Chloe: - is at the door with a backpack full of supplies for her first day back at school since vacation - Where did I put my notebook?
Ethan: *yawns slightly as he hops up the steps, rather excited to see his girlfriend after the long break. Hitching his backpack over his shoulder, he gave a quick knock on the door*
Chloe: - throws the last of her things into her bag and then pulls the backpack over her shoulder - Bye mom! Bye dad! See you later! - opens the door and nearly topples into Ethan - Whoa, I didn't see you there. - this should be impossible, but Chloe . . . She hugged him anyway - Weren't you supposed to be back tomorrow?
Ethan: *even through the door, he could hear her yelling to her parents, and he smiled to himself.. well, until she nearly toppled over. Snaking an arm around her to steady her, he gave her a wide smile, chuckling and hugging her right back* Yeah, but I couldn't stand to wait another day to see you... I missed you too much, Chloe~
Chloe: - grins - Well, that and the upcoming tests the teachers are about to throw at us. - she hopped down the stairs, pleased that Ethan was back and things would be normal. She'd gotten used to the idea over the break that she'd be pouting her first day back. Thank the Gods it hadn't happened. Once down the stairs, she slowed down and snuggled up against Ethan. She only ever needed to worry about the stairs. - So, how was your lycanthropic vacation, Ethan?
Ethan: Test, shmest, I can always do make ups... I was on an educational trip *educational not only for himself, but he did get some passes that said it would be for a learning trip.. the only way he could get away with being gone and not sick. Watching her closely, he kept an arm out just in case she needed it.. Not that he'd mind catching her, but he quite enjoyed it when she snuggled against him* It was okay... some parts blurry, and I don't like thinking about some things I ate...*even if his stomach would gurgle for it, he didn't like the thought of his kills* but it was... educational....*yeah... that was a vague way to describe it* How was your vacation?
Chloe: Says the guy who's parents freak if he gets so much as a B. And I highly doubt it was educational. What could you have possibly learned from a trip. Although I wouldn't tell you teachers that. They'd freak if you missed class for nothing. - They walked together, Chloe using Ethan sort of as a balance to even out the bad leg, but trying to act otherwise. The school was a good distance away, but she'd made sure to go early. She didn't torment him much on the food aspect. She herself had been made a meal by a were, so it didn't settle her stomach well either. - The same old same old. My parents are starting to get off my back about counselling, so I was mostly to myself. They made me go in the woods, though . . . - She flinched, shying against his side involuntarily. She didn't like the woods much. -
Ethan: True, though they're the one who dragged me along, so they can't say very much.... *playfully gives her a shifty look* I know that and you know that, but all the office needs to know that it was an "educational experience" *laughs a bit, knowing full well he was lucky enough for someone to understand. He happily gave his support to her, ready to catch her if anything happened or be there for any bumps in the road.. Being by her side and on two feet was more than enough for him.* Oh Chloe.. *sighing, he gave her a small squeeze* I'm sorry I wasn't there for you..... Can you tell me when you have to go into the woods next? I'd be right over if you did *Whether it was in fur or clothes, he didn't know (though he prefered clothes)... he just didn't want her to be afraid*
Chloe: Very true. You're lucky you get to go out. Mine panic if I suffer even a minor set back now. - She was grumbling nonsensically, but ever since her grades had taken a dive after the incident, they put as much pressure as possible so that colleges would still take her seriously and see the reaosn for the break in good grades. She again snuggled into him as he helped her along and comforted her. He was so considerate, her ideal boyfriend in every way. He was extra considerate about the werewolf business. She had a sneaking suspicion it was because he felt responsible, but didn't bring it up much. She would help him in her own way. - I will, I will. They wanted me to go on my own though; it's why they waited until you were gone. It didn't end well. - She flinched and blushed at the memory. - I ran out screaming. There was a dog, but it sorta looked like the werewolf and I-I. - She flinched and snuggled up again. She didn't want to explain anymore. Just thinking about it hurt. -
Ethan: Well.. it means they care, Chloe. Its understandable... *shakes his head lightly* I actually think this part of the trip was partly because they were worried of what would happen if I didn't get out and about in the woods... They're understanding, but it took days of pouting and nights of howling forlornly to get them to see I wasn't enjoying it *and that described the vacation pretty well. There were good moments, but otherwise, he was missing Chloe... and worrying of another attack...* Pushing doesn't help much... *he winced at her retelling, tightening his hold on her for a moment* Shh.. Its okay. I understand...You never have to think of that again... *he smiled to her lightly* Just tell me when they do that again... I'll be there making sure the woods around you are completely void of canid creatures or the like.
Chloe: - chuckles to herself - Yes, but I'm starting to miss my social life. Or whatever it was I had. We should be study buddies or something now that you're back. I can't imagine the teachers not threatening to topple our grades this upcomig week. - Although she couldn't help but think they'd be doing more than studying if her parents even let it happen . . . - Next time we'll tell them to let us go together. I think it works best. You always feel lonely - she smiled up at him - and I always feel like a walking target. That's so romantic. - She sighed. What? She had her moments too. - I doesn't. - she grumbled - Just makes me feel worse. I'll start packing a shot gun or something for next time. They're not gonna let it go. - She let herself take comfort in his protective hug, just standing there. While many people would call what had happened that night a tragedy, she saw it as something that strengthened the both of them. - You know, I have no idea what I'd do without you. After school, maybe we can go somewhere? Brave.
Ethan: A social life is an appropriate description of what you had.. though I'm all for the study buddies... *he wasn't all that concerned about the teachers, he was a good student, but he'd love to be with her more* And no one could say anything when I could just be helping out .. *he gave a quick nod at her suggestion* It would be nice... though I won't let anything happen to you again... *even if she smiled it off, underneath it all, he felt horrible for what had happened to her... and to have her so afraid when he couldn't do anything just ate at him.. but he couldn't help but laugh a bit* A shot gun might be a bit drastic, especially if I'm in the area... Don't want to shoot me on accident *not that he didn't deserve it... but he happily hugged her tightly, never wanting to let her go* The same thing I would do without you, be mopey and miserable because I doubt I'd be leading much of a life without you... *he canted his head for a moment, smiling* Sure, any place in mind?
Chloe: Good. We'll be ready for whatever they throw at us. - She smirked. She knew they'd be doing actually studying, but at the same time, probably more. And if she could find a way for her parents to take an impromptu trip somewhere. It'd be just like them to show up and crash the fun. - Exactly. But I'm okay, Ethan, I promise. - her smile wavered as she smiled up at him. She wasn't okay, but she wanted to be, so badly. - I know you, even your wild side. I'd never shoot you. I'd just shoot anything else. - She chuffed - That is a blatant lie, Ethan, and you know it. I'm sure you'd be okay. - She kissed his cheek and smiled. - Mm, maybe brave somewhere near a forest? Maybe not the actual forest, but a clearing or something?
Ethan: Yes, they will fear our knowledge of anything they throw at us this week... any other week, not so much! *he laughed, enjoying his own stupid humor. He caught the small catch in her smile, but he smiled back, hoping that she would believe it* I know, but I'm protective of you... so even if you say you're okay, I want you to be great. *but he smiled none the less* You might say that now, but in a moment of fear.... *smirks lightly* I'll just start wearing a collar with your address on it... I am yours. *shakes his head lightly* Believe what you wish, but I wouldn't... *her smile was infectious as he gave her a warm smile* We can do that, I know some places that could work *more like alot, but hey, she didn't need to know how much time he wasted strolling along when he couldn't be with her*
Chloe: - She snorted a laugh. He was so cute! She smiled a watt brighter when he smiled back. - Then we'll amp it up to great soon. I'm sure I'll get there someday, hopefully soon. Although I wish you'd stop inwardly beating yourself up . . . - She laughed. - It'll be my anniversary gift for you, Ethan. You'll wear it everywhere, although how everyone'll take it, I'm not sure. Not that they matter. - She'd stopped caring what people thought when they saw them long ago. She would make as many wolf jokes as she wanted, and they could just shake their head and snicker. She was past it. - We're each others; you're mine and I'm yours. - She stuck her tongue out childishly at him. - Good. We'll go there after school, then, 'kay? Whichever one works. - She shrugged. She knew Ethan would never pick somewhere where he didn't consider her safe. It was a given. -
Ethan: The self abuse will end when you hit that great mark *though he completely doubted it himself... Even if she did reach that mark.. that guilt... it wasn't going to go away for a long while... but he grinned to her* Such a wonderful gift, I'll wear it everywhere and freak out the neighborhood. *they totally needed to do it for the hell of it, because it would be beyond amusing, even if the joking sometimes didn't work out great* Speaking of school, it looks like we're here... *grins* I'll check out the dress code to see if they limit collars *grins*
Chloe: Good. Self abuse is a bad thing. - She huffed, pulling up. - So then we'll have to stop by the pet store sometime, maybe stop there after our other stop after school? - She snickered, pulling out her handy dandy pocket rule book. Yes, dorky, but she felt the need to check up. She flipped through the pages. - I don't see anything about collars here . . . just now
- Timeskip -
Ethan: *keeping a tight grip on Chloe, he led her to the clearing. It was close and mildly remote, but from what he could smell, perfectly safe.* You doing okay, Chloe? *he had kept relatively quiet when it came to questioning her, but now that it was in sight... he wanted to be certain he wasn't pushing anything too much*
Chloe: - She still felt tense, even with Ethan here. Clearing or not, she felt surrounded and clung to him desperatley. She had to trust him on this one . . . - Y-yeah, I'm alright. I can do this. - She wasn't sure if it was what he was asking, but it motivated her, at the least.
