Sarabi made an effort to get up before the cubs this morning. She wanted some time to herself and Sama. The sun was starting to rise and she was extremely exciting to be spending some time with Sama to talk before they started to decide to head home or not. She knew that she was going to be choosing to go home next. she loved her pride and she honestly was missing it, but it was still a journey and then of course there was the question of trying to figure out what tehy were going to do. She figured that was going to be a good start. Suddenly they were parents and they haven't completely come up with a idea of what she was going to do.

"Sama?" She called loudly enough for him to hear her. "You coming out here?" She asked him curously wondering when he was coming out this way.

The night was a scary and dreadful place and when the light of the morning sun rose Hidaya couldn't have been happier. She had been on her own for a couple of days now and she was growing increasingly hungry. She had no idea where she was or what had happened to her mom and siblings. Somehow she had lost them and she still couldn't seem to find them. She never gave up calling though.

At night however she did everything she could to hide and make sure nothing bigger than her found her. She could easily be eaten by any monster and she didn't want to be eaten. Now that the sun was rising she felt bold enough to try calling out a few times. She looked about a couple of times to see if she seen any monsters who could eat her and then she chirped as loud as she could. She had no clue if her mother was around but after she called she waited and listened for the familiar voice of her mother to hopefully call back.

"Shhhhh!" Samawati replied with a kind of urgency that bordered on panic as he removed himself from the two little cubs' side and made his way to his mate. For someone who had been around cubs since... well, ever, this was still a new experience for the golden lion. After all, there was a difference between being Uncle Samawati and a daddy. No matter of much he cared for Rei's cubs, it was a strange feeling to be suddenly responsible for two little lives that depended on him and Sarabi. Add the dangerous nature of the Rogue lands and Samawati's protective instincts were at their peak.

"They're still sleeping." he added apologetically, looking over his shoulder at the tiny sleeping shapes. He had the urge to pick them up and run for the safety of the Pridelands as soon as they were awake. At least they were only two so they could be carried easily by the two adults. His ears, now very sensitive to calls of young little lions, twitched a few times. "Did you hear something?"

Sarabi's attention turned from the landscape in front of her to the lion that was coming her way. The lion that she called her mate and the lion that she was not calling her mate. AND the lion that was now the father of their.... "children" suddenly she felt like everything had changed and she couldn't help but to think about how interesting she felt this was going to turn out to be. what a new life that had for themselves now. She couldn't do anything about it at this point, but she didn't think she wanted to do anything. They had two cute cubs and there wasn't anything that she would change now.

She looked toward Sama and a smile grew on her face. "Good we have some time to ourselves then." She said chuckling a little her head moving toward his side before nuzzling his face. "Hear something?" She repeated not sure of what he was talking about. Maybe she did hear something but she wasn't that sure. Her ear flicked around before she turned toward him again. "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about dear." she said a smile still bright on her face.

Hidaya listened for a long time but she did not hear anyone call back to her. She was becoming disheartened and starting to believe her mother would never find her. Her ears fell back against her head and she lowered her head down in a sad pose. She was so hungry that hope for anything was being eaten away by it. She just knew she would die alone hiding in the tall grass.

Thinking about her death she began to cry sad little tears. As she cried she didn't care at all who heard and gave out a mournful little cry that was even louder than her calls to her mother. Her voice reached a pitch that she rarely ever used as she cried in her sad and pitiful way.

Samawati chuckled, nuzzling his mate back until he froze abruptly. The sad little cry had become louder and more distinct and the golden lion waited only a brief moment before he started following the sound at a quick pace.

“Okay, now I’m sure I heard something.” He told Sarabi though he was certain she was hearing it as well. He was moving through the bushes, trying to spot shapes and color that might seem out of place. He could almost swear those cries belonged to cub even though he couldn’t really tell the species yet. “Hey, is anyone here? Where are you?”

Sarabi turned to the lioness and then lifted an eye brow. She heard something too but what was it. It was an odd sound. She looked at him and then nodded. "Yeah it sounds like there is something out there." She said simply as she thought about the idea. She really wasn't expecting some one to be there at all. She looked at the lion and then started to wander to the sounds that she was hearing not sure of what else to say. She stood up and gave him a glance before she started to wander toward the sound that she was hearing. Her tail flicking around behind her as she did.

"Hello?" She called quietly as she pushed her way through the bushes, she thought that she was getting closer to the sound and hopefully she was going to stumble across something.

