The task seemed easy enough: get energy with mirrorwraith, win at everything.
Aurora decided that her first hit would be at a fancy shmancy restaurant, known for its romantic ambiance (or so she heard). When couples left, she'd just hit up a little of their energy with her mirror wraith. Not TOO much, of course. She didn't want people to die. Enough where they would fall into each other's arms when they got home would do. Tee hee hee.
She hid up on the building's roof, peeking out every so often to deploy her wraith before ducking back down again. It was kind of exciting, yet kind of boring at the same time. Peek out, find victim, get energy, bring wraith back to shard, hide. Lather, rinse, repeat. Aurora figured two hours would be enough for one night before she had to get back to her homework and bed. But in the meantime, at least she could daydream.
It was during one of these little daydreaming moments that she didn't register the Order closeby...

'Run around defeating evil' had not been the most enlightening speech Pandora had ever received in her life. Nor, it seemed, would it be the last for a long time.
Powering up gave her a terrible sort of high. It made her feel like she could do something, everything, and that was dangerous for the personality of Liberty Marie. It was dangerous because she knew none of the in and outs of Senshidom. A cat had told her she had a past life, memories she could access. That she could travel into space of all things, and that her only real duty was to fight back against the seeping Chaos that sought to destroy the earth.
It was like a bad action film with no plot.
But she could jump buildings, and she felt alive. Pandora had spent the first few powered-up moments sprinting around Destiny City late at night. Who was going to catch her, really? It was an ego trip.
And so when she felt that tickling, angry tingle that she knew in her very soul to be Chaos, Liberty didn't hesitate. She saw a public place, and felt an enemy, and that was plenty enough to get her upset.
The building's height was easy to clear. Her heart was beating rapidly, heavy on adrenaline while her eyes scanned the dirty rooftop.
"I know you're here." It was projected loudly, though she'd yet to catch sight of her opponent. It would be her first physical encounter with the chaos-faction. No one had given her a rulebook; the training from a cat was poor at best. Anything was possible.

"I know you're here." A foreign voice, a woman's, invaded one of the sweetest daydreams Aurora had had in quite awhile. At first she thought it was part of the actual dream, but the presence of Order encroached upon her soul. She had to turn around and blink her eyes to awaken herself. Luckily her shard hid quite snugly in her pouch, and the mirror wraith was safe and sound. Phew~ "Hey!" She held up her hand in a half-wave and replaced a stupid dreamy grin with just a smile. Whoever called out hadn't made herself known yet, however, so the action did nothing. Oop, so much for hiding herself. Aurora quickly hopped out of the shadows, her hands behind her back, so that she could look upon this evening's intruder. Oo, pretty~ "Hiya! Nice night, huh?"

A punch, an angry retort, aggression: those had all been things Pandora had expected. A wave, a smile, and a hello were not what Pandora had thought were coming.
She narrowed her eyes, her hands formed fists. She forced herself to release the tension in her muscles.
Risking a few seconds, she let her eyes scan the area. Was there something she was missing? She took a few steps forwards. If this was a trick of distraction, Pandora wasn't going to fall for it.
"I'm not big on small talk." The Chaos girl, short skirt, long, bright hair, had a femininity about her that made they idea of punching her awkward. Don't hit girls.
"What were you doing here?" Perhaps giving the chaos senshi a chance to talk wouldn't be harmful. Kill or purify, she'd been told. She didn't know how she felt about either.

Aurora certainly hadn't called for back-up for her first night of collecting energy. The only people there were two senshi and a few people coming and going below. "No? Oh." The girl shifted her weight from one foot to the other, laughed nervously. "Hahaha, I was just, y'know, doing some stuff. Thinking about things." Collecting energy. "Y'know, you're the first sailor senshi I ever met. That's pretty cool. I like your outfit. Who might you be?" As she cheerfully chatted away, she made no move whatsoever. Having never been in this situation yet, Aurora had no idea what to do other than make a friend - or at least try to.

Liberty's eyebrows raised and she unclenched her jaw. Her eyes widened a little, and she took in a deep breath.
How old was this girl? She sounded like a heterosexual teenager caught daydreaming about boys.
"What sort of stuff?" she pressed, but the anger was starting to fade from her voice. The adrenaline lingered, making her feel agitated and jumpy. But no one expected her to try and attack some young girl, did they? How dangerous could someone like this really be?
"Thanks." Her fingers fiddled with the ties to her hat. "I'm--" she stopped herself, realizing she'd almost given out her civilian name. "You can call me Pandora. Who are you?"

