Text to Rep: Please meet me in the 2nd floor dorm lounge, north end.

Text to Ro: Please meet me in the 2nd floor dorm lounge, north end.

Jordan had checked schedules and made sure both Rep and Ro were free before putting his plan into action; now all that was left was to wait for them to show up. He leaned against the wall beside the door. The paper bag in which he had his planned incentives sat on the floor beside him.

He hoped fervently that this would work.

Rep eyed the text when it arrived with absolute suspicion. It sounded like another scolding to him, unnervingly formal, except no matter how he tried wracking his brains he couldn't even begin to guess what it was he was being told off for. It couldn't be Ro, that was sorted out, it couldn't be Otto, he knew it was just a stupid spar, it hadn't seemed serious. Maybe it was the stash of mugs and booze, but even that, he reckoned was pretty harmless all considered.

Still he wasn't one to disobey a request and with a heavy sigh, he headed off straight away in the direction of the lounge, wandering in with obvious tentative curiosity, only spotting Jordan after a proper scan of the room, pausing in his tracks.

"You like, wanted me for something?" he asked, not able to keep the slight worry out of his voice.

Ro glanced at his phone wearily. He hadn't spoken to Jordan since he while event. Not even after talking to Candace he just didn't have it in him to do it.

So when the text arrived he gave his own heavy sigh de summoning Syliva before leaving the training grounds. When he finally arrived he froze on the spot.

"What is this Jordan?" Rep was for the most part ignored.

Rep got a not-very-reassuring smile. "Hang on just a minute," Jordan said.

When Ro arrived, Jordan closed the door, leaned against it, and told them both, "Work it out. No weapons, no punching, there's beer and Doritos in this bag but I'm not sharing if you can't come to a peaceful resolution." He indicated the bag on the floor with his toe, then looked to Rep. "You start."

Still not entirely sure what the hell was going on, Rep gave Ro a suspicious look when he arrived, not a particularly nasty one, simply puzzled why he was even there in the first place.

However when what was expected of him was made clear he gave Jordan a deer in the headlights stare before looking hopefully at the closed door, then back. Fantastic. Taking a long slow deep breath he turned to eye Ro, blank and resigned rather than aggressive as he had been, not even so much as arguing with the order. "I don't know where to start I guess. I figured it'd sort of be resolved eventually on its own. I'd say sorry for the spar, but I'm not, there'll be other ones like it and you'll have to deal with it. I guess what happened after it was regrettable though." He shrugged. "What can I say, I get angry."

Ro looked at Jordan, then Rep. He glanced at the treat bag and back to Rep, brown eyes seeming to stare past the red head before looking away as he spoke.

"Fine. So spars get out of hand. You laughed, you stomped my mangled shoulder that you wrecked into the dirt laughing at me. And all you can say is you where angry? Why." He turned to look at him now, eyes weary and body language just as much. "I want to believe Jordan. That you aren't a bad person. Every once in a while you look at me, or say something to me. Something that almost makes me believe that. But after everything that's happened? All because I was friends with Jordan?" He moved away from the other two slumping into a chair.

"I want to hate you. I want to hurt you. And I want to yell at Jordan. I cleaved a desk in half before finishing a bottle of whiskey and making myself sick. What did I do to you to deserve all that Hayes then wanting to be friends with you and Jordan."

Jordan crossed his arms and leaned against the door, not interrupting. It might do Rep some good to hear how much he'd managed to hurt Ro, he reflected; some good, anyway, if he could be kept from getting too defensive and lashing out. But that was why Jordan had made sure that this confrontation occurred with him present. If these two needed a mediator, they had one.

Jordan's presence did at least seem to have a noticeable effect on Rep, there was something just a bit more unguarded, lacking the usual edge of smug arrogance he tended to use as a leading edge into arguments. Rather than smirk at him infuriatingly as he eyed him, his expression stayed blank, actually watching him with a keen sort of interest as he said his part - listening for a change.

"Well." he finally said after a few moments, eyes half lidded as he looked away, his voice a somewhat laid back drawl. "You know why I was angry. I felt like you were a threat, it wasn't the right thing to do, aye. But I didn't really think it was much of a secret that I had like. Anger issues. Fighting gets me in the mood for some excessive violence and I'm not always ******** fantastic at resisting, especially with Tracey as amped up as he is.." There was guilt tangled up with the raw satisfaction of grinding Ro's shoulder against the ground, it didn't matter that it was his - it had been primal and the dislike a mere excuse.

He slowly wandered over to flop down in another chair opposite Ro, still giving him that surprisingly keen blue gaze, as if on the defensive. He was forever wary of being manipulated by other people. Thusfar though, he got nothing but hurt and honesty from the other man.

"I'm probably a bad person." he said evenly. "I've done a lot of s**t stuff, and I'll likely do a lot more. I'm not going to become some nice ******** guy overnight. Some s**t you learn so deep you don't ever really unlearn it. I learned someone pushes you just a little ******** bit, you make sure they never push you again. Excessive force is the name of the ******** game."