Over Hidaya's cries she couldn't hear a thing. She had no idea there were others calling out nd coming closer. She was mid-cry when a lioness appeared suddenly out of the bushes and nearly stepped on her.

She switched from a cry to a scream when she saw the lionesses paw coming towards her. She dashed out of the way before she got stepped on and cried out as she moved. "Please don't eat me!"

Samawati wasn't one to show his emotions. Not that he was particularly good at hiding them but the yellow lion had simply hardened ever since the death of his twin. But now, after meeting Sarabi and starting this little adventure, the young Scout was finding himself surrounded by a multitude of scenarios that he'd never dreamed possible, pushing his mind to the limit once again. Like now. What was going on in the rogue lands that they seemed to stumble upon lone cubs at every turn?!

"Shhh-shh. It's okay, little one. No one is going to hurt you." he lowered his body to the ground slowly, doing his best impression of a friendly yellow boulder. He would leave most of the comforting for Sarabi, thinking the cub might react better to a female voice. That and the fact that Sarabi was remarkably good with the two boys they had adopted were the thoughts on Samawati’s mind as he remained quiet on the same spot as he waited for his mate to step forward.

Sarabi looked at the male not exactly sure of what to do. Or for that matter not completely sure of what to do. The lioness was upset. But then again at the same time she knew it was obvious. She just didn't really understand why the cub thought that she was going to eat her. She didn't understand at all. She just wanted to cuddle with the cub and she was thinking that is what she was going to do. "Don't worry little cub!" She said slowly moving through the bushes, she didn't want to startle the little cub. "We aren't going to eat you, I promise."

She saw the little cub, she was such a cute little cub too. She didn't understand why the cub was out here by herself no one else was there to watch her. It made her so upset, she hated seeing cubs by themselves, it always made her really upset when that happened. It made her heart sad but at the same time she was hoping that everything was going to be okay. she was hoping that not only that happened bu maybe they could help the little cub.

She had been completely tense just waiting for the lioness to grab her but she hadn't and on top of that another bigger male lion had appeared too. She looked between both of them as they tried to calm her with their gentle words. She slowly relaxed as she realized they weren't going to try and hurt her. A hopeful expression moved across her face and she perked her ears up as she looked at them both.

"Have you seen my mother?" She asked thinking it was always possible. "Her fur kinda looks like yours. The red color part and she has the same stripes and spots I do." She was so hopeful that this pair might have seen her that she was staring at them unblinking and holding her breath after she had finished talking. They were much bigger than her so they could have seen her wandering around looking for her.

“We haven’t seen anyone like that. I’m sorry.” Samawati replied softly, relieved that the cub seemed to be opening up and asking them questions as he glanced sideways at Sarabi. They hadn’t seen a soul for a while nor had they heard any calls from a worried mother – and those could carry for great distances. Samawati found it unlikely that they’d be able to find the cub’s family but he didn’t say it aloud as he realized that this little girl much like Ghubari also seemed to be hoping she'd see her mother again.

What a strange place this was where a cub wandering off and getting lost seemed to be a common occurrence. What would’ve happened if the couple hadn’t been travelling through this area, he wondered. The cynic side of Samawati silently considered the possibility that this place was a sort of dumping ground for unwanted cubs – three lost cubs was not normal! – but he wisely decided to keep those horrible ideas to himself.

“We did find two lost boys about your age. Do you want to meet them? They’re sleeping in the den over there.” Samawati nodded towards the den where the male cubs were sleeping peacefully. “You’ll be warm and safe there and we’ll find something for you to eat.”

Sarabi's tail flicked around behind her. She wasn't that sure of what to say honestly. Did they really find another cub that was without a mother? She really was completely surprised at that idea. She was not expecting at all for them to be wandering again and then running into yet another cub that seemed not to know where their parents were. It honestly drove her nuts. She could understand how some one could loose track of a cub but at the same time she knew that she would keep track of her cubs probably better than anything else she ever has in her life.

She looked at her mate pretty surprised that her made was already offering to take the cub. she didn't even have to ask. The more the merrier she was guessing. A small smile grew on her lips and she looked at him and nodded. "Yes, little one, we'll be more than happy to welcome you here." She said a grin growing slowly on her face as she spoke She was very excited to do it, she leaned closer to her mate and smiled a the cub. "Come on little one you'll be safe while we look for your mother."
