Guess this will be my little DIY section. smile

Fleece
I like working with fleece, and it is some what cheep, and can be very useful. So seeing as miss jungle cat loves sleeping under and on my fleece blankets (I have like 3-4 of them) I decided to make her one for herself.

Did it up as a normal no sew fleece blanket but just made it cat size. The one I ended up getting out of it is the perfect size to fit in a small wire crate. folded up a little it could fit into one smaller.

I actually and using the rest of the fabric and buying some more to make some more kennel blankets, where some will be donated to the local shelter.

Old Cushions and Pillows
Another Idea is to take old pillows or old cushions and place them in areas that the cat love to lay. I just got two old cushions from the school and they will be put in the bottom of side tables, near our heaters to hopefully give my cat a lovely place to curl up down stairs if she wishes.

Of course I just went and ordered a thermal mat as a portable sunspot. Freyja doesnt care for things I make for her. Very rarely will she be interested. (finicky beasts) What else do you make for Ika?

I want to try and make cat n** toys from my scraps, she probably wont like them... but it doesn't hurt to try them.. since the scraps can easily just be taken to the shelter and the cats their would probably have a ball. Or I can see if Daisy (rabbit) would play with them.

Ika doesn't like her blanket she still prefers to sleep on mine... but I may start sleeping with the blanket to get my scent on it.

I make cat n** mice all the time. smile I use felt and sometimes fabric scraps. Shell play with them if I stick them to the sticky paws thats on the outside of the door and shes like "MUM!!! ITS ON THE WALL!!!!"

Assorted Toys

Shes not fond of bells but loves sparkley! I could have her fetch for hours with pipecleaners.

And that is a good idea. I have a giant microfleece blanket on my bed that if it goes missing, my kitty flips her noodle. gonk
