Battle Arena [B] Act 1 -Started

Marcus would groan as they were taunted once more by the shining force field that seemed to continue to stand in their way, prevent them from escaping. All of the other tamers and their digimon had made an effort to remove the wall and it looked up their attacks were starting to wear the wall down to its last legs. "Destino, it's up to know... Bust that wall down!"

The dog would smirk and then ball his green gloved fists before charging at the doorway. "I'll end this with one punch... GAO RUSH!!" With a beastly howl, the dog digimon would deliver a rather fatal blow that would shatter the wall completely, sending the last three of the pawnchessmon flying in different directions. "Hmph... and that's how you do it." The red hound would bark confidently.

Marcus would come up behind his partner and would rub the hound behind the ears. "That was a great display of power, Destino... I bet you're tired from that."

"Hell yea, I'm tired!"

After taking the punishment of blades, fire, and fists, the pawnchessmon's ultimate defense would finally crumble leaving nothing more but an open path towards the exit of the Colosseum.

I Will Fight


Blitz would look at Veemon and said, "I guess.". He then watched as the PawnChessmon's defense were obliterated. He sighed as he held his sheated weapon in his hand. He then turned to Nicholas and awaited for him to say something.

Nicholas would sigh when the battle was finally over with the Gaomon of Marcus knocking out the pawnchessmon. He then turned to look at everyone and said, "Well that was tiring. Who would have thought that those PawnChessmon could make a powerful defence like that one. Anyways we shouldn't stop moving now that we took that hindrance away. We don't know whether the Royal Knights are following us or not so lets start moving.". Nicholas then began to move towards the exit of the Colosseum with Blitz following him his hand holding the scabbard of the long sword with the long sword sheated inside it. He hoped that there would be no more encounters like that one. It was tough enough as it was to take out those PawnChessmon so he could not imagine what else the Royal Knights had planned for them in terms of their army attacking them.

"Phew..." They'd done it. Somehow. Kazu patted Veemon on the head, the little guy smiled as the sword de-materialized from his hand. Kazu looked around the group, no-one was horribly injured, it was seemingly just Marcus' arm. In response to Nick Kazu nodded, "No kidding. Those guys were tough as a brick sh*t-house." he scratched the back of his head as Nick suggested they move on. The Tamer nodded and broke out running towards the exit. Veemon joined in, taking off at a pace to match his Tamer.

As he ran Kazu considered the fallout from this event, the scale was begining to hit him and a sense of panic was building. There would be significantly fewer humans in the Digital World. And even fewer Digimon that would be willing to trust humans, especially if they were the cause for permanent deletion. Not even the Digimon in the arena would survive. "Not even Digi-Tama..." Kazu's fist clenched tighter. Even with all the social fallout he still had to concern himself with Marcus. He was searching out Digi-Soul, something almost exclusive to humans. With less humans his efforts would have an even more seismic impact upon the world. Kazu shook his head, he'd never escape this cycle with Marcus. Part of him dreaded having to fight to protect those weaker then he, part of him relished it. Ego boost was an understatement, he knew he needed to yank his head out of the clouds but there was something, a nagging urge to prove to others how powerful he was, and if surviving this, defying the Royal Knights and clashing time and again with Marcus was the way to do so. Panic fading into a dull determination Kazu locked his eyes on the exit. "So be it..."

Veemon's ears flattened somewhat at Kazu's voice, his Tamer was obsessed with his ideal of good, so much so that it was actually causing more harm and conflicting with his own ideal. Veemon just wanted his friend to return to how he was in the early days. Trusting of others, kind-hearted and not obsessed with proving a point. He hoped that the current situation would force his Tamer to re-think his priorities, calm down and maybe just enjoy his time in the Digital World. "C'mon Kazu! We're nearly there!" smiling as best he could Veemon overtook Kazu slightly and gave his Tamer a cheeky wink as they ran for the exit.

ENCOUNTER 3

Ever so close to the exit, the group of tamers would run into yet another group of digimon wishing to oppose them. This time it would be 2 strabimon that would each be riding on top of a Knightchessmon. Standing next to the Knightchessmon would be another set of Knightchessmon, meaning that this encounter would be composed of 4 Knightchessmon and 3 strabimon that were acting as the riders.

