[PRP] Irritation (Anemy & Ahote)

The black pup rolled over onto her back. She strangly felt insulted. No one had said anything insulting to her, it was just that once again her family didn't bother to wake her up when night came. What was worse was that it was becoming an ongoing theme, she'd wake up just as the last of her siblings ran out of the den. She rolled over onto her side now. "Tch." She spat out in disgust. The fact that no one had bothered to awaken her from slumber was begining to irritate Anemy. Maybe she'd just stay in the den all night, see if anyone cared enough to come back.

She doubted it, and it was probabley the doubt that led to Anemy crying. When she noticed that she was crying, she quickly rubbed away the tears. She wasn't sad! She was angry for crying out loud! There was no reason too look stupid and cry like a little sissy. What would her family think of her then? That she was a weakling? No, Anemy wouldn't let that happen, she refused to let that happen. As such, she refused to cry. Only it was kind of noticable that she was crying in the first place, her facial expression gave it away.
Now she really hoped no one cared to come back...

Ahote was slowly bouncing his way back towards the family den. He had managed to get dinner, had played around with his brothers, gone swimming, and had gotten a good look at the stars while he had been out there. If that wasn't great enough, the moon was shining bright, lighting up his path to the den.

Once he bounced into the den, he heard the faint sound of crying. He looked around as his eyes adjusted and spotted one of his siblings lying on the ground. He went over to curl up next to them and sniffed to figure out which one of the other pups it was. "What's wrong, Anemy?"

She rubbed away the last of her tears. "Nothing." she muttered, avoiding eye contact with her brother. She could tell it was Ahote. For some reason she could remember Ahote without having to figure out his scent, he was just plainly familiar to her. "None of you woke me up..." Her voice was half-shaky. As if she was going to start crying again.

The male pup threw a paw over his sister, cuddling her, and gave a small lick to her head.

"Sorry, I left as soon as I woke up. Some of the others were here so I figured they'd get you up." He didn't like the shakiness of her voice and nuzzled his head against her to attempt to calm her and as a way of apology.

"That's alright then I guess." It was understandable that Ahote would rely on their siblings to wake her up to play. She rubbed at her eyes again, then spoke more. "Let's go exploring." She said. Exploring would cheer her up. It always did, and so she knew that it would be best to go and explore.

Other than that she wanted to know what was so important that her other siblings had to ignore her and just leave. It had better be a good reason, or Anemy might just ignored them too.

Ahote gave his sister another small cuddle and nuzzle against hre head. Even if she did have a tendency to get on their nerves sometimes, someone still should have woken her up. How would they feel if one of them got left behind while everyone else was out playing?

"Alright, what do you have in mind?"

Anemy thought about it for a moment. Where should they go... She shook her head, "I don't know, you pick." With her being sadden the way she was, Anemy felt it might have been best if she let her brother decided what they were going to do. Where they would explore. She still felt a little upset and unable to come up with a reasonable idea after all. So now Ahote could have the reins.

The pup sighed and stretched out beside his sister, keeping his paw around her. He had already been out, running around; he didn't really have any place in particular that he wanted to explore right now.

"You're the one that got left behind," he replied; getting left behind must have made her feel really bad if she was trying to give the choice over to him, "You can decide what you want to do."

Anemy bit her lip and thought about where to go. "Let's explore the forest." She said. The forest sounded exiciting. She rose to her feet and let her tail start wagging, now that she had a set destenation she was feeling better about being abandoned.

Ahote gave a small, comforting lick to his sister's head before getting up. Now that sounded more like his sister. "Alright, lead the way."

Anemy ran out of the den happily, allowing the moon to show whatever it could of her blackened pelt. She blinked at the brightness of the moon tonight. How odd, it was never usually this bright, was it? She began to wonder if she had simply ignored how bright the moon was before. Then the pup shook her head and set off toward exploring the forest.

Ahote chuckled as his sister got up and raced out of the den. Not wanting to fall behind, he quickly followed her out, embracing the wonder of the full moon that had the entire area lit up. At least there would be a lot of light while they were exploring the forest just in case there was something else there besides them.

Anemy continued to run about, making a beeline for the edge of the forest. She looked foward to her newest adventure already. She smiled at the fact that it was Ahote with her. Ahote and her always found interesting things, so she couldn't wait to start digging up the earth and investigating what was on the ground around her.

The male pup followed after his sister towards the forest. At least now she didn't seem so upset and she had stopped crying. He wondered what she would end up finding for them this time while they explored.

Anemy sniffed around. She was eager to find an interesting scent to investigate. "Do you smell something?" She asked her brother. Anemy knew there was something unquie smelling around here, but she wanted to know if she was imaging it or not.
