Cy lay curled into Boris’ side her head resting on his shoulder as her mind drifted over the recent events. The drama with Boris, the havoc it had caused with him leaving and then returning. How Sarin had gone out of her way to bring them all back together, how Ruger had almost been lost. How it had taken her sometime to forgive Boris and even longer for her to tell him how she truly felt. At this thought she tucked her nose further in against him, the male seemingly sleeping on oblivious to his wife’s ponderings. She gave a light little smile as her mind drifted to happier thoughts, Sarin finding a mate in Fluff and Ruger taking to Hazlin. She was admittedly a touch concerned about Glaive and her choice of companion but what room did she honestly have to talk? The one she was with was extremely dangerous… or he could be to some. She stifled a little giggle at that, for he was not at all scary or intimidating to her or most of his family. Glaive honestly had him wrapped around her little ringed pinky. Cy smiled as her mind drifted onto the most recent event in the Airay family.

Sarin had given birth to two wonderful little angels. Sweet faced cherubs that were such a blessing to have in the family, even if that did make her a grandmother now. Boris didn’t seem to be taking it as well though, flipping out as he was over being a grandfather. Cy couldn’t blame him of course, he had always been a bit high strung and high maintenance. She couldn’t help herself she burst into giggles which she tried desperately to stifle against Boris’ shoulder. There was little hope for her though, as she couldn’t seem to contain her joy which was spilling over into her amusment and making one big happy ball of pleasant emotions. They needed to celebrate all the happy things and the fact that they were a little family once more. Her tail twitched under the blanket before she came to a pleasant conclusion, Wonderland, they would go to Boris’ old home and visit that charming little Amusement park that had been a cinching factor in her’s and Boris’ relationship.

“Boris! Up!” She poked him as she moved out of the bed in a flourish.

After several hours of fighting with her family, Boris mainly, and rounding them all up they were standing in front of Boris’ old door. She and the newest little ones looked bright and pleased whereas most the rest of the family just looked tired. It was far too early for them, even if it was mid afternoon, being cats and all that. Cy didn’t seem to notice or if she didn’t she didn’t seem to care. She snatched up Rabies and placed her on her hip. “Let’s go have some fun, what do you say?” She asked the little one in her arms.

Sarin had been given little option as she was snatched from her warm bed. Her mother had never been a patient being and she was even less so with her own family. Waiting for them to awaken was just not something she did, ever. So it was that Sarin had agreed to something that she wasn’t even sure of. Fluff had been the only one that seemed even semi coherent about what was going on and he was busy with their children. Both of which had turned out to be little trouble makers, or hellions depending on how one looked at it. This didn’t seem to bother Sarin however. She had been a destructive creature, or would have been, from the start. She had just happened to end up super lazy instead.

She stood now next to her mate, resting against his side her ears back against her head as she blinked tiredly at the world around her. She had been here once before and they memories of being here hadn’t been pleasant ones. She shoved the thoughts away as she looked at her mother who was speaking about fun. “Mother.” She started in but didn’t get a chance to finish her sentence as her mother had already started off with Rabies on her hip. Sairn gave a begrudging sigh and stretched before starting after her.

Glaive sat in the branches of the nearest tree, her tail swishing back and forth below her. This was just grand, just where she wanted to be. It wasn’t that she minded being with her family or even that she minded being here. She minded how early it was. She minded how disgustingly warm the day was turning out to be. She didn’t really have a choice though, as her mother wasn’t going to let her out of this. Plus she supposed it was a good chance to sniff around her father’s old world. This place had to have some sort of interesting deal right? Of course, because if not then her father would have been a dull creature; though she supposed he wasn’t that interesting. She gave a shrug and shook her head to dispel her thoughts. Besides it might not be so bad to hang out with the little brats her sister had produced. They weren’t that bad and each had their own little special abilities. This could prove entertaining, now if only Crimson had been here or able to come then the day just might have been worth her attention.

Septicemic glanced around her at the new world her eyes darting from one thing to the other. “Uncle soft? Where are we?” She asked in a soft tone that belied how truly maniacal she really was. Not that anyone who was just meeting her would know that, and she seemed to be just the sweetest little thing when around her uncle. It was just when one got her alone that she showed just how chaotic she could be. She was after all a Cheshire and while she wasn’t this world’s ‘Cheshire’ she still was one and would live up to that name in every way possible.