Ethan: *he could sense the tension just rolling off of her in waves, not even needing the grip on him to tell that. How could he get her to calm down, to relax?* You're doing great, hun. Don't worry, there's not a single living thing around but us and a squirrel... *he didn't know if that was comforting or what* But.. if it gets to be too much, just tell me and we can get out of here... *he didn't even quite understand why they were doing this, it was an attempt to be brave, sure, but to what end?*
Chloe: - She felt trapped, as she always did. The mounting panic was becoming something expected, but that didn't make it any less frightening. She kept her grip on Ethan for support and took a few deep breaths, but couldn't ease up. She trusted Ethan to protect her, and she'd do her darndest to protect him. Just a squirrel, she told herself. Only a squirrel. Nothing to worry about. He wouldn't bring me here if it wasn't okay. Deep breath - No, no, we should stay. - She eased herself onto the cool grass, tugging him down with her. She could see the question in his eyes. - We can't live our life afraid of every wooded area.
Ethan: *giving her a worried glance, he covered his hand over hers, running them soothingly over as he sensed her panic. Leaning against her, he continued to keep close, the little touches, he hoped, would help bring some sense of calm or normalicy...* We'll only stay as long as you're okay. Don't push yourself, Chloe... too much will just hurt you... *just watching her ate at him, but he followed her into the grass without question, wrapping an arm around her tightly as he sat close and planted a kiss into her hair* I just don't want you forcing yourself too much, too quickly... *he shook his head, he wasn't afraid of the woods... just what they would do to her* I just want you safe and secure, woods or no woods...
Chloe: - She sent him an usteady smile. - Ethan, I'll be fine. You worry too much. I know you're worried, but I'll be fine. Just give me a second. - She snuggled against him, smiling unconvincingly. He only worried about her, and it ate at her to know that he had no concern whatsoever for himself. He was so selfless and she was so . . . clingy. She loved him all the more for it. He brushed his hands over hers, calming her, but the usual still lingered. It was a pretty place, nothing that would necessarily incite panic in anyone but her. - There's no harm in a little recovery, right? So let's just relax . . . You too. I know you'll keep me safe, so this shouldn't be too worrying.
Ethan: I'll give you all the time you need.. *he must seem like a paranoid nut at this point..but he did worry, especially when he felt as though he was the cause of her panic. None of his worries could match a single one that she went through... and he didn't mind worrying about her. She took up his thoughts anyways, happy or worried.... he just wished he could help more... Tightening his grip on her, he continued to run his hand along hers* I'm just fine, Chloe... and I'll keep you safe no matter what... *he gave her a light smile* Speaking of which, that squirrel has hopped over to a different tree... *giving a nod in a general direction of said mammal* and now there's a... I want to say rabbit close by... *maybe the thoughts of them would be helpful*
Chloe: Ethan . . . - She huffed in exasperation, but she didn't make any move to leave or anything. It was cute, and the way Ethan had been since forever. It had only gotten worse after the incident. - I'm not a doll, Ethan, you know that . . . - She burrowed against him. She highly doubted what she said would change it in the least tonight. - You don't need to tell me, I already know that. I just wish you worried about yourself a little too. - She peered up into the trees to see a small flurry blur jump from branch to branch. It was busy. She wanted to see the rabbit, but didn't want to venture in. - That's nice. Feeling hungry?
Ethan: *smiles gently her way, putting his head on hers* You're adorable when you get mad at me... *it was mumbled, but sincere* I know you aren't a doll, or anything fragile in the least... but you're my girlfriend and I want to keep you safe and happy... and I'm not really worried about myself. *hugging her tightly he shook his head* I just don't want to lose you.. so something out in the woods or to your own fear.. *he sighed, knowing full well he was not only afraid of that, but that her feelings may change and she'd want to leave... but he forced that smile even if she couldn't fully see it.* I could eat a horse... not literally . 3.;;;
Chloe: - frowns - I'm not mad . . . It's just that you always coddle me. I won't break, Ethan. I promise. - It was a hollow promise, and she knew it. She couldn't promise she'd be normal or act like a normal girl or hang out in the woods, least of all at night. It just wouldn't happen. But for the here and now, she felt fine, just fine. - I know. - she murmured. It seemed to be his main focus. - But I wish you didn't blame yourself for what happened that night. - She said it so quietly she wasn't sure if he heard her, but she'd put it out there. It was her biggest concern over his safety. Mentally, that is. He put her over him because he'd passed out and she'd gotten her leg . . . torn off in the process while he was out cold. There, she'd thought it, but she couldn't help the flinch. - I want you to be happy, that's it. - She paused. She didn't know how he'd react, so she kept on. - Well, I'm sure there are plenty of bunnies and deer out here . . . But if you're not in the mood we could go out to eat, or I could make you something.
Ethan: I know you won't break... *sighs slightly, moving a paw off of her to run it through his hair* I just... worry... I want to do everything I can to make you happy *winces a bit* I really don't try to be so suffocating with my coddling.... *he flicked an ear, dropping his gaze as he brought his arm back around her. He might have been suffocating, he knew it, but he needed that closeness, especially when he felt the flinch* Even if I'm not the monster that attacked you, it was my suggestion we go. I couldn't protect you that time, and now, even if its just a hint, I'll be another one of those constant reminders of that night... *shakes his head at the thought, knowing full well he would always take the blame* But know that even if I don't worry about myself, I'm happy. I have you and you're all I need *smiles a hint* Well, not that I'd mind going for a run... that doesn't get you anything to eat... *leans down and gives her a peck* And after spending so much time away from you, I'd prefer to spend all the time I can to make up for it...
Chloe: It's not always about me, you know. You're my boyfriend, which means we get equal attention. And worry. - She'd spent many a night apart wondering what the heck he was doing, if he was okay on the night of the full moon, if he was hurt by a hunter or deer . . . It ws frustrating. Ethan could take care of himself, she knew that. It was just so hard to take . . . - I know you do, but I want you to be happy, like I am. You're not suffocating, or at least I don't mind, but I worry about you too. - runs a hand through his hair, smiling - You didn't attack me, and it certainly isn't your fault you're a werewolf. It's no one but their's, whoever they are. Not yours. Not. Yours. - She looked him dead in the eye at this. She sighed. He was romantic, so very romantic. A little centered on her, but it would have to do. Then we'll go out to eat, or do you want dinner at my place?

Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf Part 1 Chloe: - touches up the last of her makeup; bright red lipstick, smokey eyes and reddish cheeks. She flipped her blond locks, which she'd fashioned into big blond curls, over her shoulder and flipped her red hood up. It covered enough that she didn't have to worry about the leg, but was close enough that she didn't have to worry about looking dull. It was more daring than she'd usually dress, but in a way, she liked being a little courageous. She picked up her red draw bag and headed to the door where she would wait for Ethan. -
Ethan: *glances up at the sky with a light glare, he shook his head lightly. The want to change made his skin itch and bones ache.. Damn moon, it wasn't going to ruin his night with Chloe and he would make sure that he wouldn't linger on the thoughts of his change... It wasn't going to happen tonight. Stepping himself up to her house, he gave himself a quick once over. Ruffled hair, a light shmeer of brown makeup over his face and arms under torn clothes.. complete with ears and tail... It was nearly funny, the werewolf dressing like a werewolf...but it showed just how creative he was.... not at all. Giving a light knock on the door, he slung his bag over his shoulder, smiling. This was as beastly as he was going to get tonight*
Chloe: - Chloe checked herself in the mirror one last time, and with an approving nod she called over her shoulder to her parents to remember about the Halloween candy for the kids. She'd seen the stash hidden above the refridgerator, but wasn't sure if they remembered. Sure enough, her mom hurried from downstairs to find an orange bowl and the bags of candy and fill it. Glad she'd finished that accomplishment, she opened the door at the knock to see Ethan, dressed like . . . a werewolf. She stifled a laugh. - Original, although I bet you could've pulled off something more convincing. At least we'll match. - She bit her lip and took his hand, walking him down the steps and to the lane. The houses on her street tended to be far apart . . . private. Nice and peaceful without having ot worry about neighbors. It made trick or treating awful, though. -
Ethan: *smiling lightly as she opened the door, he definately took a pause to glance over her* ...You look amazing.... *definately more put together than he did... but hey, it made her laugh and that was all that mattered to him... he didn't want to admit it, but the thought of just staying at her house definately crossed the mind at the sight of her outfit.. she was definately going to catch alot of attention... and if he was a weaker were, he'd be growling at the thought...but he cast it aside to look back to her* You know I aim to please, Chloe.. though people might steal you away so I don't eat you up *he gave her a lopsided grin, giving her hand a light squeeze to let her know he was kidding (so not to let her worry) before starting to walk with her. Keeping his pace slow to match hers, he glanced around. It was a nice night out, past the moon and his growing discomfort in his own skin... but it didn't show a it on his face* So who we hitting up first, lil Red?
