They say all's fair in love and war.
But maybe this time, they mean it!
When you put a thief, a troublesome matchmaker and a princess together,
You know you're bound only for trouble.
But maybe this time, they mean it!
When you put a thief, a troublesome matchmaker and a princess together,
You know you're bound only for trouble.
- The Story of Our Lives
In a country known as Verinia, there's a palace. Well, a large mansion in which royalty is said to live. Yup, royalty do live there. Her father is famous for finding gold mint in the deepest caverns and her mother is simply rich as hell. A reason why they're named royalty. Here is where we meet our princess. She lives the life of luxary, she has the best friend in the world as well. A friend who is a famous matchmaker.
Now, this princess is coming of age where she must, apparently, marry so her mother and father have asked her best friend to set her up with a blind date. So that's exactly what she's done. Though, she's only picked the best out of all the men in Verinia for her best friend. Though what no one knows is that she's accidently picked a thief for her best friend. And this thief and his men have their eye on the gold mint so now they've made a plan to have the leading thief pretend to fall in love with the princess to get the gold mint. But it seems the matchmaker has caught onto something, she has a brief idea as to what's happening and tests him on whether or not he can go out with her, afterall, she only picks the best. Her best friend can only watch as soon a ball is coming up, a ball held by the princess's father to show off the large gold mint they've found. But can the matchmaker find out the signs of the fact that this guy that she's setting her best friend up with is actually a thief, and once she finds the signs, can she prove it before the ball? And what if there's a blast from the past for all of them, especially for the matchmaker?
What happened in the past you ask? Well we'll give you a quick rundown. Well the princess has asked her friend before this to set her up with someone, and that person just so happened to be a thief, just like this guy, but it wasn't this guy. The young matchmaker knew this though she ended up falling for him and the two were together for some time, not the princess and that thief but the matchmaker and that thief. Though the matchmaker soon told the soldier that he was a thief and she had to lie to her best friend, telling her that he'd died when he was actually in jail. She felt guilty this entier time. Now, back to our time, this same thief has now been let out, well, he escaped and is now working with the other thief who's after the gold mint, though that past thief is after some sweet revenge. So, who said all's fair in love and war? Because whoever they are, they're goddamn right!
