Frost was not much a party boil. Oh he knew about parties, but when he heard that some reapers were going to throw down a part downtown he’d been hesitant to go. It sounded more Enzo’s thing. Well, it just sounded more like a thing for people who liked to party… And Frost’s parties were a bit more reserved. Still he was going. His kimono pants and half top, it was by far one of the most casual outfit he’s worn. It was also not very hip or cool. A reason why he was going to the party, figure out what was.

He still had a ways to go, but- A sniff. Fire and dog? He followed the scent, curious. It didn’t smell like student, but- Ah. A ghoul with a burning hound by her side, the wolfos felt a bit rude, trailing after her familiar like that. Canine habit. She looked to be waiting in line for- ah.

So that was where the party was. Stepping behind her he smiled. “Are you going as well then?”

Verusha was looking forward to this party, that much was true. Being new to the school, she didn't really know anyone, and what better place to meet her peers than at a leisurely, fun-going event?

Unfortunately she'd been a little late in getting there. Got caught up listening to some jams back in her room, that time just slipped by! Thankfully Cannon had given her a good warning, making her comb her mohawk a little, and double check her make-up. There was the possibility of meeting some cute boils, after all! Thus, here she stood, with her companion at her side. Arms crossed, Verusha tapped her fingers to the beat of the music that was bumping from inside the building, the bass vibrating. A grin was spread on the ghoul's face, excitement already stirring inside her, white eyes giving a look to the line in front of her. Cannon was standing stoically, glowing eyes sharp, and intense as he stared ahead, flames licking off of his body fluidly. But his ears twitched and his head snapped to the side as he picked up on Frost's approach, growling low as the boil approached. This, of course, made the reaper turn around to see what was up, staring right at the ghost, his question soon following.

Well, well. Not bad on the eyes. She gave him a once over before turning around, grinning a little more, "Looks that way." she replied casually, hip popping to one side, as Cannon took to sniffing at the boil, but remained protectively close to his partners side, "You ever been to one of these?" Maybe she could find out what kinda stuff these party's had by possible veterans of the school.

The growl got a look of contempt. Demon familiar or not, frost was not the one made into a reaper’s bi- Okay that was rude, even for him. Ears remained upright and his tail held steady. He was not going to be intimidated by a dog familiar. The sniffing did get a small growl. He would only be a threat if he was being threatened. But he was not about to take kindly to getting the 3rd degree by scent.

“Not really. I tend to avoid loud places, but I brought some ear plugs to help muffle the sound. But, I want to try and get out more. Staying indoors all the time or working out is not about to help me meet new people. Plus ah-“ He held up a coat sleeve. “I don’t dress like most. Coming to see what people normally wear to this sort of thing. Parties here are different than the ones where I am from.”

The thrum of music was steady, and line moved closer. “Any you? You go to these a lot? Oh pardon.” He shook his head at himself. “Frost in the Storm. I’m over from Amityville. Nice to meet you.”

Just like Frost, Cannon didn't falter, keeping a slightly hostile demeanor, until his reaper lowered a hand to stroke along his smooth head. The dog lessened his growl, and went silent... but the intensity in his eyes didn't veer. He still wasn't too sure how he felt about this place... and all these new folk...

"Don't mind him." she spoke to the other student, grinning and giving another pat to her pooches head, fingers curling to scritch affectionately at the base of one of his triangular ears. Her attention was focused on Frost though, casual expression remaining, chuckling lightly at his explination, "Ear plugs, huh? Well I guess that would make sense, since you've got much more sensitive ears than most, huh?" her gaze flickered up to the fluffy things, before returning back to the wolf's eyes... though she did wonder how he'd take to getting a nice rub behind those ears of his too... if he'd react like Cannon sometimes did. The thought made her smile a little more with amusement. Once the sleeve was shown, the rest of his get up was observed, smirking with a raise of a brow, "I'd say. Where'd you get that get up, anyway?" stepping forward, she reached out to gently pinch said sleeve, tugging it just a little to see how the fabric reacted. Smoothing it between her fingers, she decided it was pretty interesting looking... even if it wasn't really "in". "Well if a make over is what you need, you've come to the right place... and the right ghoul." she winked playfully. Heck, the guy could have just come to her! But this would definitely be an entertaining experience to witness. "Just where are you from then? Some old school village, 'er somethin'?"