Chloe: - She grinned shyly. - I'm a big girl now, I figured it was about time to start looking like it. - She batted her eyelashes at him innocently and dropped the smile, but it resurfaced quickly. - Is the Big Bad Wolf getting possessive now? I promise that all the people that live here are old people and families. No teenagers in sight. - She snicked, imagining her elderly neighbors and the tiny children forming a mob and coming after them. It didn't quite fit. - They're not much for torches and pitch forks, either. Too archaic. I can't say anything about foam swords, though. I don't think they'll hurt you unless they poke you in the eye. - She returned the smile quickly and peered up the road. - My distant neighbors. Usually they give out tons of cany, even at the start. They'll probably even give us extra since they're family friends. - Chloe's route for Halloween was akin to a plan of attack. She'd been trick or treating since she was one and knew what every resident in the village tended to hand out and who would close up shop early and when the less visited areas usually were . . . like her street. -
Ethan: *it took him a moment to look back to her, he was male after all, but when he did, he was all smiles* Well, you definately look it.. and you look beautiful... *smiling, he tried for a moment to look insulted, but the smile couldn't stay away from his face* Me? Possessive? Why would you say that, lil' Red? *he flashed a bit of teeth playfully, glancing around* Hmm... those foam swords might be quite dangerous.. but they couldn't stop me from stealing you away. *he felt.. playful, more so than usual, he didn't know if it was a distraction or what, but hey, just as long as she didn't mind.* Well, we better get started before they run out.. it would be a real shame to miss out on the best houses. *though if he knew her at all, she would have a strategy for all the best places. He hadn't been trick or treating in quite some time.. his neighbors weren't that generous at times, but they could make up for that tonight... but as he continued to try to think of tonights going ons, he couldn't help but unconsciously scratch at the arm holding Chloe's...and when he finally noticed, he quickly shoved his hand in his pocket, his back around his wrist. Damn moon, hopefully she didn't notice.....but he did have the sense to bring their joined hands up to plant a kiss on the back of hers* Well, lead the way, Chloe, onward to attack the unsuspecting villagers |3
Chloe: - She smirked. It hadn't passed her that Ethan was being very . . . careful with the way he acted around her tonight. She didn't mind. In fact, she found it sort of sweet that he was so considerate, albeit the expected reaction from a guy, Ethan or not. She blushed, sly smile still in place. This was good. This was very good, going just like she wanted it too. - Excellent. That's what I was going for. I'm glad mom wasn't paying too much attention to what I was going to wear, or else she would have locked me up. Dad too. Expecially if they knew the Big Bad Wolf was coming with. - she joked, nudging his shoulder. Her parents were extremely overprotective when it came to Ethan, even more so as they got older and their relationship was still in place. She had to be very careful what she let slip around them or else they'd send her to boarding school or lock her up and home school her. She'd hate that, and so would Ethan. Why on Earth would she tell them this time? - Oh, I dunno . . . - she cooed playfully in reponse, playing with the deep red skirt, acting bashful. - Aren't wolves usually possessive? - she smirked again. She knew for a fact that Ethan at least was possessive. - I didn't think they would. Don't you worry Ethan, I'll protect you from the bad little kids. - A laugh as she peered up the street at the approaching house. This couple had been married for some time, decades, and were elderly now. They had to stop early. - Exactly. Now these two always give out lots of candy, but they'd older, so they'll close up shop early. They're very nice, though, and they're very festive around Halloween . . . - She went up the steps to her neighbors' door and knocked quietly. They opened the door without a wait, having obviously been waiting for the first trick-or-treaters. They beamed at the couple, happily adding a good amount of candy to their bags as they chatted them up. -
Ethan: *catching sight of her blush in the moonlight, he gave her a grin* Oh, I'm very glad they didn't pay much attention. It means I get to have you all for myself tonight...well, past the mob that would want to take you away *he knew just how overprotective her parents could be, granted, they had good reason to with what happened, but he knew the moment they tried to pull her away, he'd go nuts... or just follow after... or both. It was a wonder she had any sanity at all between their protectiveness and his coddling... but hey, just as long as he got to be by her. His grin widening at her playfulness, he let go of her hand to wrap around her waist for a moment, pulling her into a half hug, but being sure to keep her steady as he returned his hand into hers. His sidelong glance to her bashful one made him grin... though he didn't exactly notice the change in his teeth.* Usually, but I'm always possessive of you, wolf or no wolf. *easily keeping his pace matching hers, he watched the passing houses, knowing that she'd have them on her plans of attack.* Awww! I feel spoiled that you'd protect me from the little kids. <3 *and with that he laughed, pausing to listen. He eagerly followed after, his fake tail bouncing after him... It had definately been a decent haul from just the first house, and it was nice to see the older couple being so into the season. After they closed the door, he grinned down at her* Who's next?
Chloe: Oh, yes. All to yourself minus the old people, trick-or-treaters, and their parents . . . who know my parents . . . who know you . . . But if we're careful we can keep my parents from leading the mob. Very careful. - Ethan wasn't likely to let them get ahold of her attentions, even if they tried to get her back home. Thankfully, she'd left her cell off, but kept it just in case there was an emergency. She'd become cautious ever since the incedent, but was becoming less so by the day. Getting accustomed to the idea that her boyfriend was a werewolf and that full moons happened every month. It didn't bother her so much, which was why she was still out on this wonderful full moon. Aside from that she wouldn't let it get in the way of her Halloween and evergrowing candy stashes. She rested her head on his shoulder, smiling . . . until she caught sight of his teeth. They seemed-sharper, somehow. Pointed. Larger. But then she blinked and it was gone. The full moon must be going to her head. She shook it and looked away focusing again on the road and upcoming houses. - Not that you'd need it, but it counts, right? And if they get out of hand, I can just call their parents. - She flashed her cell phone at him with a smile and pocketed it again. - Well, unless their parents are out to get you too. Then we're screwed. - She pointed up the road at a cheerful beige house, small and with a few homeday, cosy Halloween decorations. - Them. They have kids, but usually their oldest daughter sticks around to hand out treats. Sometimes she has some friends over, but she wasn't planning to this year. - She shrugged. It didn't bother her. Was it just her imagination, or was Ethan getting a little furrier. The teeth, the fur, the scratching . . . was the full moon getting to him? She shuddered and lay her head on his shoulder again to hide her frown of concern and a little bit of fear. -
Ethan: Hey, I do have you to myself *grins as he raises their hands* They're not the one holding your hand and enjoying the evening together... *laughing slightly, he glanced around* Oh, I'll be sure to keep you out of the mob's hands *just the lovely thought of the mob, it was heartwarming to think of her parents leading old people to hunt him down and drag her away from him. Though he had the lingering fear that it might be needed. All he could do was hope that the aching wouldn't come. He'd hold it off as long as he could, but that was his biggest fear. there would be no stopping it then.... Worse case, he'd get her to a safe spot and leave. He didn't want to scare her at all. One of the few things he was thankful for was that he was pretty dang good at hiding bad thoughts from his face* That really is all that counts.. but oh God, watch the parents join in *playfully groans* We'll get impaled on all the foam swords... or I will. *he blinked, glancing over to the nice house* Sounds like a plan, let's try to get there before that little group gets there. *smiling, as they walked, he paused a beat. He caught a hint of her shudder and looked down, concern evident on his face.* Hey, is everything alright? *leaning, he planted a light kiss into her hair. Maybe she could tell something was up* There's nothing to worry about. Tonight's going to be a fun night.. even if we have to run from a mob, I'll make sure you're safe. *and he always would, though at this point, he was less concerned about the mob and more about the moon.*
Chloe: True. - she smiled serenly. She had to trust that Ethan would control himself during the full moon. She had to. If she couldn't trust Ethan to keep her safe, who could she? - I think we should just concentrate on keeping the mob from forming. Be a good werewolf for my neighbors and we won't have to worry about them . . . I hope. - She swore she could see a hint of concern on his face, but it disappeared just as quickly as as it had come. Ethan would hide anything important from her. right? He would tell her if it was happening, right? She stared up at the moon in the sky and prayed that it wouldn't be this night in particular that it happened. Tomorrow or some other day or something. But she thought to herself that Ethan would probably come up to the house for her on her favorite day, Halloween, despite his discomfort and the threat of changing. She smiled innocently up at Ethan, disappating her thoughts. She only nodded. Chloe wasn't a great liar, and if she said something, she was afraid it would tip him off. - I know. Ir's nothing. - She squeaked at the end, but hoped he didn't notice. She reminded herself it probably wouldn't happen anytime soon, not yet . . . Chloe smiled at Ethan on her way up the steps. It seems that her neighbor had decided to have a last minute Halloween party afterall. She could hear the music and see the flashing lights from street through her living room window. She knocked on the door. Waited a few seconds. Knocked again. Waited a minute. Knocked, and then started ringing the doorbell. A very annoyed looking girl in a skimpy costume opened the door frowning, but then smiled in a friendly way at the two of them. - Oh, hey! What're you here for? Candy? You can come in if you want. I have to go dig it up. It's probably in the kitchen cupboards or something. - Chloe started to shake her head, but the girl was already inside, winding her way through the crowd. Hesitantly she stepped inside, not wanting to insult her. She waited a few minutes, clutching Ethan's hand tightly in her own until someone stepped out from the crowd, but pulled back when she noticed it wasn't her. The boy in question smiled in a flirty way, but Chloe only stepped closer to Ethan, as if hinting she was already taken. That didn't stop him, though. He came closer before introducing himself. - Hey, cutie. Who're you? I'm Nick. - Chloe frowned, but hesitantly told him her name, sneaking peeks at Ethan the whole time. -
Ethan: And they're not the one who could easily steal you away... Because I'm always a good werewolf, Lil' Red... it just doesn't seem that way to others. *he smiled, though he was beyond concerned. He was constantly trying to keep himself under control, to keep himself from changing.. heck, any other full moon he stayed as far from her house as he could to make sure she would be safe. But he was here for her, even if it was risky and a test of his willpower... and how much he could stand the slow ache building. He risked a glance up to the sky, only for a moment.... Dammit, it was way too soon. As he brought his eyes back down to her, he smiled warmly in reply* Okay, if you say so. I just don't want you worrying *he blinked for a moment.. was that a squeak? She.. must have been remembering that night, that must have been it. He bit his lip absentmindedly, though instantly stopped at the sharp feeling behind it. Fudge, it was lucky that he didn't yelp, damn teeth... but luckily he didn't taste blood* ...... *When that girl opened the door.. he could tell this was going to be fun. He had seen her around town before and she seemed just as lovely as then, because that snark was just what was needed. But he stepped in, keeping ahold of Chloe with a tight grip at the sea of moving bodies. Lifting a hand to his nose, he quickly rubbed at the stink of cologne, perfume and sweat, crowds had never sat well with him, more so since his change. It was harder to focus with the smells, at it took him off guard at the sudden guy popping up..... He was hitting on his girlfriend. Just... the...a small growl escaped, not heard over the music, but the glare could definately be seen. His, she was his. And no moron was going to take her.. even if he had to grab her and run or...Oh crap... Taking a deep, steadying breath, he stepped up, wrapping an arm around her waist possessively with a cold smile towards the other male* Hi Nick. I'm Ethan, I see you've met my girlfriend. *shifting in the hopes that Chloe wouldn't see, he grinned. he knew full well that his teeth were changing, sharpening and lengthening... Okay, so he was a bit more pissed than expected, but he would happily let them if it scared the guy off... though he wouldn't be talking very long.* We're just here for some candy, and we'll be on our way once the girl brings it... so don't waste your time hitting on someone that will never be yours.