Gowland had gotten up early for this particular occasion, and was very insistent with his staff on checking everything. Every ride, every food booth, every game...Even every small garden! It had to be perfect today in particular because of whom he had invited. The entire Airay family. Well, family and friends. He wasn't going to say that Boris' lovely lady couldn't come! Or any of his children's friends! That wouldn't be fun.

And today he wasn't going to touch his violin. Nope. Not going to play any songs on it, or use it to shoot anyone. He had locked it away just for that purpose, so if someone he hated showed up....Well, he was s**t out of luck. Especially if it were a certain predominant member of the Hatter family.

Gowland made his way out to the front gates, standing proudly with his hands behind his back as he waited for the arrival of his honored guests. Truthfully, he was nervous. He had heard how the family had expanded, and his last encounter with Boris, and his son, hadn't been very...well...enjoyable. Of course, becoming a grandfather could do that....Hmm. He wouldn't quite know, having no kids of his own. Maybe he needed to start looking for a fun-loving person who could maybe, just maybe, not laugh at his first name.

((Excuse me while I draft up a text wall x.x;
Spoke to Kyai, she said she might join in later, but she will definitely read and keep up. She's still trying to figure out where her two would be at this point in time, and what they'd be like. ))

He was not getting out of bed today.
No and no.
Ignoring Cy as best he could, Boris sighed as she snuggled into him, the feline lasted about two seconds longer before wrapping his arms around her with a light growl. Nuzzling into her neck as he stubbornly refused to admit he was waking up, he could feel her shake for a moment in contained laughter. Giggling at his overtures, maybe. He smirked against her skin, thinking of a few things he'd rather do today than go back, but then his wife was caterwauling outright with her laughter and his ears folded back at the sudden and loud sound. It's like she knew what he was thinking and was shooting him down before he could even start to suggest such an invitation.

Groaning as she slipped out of his hold, the cheshire flopped onto his other side and curled up with all the sheets, tugging at them until he was hopelessly entwined. When she commanded him like he was some sort of collared dog he snorted and grabbed her pillow, pulling it over his head with a grunt.

Half an hour later he was dressed and miserable, helping his wife herd their family, which was as difficult as, well, herding cats. Shouting, threatening, and bribing his way through the morning into the early afternoon, Boris was completely exhausted even before he opened the door through Madness and to Wonderland.

Luckily they managed without mishap, and Boris let them out right at the main gate with a bit of his classic flourish. Grinning widely, now that he had a role to preform and slip back into, giving Gowland a lazy salute with his tail. In truth, Boris could feel his stomach twist as he approached the gate; pacing along his wife's side. So many things could go wrong today, but Cy had taken to the idea and once she wanted something...

A bit of realism slipped into his smile at that thought, thinking fondly on the stubborn female. At least if something were to happen he knew she'd be there with him to figure it out. There would be no mercy for anyone that might threaten their family, and Boris entertained the idea of Joker being flayed alive by Cy's raw power. The cat nearly purred as he put one hand on the small of his wife's back, while raising the other towards Mary.

”Hey, Old Man! Didn't find the man heading to St. Ives, but I did stop to gather up most of the cats and kits.”

Purposefully ignoring a formal introduction, as it would've been out of character for 'The Cheshire', Boris simply leaned his head back with an ear flick, indicating the family that followed behind him.

Ruger hadn't needed a kick to the tail to get out of bed, he actually wasn't all that sure if he'd even slept. Hunched over one of his work benches, his tail was lashed several times around his stool as he meticulously soldered some tiny detail on his current project. His nose was crinkled in concentration and he only breathed when he pulled his hands away. Which was exactly when a loud clap from behind him made his whole body jolt. Spinning around to see who had invaded, he misjudged his inertia and sent himself flailing to the floor; the stool tumbling with as his tail still kept hold of its legs.

Muttering darkly as he glared up at his father, Ruger unwound himself and righted the stool before accepting the hand Boris was offering and lifted up off the floor. Dusting himself while the older cat sighed, Ruger finally relented and spoke first.

”To what do I owe the pleasure of your interruption, dad?”