Glancing back to the line as it shifted up, following it up, letting go of Frost's sleeve, she wore a slightly smug expression, "I sure have. Gone to quite a few, back home." And boy were they wild! With the introduction given, she casually turned back around, hands resting onto her hips, one hand jutting out for a handshake, "Well it's nice to meet you, Frost in the Storm~ You can call me Verusha. Or V, if ya like." Glancing towards where the school was located, her smile curled a bit more, "From over there, huh? Just got accepted into that joint only a few days ago. Guess you could say I'm freshmeat."

Dog glares, oh he was shaking in his shoes. “Hm, it’s alright. Probably a bit because I’m canine. We have our quirks. Familiar, student, minipet. Rather common… qualities.” If she had reached for his ears he’d not have stopped her. Frost has learned that some ghouls, (and boils), were just like that. Plus, why deny what was enjoyable. He really never understood the denial of one’s nature some did. Enjoying ear scratches was nothing to be ashamed about. “Well, it’s more from the area I come from. It’s a small tribe or clan, depending on what you consider small, but, I am the successor and since we’re so isolated, I sought to broaden my understanding of our world. Enrolling to the school would better my education while improving my powers. It was a simple thing, but it allows me a bit of freedom in understanding the varying cultures of Halloween, not just the ones near my people.”

Practical reasons really. At the notion that the ghoul might help him, the wolfos perked up, tag giving a small wag. “Well, I will consider it a blessing of fate then. I was hesitant to come but, if you’re the right ghoul and this is the right place I must have right the decision.” Up ahead, some ghouls were trying to cut, flashing far more skin than Frost thought even Danny or Amphi might expose, and yet they seemed to fit the ‘type’ to go to such parties. Ghoul like that he’d been told, were boil hunters. Just best to avoid them. Shaking his head, he looked back at Verusha, taking her hand in his for a quick but firm shake. “Verusha. It’s a pleasure. And a snot then?” He smiled. “It’s a good place really. A few bumps in the road, but nothing too terrible. You’re only about as fresh meat as you make yourself really. I would just avoid the other bathroom and some of the more… aggressive students. A few extremists in the lot but they often can be the loudest.”

The music from the club began a series of low thrumming beats. “Much like a club I guess. The louder, the more people notice.”

Verusha couldn't help the amused smirk that remained intact on her face, looking between the two canines as they silently interacted. Cannon calmed a little more though with the reapers attention, ears folding back and no longer rigidly alert.

Her long lashes blinked slowly as Frost began his explanation, weight shifting to one leg, free arm bending to let a hand rest on her slightly jutted hip. Giving his outfit a once over for another time, she chuckled softly, "Tribe, huh? didn't know that people still had those. Awesome~" she gave a subtle nod of approval. Ah but.. he was a successor? Eyes narrowing into a playful expression, a brow crooked just faintly, "So you must be someone pretty important then, huh? Like some royalty, or somethin' like that?" She'd never come before royalty before... did she need to bow..? or uh, curtsy?

The boils enthusiasm was infectious! With the shake of their hands, Verusha stepped towards him, to take his arm, and turn towards the shifting line, "Heck yeah I'm the best ghoul for the job, my friend." she winked with mild jest, casually looping arms with him so they kept close, taking a look at the bouncer once they were getting closer to the door, "Just stick with me, and you'll be alright. Promise."
Cannon diligently followed, keeping right at the heels of the ghoul, glancing behind them as a few other students began to follow behind. His lips pulled back slightly, but he gave an almost inaudible deep growl to them. Verusha didn't seem to show any care though, scoffing softly as she saw the two ahead of them showing off their goodies for an easy in. Rolling her eyes, her head canted slightly. Pathetic.

"thanks for the tips, then." she chuckled, looking over to her new comrade, "Lemme ask you this now... got any charm to ya? besides your politeness 'n all that. If ya act suave you're more likely to get into joints like these." they were getting close to the doors... she could practically feel the heat oozing out from it due to all the bodies packed inside. It was very much like a club.