"In the name of the Ancient Warriors, we order you to halt!" the little rookie of lobomon and descendant of AncientGarurumon would call out. "Your treachery against the digimon world ends here, spawn of Lucemon!"

At the start of the encounter, the two KnightChessmon that were being used as saddle horses would glow with the power of light as they received a boost in power from the strabimon that were riding on their backs. [BKnight1 and WKnight1 HITs increase +2 (+1Highjack, +1 Acrobatic)]

While facing all rookie digimon, the other two knights would ready their pins and fling them at Kazu and Nicholas... both of the darts would miss their targets.

I Will Fight


Nicholas would whistle as they neared the exit when suddenly there were two Strabimon riding on top of one KnightChessmon White and one KnightChessmon Black as well as one extra of each color following them. He stopped in his tracks and blinked. He then heard the Strabimon speak and he tilted his head to the side wondering what he meant by spawn of Lucemon. As far as he was concerned he had never met Lucemon in his life. The only titled digimon he had ever met was the Royal Knight Craniamon but that was all. No one more no one less. Nicholas began to walk closer and said, "I don't know what you are talking about. We're not spawns of Luc.....". Nicholas was then cut off when the two other KnightChessmon threw their pins at him and Kazu. Nicholas blinked as it came straight for him but Blitz quickly pushed Nicholas out of the way. Nicholas shook his head and then stood up before he said, "It seems they don't want to talk. Very well then you left us with no other choice in the matter. Come on guys lets take them out."

Blitz readied his blade as he glared at the KnightChessmon that had attacked its tamer. Blitz then unsheated his long sword and tossed it towards Nicholas who caught it. Blitz then dashed at the KnightChessmon White which had thrown a pin at his tamer with amazing speed before he stopped in front of it and tossed its sword high into the air. He then shouted, Vee Punch. Blitz then began to windmill its left hand rapidly before it delivered a powerful punch at the KnightChessmon White. Blitz then quickly jumped into the air and kicked off the KnightChessmon Whites back before in mid air it grabbed its sword which was now falling down. As it reached its highest jumping height he swung his sword up into the air before he began to fall down. He then screamed, "Chesto!!!", before performing a final bisecting slash at the KnightChessmon White. The KnightChessmon White was cut into two and Blitz simply turned away as it split apart before he placed his blade on his shoulder and said, "There is nothing my blade cannot cut!". The KnightChessmon White then disappeared into data.

Nicholas would just facepalm at what he saw. He then murmured to himself, "You watched way too many anime and played way too many games while you were in the human world Blitz.". He sighed wondering why Blitz suddenly had the urge to do that since he typically was the normal one of the group having no real quirk unlike him and most of his digimon though now it seemed like he got his own quirk."

Marcus would begin to notice that they were getting really close and that meant that, if this were a video game... the final boss would soon be coming up. "I hope you guys are ready because I don't think we'll be getting out of this building quite so easily." He would say as he looked back at the other three tamers.

"MARCUS LOOK OUT!!!" Gaomon would quickly, using his dog like senses, would quickly tackle his partner to the ground as two rather large needles flew past their group and into the wall, causing it to crumble behind them. The dog digimon would look up at the digimon and would growl.

They would then listen as the opposing digimon made their claims. "Spawn of Lucemon?! Sh*t... how did they know about that?!" Marcus would exclaim. With that, it all started to make sense why the digimon were after them. Was it really all because of the rumors of lucemon hiring tamers to hunt down other tamers for digi-soul? Was this all his fault as he proved to the prideful demon lord that digi-souls could be harnessed manually and then extracted?! All of a sudden it started to come back to him, that down-heartening feeling that by him coming back to save the digital world, he was condemning it to a face worse fate... all-out extermination of all things having to do with human tamers. But this time, something would click... "Thanks Destino... you should take a break." He would say as he noticed that his partner was heavily panting. He would pull the tourney digivice and would point it at the partner that was still laying on top of him. "Digitize..." After pressing the digitize button, his dog digimon would dissolve into data. "REALIZE... YUKIAGUMON!"

