Byron’s Story… Lord Byron Stokes belongs to old blood. But by the time of his birth, his family’s estate had fallen into disrepair and their claim as being a distant member of the royal family was the only thing stopping them from the fall into peasantdom. Nobility without money is an unfortunate circumstance. Byron’s father had frittered away the last of it and then died of a wasting disease before his son turned 10. The Stokes family fell into obscurity; barely surviving but still proud.

Luckily Byron was a determined and resourceful lad and his mother was a bright, well-educated woman that was not going to let her son live out the rest of his life no better than a pauper. Byron was schooled and by the time he turned 15, was ready to get to work clawing their family name back up the ladder.

Taking out a loan from his grandfather, on his mother’s side, Byron bought struggling business and made them profitable again. When he turned 25 his family was back in the black and owned properties across the land. Byron never took an interest in bonding with his fellow nobility (who had not taken very kindly to him in any case and thought his manner of getting right into thick of things quite unbecoming) and continued to buy up large plots of lands. At the age of 30 he sunk a good portion of his fortune investing in a number of high-class inns.

Then at the age of 37, successful in every meaning of the word, Byron found Ilta…

He is now looking to step into the spotlight and make some ties with the local aristocracy, as well as building an inn (of sorts) near the Wardwood meant exclusively for fellow Chosen and their Guardians.
