Walking through the down town area of metropolis, Jeffrey yawned as everything around was not melting or engulfed in flames. He really didn’t mean to cause such a movement, but cremated bad guys were better to deal with then trying to capture them. He was not even a good or bad guy, just someone looking for a job and the thieves that surrounded him make a terrible choose. Finally lowering his body temperature to that of a normal human being, Jeffrey looked both left and right of the street before he headed to the next family owned diner or restaurant… heavens knows how bad the food was looking and tasting this year.

Nevaeh trotted down the stairs to the Daily Planet, her heels clicking on the steps. Nevaeh looked like a repoter by all means, wearing her black pencil skirt that ended just above her knees, wrapping around her waist with her white blouse; sheer black tights on with black heels and bracelets. Her lightly tanned skin made her white hair shine as it bounced in the clip she had thrown it into.
She looked both ways before frolicing across the street, strolling down the sidewalk to her favorite local restaurant. She delicately pulled a lock of hair away from her lips as she swung the door open. Once inside, Nevaeh sat at a booth in the far corner near a large front window as the waitress brought her the tea she had everyday; made perfectly without Nevaeh needing to tell her anylonger. With a smile, Nevaeh sipped away while filing through the newest stack of papers she'd recieved from the Daily Planet.

Walking into a restaurant, Jeffrey pulled off his cremated ash covered coat and tossed it on the coat pug effortlessly. Raising his hands and cracking his knuckles, he walked over to the table and waited for a waitress. As one approached him slightly scared, All he could do was smile and speak it her. “It’s okay miss… I don’t bite, but I will peck you.“ This got a strange reaction from the waitress as she started laughing and finally called down around him. “Right… I want your hottest meal as my special, I want to see it burning… literally.“ Everyone looked at him and he just kicked back and smiled, speaking again to everyone looking at him. “What? I like hot things…” This comment that Jeffrey made got a few giggles and laughs from the kids there, the parents were looking at him like he was strange… and the teens were just staring at him like he was after something. But Jeffrey was here to eat, but he was also here to replenish his reserves as a phoenix.

Nevaeh glanced up at the remark of hot things, looking at the guy lounging at the front counter. She smiled and shook her head a little before looking back to her papers. Not long before she glared at the table, looking around the table and under her mass of papers; as if on que the waitress handed her a pen. Nevaeh couldn't keep track of a pen to save her life, thus she always came to this quaint little restraunt where everyone knew her daily mannerisms.
With her newly aquired pen between her lips she reorganized the papers and started in again. She stuck the pen between her fingers as an older waitress approached with a small plate of french fries and remarked, "Child, if you don't eat how will you ever keep up?"
Nevaeh laughed softly and accepted the plate, "Elanore you know that ketchup is the mortal enemy of white shirts."

The moment the flaming hot, rare steak came out and towards him, was the moment Jeffrey smiled and straightened up. They were ready to put the fire... but the fire on the steak disappeared into jeffrey's mouth. Swallowing the flames for a moment, he burped loudly as smoke poured out of his mouth like a smoke screen. " That was delicious, I can tell this steak will be good. " Spoke Jeffrey casually as he picked up his knife and fork and started to eat the slightly cooked, rare steak.

Nevaeh's head tilted slightly, thinking to herself. He must be some kind of pyrokinetic but why would he boast such an odd behavior. She set the small plate aside and laid the stack of papers at the corner of the table. Her feet swung softly as she staired out the large window, what a boring life she led. She let out a mousey yawn and clicked her heels on the floor. Nevaeh slid out from the booth, smoothing her skirt and shirt. She smiled once more towards the funny man and assembled her papers, cassually walking towards the door.

After finishing up the rare and slightly cooked steak, Jeffrey slid out of his chair and paid the people for the good steak and the flames. But nabbed the tray of fries on the way out, they were also paid for by him with his steak. Leaving for the door, Jeffrey set all of the fries on fire as he started to eat them with the flames. Jeff liked this, but he placed his ash covered coat on and started to follow her out.

Nevaeh looked into the windows she passed and through them saw that her suspision was right, he had to be fallowing her. But, one should never jump to conclusions. Nevaeh straightened up with a small smirk and purposly led him through crowds of people and awkward obsticles; wondering if he would go through the trouble or if he was even fallowing her at all. After quite a route, she had returned to the Daily Planet. Sliding her papers into a minilla folder she sealed it and dropped it off inside quickly before reamerging to continue her game with the man from the resturant.

After a moment of eating the flaming fries, He tossed the melted container aside and purposely turned a street corner. As he walked down the back alley, he smiled as he jumped into the air and let his body change to that of a bird… the ultimate form, the phoenix. With that being done, he flew high enough to where he was out of distance with everything… but close enough to see her for a while. He watched her enter the daily planet and leave quickly, her paper work was gone now and the chase was finally on as he had the high area. He liked playing this game, was she liking it too…

Nevaeh cassually strolled down the street, not to draw attention to herself. After a few blocks she still couldn't see him, he either gave up or found a new vantage point. She giggled to herself, did he thing he was the only one with a special quality.
Nevaeh passed under an awning but never emerged, instead she passed out the other side of the awning with black hair and a casual set of jeans and a long sweater. At least, that is how she appeared. No one notices anyone in the big city, she knew no one would notice the illusion she enveloped herself in. To everyone else she was a completely different person with dark hair, green eyes and fair skin. She skipped down the sidewalk thinking, try to find me now.

Sadly she was in for a real disappointment, he had been watching her for a while where she was going. And she she entered and didn't leave, Jeffrey smiled as he found an alley to change again. This time he went into the Awning to examine the place, he was impressed that she was not here... but she must have changed while she was in here. So the hunt was on, now more determined to track her down now.

Nevaeh wandered on, she hadn't seen him for a couple minutes now. She stepped up onto the stone edge of an uprisen flower bed next to a shop corner and looked up into the sky. It was a particularly beautiful day in Metropolis, her thoughts wandered between powers and heroes, to Superman and other iconic Super Heroes. She twirled her hair as she thought, still in her illusional disguise. She mumbled to her self in her zoned state, "I totally won."

Returning to the alley way with a smile on his face, he took up his phoenix form once more and took off like a rocket. He would return to the same area in the sky but this time would be looking through the people who had left, one of them looked promising with her little victory dance… she was cure but if it was not her, then he had no problem chatting her up… Also he possessed excellent hearing as a bird and human. Flying to the flower bed before shifting back into his human form, the plants and flowers in the area started to burn and smoke in his divine presence. “Hey there… what’s your name.” Asked Jeff as he turned down the heat of the area, he really felt good about her.

Nevaeh looked over to him, she knew it was him but she wasn't sure he knew who she was. The poor flowers smoldering and dying in the pretty bed, poor dears. Nevaeh stayed in her disguise of black hair, green eyes and pale skin. In a playful way she hopped off the stone wall, "What will you give me if I tell?" she said, slowly walking around the bed while twirling an intact flower in her fingertips. Her eyes occasionally glancing at him. She knew he would probably recognize her voice so she spoke in a higher pitch with a slight accent that seemed flawless.