Chloe: If they're not then who is? - she happily purred. - Seems that way to me, too. I'm sure mom and dad know too . . . They just don't like to admit it. - Something was definitely bothering him, but he wouldn't tell her, but it was worth a shot. - Ethan, is something wrong? Is it the moon? - She frowned, concerned. Yes, Halloween was important, but if she wanted more candy, she could just buy some and spare Ethan the trouble. He was clearly uncomfortable, even if he wouldn't admit it to her face. She smiled back, but it was unconvincing. Now she was worried, because if Ethan wasn't enjoying it, there was no point in keeping on. - Ethan, if this is too hard you can just, uh, you know. - She waved her hand vaguely in the air. He knew just as well as she did what the problem was. This time around, she was more careful observing his actions, in case she needed some more proof if he denied it. She felt him tense up and looked up quickly enough to see a glimpse of sharp teeth, this time unable to deny that it was happening, and quickly. It was so sweet that Ethan would risk it, but if this was too much, she'd rather help him get through this than trick-or-treat. - Ethan . . . - The frantic glances from Ethan back to Nick were telling. Ethan was sending deadly glares Nick's way and she could feel his growl. She smiled pleasantly at Ethan and grinned at his astonished look, but it fell when she realized Nick wasn't backing off.- Well isn't that . . . great. Y'know, I why don't you go get her something to drink or . . . something. - Chloe was now the one glaring at Nick. Ethan wouldn't be going anywhere, she knew. But she didn't appreciate the way Nick stepped up to her. She was clearly taken, so why didn't he leave? This wasn't someone she wanted get to know better. Please, please, please come soon with the candy. She wasn't sure why, but Nick seemed very frightened when he finally passed a glance at Ethan. He peered back again, eyes widening, and Chloe chanced a glance at his face, to see his sharppening canines. But Nick looked determined and went back to looking at her. - Nice costume. Why don't we ditch this freak and-? - Chloe glared even more, snuggling closer to Ethan and slowly but surely heading toward the door. - Where do you think you're going?
Ethan: *grins* I'm the only one who can... and I hope that one day they'll know that I'll keep you safe. *it would definately save him some jumping through a few hurdles... not that he minded really. She was worth it...but he shook his head at her look of concern. Looks like he was caught... But he couldn't really lie to her, he hated to do that to her so much, but if it saved her some worry, then he could do it a little.* Its a.. little bit of a problem, but I'm just fine. You've been excited for this night for awhile, and I'd much rather be with you than sulking in the woods. *glancing away a bit, he kept his smile up just for her* I know you're worried, but I've held it off before *with the help of pure terror that had accompanied the fear of that second change but she didn't need to know that part* I already told yo you shoudln't worry.. you'll be safe no matter what. *of that he was certain... though at the introduction of this punk, he wasn't too sure of Nick's well being. This stupid little... he didn't have enough insults to throw his way...couldn't take a hint.* Oh no, there's no need. We have some drinks stowed away. I'm perfectly content where I am *he shifted, showing his candy bag. Sure, he was lying a bit, but he'd be damned if he even thought about leaving her side... but oh did that hint of fear leave him grinning all the more. Now, he'd never admit to enjoying violence, he usually hated it, but the thought of kicking his a** was one of the most welcome thoughts on his mind. And freak? A Freak?! If this little punk knew the half of it, he'd piss himself and the thought had him snickering* Are you sure I'm the freak? *his hold tightened slightly along her side, knowing full well that he was pushing it. His skin itched, teeth and bones ached..heck, even his nails and ears were beginning to lengthen but it didn't matter if it got him away from Chloe. He had to protect her, to keep her safe..it was getting harder to think... but it left him suprised as he felt the shift in her moving towards the door, bringing him back to reality for a second*... Chloe?
Chloe: Are you sure, Ethan? Really sure? I don't want you to do this if it really bothers you. I don't. Don't think I do. - She didn't like taking advantage of the fact that Ethan usually listened to her, but if it got him out, then she would use it to her advantage. - I'd much rather you be comfortable sulking in the woods than uncomfortable with me. It's not worth it. - She was getting the feeling he wouldn't listen to her unless it really was getting to him. She gave him a steady stare that told him she didn't buy it for one second, then set it aside. If he wanted to be uncomfortable for candy, then fine. She'd get them through this quickly. - And I'd rather he stay. - She smiled contentedly, like she was happier wherever Ethan was, which was true, but she usually didn't let it on. She peered up in concern at Ethan. This was pushing it too far. They were leaving, candy or no. She shot one last glare Nick's way, but he didn't seem to notice as he stuttered in fear, finally realizing the danger he was in messing with Ethan. She dragged him out the door and to the woods a good distance away from a house in any direction before stopping. She waved her hands at the woods. - Go on. I told you I care more about you than the dumb candy, and it's the truth. Don't worry about him, just, you know, change or whatever. - She shrugged, as if it didn't bother her, and at this point, she could care less. Ethan had spent most of the night uncomfortable on the brink of an involuntary shift but struggling with it. Now he needed to get something out of tonight. - I'll stay right here, 'kay? - For a second there she was under the impression that Ethan was going to stop her but then thought better of it. Thank god for that, because she wasn't sure she could stop him if he wanted to go back and give Nick a piece of his mind . . . physically . . . Not that she would mind seeing that happen, but he needed to leave. She was shocked to realize she wasn't the least bit afraid to be around Ethan after he changed, but at the same time, it was Ethan. He wouldn't hurt her. He wouldn't let himself hurt her. - I know you do, but we can be together all the time. It's hurting you Ethan, so go. It only hurts you more to hold yourself back. You didn't ruin it in the least bit, so stop apologizing. I'll be waiting for you, alright? - She hesitated, unsure whether or not she should follow that order, but after hearing it for a few seconds she settled in and covered her ears until it stopped. She felt so bad that this had ever happened to him, that she'd asked to come along even if it was Halloween. -
Ethan: *it had taken awhile (not that he had any idea of the time in this form), but with a light huff, to himself, he made his way back to Chloe. He hated it so much that he had to leave her... but in the time it had taken him to change and take a quick run to run himself out, he knew she'd be safe. And hopefully he'd be able to force a change back soon... he hadn't had many full moons to really experiment with the idea. Sniffing the air lightly, he slowly made his way back to where he had left her, making a bit of noise to warn her of him coming back. Any other time, this would look a bit humorous, the big ol' wolf looking like a forlorn puppy as stepped around the bushes back to her. Though it was a bit more humorous at the addition of the semi-torn pants he had managed to keep on somehow.. not that he'd ever wear them again*..... *letting out a low whine, he lowered himself, stomach brushing the ground below as he tried to get her attention.*
Chloe: - She sat waiting patiently for Ethan to get it out of his system while pulling grass up from the ground. She was nervous, but she repeated over and over again in her head that he was in control and that he wouldn't abandon her here. She felt bad that she even had to think about it, but it comforted her into believing that if there were any other weres in the vicinity, she wasn't alone. She jumped at a noice from the bushes and couldn't help the small whimper that bubbled up at the sight of the wolf . . . until she saw the tattered pants. Then she had to stifle the giggle. He looked so sad right now that she couldn't help but relax. She got off the ground and relocated herself nearer Ethan so that she could cautiously brush her hand through his fur with a smile. He looked so adorable, wolf or not. -
Ethan: His ears immediately dropped at the sound of her whimper, knowing full well that it was over him... but he relaxed immediately at the sound of her laugh, no matter how stifled. Giving a wolfish grin, his tail wagged slightly that she was okay with touching him. It meant so much that she could do that, that she trusted him that much. Turning his big head, he reached back to give her arm a playful lick, hoping to show her how in control he was.. it wasn't horribly hard at this point, his brain was there, he just had some wolfish tendencies. At this point though, he probably should be wearing a collar with her name on it with the way he was acting. Frowning, well as much as a wolf could, he looked up to her, worry showing through his eyes* Okay?
Chloe: - She laughed again. See? This isn't so bad. It's just Ethan . . . as a wolf. She didn't really mind the distinction, though. It truly was just Ethan, and he was a very friendly wolf, almost like a pet dog. He was grinning and licking and so happy, just like the pet dog she'd had when she was little. But it's not a dog, is it? It's Ethan. She had to stop the urge to start throwing sticks or something ridiculous like that, because she didn't want to demean him for all the trouble he was going to to make her comfortable. She tilted her head curiously, unsure at first what he was trying to convey, but then smiled reassuringly. - It's perfect. You're perfect. - She ran her hand over his fur again, ruffling it. -
Ethan: *the sound of her laughter just meant the world to him. How else could he describe it? he could easily get him to act like an idiot, just like he was now.. but he was too ecstatic to be anything but. He shook his head at the compliment, his tail going a million miles an hour. Hesitantly, he shifted, putting his head against her lap* No.. you. *he was far from it, but if she could stand to be close, heck, to even touch him it was amazing... though he had to admit, he wished he could talk more without sounding like a menacing beast, or even change back...he wanted to hug her tightly and show her just how proud he was of her... but that would have to wait a bit before he forced that*
Chloe: - Her smile widened, running a hand through his fur and hesitantly touching his ears. His teeth definitely frightened her a bit, but the Ethan mantra ran through her head. Maybe a normal werewolf was bad being this close, but Ethan was different from a normal werewolf in a million different ways. She played with the fur at the ruff of his neck and up to the top of his head. - I refuse to believe that. You're sweet, and brave, and absolutely adorable . . . - She trailed off, once again messing with his fur. Was it okay to call him adorable? Or did Ethan not like being called adorable? She couldn't remember, but the cute wolf routine was growing on her. - This isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It's . . . nice.