"Mhmmm.. Really gets the blood and heart goin'." her hips were already swaying a little to the beat, casual smile plastered along her fair features, "Gotta act cool though, k?" peeking over at him again, she eyed his chest, "Showin' off your ripped bod like that'll definitely score ya some points." her own cleavage was rather visible.

Frost shrugged. Tribes were all he knew. “We alternate terms. Fo us it’s the same thing. Others not so much. Tribe, Clan, Pack- In the end we are a unit. Small parts of one whole. As for importance… I fought to earn my title. I will need to fight for it again come winter. That is when it will be a real test. I have not seen my people in a year, and I don’t know how the ranks might have changed while I’ve been away, so, I am… preparing myself.” Red eyes flicked to the club. “My excuse for this is cultural experience.”

She was confident in herself, a trait the white wolfos could admire. The more backbone the better in most cases. He didn’t mind the arm taken, only shifting to a more proper stance for them. “Friend after such a short time?” A small chuckle escaped him as he looked at her. “Bit fast. But, I accept. And, I hope so. You’re the one with experience.”

The ghouls didn’t make it in, turned away… only to start begging people down the line to let them cut in. Which no one seemed ready to do. And from the looks of it, the doormen were keeping tabs on said ghouls. At least they would be aware should the pair sneak into the line. At the question of charm Frost blinked, stared at his a bit, one ear flicking. “You-“ He laughed a bit. “You mean act like a gentleboil? Or perhaps like I desire more than I let on? That I fit in socially to what one might expect in such venues as I’ve been told?” He shook his head. “The best judge of character comes from those we do not know. I have my dealings with politicos.” The heat of the club, along with the smell had him pause before stepping forward. The scent of bodies, of what he could only assume to be smuggled alcohol and.. smoke. A breath, he shook of the notion that it was ‘bad’.

This was a life experience as they would have it.

“If I had blood and a heart I expect it would be going just the same.” The wolfos smirked. “I am as you may have noticed-“ he touched her hand with his own, “-naturally cool. Showing off my ‘bod’ is not for points. Just what I wore. But if it will give me an edge?” His grin flashed the hint of canine fang. “I will use what I can. I prefer speech but accents to one’s appearance never could hurt.” As the line shorted, the wolfos found himself being given the once over, red eyes waiting for a reaction. The familiar got a look, but the rope was lifted. Inside, music blared, and Frost winced as he realized how loud it could indeed be. “Well, that was rather easy in the end wouldn’t you say?”

Verusha had to give him a look that showed her impressed state. "My, my... you must be quite the boil then, huh? Must be pretty strong." grinning playfully, her hand that was free lifted to give a little squeeze to his bicep to test for herself. Muscular boils were always a plus. There was approval in her subtle nod, and grin, "not bad. Been practicing here then? Sure there's plenty of strong boils you can wrestle with." heck she'd seen a few of them! just in passing, though.

Frost's speech was entertaining, and made the ghoul's grin shift once in awhile to a smile as a chuckle would quietly rise from time to time. Smart and strong. What a combo. The guy was impressive, that was clear to see. A great sense of satisfaction swept over Verusha as she saw the two chicks get the boot, snickering lightly, Cannon snorting softly in his own means of approval. "You're a funny guy, ya know that?" her white eyes shifted over to Frost, "Really live up to your name, huh? Cool like ice." Once they were inside the place, giving a little nod to the bouncer for his courtesy, Verusha's eyes lit up. The place was packed, and throbbing with energy and music! It was fantastic~

"Reminds me of home." she mused to her new companion, giving him a light tug to head for the dance floor, easily pushing through the thick sea of bodies. She found a nice spot that wasn't taken, and enough room for the both of them to fit. Cannon wasn't too happy though... and sat patiently at the edge of the crowded floor, growling or glaring at anyone who came too close to him.

"Let's see your dance moves, Frosty." the reaper teased, detaching from him to show off some of her own, hips a-movin', arms in the air, following the beat of the music.