He could see Boris try to hide a wince as his father's ears flicked. Ruger tried to tamp down the hurt of knowing he was seen as something of a disappointment, his speech something that always seemed to get a negative reaction from Boris. It wasn't like he was trying to be pompous, he just needed to feel in absolute control. Control over his words, over his life, over his odd abilities through the Airay bloodline. There were still the nightmares where he wandered into Madness and never came back out again...

Not that he felt comfortable telling his old man that. He didn't want to let the lackadaisical cheshire down any further. He watched as Boris ran a hand through his hair with another sigh, clearly not knowing how to bridge the gap with his son. Ruger waited patiently for him to spit it out.

”Look, the whole family, well... most of the family, we're going to Wonderland. Remember Gowland and his offer to-”

It was Ruger's turn to sigh as he leaned against the work bench, crossing his arms while shaking his head.

”Yes, I do recall the encounter, and the offer; but Hazlin isn't back yet and I really don't think my attendance is required if it's just-”

”Just your family.”

Boris finished coldly, silently reprimanding his son for the perceived slight. Ruger grimaced, he'd meant a walking, talking bunch of drama... but that was his family, now wasn't it? He opened his mouth to apologize, but Boris cut him off.

”Your mother wants you with us.”

Ruger looked down as his dad took a step closer, not wanting to see that the barb had stung a little. Your mother... clearly excluded Boris himself, and made it clear without having to be said that his dad didn't care about whether or not his son was there. He kept his glance firmly planted on the floor as he muttered.

”Oh.”

He didn't look up as his dad seemed to deflate, missed the sadness in the older cat's face as he turned around and left, confident that Ruger would follow. The younger feline took only a few minutes, putting away his project and cleaning up, before grabbing his boa and heading out to join the rest of his family.

Which happily included the two newest additions. Smiling down at young Septicemic as he stepped out of the doorway behind the kit, Ruger didn't answer right away as he was busy shutting the door; having been the last out since he'd stayed back through Madness to make sure no one got lost. Never again. Turning his attention fully to his young niece and grinning at the nickname, Ruger opted to take her hand rather than pick her up, more inclined to treat her like a small adult rather than a baby.

”It's called Wonderland, and it's where your Grandpa first lived a long time ago.”

There was a bit of an odd feeling at calling his own dad 'Grandpa', and Ruger made sure to keep his voice down so Boris wouldn't hear the title himself. There were some buttons that just weren't optimal to push.

Rabies woke with a lazy yawn and an even lazier stretch as her grandmother swept through the house, lifting the slumber from her family’s minds. She wasn’t particularly polite about it, but then, if she had been, she likely wouldn’t have gotten farther than a few groggy complaints and rebellious feigned snores before everyone had slipped back into their own version of dreamland.

She could hear her father and mother somewhere among the crowd of angries and annoyeds, and wrinkled her nose as she tiptoed away from her sister and down the hall to find them. And where Rabies Airay went, mischief followed like a loyal lapdog, and so it took little time for an otherwise somewhat, maybe, potentially peaceful morning to dissolve into a game of evaporate daddy’s various body parts.

It was Sarin, in the end, that had managed to get her daughter to act right and return Fluff’s legs and ears to their correct place, before she was being snatched up by Cy with the promise of fun held over her head. Maturing claws bit into Cyanide’s shirt as Rabies twisted her hands around, and a smile so impish the Cheshire himself would have been proud sprang to her face as she nodded. “Promise?” She asked, grinning before the world around her seemed to twist and she was being spit out in a whole other realm. Spiraling twin pigtails flounced about as she looked around, her eyes adjusting easily to the new light and sleek, pink ears twitched at all the new, inviting sounds. “Where are we?” She whispered as she tugged at her grandmother’s shirt, feline eyes alight with interest as her tail flicked about behind her. Even unsure of where ‘here’ was, without a shadow of a doubt she was sure she never wished to leave this place. Something about the essence of it all made her ridiculously comfortable.

The sound of her grandfather’s voice pulled her attention and she looked up on instinct, being the curious cat she was. Boris was waving at a crazy looking man with a crazy braid and even crazier shirt. She wondered at it, staring rudely but not with any sort of ill intent toward it. Glancing at Boris, she mimicked his wave and used her tail to flick at the piercings that dangled off his own. “You know him?” She asked incredulously, like somehow her grandpa (though she would never use such a term when speaking to him) couldn’t possibly know someone that new and interesting.