Edit: After watching his ally, Nicholas, and his Veemon charge into action, he would realize that they'd have to escape first before anything could be solved especially the case of how Lucemon was involved in this. The tamer would stand up once more and would then point his digivice to release a white version of an agumon that would be hoping a blue, green, and gray axe. "It's about time I got some action!" the dinosaur would exclaim in a girlie, but still tough voice.

"Yeah... Destino needed a break, so go join them and kick some a**!"

Dawn stayed behind the group. He noticed that pins had been thrown and he rushed to cover. He seen how Marcus and Nicholas had dodged two of them. Dawn then smiled to himself."Is it me or are these things a bit off today?"

Dracomon chuckled a bit." I think your right bro." Draco jumped off of Dawn's back and started to prepare.

Dawn then yawned and scratched his eyes."This is starting to get tiring." Dawn said between his yawn.

Draco patted Dawn on the back."Just a bit further buddy."

Dawn smiled."Hey sometimes i wonder who's the digimon here."

Kazu would come to a dead stop, pushing Veemon back as a dart zipped past his face, slamming into the ground near them. A flicker of anger flared up in Kazu, but before he could do anything Nick and Blitz had burst into action, slaying one of the KnightChessmon in an instant. The Tamer would nod to his partner and point to the KnightChessmon Black. "Get 'im buddy!" Veemon would nod and launch himself at the opposing warrior.

"Vee-Headbutt!" Veemon would slam into the stomach of the centaur, following up with a spin kick into his helmeted chin. Kazu would look and see Dawn hiding behind a rock. Marcus had tagged out his Gaomon for a pretty menacing SnowAgumon and was prepping to attack. The subtle flares of anger began building up inside Kazu once more. "Dawn! Attack you friggin' idiot!" the anger was ebbing fast and being replaces with a tsunami of panic. How the hell were they supposed to punch through these guys if not everyone was giving their all!?

ENCOUNTER 3

The appearance of the four Knightchessmon must have had quite an astonishing effect on the tamers as only two of them had actually responded through combat. Would this division in offense and defense prove good for the two attacks? Only fate (and dice) would know for sure.

"Why do you resist our authority?!" the first of the strabimon, riding a BlackKnight, would call out. "Does your lives as well as your partner's lives mean that little to you?!" The second, riding a WhiteKnight would continue.

The first of the knightchessmon, a non-escorting white one, would would fall to the rather flashes sword attacks made by the sword-wielding Veemon [Nicholas]. "There will be RETRIBUTION!!!" It would howl as it was sliced in half, reduced to not-so-reconstructable data.

The second Knightchessmon [1HP left], a non-escorting black one, would be attacked by the other veemon for rather lethal damage that would have it reeling back. "That hurt, you knave! TAKE THIS! Soulful Kick!" With it's forelegs, it would deal a double kick in attempt to counter attack the veemon's kick that was delivered to his gut and chin... it would miss, probably due to the fact it was previously hit in the head. [Miss...]

The other two knights [5HP; Escorting] would ready their pins and fling them at Marcus and Snowagumon as they were unable to find the other tamer and his digimon [Dawn & Dracomon]... both of the darts would HIT their targets, causing a massive explosion that would then trigger for debris to fall on the tamer and his digimon. [CRITICAL 2dmg Each]

It would all happen so quickly and before he knew it, he was going in and out of consciousness. The battle had started quickly, but not on their side... Kazu and Nicholas were the only ones that went in to battle, but even then their efforts did not prove to be all that useful as both Marcus and Void were hit by exploding pins. With ax in hand, Void was able to defend herself somewhat, but Marcus was another story...

"ACK!!! Vo... void... get them!" The tamer would say weakly as he was now half covered by debris, consciousness fading. His digivice would begin to resonate with a warm light as if it were trying to help keep him from dying.

"NOOOO!!!!" From out of the dust and debris, a blue creature would shoot towards the digimon in an icy fury "TAKE THIS!!! Ice Kamukamu!!". Blinded by rage, she would go into a frontal spinning attack that would slice through the KnightchessmonBlk and then continue in a wild swing towards the KnightChessmonBlk (escorting). The attack would be demolish the first one, but would be weakened seriously as it it the second. "Dammit! It's not enough." She would comment as she jumped back after her attack hit. [Damage reduced by lost of partner.]

