Autumn was creeping in. The days were still warm, but they were shorter, and the warmth of the day didn't last through the darkness of the night anymore. Wind rustled through the trees, plucking colored leaves from their stems and adding to the sounds and smells of the approaching fall. Though chilly, it was lovely. Navi had always loved this time of year, and just because she was now a soldier in a magical war for earth that didn't change anything.

Arms crossed across the expanse of bare skin along her stomach, the Dark Mirror Senshi of Tumbleweeds made her way down a tree lined stretch of street within inner Destiny City. She'd already done her duty to her court for the night. Both mirrorwraiths tucked within the cuff of her boot were sated. So no she was free to enjoy the night and the first signs of fall.

Well, relatively free. There were always knights to be hunted and senshi to enlighten. Pausing briefly, Navi searched the area for any hints of auras, order or chaos alike. There was something, but it was far off and hard to identify. She turned her head, staring off in the distance as if she could actually see the source. After a moment or two curiosity had her turning on a heel, heading off in the direction of the tingling sense of power resting at the edge of her metaphorical radar.

Super Sailor Aster was bored. Her normal area of patrol - the park - was pretty empty this evening. She wasn't sure if she had annoyed the Negaverse enough to drive them away or if she had successfully convinced them to abandon their ways, but she preferred to think the latter. The park being empty was nice, though. It would be the perfect time to roll up a joint, but unfortunately she had stopped bringing her pot with her on her patrols.

Something about it not being productive for what she needed to do, or something. She couldn't remember her own reasoning anymore. In retrospect it just seemed foolish to not bring it!

"Borrrrrrrred," she groaned...until a faint power signal began to approach. Was it a Negaverse agent? No...it was something different. And she needed to be on guard.

She straightened her posture and searched around, looking for whatever the source of the power signature was.

"Who's out there?" she questioned to the dark park.

As she drew closer, Navi quickly came to realize the power she wandering towards belonged to a member of the Order side. It felt like a Senshi aura, and Navi was always eager to meet the fuku clad soldiers of the White Moon. The more she met, the better her chance of convincing one of them to take a walk through a mirror to join the rightful court.

As she neared she heard the other senshi calling out, and a quick smile passed across pale pink lips before she answered back. "Sailor Navi, Senshi of Tumbleweeds." She didn't mention her affiliation with the Dark Mirror Court, as she felt it would probably be obvious by both her aura and the look of her fuku.

The girl she came to face was a pretty thing, and Navi took a moment to look the other girl over, lingering on that long hair before snapping up to meet blue eyes. "And you might be?"

"Super Sailor Aster, Senshi of Sunflowers," she said defensively to the Dark Mirror Senshi. She hadn't met many of this kind, but she had learned plenty about them. "I don't want to fight you, but I will defend myself if you try something."

Truthfully, she didn't want to do anything with her. But really, there was so much she wanted to say to her. So much that she couldn't just bite her tongue and keep it all in, the words came pouring out.

"Don't you understand you are the wrong side of this war?" she questioned. "I don't understand you Senshi, how can you justify the things you do? You're a Senshi! And you're helping the Negaverse. I don't know if you are a part of them or just work with them - but they are the Negaverse! And you guys aren't even much better. You're hurting people! I mean, what is wrong with your people?"

Okay, just a small explosion of words. She crossed her arms and huffed grumpily.

Oh good, the flower didn't want to fight. That was a plus, seeing that Navi generally wasn't looking for a fight when she came across order aligned senshi.

She was about to introduce herself when Aster seemed to burst and a whole mess of word vomit came spewing out of that pretty little mouth in Navi's direction. Great, just what she needed, a preachy senshi trying to enlighten her to the ere of her ways. It was enough to have Navi rolling her eyes, and the whatever smile she'd had on her face slipped away as she crossed her arms over her chest.

She waited until Aster had said her fill, all the while regarding the other girl with an incredulous expression. "Are you finished?" A little rude, maybe, but after that rant she felt she had a right to be blunt. "First of all, if you're going to try to tell me I'm wrong, you should at least know what you're talking about." Honestly, The DMC was getting really sick of people assuming they knew anything about the DMC that wasn't speculation and rumor.