Fluff woke with the sun, unlike most of the felines he lived with despite how backwards it all was. In his earlier days of staying with Cy and Boris, back when Sarin was just a kit and he spent his mornings running around the house hoping desperately she hadn’t vanished and slipped into some other dimension, usually finding her hours later curled up asleep on top of the roof, which gave him his own personal little form of heart failure. It was in these days that he began to get back into the habit of watching the sunrise and paint the sky, and it was mornings like these that he was thankful for all of that practice. However, since Glaive and Ruger had matured and no longer needed his immediate super vision, though there were days he stilled warred with himself over that, he had fallen out of practice with hunting all the little kits down and making them act as though they had a lick of sense before their parents got wind of it all.

And this morning it was all glaringly apparent, because it seemed he didn’t have the same hold over his own children that he had with Cyanide and Boris’s, and by the time Sarin had swooped in to play super hero, he was too exhausted to do much in the way of punish her. He debated with himself for a moment not allowing her to go on this trip to Wonderland, but he had never been so cruel and of course could not bring himself to do it.

Instead he wrapped his arms around Sarin as she leaned against him, and his hand found her hair with the ease of a child taking to its mother’s embrace. He rubbed the base of her ears with gentle fingers, and kissed the top of her head with lips that were never more tender than when they were touching her own. A smile so wide it perhaps could have encompassed the world spread across his face and leapt into his eyes, erasing the dark circles that had been colored in by the morning and all of its lovely obstacles. This was the reason he lived, and he found it only in the love for Sarin and their children. He was never more happy than when he was surrounded by them, even if they were threatening to turn him gray at such a young age.

Wonderland, as an actual place that existed, was a new concept to him, and knowing what to expect from a place like that became about as difficult a task as deciphering how on earth a raven was like a writing desk. And so, when the time came to step through, Fluff was following blindly but showed no amount of hesitation, mainly because there was none. He was ridiculously curious to see where Boris hailed from, and that alone snuffed out any pause he might have given.

His tail swished around behind him, twining with Sarin’s as the wind tussled with his hair, throwing it about. A soft rustle of leaves from above caught his ear, and he knew without having to glance up that no breeze could cause a jostling to a tree like that of Glaive. As silent as she was, Fluff had been attuned to that cat and all her signature sounds since her birth. “Bored already are you?” He asked softly, wondering what it would take today to keep her interest. Lately Crimson had picked up that job, but it seemed that little assassin was MIA at the moment, and that would bode ill will for Wonderland. Because they simply had not known chaos until they had a restless, well-armed Glaive on their hands.

Cy bounced Rabies’ slightly before nodding. “Yes I promise there will be all sorts of fun things to do. You needn’t worry.” She said softly before turning to wave at the man that was approaching her tail moving to twist around Boris’ and play with the charm at the end of it. “Hello.” She said politely waiting for the male to approach completely before she inclined her head. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She smiled brightly looking over at Boris waiting for some sort of… something. She knew better than to hold her breath. There was little chance that he was actually going to give out a formal introduction but he could have at least given out a name! She hung her head slightly and sighed.

“Yes your… yes.” She stated carefully avoiding the word grandfather at this point. While she wasn’t taking the fact that she was a grandmother hard, Boris was. She knew he was a peppy little thing but she also knew that this was very honestly hard for him. It had taken him a bit to get use to the idea of family, she remembered. She remembered the long talks and the fights, oh god the fights that would end with them in a fist fight. She wasn’t really sure how they had managed to come this far, without one of them being dead. A small warm smile crossed her features and she leaned over to kiss Boris on the cheek really quickly for no apparent reason before she went back to looking at those gathered.

“Since my love doesn’t seem inclined to do it. I’m Cy, or Cyanide if you prefer. This is Rabies.” She bounced the baby in her arms. “Behind me is Ruger, Sarin, Speticemic, Fluff, and Glaive.” She said with a slight motion towards each of the ones mentioned.

Sarin gave an incline of her head as she was introduced, waiting for her mother to finish before she spoke out. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for having us. My brother mentioned that he and father had met you.” She said softly as she held out her hand. She gave a yawn as she did so and had to lift the other to stifle it. She was so very tired and really just wanted to go back to bed. She wasn’t sure how she was ever going to completely recover from this pregnancy thing. She was just positive it was impossible; her mother must be some sort of goddess. For she was sure that she herself was never going to be able to get out of bed without feeling completely drained again.

