The wind rustled through leaves the color of a wild fire. The sun didn't seem to touch the chill bite to the air. There was no snow, but the morning frost had only just melted away.

Keetah was intently watching a small beetle crawling along the ground as it disappeared under leaves only to reappear a few moments later. She was careful not to breath too hard, having already learned that if she scattered the leaf with the bug on it, it took a while to find again.

Her tail twitched, unable to stay still. Finally, itching to move, she bounces away and shakes her coat, short mane standing on end as she does so. Keetah bounces in place for a moment or two before a falling leaf distracts her and she turns to watch it fall.