"You don't know what I do," she continued, advancing a few steps so che could poke a finger at the other girl. "You have no idea how I operate, or what my goals are." Another poke. "And you just said yourself you don't know anything about our relationship with the negaverse."

Her voice was raising, but she was upset. How many times now had she been accused of being some terrible monster? "The only people I've ever hurt were a** holes and thugs that were preying on innocent people." Not every member of the DMC had as high a moral compass, but a few did at least. "And I don't come at you people with guns blazing, looking to hurt you, but you can't say the same for a good number of your own ranks."

"I don't identify with all of the White Moon Senshi," Aster retorted. "All I want from all of this is some peace so innocent people can stop being hurt...but you say want the same." She paused. "But you don't help the Senshi. You don't fight against the Negaverse. Regardless of whether or not you work with them, you don't, like, fight them. You just let them be evil."

She frowned as she started to pace. "So then like, what the hell do you do? How can you justify yourself?"

She took a few steps forward, her facial expressions becoming cartoonishly exaggerated with each word. "HUH? HOW? HUH? CAN YOU? CAN YOUUUU?"

Pale lips pursed, and thin brows contracted down over the bridge of her nose as Aster continued to carry on. "Again, you don't know enough about what you're talking about." Like so many of the White Moon, they didn't have fact to go off from. They had here-say, rumors, and a jumble of orders coming from a fractured leadership that was missing the key component of an actual leader.

"I don't go around hunting Negaverse or Youma, but that doesn't mean I'm not trying to help the Senshi of the White Moon." Not that they all saw it as help. At least not yet. She was still hopeful that they could convince some of them to come over to the Dark Mirror Court, and once they had managed that, it only seemed logical that they'd have an easier time of it after that. They'd have those Senshi already having crossed over, and they'd do well to drive the point home.

"Our court has a leader, and a purpose, and a mutual goal we're all working towards." Her eyes narrowed. "That's how I justify myself."

"That's not justification for the things you do," she insisted with a frown. She crossed her arms, skeptical of the Dark Mirror Senshi's words. They sounded logical to an extent, but only if there was ignorance regarding their actions. "I've seen your kind attack, murder Senshi and Knights. I've seen your kind drain energy from the helpless people in the city. You might have a leader, goal and purpose, but they're all evil and the actions you take are like, just as evil."

"If not you yourself, then like, definitely people you work with, and I bet they think they are just as justified," she pouted. "Don't you know that there are other options? If you don't want to hurt people, you don't have to. There's a way to end this war without violence."

"I fighting for what I believe in is justification for the things I do," she countered, mirroring the other senshi with her arms crossed under her chest. "And I've seen plenty of Order aligned Senshi and Knights doing unspeakable things, so it's not as if the issue is so very black and white." Her voice was beginning to rise. She was getting defensive. "So many among you would rather attack first and ask questions later," she continued, unfolding her arms to poke at the other girl's chest. "You're all hypocrites."

This conversation was getting them nowhere. It had become clear within the first minute that Navi had come across a person so steadfast in their opinion that any thing she had to say to defend her court would have no effect. "Maybe you're the exception, but it's not just chaos that turns automatically to violence, just as it's not just Order that seeks the more peaceful route."

She huffed, bristling at having been called evil once again. "It's very clear that your opinion isn't going to change, so if we're not going to battle this out physically I think I'm wasting my time with this conversation."

Aster backed away with a gasp as the girl poked her in the chest. How rude!

"Maybe so," she spat back with anger. How could she not see the reality? How could she not see the harmful lengths that the Dark Mirror Court and the Negaverse go to in this war? Sure, some of the Senshi and Knights on her side were violent - but she never heard of them attacking an innocent or a civilian, unlike their enemies. She was angry and disappointed as she turned away from the dark Senshi.

"I'll let you go. Don't make me regret it," she warned, back still turned before leaping off into the night to make a quick escape from the heated argument.