It never occurred to her of course that she wasn’t known for getting out of bed ever anyway.

Glaive’s tail flicked giving off some chiming sounds as she watched the male approach. He was clad in the most god awful of yellow outfits and his hair was… just everywhere. She could do little more than snicker at the man as he approached and spoke with her parents. All she did was lift a hand when her name was called, like this was school or something. She was about to sneak off when Fluff speaking to her caught her attention. Damn that butler, she would never know how he did it. He always knew when she was around, where she was. She was just positive he had implanted some sort of tracking device in her when she was younger.

It honestly wouldn’t have surprised her; after all he was evil like that. There was no way he was a good guy, he was with Sairn after all and that mean something was just not right in his head. Though that should have been obvious considering he had agreed to be a nanny to this family; one just couldn’t call themselves sane if they were a part of this family in any shape or form.

“Perhaps I am, what does it matter? Even if I was bored there is little I could do about it. Mother would have my head if I ran off and started causing trouble in daddy’s home world.” She stated dropping out of the tree without a sound and moving to stand next to Fluff her tail twitching in mild agitation. “I don’t see why it even matters, if dad came from here then the world has to be batshit crazy as it is.” She commented with a yawn.

“Mind your manners Glaive.” Cy’s voice broke through to snap at her.

“Yeah, yeah mom. I was just saying.” Glaive stated waving a hand.

Septicemic looked up at Ruger as he slid his hand into hers. She would let it go this time. She wasn’t sure why he insisted on never picking her up but it seemed like uncle soft had a bad habit of not doing so. She would of course have to have a talk with him about it later but for right now she could let it slide. This was supposed to be about fun at least that was what her daddy had told her. So she would make sure Uncle Soft had lots of fun. She had to make sure of this, because there was just something about him. He always seemed to be unhappy, like there was always a sadness on his shoulders. At least that is what she felt, she was a child what could she know? She shrugged her shoulders and clung to her uncle’s hand.

“Wonderland? Does that mean it’s filled with wonder? Or wonderful things?” She asked as she looked around before looking back up at her uncle. “If so where are they? And did you ever live here? Or was it always only Grandpa Boris?” She asked, always the curious little creature. “And who is that man with the bright yellow outfit? Does he know Grandma and Grandpa?“ She paused in her questions for a long moment before something seemed to strike her. “OH! Is he our toast?” She asked in bright curiousness.

Sarin turned to look at her daughter at that. "No dear, we aren't going to eat him." Sarin stated turning back to Mary.

"..." Septicemic looked at her mother for a long moment before turning back to her uncle for clarification. "Eat him?"

Gowland gave a slight nod in recognition of the large group, taking a few steps towards Boris and his wife. He obviously seemed to brighten up, recognizing Ruger from their earlier conversation, but....Oh! He turned his attentions to the two smaller members of the group, obviously excited to meet the youngest members of the Airay family, the ones that had caused his friend the utmost distress. He gave a slight smirk, stopping closer to the lot of them. "You weren't kidding when you said that you had a big family! And this must be your wife? Oh I've heard so much about you. It's really a pleasure." He gave a bow, then straightened back up. "I've met Ruger before, but I might have a bit of trouble with names for the rest of you all....." He mumbled, scratching the back of his head. His ears folded back the slightest, though perked back up.

"Oh where are my manners! Probably locked up with all the violins...." He made sure to mention it, just so Boris would know he wasn't going to, well, maim any of his family. "The name's Gowland. JUST Gowland. Don't let any other tall men in white suits tell you otherwise." Oh yes, he was well aware that the Hatter family might have gotten wind of this little gathering, and he wasn't too happy about it. He wasn't the strongest at fist fights....Especially a fistfight between him an a gun. "Anything and everything is open to you all in the park today. My treat. And I'm afraid I haven't quite started on that new concept that we talked about earlier, Ruger. I wouldn't mind if I got some help on it though!" Cheer the boy up! He looked so....depressed. Slightly less so with the little one by his side, but still! "And yes that means all you can eat cotton candy and sweets, especially since I got new flavors in today! Who likes cherries?" He had a mad grin on his face, obviously enjoying having guests.