Cool like ice. A compliment intended, he brushed away the notion of how it often could be an insult. To be cold was to be distant and harsh. A storm was wild and untamed, unpredictable, often harsh and unforgiving. Frost covered all it could find, but was quickly banished. Ill omens in his namesake, he tried to ignore the notions his people held about names. His birth was told to him as a night to hunt, a wild night, yet a night of plenty, of promise. Verusha gave more compliments than his ‘cool’ness. He’d dwell on such better things. Like how his ears were adjusting to the music, and how the heat was not as bad as he thought.

“This reminds you of your home?” Red eyes lit up with amusement. “Curious.” There was a bar, and from the looks of it, people were pouting over the lack of easy drinks. Or alcohol. His scanning didn’t last long, pulled onto the dance floor by the reaper. Her dance had him watching for a moment, transfixed. He’d forgotten that dancing here was much different than the dancing he was used to. Or the kind that was more subdued. “My moves I’m afraid might not be up to par.” Gaze went to a couple and he sneered at how the boil and ghoul were practically mating. Indecent. A look to another couple, this one much more suitable. It was a quick study and facing Verusha he smiled, trying to rock his own body in time with the music. It was nothing refined like he was used to, and he couldn’t help but laugh at himself. “Understand, I feel a bit foolish. I’m used to a more structured form. Well that and I think half the boils and ghouls here are less dancing and rather trying to rut through clothes.”

The reaper was already getting into the bumping beats, falling into the same sort of sway and motion as the rest of the crowd surrounding her; given that she wasn't grinding up on some boil. An eye peeked open to look at her newest compadre, grinning smugly, "We had party's like these back home all the time. Really gives ya a good sweat." smirking, she decided to watch Frost do his thing... yeah, this really wasn't his style. But she couldn't blame the guy! And had to give him props for giving it a shot!

She encouraged him, by mirroring his moves, and adding some spice to them, in means of demonstration, "There ya go, just let your body move to the groove~ you'll get the moves better that way." her earrings swayed and bounced with her movements. She didn't even spare many looks to the heavily contacted boils and ghouls, quite used to such sights at such gatherings. Heavy bangs were flipped to the side out of the way, as Frost stated his observation, making laughter easily spill from the ghoul's lips. Yes... that was quite accurate, "Well... can't blame 'um." she teased, stepping closer to the ghost, to place her hands on his shoulders, "I'm not really one for structure, and I don't know how well it'll do here.." her eyes gestured around to the place they were in, "But hey, can always see if it works." her grin lifted at the corner of her lips, "never danced in that fancy way, so you're gonna have to show me the ropes, Icy."

At the very least he thought, she was taking it all in good stride. "Well, my home has nothing like this, that is for sure." Watching Verusha dance there was an awkwardness as he tried to mimic the motions. They were not as fluid or natural as her own, but, they were less jerky, less random. It was a matter of matching the music. Or trying to anyway. He'd get better with practice. Still, a snort to those that were to him, being a little too intimate. "I can when there is no finesse to it." He laughed as the music picked up, ill fitting the suggestion to try what he knew. But, it was just a matter of matching the music was it not?

Relaxing a bit, a hand going top the reaper's hip while the other reached up to take a hand in his own. "The art of dance as I know it gives the illusion of passion and intimacy without vulgarity." No hip bumps and grinds from him. "If done right, you can as it was put to me 'leave your partner breathless.'" A smirk, he didn't place much into the last bit, but the first? True. Opting to keep the movements to their little corner of the dance floor, Frost tried to match the movements he'd been taught to better fit the tempo of the music, blushing as he realized he was probably rather out of place, and that he didn't explain. "Ah, go with what you feel. Push means step back, pull to come forward, a mirror for movement."

As odd as it was, he still found himself enjoying it.

thinking on it, Verusha wasn't too sure if she'd fit into the type of lifestyle that Frost was raised in. Heck, she didn't really fit into her household either! Both parents foreign with their heavy accents, and strict personality's, along with their lack for smiles and general happiness.. but she turned out to be quite the opposite! Any matter, it was at least nice to see that the boil was trying to wide his horizon's rather than stay stuck in his comfortable rut of what he was used to. She had to give him props.

