The little Oblivionite might have been rash, stubborn, and too headstrong for her own good, but that didn't automatically mean she was stupid. Eanah was well aware that she shouldn't have been traveling to Ayr alone, and yet, here she was, boarding an airship to the windy continent all by herself, much as she had to Serenia. It was foolish. She had made a point of asking Leyn to accompany her—several times, in fact—but every time he had fed her some line about needing her scepter and more training before she made the journey. At least Anat had assured her she was ready, but he had also added the familiar "get your weapon" caveat Leyn had drummed into her. She had meant to do what they asked of her, but somehow she hadn't found the time in the weeks since.

She could wait no longer, however. The time had come. Money was limited when you lived on a stipend, and Eanah had scheduled and paid for this trip back when she had been fairly certain that someone would agree to go with her. Anyway, the girl wasn't the type to give up now that a challenge had been presented. The fact that Leyn didn't want her here had made her want to come all the more.

With her mind as preoccupied as it was, it didn't take long for the ship to reach its destination, at least from her point of view. As it docked, Eanah gathered her belongings and made her way outside, watching as the crew moored the vessel and readied the ramp that would lead the passengers back to solid ground. As soon as the captain gave the all clear, she was on land, marveling at the biting wind as it whipped her hair around her face. She pulled her hood tighter and followed closely behind a proper looking woman as the older Oblivionite entered a building that was clearly, upon further inspection, nothing more than a particularly well-appointed cavern. This section of Ayr seemed devoid of anything civilized, and even though the dense fog kept her from seeing much past ten feet in any direction, Eanah could hear the dragons call to each other as they circled overhead.

It was getting dark. She decided to stay in tonight and head out first thing in the morning. She wasn't scared. That wasn't it at all.