She would be too caught up in getting revenge to notice that her attack was reduced because her partner was out of commission.

Nicholas would blink as it all came down and happened. The two knights that had a Strabimon riding on them threw their pins straight at Marcus and his SnowAgumon which exploded on contact which cause debris to fall on them. The SnowAgumon survived but Marcus was caught under debris. His SnowAgumon going into a state of rage would then attack without care. Nicholas would blink and said, "Blitz I want you to keep the KnightChessmon distracted. If possible take them out while you are at it. You got that?". The Veemon would nod before it dashed at the KnightChessmon which had been injured by the SnowAgumon. Nicholas would then just shout and say, "If you guys don't mind I'll go and help the guy under the rubble! If you want to help then just help but as much as possible please keep the KnightChessmon distracted!". Nicholas would then run over to where the debris were and began to take away the smaller debris first since he knew that it would be too difficult to take away the much larger ones so the smartest choice until someone else came to help was to remove the smaller debris that he could carry on his own.

Blitz would follow his tamer's orders and dashed straight at the KnightChessmon Black which had a Strabimon on it. He then threw his sword as if it was a boomerang. The sword hit the KnightChessmon Black and t flung back at Blitz who then grabbed it before delivering an upwards vertical slash at the KnightChessmon Black. Blitz then shouted, "Zankantō Raikō Giri!". He then ended it with a swift horizontal slash that was nearly invisible to the human eye. The KnightChessmon Black would turn into data after that and the Strabimon would drop down in which Blitz would glare at the Strabimon and raised its arm so the sword would point at the Strabimon before he said, "You ask why we resist authority? Then let me ask you why did you attack us first? If you wanted us to go peacefully maybe you should have tried a peaceful approach rather than go immediately and attack us! We retaliated because we have to protect ourselves! If not then we would die without trying! Now engarde!". The Veemon would then deliver a vertical slash at the Strabimon cutting its chest but not destroying it yet.

The suddenness of the explosions caught Kazu off-guard. He spun on his heel only to watch rubble come slamming down on top of Marcus. The world stood still for a moment. Colour drained from Kazu's face, his heart began to beat faster. Sweat began to roll down his forehead. "No..." the SnowAgumon launched itself at the enemy, her axe tearing through the opposition, Veemon watched her go and desperately looked to Kazu for some kind of instruction. "NO!" Kazu snapped out of his stupor in a second, rage burning in his eyes. "Veemon, slow the buggers down! Nick help with the debris! Dawn, finish off these bastards!"

Veemon would nod and launch itself towards the remaining KnightChessmon. He vaulted over the top of Blitz, his hands glowing with a gold light. "Victory Punch!" Veemon would leap at the final centaur and loose both his fists one after another. Upon impact a Burning V would erupt across the Digimon's chest. "Not enough for ya?" Veemon would jump up and grab the more humanoid shoulders of the foe. "Vee-Headbutt!" Using the shoulders as an anchor Veemon would smash his head into his opponent, "And again you Digital scumbag!" The second hit from Veemon's skull would be just as vicious as the first, crunching into the helmet. Veemon would back off after the hit, panting as he did so. "Dracomon! Finish him!"

As Veemon had began his attack, Kazu had sprinted over to Liger. Nick was already there moving the smaller debris from Marcus' body. Kazu dropped to his knees, sliding up to the unconcious man, as soon as he was close he reached for Marcus' neck, checking for a pulse, his other hand moving close to his mouth to check breathing. "C'mon... C'mon..." A wave of relief hit him as he felt a pulse and weak breathing. Sparing not one moment, Kazu started grabbing rocks and flinging them out of the way. Nick had done a good job and between them they'd dealt with all the main pieces of debris fairly quickly. Only one big rock remained, "Nick! Grab the other side!" Kazu would position himself ready to lift the other side of the debris when Nick did. "Once he's out I'll carry him! We're so bloody close..." Kazu would look into the motionless face of his rival and grunted "C'mon! You're stronger then this! You're supposed to be the wise-cracking bad-a** of the group. Damn..."

Dawn looked up from his cover. He noticed that one of his fellow takers had been caught under dome debris." Dammit." Dawn said under his breathe. He stood up in rage.