Ethan: *flicking his ears at her touch, he gave a happy rumble of appriciation at the touch, half smiling against the touch, though he gave his head another shake at the compliments. He was none of that, she was describing herself. He gave her a mischievious glare- adorable? Since when did he turn adorable? He'd show her adorable when he got back in his skin... not that he minded, but it was the point of it.. and he didn't want to scare her while she was so close...oh gosh, her touch felt so nice to... Even if it was.. pretty easy to stay in control.. it was so easy to forget things when he was like this. It would be so easy to just curl around her and enjoy her messing with his fur....Though she thought it would be bad? That was a comforting thought, but hearing it was nice made him smile just a hint even as he gave her an apologetic glance. Lifting his head to give her a light nuzzle* Love...
Chloe: - She played with his ears. This was just Ethan with lots and lots of fur-well, and ears. And a tail. And fan-Nevermind, she didn't need to go there. She was amazed at how easily he adapted to being a wolf, he could use his eyes to make her understand his emotions more than his nearly-unintelligible words. - Don't look at me like that. You do look adorable. I mean, I guess most people wouldn't say wolves are adorable, but, I mean~ Er, nevermind. Would you rather I call you a handsome wolf? - She saw his apologetic glance and frowned - No, seriously. This is nice. Very nice. I didn't think you'd be such a controlled werewolf. I dunno, I thought you'd be wilder or something. But you're like a dog-Should I have not said that? - She flinched, this time she was the one looking at him apologetically. - I love you too . . .
Ethan: *snickering, well, sounding a bit more like Muttley than actually snickering, he shook his head in amusement. It didn't matter to him what she called him.. though the adorable thing, eh, he'd have to accept it sooner or later. Only she would see this. How could he say to her "call me what you wish?" without it sounding like a garbled mess? But he gave a half shrug, returning his head to her lap. What could he really say? Practice makes perfect? He had his reason for being in control, and that reason was her. It was hard to do this otherwise.. When she wasn't close, that was when he let himself go wild... and he tended to end up in her back yard.. but that was a minor issue.. All he wanted was for her to be happy...and to not be afraid of him. Wagging his tail, he gave a small bark...thing... he wasn't sure what he could call it.. and brought his head up to give her a quick lick on the cheek, ever playful. If she could say it to him when he was like that... he was just astounded.. It was fantastic. But he wasn't going to lie when he said he wanted to be back to normal*
Chloe: - She bit her lip and rubbed the side of his chest. If only she were able to be this bold when he was human, then maybe their relationship would be plenty farther along. It was unlikely she'd ever be cuddling up to Ethan like this in his usual form and telling him she loved him. It was assumed between them, of course, but she rarely said it. She was shy, although the two of them had been together for awhile now. For some reason she saw him in a different light when he was a wolf; he was so responsive and happy and playful. She supposed Ethan was always like this, but for some reason she felt more open, less guarded. Or it could just be because there were no bystanders, no one watching their every move, no one waiting for one of them to slip up. Just her and Ethan for once. She leaned forward and kissed his wet nose. She didn't rub at her cheek, although the lick was a bit slobbery, but it was like a kiss from Ethan's other side. Just as sweet. - So, how do we get you back to normal? Not that I don't like this side of you . . . I do . . . But I think there's a lot more we can do as humans, don't you?
Ethan: *rumbles happily once again at her touch, heck, if he was a werecat, he'd be purring. It just felt.. fanastic, whether it was the actual rubbing or the fact she was touching him, he couldn't quite tell. It was a nice change and he was going to savor every minute of it... It wasn't as though he didn't want to do more when he was human, he had always loved contact.. but he didn't want to push her. For now, he'd take what she'd give and it would be just enough for him, especially if he got some kisses which could send his tail aflyin' Glancing away for a moment, he nodded, shifting away and standing up to shake himself out. He usually waited until sunrise to really try anything, but he could give it a shot... Heck, if it worked, they could enjoy the rest of the night together.* Force change.. *There wasn't any other method. Raising a paw, he ran it over his ear, much like a cat... hoping she'd know not to listen again. That was the worst part, the pain... and he was nearly afraid that even if he could return to being human, that he couldn't stay that way.. Moving quickly, he moved towards the bushes, looking back with a toothy smile and worried eyes.. he didn't know if he should be close to her, but he wanted to stick around.*
Chloe: - She could tell Ethan was enjoying himself immensley and wondered briefly if he always had this much fun as a wolf or if this was just because she was around, but as long he was enjoying himself. He'd seemed so upset when she'd had him change today, so apologetic, as if he was somehow ruining their plans, but they got to spend plenty of quality time together today than they would have had if they'd gone on with her Halloween plans. And he was so comfortable around her, too like this, not in the least bit withdrawn. It was fantastic, the best night she'd had so far. Unless some wild werewolf tore up the night-literally-this was the best night ever for her. She kissed his nose one last time before he left and ran her hand through his soft fur before pulling away. - Alright. - she murmured, and placed her hands over her ears to lock out any sound and returned his smile. She felt bad for making him. Would he rather he stay a wolf for now. She was about to shout it out before he went to the bushes and she turned around to give him privacy. -
Ethan: *this was definately a fun evening, more so than any other night he had spent away from her. Chloe just made everything better for him and he loved every bit of her... Though he truly wished that they could have this much fun all the time. He always coddled her so much when human, but now, he could just scare off any threat, were from non.. though he doubted anything would even come close. Aside from the sound of people, and he did feel guilty about the ruining the trick or treating, he didn't hear much else in going ons tonight.. he just hoped it would stay quiet after he changed. The kiss on the nose was a happily taken boost as she slinked into the bushes. He didn't look forward to forcing the change, back or forth, it hurt... Only time it didn't was on the rare occasions he changed in his sleep. Dropping down to his stomach, he tried to focus... he wasn't amazing at switching forms, but he could manage... It took a minute, longer than it usually did, but he yelped slightly as the first poppings and reorganization of his bones began. All he could do was hope that she couldn't hear... he never had gotten to the point where he didn't yell*
Chloe: - She was glad that the kiss on the nose had perked him up a bit. He was just so darn considerate. Just because she'd asked he'd try to force the change so that they could spend more time together in human form. She was definitely going to show him how much she appreciated, although how she wasn't sure. She felt so guilty for making him go through the pain. The rational part of her said that he would feel it anyway, but she had a feeling that if he changed too early, he would need to change again and then change back again. A whole new round of this agonizing pain. And all because she wanted him to. Dutifully she kept her hands over her ears the whole time, but in the background she could hear his cries of pain, and it really hurt her. This was what he had to do every full moon? This was what he needed to go through, whether he liked it or not? She swore every swear word she knew and then some at the wolves who had cursed him to this existence. -End Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf Part 1

Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf Part 2 - Time skip - Chloe: - Once she heard his yells stop, she cautiously headed back into the bushes to find and comfort him. Why had this happened to him? -
Ethan: *blinking drearily, he glanced about, his thoughts going right back to Chloe as he canted his head to her general direction. Well, it looked like the shift worked, he was back to seeing like a human...But he still felt... wrong. It was different from his other changes as he pushed himself up with a groan.. he still felt achey as he sat, he had to make sure that he had all of his digits and that he was lacking a tail... Everything checked out.. And the pants! They had survived! ... well, at least covering the important bits. the legs were shreaded. But what was this feeling? Taking in a shakey breath, he gave a tired smile as Chloe came over, reaching to her. He wasn't going to be getting up soon, but he could tell she was worried and he needed to comfort her.. even if he was feeling like he was the beginning of the night* Hey there, Lil' Red...
Chloe: - Chloe stooped down towards him in a rush, taking hold of his hand. He just looked so darn tired, as if he hadn't changed at all. It frustrated her, but also made her want to cry. Ethan had always been so sweet, so protecting, so nice. Why had she even asked him to change back in the first place? He'd just have to change back again and go through the whole process over. She leaned down to kiss him and rub at her eyes. She wouldn't cry, she wouldn't cry, she wouldn't cry . . . - Ethan! Are you okay? I'm so sorry! I thought that it would be okay if you changed back, but it's not is it? Darn it! I thought-I thought you wouldn't have to do it over again. I'm so, so sorry!
Ethan: *caught off guard at the rush of Chloe, it took him a moment before he could sense her turmoil, it just rolled off of her. Lingering on the kiss a moment, he reached his free arm up to rub a thumb along her cheek, pulling her close with the other* Hey, hey. shhhh, its alright *wrapping his arms around her, he gave her a tight squeeze- well tight for him with feeling like s**t- and rubbed her back soothingly, resting his head on her shoulder, though he sounded tired still* Chloe, don't apologize. I wanted to be with you like this, it was my decision to shift. *he hated to see that his changing did this to her and he gave her neck a gentle kiss. He knew that he might not have too long before the next shift overtook him, but he'd savor every moment that he could hold her and that made him feel a fraction better* I'm so sorry I didn't move farther away so you didn't have to hear... *he dropped his gaze* I'll be sure to next time.