He finally smirked, though the expression was slightly more wry than his usual smug b*****d expression. He pointed at the ragged meandering scar across the irregular bridge of his. "Y'see this s**t? I got too close to some guys burd one time. Wasn't even interested in the b***h, she was just a ******** whore. He comes up to me, out of nowhere, cracks a chib...a like, a blade, across my ******** face. Excessive ******** force. I figured, it worked on me, it'd probably work on you. "

With a sigh he shrugged his shoulders. "I'm no here to soothe your pity party and tell you you are a good guy and didn't deserve what happened. No one deserves most s**t that happens in the world. All I'm gonna ******** say is that as far as I'm concerned, its a non-issue going forward so.."

Ro watched from his seat as Rep sat down across from him. He didn't scoff but he did let out a dry bitter laugh. "Fine. I made a mistake. I know you like fighting I figured I don't know. You would work out your anger and we could talk. Well that ended... swimmingly."

He slumped a little lower in the chair leaning overy resting on one arm chin in hand watching Rep. He was completely different. Jordan did have a strange effect on him. "I didn't mean to push. But when you shunned me after I worried about you on twitter it hurt. Then it all just blew up for no reason." He listened to the story frowning but it was a frown of honest worry.

"You don't have to be like that with everyone. You want the truth? In another time. Another place where you and Harrison weren't around. yeah maybe I would have liked Jordan, but he's with you. With Harrison. No matter how I feel or start to feel I wouldn't do a thing about it..."

He shifted sitting back a bit a weary smile of his own now "You have. No idea. How lucky you are to have someone like Jordan. And I'm not some spiteful a** who would ruin something like that. I spend time with him yes but I have no motive for that other then he's nice. He jokes he laughs we talk about stupid pointless s**t and groan in agony knowing our weapons gossiped worse then Tracey on twitter. I don't want to lose that friend any more then you want to lose him as your..." He paused. Boyfriend would be the term to use but he hesitated. "As your partner? I don't care what you call it but he makes you a better person Rep. in some strange way he does. And I have no desire to change that."

For a moment he sat in silence for a moment then looked at Jordan. "Beer and chips?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 29, 2012 1:47 pm

Jordan had half expected Ro to get angry again, but he hadn't; it seemed like he'd understood more than Rep had said. Good. A tension Jordan hadn't known he was carrying seeped out of his shoulders. "Beer and chips," he agreed, and brought the bag over to the table.

Ro would probably never quite realise the absolutely monumental act of self control it took for Rep to stop himself from getting angry in response to him talking about what ifs, times if he and Harrison weren't around, other possibilities, of feelings spoken about as if they were a possibility in future. He'd dealt with his anger but that didn't mean that when he heard things like that terror and hurt didn't seize him like icy talons in his flesh. He couldn't understand why he needed to hear it, why the other man couldn't simply lie, say he wasn't interested and that was that. His expression remained unreadable, the familiar mask of indifference saving him from wrecking the progress they'd made.

He tried hard to focus on the good things, the fact he said he wouldn't act on it, that he made Rep a better person. But it was still hard, and the fear still tugged at him.

<>

Trust him.>

Rep very shallowly exhaled, relaxing the knotted rage that had threatened to paralyse him. He simply nodded.

Aye, beer. Beer would be ******** fantastic right about now.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 29, 2012 2:26 pm

Ro watched in silence as the bag was brought over, placed on a table between him and Rep. Rep didn't move, didn't change that calm mask. But it nagged Ro that it didn't, it wasn't like Rep. He shrank back down in his chair knowing he might have made a mistake, but he let it drop. Instead he reached over to the bag unrolling it pulling out the beers first breaking one can from the pack placing it down sliding it over quietly before taking his own and pulling out the Doritos next.

Taking his own he simply sat in a slightly awkward silence, worried anything else he said would ruin what ever had just happened.

Jordan took a can for himself, watching Rep narrowly; he'd seen the way his boyfriend had frozen up at what Ro had said. But it seemed that there wasn't going to be an explosion, and after a long, tense moment, he relaxed just slightly. "Sorry for pulling that on you guys," he said.

Rep didn't like silences. They were irritating. They let him fill the gaps with thoughts, and right about now that didn't help. He grabbed a can and opened it noisily, taking a swig of it to chase away the lingering anxieties, giving Jordan the slightest of smiles. He was okay, he trusted him.

"I'd be annoyed if you hadn't brought compensation."

"Eh... you had the right intentions Jordan, and it um... I guess it's worked out?" He finally took one of the beers himself staring at it for a long time.

"I've never... actually had beer." He rolled the can over in his hand. "Just uhh well the heavier stuff." He thought back to his room, smashing the desk, the bottle up in his drawer. Also to a few memories of the past before opening the can and taking a swig. He paused for a moment and made a slight face before having more.

"This is... not that good."
