Kadryn was back at home practicing with her mace.
"It's so heavy! How would she be able to fly and fight while holding it? Hmm, maybe it I practice against a Ysali... cause I know I can beat them... Better not let Da catch me, since I'm not supposed to take it out of the salle yet..." So as the moon rose that night, she sneaked out try out her new weapon.
It was about midnight when she fluttered down exhausted from lugging around the extra weight of the mace.
"I need to strengthen my arms and wings..." she muttered as she rested on the branch of a tall tree.
Looking around she saw a large shadow attempting to sneak up on her.
"Practice time~" Kadryn grinned as she grasped her mace and flung herself down upon the dragon as a battle scream ripped from her grinning mouth The battle was much bloodier than Kadryn had expected. In her earlier battles the blood had only been in small localized areas where she’d managed to bite, scratch, or use her surroundings to harm the dragon. But this time she had a mace with her... a big mace with sharp spikes that tore and bashed at the dragon.
When she was done, Kadryn was shocked at how much blood there was, it covered the mace, the ground all around them, and she was drenched in it as well.
“Ah man, how am I supposed to hide this amount of blood? Ma’s going to know when she washes them…” Looking around she thought that a dip in the lake should clean up most of the blood.
"Maybe if I leave early tomorrow morning and come back with the orb while wearing these clothes they'll think I fought it in the day and won't know that I snuck out.."