Chloe: - Chloe sniffled, hiding her face against his chest. She hated this so much. Why had it been Ethan and not her? If she could, she'd take it from him without a second thought. He didn't deserve this degree of pain just so that he could reach relief. Just so that he could be human again. Just so that he could live a semi-normal life, werewolf life aside. - No, it's not! You were in so much pain . . . you're still in pain, don't lie to me! And you're going to have to go through with it all over again and it's all my fault! - She shook her head. Ethan wouldn't have changed so soon until she'd prompted him to do so. He would've been more than happy to snuggle up and play nice wolf if she hadn't asked. She shivered, pulling him closer, but she felt . . . calmer. Ethan was just so darn tired too . . . She ran her fingers through his hair, holding him as close as possible. If he was only going to be human for a little while then she was going to do her best to make it comfy and happy. She had to calm down. Right. Now. She took a shaky deep breath and then pulled up to look at him. - Ethan, don't you dare. I don't care how close you are, I don't. I always knew it hurt. Even if I lost my leg, you'll always have to deal with this, and I figured that changing from a wolf to human couldn't be a picnic. - She cracked a shaky smile, pulling him closer and cradling him. -
Ethan: Chloe... *holding her tightly he nuzzled into her hair, trying to get a better grip and to wake up. * I won't lie then, shifting hurts, it always does and probably always will... Right now, yeah, it hurts, but I'm okay. I have you and that's all that matters to me. *for now. but his concern was all on her, not on the aches that wouldn't subside until he was in fur again.* But its not your fault. I was thinking about changing anyways, and you just helped me make up my mind. Just relax. *he kept on holding her, closing his eyes a bit at her running her hand through his hair... it felt so nice* But I could have saved you some worry... and you'll always have to deal with missing your leg so I could say the same. *giving her a lazy smile, he reached up to steal a small kiss from her* I don't think you really understand how much I love you Chloe, every bit of you. Say the word and I'd shift in a heartbeat if it made you happier, jump through any hoop just to get a laugh. Going through a bit of pain is nothing if I get to see you smile at the end of the day. *and that was really what it felt like compared to how it felt to be without her, he just wished he could find better phrasing. Slowly, he nestled his head against her* You're the reason I can keep so in control, you're my anchor to reality and I'm thankful to have someone so smart, strong, beautiful and all around amazing as you as my own... So don't blame yourself for anything, Chloe. Its my decision in the end and I know my limits.
Chloe: - Chloe huffed indiginantly. Well, if Ethan wasn't going to accept her cries if she said them out loud, then she would just have to find her own way of soothing the guilt that wouldn't subside until Ethan was comfortable and pain-free. Which he wasn't at this moment in time. She refused to ackowledge a word he'd said to her and busied herself getting him situated and avoided his eyes. She would not let him take the blame every single time something came up, because even if he'd been thinking about changing while they'd been in that clearing, he might've thought twice about it and decided against changing back so soon. This was her fault, and she'd be delusional before she let him try to blame this on himself once again. So she dropped the subject altogether. - It's getting better, though. I don't care about it as much. I don't have to worry about tripping up or to wonder if it'll stop working and I'll be stranded somewhere one-legged. - Her eyes flicked up to his, silently pleading with him to understand. - I can get over this. I am getting over this. But you'll always feel this much pain every time you change, and you'll always need to change every full moon. My pain is fading, but yours isn't. - She held him tightly against her. For once, she wanted to be the one to protect Ethan and guard him from the burdens of being a werewolf. Why wasn't she strong enough to help him when he needed it? She was speechless once he'd finished. She actually felt a bit guilty. How could she live up to Ethan's level of devotion? He really, truly loved her, and he proved it every day, but she couldn't think of a proper way to repay him for it and to prove she loved him just as much. When she tried to take the blame, he took it anyhow. When she tried to console him, he told her it was no big deal and that he was more worried about her. How the hell was she supposed to prove this to him? There was a small nagging voice in the back of her mind that told her exactly what she should do to prove this all to him, but how was she supposed to breach that? Especially when he was so weak? She shifted her weight nervously from side the side, clinging tightly to Ethan. She'd never, ever been the one to initiate things. She cautiously leaned forward and kissed him, slowly, but she felt so nervous. -
Ethan: *he couldn't help but raise a brow with a half smile at her huff. It was a small problem they faced, their stubbornness, but he didn't like how she avoided his eyes. She must have been continuing to blame herself, and it ate at him to know he couldn't change her mind. He always had the final say in his shifts, even with her prompting... but he paused, smiling slightly as he ran his hand along her back* We'll both live with the effects for as long as we live, its inescapable. But I always keep in mind there's two things more painful than these shifts.. the night that caused this, where I passed out... and being away from you is so much worse... though I'm not gonna lie, the first shift was worse than this... so it is getting a little better *not by much though, and he would have continued, but that pleading look in her eyes quickly shut him up as he nestled his head against her neck for a few moments after he finished, leaning back to scratch at his head with a lopsided smile* Just always keep that in mind, Chloe. *he would have never guessed her train of thought, just contented to tell her even if his body ached from head to toe. he was afraid to think of what it would be like without her by his side. Her shifting her weight left him canting his head, confused at what could be going through her mind and it completely caught him off guard at the kiss, but he quickly responded, tightening his hold on her with a smile, not wanting to break away*
Chloe: - She listened to him almost unwillingly. So maybe this was . . . neither of their faults? It was difficult to take, but she supposed that eventually the coddling would end and they would be on even ground. It was clear that even if Ethan was weakened physically, he hadn't been weakened mentally and absolutely refused to step down. This was where they hit the wall; they were equally stubborn. Thankfully, he decided to drop it as well with a comment about the night they'd both ended up the way they were today. - It's-true. - She sighed. She wouldn't try to break up his train of thought because she knew neither of them would agree and they'd just end up arguing. She would rather save his energy for . . . other things. Although he'd responded to her, she could tell he didn't understand the direction her mind was headed. She blushed furiously, pulling away and trying to look anywhere in case it might give her clues. What was she supposed to do now? Strip? But Ethan still had no clue what she was up to. And she sure as hell wasn't stripping him straight off the bat; he'd be so shocked he might overwork himself. Damn it! - Ethan . . . - She frantically tried to think up a way to phrase this that would make it sound really romantic, like she wanted it to. - Um . . . - She blushed even darker. - I mean, we've been dating for a really long time now, and, um - she risked a glance at him - I was thinking maybe we could . . . It's just, you care about me so much, I want to return the favor, so I was thinking maybe we could-take the next step? - She looked away, still blushing. -
Ethan: *he had to hold back the small sigh of relief that the argument didn't persist. That was something that neither of them were ever going to compromise on it seemed...but he wasn't going to let her take the blame for something like that. Besides, he was easily distracted by her unexpected kiss..and so was she apparently. She was distracted with... something, but he couldn't put his finger on it, especially as she broke away and looked around. What in the world could she have been planning... he kept quiet as she spoke, wondering just what was getting her to act like this.. and when he heard, he definately paused.* Chloe...*he smiled, glancing down at the ground for a few moments, though feeling like he looked like an idiot with the way he was smiling. That.. was the very last thing he expected, especially tonight.. but he was touched and he was drooling on the inside. Unwrapping an arm from around her waist, he went to her chin, pulling her back to look at him even as they both blushed and putting their foreheads together* As much as I want to pounce on that offer... and believe me, I'm holding myself back from kissing you into oblivion right now... I want to know, are you only doing this as a return of the favor or do you really want this? *he Truly hoped that it was more of a really wanting it. He knew she was shy and that she must have mustered alot of courage trying to say that, but he didn't want it to just be a repayment, but something truly wanted. He wasn't going to let her force something that she didn't truly want... no matter if he would beat himself up later if she did only want it as a repayment*
Chloe: - Chloe rsisted the urge to make up some excuse or another that would let her take back what she'd said. She was never the one to initiate things, just like Ethan would never suggest it either. The two of them settled comfortably into a niche and stayed there for the longest time. But peering up at him, she was relieved to see him smile. So relieved. He was happy about it then, right? He hadn't reacted at all like she'd expected him to behave after she suggested it, but it was nice to know he was considerate enough to think about her place in all of this, even if it was heartfelt. - This is something I really want to do. You care so much about me and you show me all the time. Now it's my turn to show you. - She smiled nervously at him. -
Ethan: *that shy smile had left him grinning like a fool, how could he not with her so close and taking the initiative. He had thought of moving their relationship along before, but never knew how to broach the topic, more so with his change... but with her sitting infront of him and offering this? He was astounded.* You show how much you care just by sticking by my side through this werewolf ordeal...But you've made me so happy by doing this *smiling to her warmly, all sorts of nervous himself, he hesitantly brought his hand behind her head for a kiss. It was sweet, though slightly shakey compared to his other ones and his brain still had a hint of fog from the shift, but even with some of the ache, he'd overcome it to make sure this was perfect.... this was one time he really couldn't mess up. Breaking the kiss for a moment, he kept close as he smiled* Anything you'd... er...like me to do? Or anywhere you'd prefer to be? *he definately wasn't the kind to really talk about this kind of stuff, even if he was male...Again, he wanted it perfect.*
Chloe: - She was pleased. She'd decided to take things into her own hands for once, and she'd gotten what she wanted. He was even happy to do so. She snuggled up against him, grinning. For some reason this closeness, which had never made her shy before, made her blush furiously. How was it that just suggesting it brought along a whole new set of emotions? She enjoyed the kiss, shaky as it was. It was sweet; he was nervous, just like she was.. She'd always assumed Ethan was the one who could handle this sort of thing, but apparently he was just as unsure as she was. Adorable. This would bring them to a whole new level in their relationship, but once again she hit a wall. What sort of stuff was she expected to do? She got the gist of it, but the details were vague. She'd always been with Ethan, and they'd never done this before. - Er, uh . . . - She blushed furiously, but it was a good question. Where were they going to go? Her parents would kill her, and she wasn't sure if his mom and dad would welcome this change with open arms either. But a hotel seemed impersonal and weird. But that left very few options. - I, uh, I dunno. I mean, do you have anywhere in mind. I don't know where we could go . . . - She blushed and bit her lip. She hadn't throught this through very well. -
Ethan: *he was cautious... he knew that even under his smiles, he had to be extremely careful. More than the thought he was going to hurt her from... er, the act... but he had to keep himself in control. No claws or teeth allowed to even to begin to pop out, especially when she was doing so much for him. Running his fingers through her hair, he was still nervous even if he knew he was going to take the lead.. but he didn't need to seem like a pro when it was both their first time. Considering the thought, he gave a small glance around* Well... there's here...private, but I don't want you catching a chill... but we could possibly go by my place....Even if we can't get into the house...though that would be if my family took the ladder down... I have some sheets and junk stashed away in the shed and both my room and that have locks on the inside. *which shoulded oh so romantic. He should totally bring candles, the thought was a bit sarcastic, but it was better than being interrogated by her parents... or hung for even thinking of taking their relationship to that level. It wouldn't suprise him that, if the mob ever came for him, her parents would be towards the front. But, looking on the bright side, maybe his precautions for shifting would be beneficial to them* And on the way..we could stop by the store or something *he lifted a hand and ran it through his hair, dropping his gaze with a blush* for, er.. protection...