White eyes drifted from one of the ghosts hands to the other as they placed accordingly, smiling lightly at the clear properness of it all. She'd never danced like this before... seen it, sure, in those movies and junk, but never thought she'd apply it to reality. Couldn't say she hated it though. The information provided made the reaper nod subtly in understanding, and smirk in amusement, "Oh yeah?" her own accent became a bit more apparent, from the usual cover up it had; since not many could understand such a dialect when it wasn't watered down. She allowed him to guide, and she did her very best to follow in the rhythm that he produced with his motions and movements of his body, the anticipation, and small cues she could pick up on from when he was to move again. She could do this! Soon enough she was totally falling into the groove of the waves. Her grin tugged a little more as the boil blushed. How cute. The hand that was on his shoulder allowed her fingers to lightly stroke along the fabric of his shirt, "you're a good teacher, you know that?" she praised, "definitely don't bore me like the lot of them do."

Frost was trying to keep up with the music, with Verusha, and most importantly, with the pattern of the dance. It was a juggling act, one which he was not quite yet used to. The pair might have gotten a few looks but nor more than others on the dance floor. Had they gathered too much attention his blush might have gotten dark enough that it wouldn’t be likely to fade. Yet such never came to be. His blush might have been present, but it was light, just hints of pale pink to accent his normally pale ghostly skin. Her compliment had him smiling, tail giving the slightest of wags. “Thank you. I do like to keep my company entertained as it were.”

Nearby, someone barked. Ears flicked in the direction for a moment before he went on. “Plus to leave a lady dissatisfied from a dance is not proper.” Another bark and the music began to fade and change. Suddenly Frost understood why the barking. A deep bass, his ears fell flat as the sudden wave of sound assaulted his senses. “Ah, forgive me.” He fumbled their movements, and blush darkened. “I suppose the bark was a warning. Something I’ll have to keep in mind.”

Truthfully, Verusha hadn't met a lot of proper young boil's in her day, thus was somewhat tickled by Frost's mannerism's and politeness. So respectful and all that chivalrous jazz. She could have sworn that stuff was only saved for stories! But any matter, it was a nice change of scenery, even if what surrounded them was far from being anything to match. "Such a gentleboil~" she teased lightly, in good nature.

His light fumble didn't bother her at all, and even earned him a little chuckle in response. In fact, the ghoul leaned forward to press an encouraging kiss to his cheek, "You're cute. let's get a drink~" she hummed, harmonizing with the new music that was filling the room. And to match its tone, she twirled around to briefly follow the same sort of style that the rest of the room was taking, pressing her back to Frost before stepping forward and guiding him along the dance floor. It was easy for her to maneuver about the place, pushing through some clumps of gathered folks, before getting to the other side where beverages were set out. Non-alcoholic, no problem! she plucked up a cup that was filled with an orange colour, and fizzed restlessly. Drinking it, she hummed her approval, sighing contently as it washed down to her stomach, "Not bad~"

A light smile to the compliment, he was doing his best after all “I try to be.” The kiss did him in however. Unexpected, his pink cheeks went utterly red. Paired with her second compliment, the wolfos wasn’t quite sure how to respond aside from obediently follow her, tail wagging without thought. When his mind finally did catch up to him? There was low hum from the back of his throat before he managed to form coherent words. “You’re ah-“ His voice a bit deeper then intended he coughed, trying again. “And you’re a beautiful ghoul Miss Verusha.” Much better.

While she maneuvered the room with ease, Frost was left a bit in awe at the simple skill it seemed to take to not end up bumping into people here and there. Had she not been leading him? He was quite sure he would have had to simply push and shove his way past the crowd. Hardly the polite thing but to him, it felt all a bit rather.. packed. Once to the other side, he looked to the drinks, opting for water. At least he thought it was water. It had a splash of something in it. Lime perhaps. Not a bad flavor, but merely unexpected. He didn’t miss the statement, but now he was a bit curious. “I hope I didn’t disappoint. Being my first time and all.”