"Pandora," the girl repeated her name, trying it out. "Oh! Like Pandora and her box. Stirring up trouble. That -- is so cooool." She knew it was hardly the time and the place to fawn about the girl's outfit and her name, but she just couldn't help it. This was all so new to her and she was all so painfully naive that it hurt. "I'm Aurora." The dark mirror senshi grinned. "Nice to meet'cha, Pandora. Uhhh.. Is this the part where we have to fight it out? I've, uh, never been in one before."

All Liberty could manage was a blink. "Like that," she agreed. Though, the only thing she seemed to be stirring up were inexperienced young girls who shouldn't have been on the street in the first place.
Not that a total of 'one' fights could be counted as a track record.
"I think, maybe, you should go home," Liberty offered instead. What was she supposed to do? Attack a girl who had no idea what she was doing? That didn't seem very pure, or good.
"I don't think this is the place for you."

Whoa. Just like that, the white moon senshi would let her leave? That was amaaazing. If all battles went like this, then she wouldn't have to worry! Sadly, all battles would not be like this. Aurora licked her lips and fidgeted, wringing the hem of her skirt with hidden hands. "Yeah, I guess so. But then I wouldn't meet my quota. As far as I know, quotas are like super important. So, I guess I shouldn't leave. Maybe some sparring would be good for me!" She paused to think about it. "Yeah... yeah. If we do spar, I won't take it personally though!" How considerate of her~

Sick creeps.
They were making her reach a quota? Her fists were clenching again, along with her jaw.
This was wrong on so many levels. It felt like some giant trick. The kind of tests where they ordered people to do something borderline heinous to see if they would actually do it.
But what kind of technology could make someone materialize clothes, become twice as fast, and dissipate supposed youma from thin air?
"What happens if you don't reach quota?"

"Uhm..." Aurora hadn't thought that far ahead. What if she didn't fulfill her self-imposed quota of two hours a night? Would Princess Ares be mad at her? Oh man, that would suck. Just the thought of disappointing Ares brought a pit in her stomach. As she debated about this in her head, her face contorted into a pained wince. "I.. don't want to think about what would happen if I didn't reach my quota..."

It was the kind of answer Pandora had been expecting. This, at least, was in line with what she'd been told.
"It sounds like your leaders want what's best for them, not you." The words, though they sounded right, had no heart. She was reciting lines, making inferences, she didn't know.
Liberty took in a deep breath and adjusted the cuffs of her shirt. There were smaller matters to adress. For now, these were the most important ones. "You've got one more chance to go home." She had to draw the line somewhere.
"If you really want a fight, you've got to start it. I'm open. Throw the first punch."

"Oh! Uhm~.. Really, I'm doing what's best for you, though." And that was gathering energy so that senshi like Pandora could come back to them, oooorrrr something. The details were a bit fuzzy in her head. She made a note to ask about this subject later. For now, the trouble at hand. Now Pandora seemed more or less determined not to let her go back to that important work she didn't quuiiiiite understand. Aurora fidgeted in place. "If you insist! Remember, no hard feelings or anything, okay?" Aurora walked up to her, hands wringing themselves in front of her. It was now or never, do or die, laugh or... laugh. "Okay!" She pulled back her right hand, clenched it into a fist. Ready... Aim.. "Uh, kerpowie!" And thus began the first battle of Sailor Aurora's career, with a light shove to Sailor Pandora's shoulder.

Pandora tensed up as Aurora approached her. Whether or not she'd given permission, letting someone into your personal space with violent intentions was never a safe bet.
Could she be underestimating this little girl? If she was, certainly Aurora had pulled the hat completely over her head.
It was a bit of an anti-climactic moment.
The small shove pushed into her shoulder and Pandora's hand snapped up, reaching for a wrist. The member of Order stepped to the side, attempting to drag Aurora's arm with her. One, steady kick from her foot searched to knock her opponent off her feet and onto her knees.
Best end the fight quickly, send the poor girl home, and then divert the rest of the night to thinking.

Whoa. Whoa, WHOA. "Waaagh!" Pandora easily accomplished what she aimed to do, sending the senshi of romance down to her knees. Complete with dazed look. Aurora's first fight wasn't exaaaaactly going very well for her. Then again, she really didn't know what to expect in the first place! Or how to deal with it. Or, uh, how to fight. Yeah. Ahem. The senshi blew her attacker a kiss with her free hand. "Aurora Lovelove Ensnare!" Oh please work, please work, please let go of her hand so she can get away! No hard feelings, of course~ Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Aurora Lovelove Ensnare! Aurora blows a kiss at the target, ensnaring them in her trap. The victim feels a warm, euphoric sensation as they gaze back upon the senshi of romance. Colors are brighter for them, smells oh so much sweeter, and the world becomes their oyster as they feel absolutely great about themselves. This works as a temporary stunning attack, as the victim spends the first few seconds lost in their drowsy euphoria.