Chloe: - She smiled hesitantly. Her place was out, and as much as she loved nature now that she was beginning to get over her fear of the woods, it sounded cold and dirty if they did it out here, especially since sometimes kids took a route through the woods that came close to here and she couldn't imagine the utter shock those kids would receive and their humiliation if they were caught in the act by someone's little children. And then her parents would find out and she and Ethan would be as good as dead anyway. - I do love the outdoors, but, ah, there's a path a little ways away from here the connects this street and another one. Most of the time people don't go down it, but I think we should someplace more private . . . ? - She didn't want to sound like a complete and total wimp, but it would be a real risk and she didn't want to go through that kind of humiliation, especially her first time. Maybe if she got gutsy later on, but she doubted it. She loved children, she didn't want to scar them like that. - So maybe we could try your room? - She blushed at the thought. From now on she knew she wouldn't be able to be in his room and not be nervous from now on, but it seemed like the best bet. It was nice in there, and she'd spent plenty of time cuddling with him, so it would be familiar. They just had to make sure his parents didn't interrupt. Locks. Yes, locks would work. She blushed again. If she kept it up, maybe her face would turn permanently red? - Oh, yeah, we should go get some of . . . that . . . - And wherever they stopped, she'd be sure her parents never visited in the next six months. They shouldn't find out about this until the time came. She hated going behind their backs like this, but it needed to happen or else her parents, protective as they were, would bring out the torches and pitch forks. - So then we should, uh, get going then? - She hobbled up on her good leg and offered Ethan her hand. This was much more awkward than she had imagined it, but it would still mean the same. - Although I think sometime in the next month or so we should probably tell my parents. They'd hate it even more if we didn't tell them. But that doesn't mean we have to tell them right away. - She reached up on her tiptoes to give him a peck on the lips and try to find her way to the path before a dilemma came up in her mind. - Ah, Ethan . . . ? You're not really wearing a lot of, uh, clothing.
Ethan: *he could see some of the wheels moving in her head, even past her constant blush on her face. She probably didn't even realize how cute that made her look. Glancing back towards the way she she showed, he gave a small nod.* Private sounds perfect... *he actually hadn't even thought of anyone coming out this way.. though he should have. Even if he had been safe during his change, being found this way might be a bit more troublesome. Thankfully, his parents were perfectly fine with his room locked up.. he had to share what was going on to keep them safe and although they were scared, they kept his secret safe and made sure everything would be accomodating to his shifting* Then we can make a stop there before we get to my house...Don't worry, Chloe, I wouldn't ask you to hide anything from them, they're your parents. But can I have a bit of time to get a suit of armor? They're going to want my hide for this *not that he cared, he was pretty ecstatic to actually be taking the next step with the girl he loved. He just hoped they wouldn't resort to drastic measures to keep him away.* Sounds good... Well, at least I got my shoes and a shirt off before I shifted *he gave a small laugh, pushing himself off the ground so he wouldn't through her off balance. Glancing down, he looked at the holes and tears on his pants... eh... there wasn't much that could be done for those, but at least his underwear wasn't showing. Smiling against her lips, he glanced down after a moment* Yeah... its halloween, they're not going to think much of my attire. *he didn't mind, not that he knew anything about condoms past glancing at them every now and again.. but he didn't think she could actually go in herself... well, not that she couldn't, but he could she her just embarass herself and stress herself out over it. Stepping over towards where they first sat, he glanced around, looking for a shirt and shoes. He was a little shakey for just getting up, and there was that ever present ache, but he was determined to ignore it. Pulling it over his head and stepping back to her, taking her hand.
Chloe: Good. Then private it is. Or will be. - She smiled sweetly in his direction. He had to be the sweetest, most considerate person she knew, and only because he was her boyfriend and blamed herself for the injuries done to her that night. But for the first in what felt like a very long time, she honestly didn't care what had happened to her then. She was with her boyfriend, the guy who'd stuck by her side through thick and thin and protected her, overly so, from every possible threat that came her way. He'd been supportive even when she'd been a total b***h to him, unsure of herself and where they stood, and lovingly made her life better. Now she finally had the chance to give him something, somethin special to the both of them. They'd both been together ever since they'd started high school, and she'd be darned before she let any other girl get close to him and vice verse. She just hoped she could live up to the magnitude of tonight. And the thing she feared the most? That she'd be afraid of showing him her bad leg. It seemed ridiculous, but it was her worst trait and she hated even looking at it, enough so that she'd tossed every skirt, every dress, every pair of shorts she owned in the trash. - Ethan . . . My bad leg doesn't bother you right? It won't bother you when we're-you know. - She couldn't keep the fearful at the end of the sentence, but she really truly hated it. She could only hope he wouldn't despise it as much as she did. - Are you sure that you don't mind. They're going to be really touchy. And probably ask you five million questions. They're going to be so worried . . . - She hadn't thought Ethan would risk this so soon. Humor aside, her parents worried about her and her mental health every day. She was worried they wouldn't let them, even though they'd already thought ahead. She took a deep breath and steadied herself. She had to do this. She couldn't go behind their backs. She had to tell them first. - Alright. I can-I can do this first. Promise me you'll be on your best behavior? And, uh, try not the mention mobs. They might not find that funny given the circumstances. - She'd have to play on their adoration of him after he'd protected her so valiantly. - Well fine, then. Do you wanna stop their first or get to my parents?
Ethan: I can't wait *he said with what nearly could be described as a purr to his voice. Yeah, he was tired, but this was a special gift she was giving him, and he loved every bit of it... even if they were stumbling thorugh it just a bit...But that what the first time was for. He wanted to make everything perfect for her, to make everything as good as he possibly good for her, in not only the sex, but in general. He wanted to make sure that she had everything he could possibly do for her... Though sadly this want turned into the coddling, but he was working on it. Her question caught him off guard and giving her a light smile, he shook his head* Chloe, it doesn't bother me a bit. I told you, I love every bit of you, and your bad leg is included in it. *running a hand along her side, he leaned down to give her nose a light kiss.* Even if you weren't born with it, and even if you think its ugly, its a part of you and I won't mind it *he could tell she worried about that, he had definately noticed when she stuck to wearing pants all the time. He couldn't tell how much she disliked it, but she didn't need to feel insecure around him. He loved her to death and nothing would change that.*he'd steal her way anyways if they had a problem with him.. but it wasn't as though he abused her. He did everything in his ability to make her feel happy and secure* I don't mind talking to them, Chloe. At this point, I'm afraid that they're going to hate me for stealing you away.. but such is life. *he gave a small nod* I'm always on my best behavior, only exception is when assholes are hitting on you right infront of me *smiles slightly, still feeling proud of scaring him away.. but he blinked* Um. . . Do I look decent enough to talk to them? *he gave a pointed look towards his pants especially. Walking into a store is one thing, but talking to her parents?...*
Chloe: - That blush was definitely going to be permanently staining her cheeks for the rest of her life if he kept it up. She was easily embarassed, but then she had to quietly ask herself why it was embarassing. She'd been with Ethan for a good few years. It was only by some miracle that this had never happened before, because she knew full well that many of her friends had already reached this point with their boyfriends of only half a year. How had they avoided this for so long? She doubted she'd be able to string together a coherrent response to that statement, but tried to anyhow. - I-I-I'm loo-oking for-ward to it-t too~ - And she was right. She looked away, avoiding his gaze so that she wouldn't have to see his amusement. He sounded so happy, but why wasn't she adopting the same sultry tone to her voice? It was enough to make her pout. She smiled, the blush broken for a millisecond of relief. He didn't care about her leg. What a relief. She leaned into him for a quick cuddle and a peck on the cheek. God she loved him. - Thank you. - She couldn't have gone through with it without his reassurance. - I guess they're just going to have to get used to it. They know you're a good influence. Better than good. Fantastic. You're probably what's kept me sane through all of this. And safe, too, but I guess they don't know how much protection I need. - Her parents didn't know that Ethan was a werewolf or that the animals that had attacked them that night were werewolves too. She'd kept them in the dark for their own safety. She felt like having them know about her predicament would keep them up at night, and she wanted them to relax and enjoy life, not fear the creatures that waited for her on the full moon. She examined his attire, cocked her head to the side, then hesitantly nodded. It wasn't like they had much choice. - I mean, we can't exactly stop anywhere, and it is Halloween after all. We'll just tell them it's a part of your costume but it tore . . . somewhere.
Ethan: He definately wasn't being intentionally being like that, truly he wasn't.. but it made him so happy to see what she was willing to do for them. Sure, he had seen their friends go thorugh relationships, but none of theirs had lasted as long as his and chloe's. They had faced so much in the time they had spent together..and it would make the night all the better. He grinned to her as she forced it out, kissing her on the forehead. He couldn't help but think that was adorable, he never would be, even if she thought so.* There's not a single reason for you to thank me, Chloe, its just the truth. *heck, he'd love her even if that damn wolf had done more, though he was forever thankful it didn't! Point being, it didn't matter. He loved her for her,and he loved every little thing she did.. like that cuddle. Wrapping his arm around her lightly he gave her a quick hug, returning the kiss* I never thought of myself as a good influence... *heck, he didnt really think much of himself.. it was easier not to.. Though he did a little self examinatory as he looked to his clothes... he looked like a hobo on the bottom and.. well, decent on te top.. his shirt was a bit ripped...* I, uh, fell in a jaggar bush and lucked out that I didn't get cut up along with my clothes... *he was decent at coming up at excuses, though they'd never win any prizes for creativity. He held back a sigh, trying not to look like he could start dreading the questioning as he tightened his hold on her.. though he did let go to grab up their bags, frowning at the small pain that shot through him. Tonight was going to be interesting...* Ready for another birds and the bees talk? We might need to run out if they have a pitchfork sharpened with my name on it... |D
Chloe: - She shivered. It was getting late, and as great as this night had turned out partly because of it, the costume was very thin, made of some cheap fabric that let in all of the wind. She tugged him along on the way to her house, a way she'd memorized years ago because she had always taken this route to get home. She'd never been big on crowds. - Then you've clearly underestimated yourself. I wouldn't be nearly as confident today if it weren't for you, you know that? I know you don't buy it, but I always thought you got the short end of the bargain, being a werewolf and all. But you always managed to make it through, so I thought that if you could do it - she leaned up a kissed him again - then why couldn't I? It might just be enough for them to let us do this.- She shifted from side to side bashfully. It was nice for once for someone to say, truthfully, that they loved every part of her. She nodded thoughtfully. Her parents might be psychologists, but they always wanted to see the best in people they knew. Ethan included, boyfriend or not. - It's weak, but they'll buy it. - she teased, playfully nudging his shoulder. She snatched her csndy bad from him, the treats nearly forgotten anyway, and slung it over her shoulder. - Don't worry, they're not expecting it. They normally don't sharpen any weapons. Well, at least no around me . . . - She snicked, leading the way. - I guess I can handle the birds and the bees. But I want to get out of there as fast as possible, before they make this very unappealing for me.
Ethan: *blinking down at her, he pulled her tighter against himself at her shiver. It didn't bother him as much, one of the few upsides to his change... he just wished that he had brought a real shirt to offer her.. but the shirt he had didn't do anything for him and he doubted her parents would. Keeping close, he happily was lead along the path.* I think you could have built up your confidence some how.. *it was for the sake of argument, knowing full well that she'd never change her mind and he wouldn't believe it himself. but she easily distracted him with the kiss, pulling back with a wide smile* You're the strongest person I've ever met, Chloe.... but if that reasoning works on your parents, I'm all for it.. *though there was the thought that it wasn't as though he was some random punk stealing their little girl away. They had dated years and he had always tried his hardest to be there for her whenever he could... sure, there was a little stumbling after the attack, but they had stuck through it and it showed how deep their relationship was. He'd do anthing for her* Weak? That's better than I thought it sounded *he laughed, squeezing her hand with a smile as she snatched her candy back* Normally? What if tonight they decided it needed a good ol' sharpening, just for old times sake cause you aren't around? It could be a trap *he grinned, nodding lightly* Yes, fast is better... but don't let them do that do you. We both want this.. They might try their hardest to make it unappealing, but with the want there, they can't stop us forever. *even if they were able to stall it for tonight, he'd never push it. He knew how much she loved her parents and they her, but it wasn't their relationship to control.*
Chloe: - She snuggled up against Ethan for warmth and comfort. This was all so confusing. Here she'd been thinking it would be some random, spur of the moment, romantic decision and with it came all these embarassing and telling things she had to do; tell her parents and get their permission, pray his parents didn't interrupt later, buy condoms with Ethan ( as if this wouldn't spread around town faster than wildfire ). But at least if they were off the bat truthful she wouldn't have to worry about her parents catching word of it before she could get around to it. She snorted - Says the boyfriend who denies ever having a hand in anything. Ever. - She smiled and bumped shoulders affectionately. - You'd better go with it or else I'm not sure how we're going to win this argument; "This is my werewolf boyfriend Ethan. We're planning on having sex tonight whether you say yes or not. Hope you don't mind." If I bring it in, they can't say no. They can moan and groan, but they can't say no. It's perfect. So run with it. - She laughed, the noise echoing around her and scaring off little animals all around. - Ah, but I'd be back . . . hopefully. They wouldn't sharpen them unless they knew you were coming. Which they didn't. Just be aware this comes with some danger, though, sweetie. - she mocked, playfully petting his shoulder in mock sympathy. She didn't want to admit it, but . . . - Oh, you know I want it bad. - The whole, embarassing truth of it. - So I guess they're not going to have any grip on me.
Ethan: *holding her close, he couldn't think of a single thing, better, even if he had to brace himself to talk to her parents. How was he even supposed to do that? Her parents were the only issue... his knew to leave him alone tonight at the very least with the shifts. It was strange, even though he had the nagging pain coursing through him, he didn't really care. He had a goal, to make tonight wonderful for her... though he was slightly afraid that he wouldn't be able to stay the whole night with her... he didn't know how long he could fight it with a ful moon... But she was his priority and the only thing keeping him on two legs. Says the boyfriend who's right. *he said with a grin, it turning into a lopsided smile* Now that is a winning argument there. Not only would they get even more pitchforks, but they'd probably drag you away to somewhere with an electric fence around it to keep me up.... but I'll do whatever you think will work. *he smiled, shaking his head at the thought of her actually saying that... he was mildly concerned about having to risk telling her parents of his nature down the road, but for now... he figured doing things that would in their favor would be in their best interest. His head immediately lifted at the sound of the animals fleeing, a part of his wolfish nature that he couldn't quite shake* You're worth the danger, sweetheart, though I don't find the idea of having a pitchfork impale my a** a pleasant one. *he shook his head, where did the pitchfork thing come from again?.. but her next thought left him smiling down to her, leaning in with his tone light* Bad, huh? *not gonna let that opportunity slide, he smiled leaning down to steal a small kiss. A light blush returned to his cheeks.. he wanted it pretty badly too* I'm glad you see it like that.
Chloe: - She could feel the slight tension coming off him in waves, but Ethan didn't seem to care in the least about it. She figured it must have something to do with his changing too soon, too fast. Was he forgetting about the pain because of her idea? It perked her up for the oncoming battle significantly. If she could face down Ethan's nature, then she could certainly persuade her mom and dad that this was a good thing. Better than good. Fantastic. And she was sure that with her current mindset that she could persuade his parents it she needed to, too. Not that she would . . . His knew about the effects of the full moon . . . She shot him a look, playfully scorning him. - You give yourself no credit. You have more of a hand in my recovery than you think. So there. - She poked his chest as if to accentuate her point and grinned. - Oh, but they would only think of pitchforks if they knew you were a werewolf. Which they don't. So unless they're comparing my boyfriend to the Big Bad Wolf without even realizing it . . . - She paused, considering. - Actually, they might just do that. They love catagorization. You're probably another manila envelope in the drawers. They're assessing your potential as a husband as we speak. - She shuddered. - Now that's a scary thought. - She blushed, leaning up on her tiptoes to enjoy it. Why hadn't she thought of this before? Clearly her past self was an idiot. As she thought that, she peered up the road at the blazing lights in the grand two story home only a hundered feet away. She leaned up to kiss him again. - For good luck. - She explained. She squeezed his hand reassuringly before she started up the way to the house. -End Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf Part 2

Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf Part 3 - Time skip - Chloe: - She sat facing her parents who stood proud and tall in front of her, hands on their hips, assessing the problem they faced. Their daughter. Their little girl. Having sex with Ethan? Already? She nearly scoffed at the last part. There was nothing hurried about this. She was enjoying just relaxing and focusing on winning this argument. She just had to make sure they didn't scare Ethan out of it. -
Ethan: *Well, there were no pitchforks yet.. though that wasn't saying that there wasn't going to be with that look they were giving him. He sat calmly, watching their reaction and trying to gauge how irked they were at him for actually asking permission when other teens wouldn't have done so. The "already" part made him pause. Already? There were other teens losing their virginity after dating for a month, and they had been together years.* I know this seems nearly like a fast step *fast step, his a**, but he kept his tone mild, keeping close to Chloe. He wasn't afraid, persay, but more worried that they would be trying to delay the inevitable at every turn* but I love Chloe with all my heart and I cherish every second that I have with her. We've been together a long time, been through alot, and I don't believe that its wrong of us to take that next step... and I have every intention of using protection anytime in the future *just so he had that base covered*
Chloe: - She sent pleading eyes up at her parents, the same look she tended to give them when she really wanted something. It usually worked, too, except this time they were making a point to focus almost entirely on Ethan. - I know it seems like we weren't really heading in this direction so quickly, but we're finally ready to take this step. You both know how much he means to me, and how much we've been through together. Maybe we didn't plan this ahead of time for weeks or anything like that, but I really feel like I'm ready to take this step. - Her parents were still, not sure how to take this news. On one hand, how could they let their little girl grow up? On the other, it was clear she was happy with him. Difficult decisions. -
The Parents: - They couldn't believe their ears. Were they asking-permission? It was mature of them, of course, but they also posed the risk of being told no. What then? They eyed up Ethan, avoiding Chloe who was using every tactic she knew to persuade them into this. He'd always been a nice boy, sweet, devoted to Chloe. But how could this turn have come already? It'd completely blindsided them. - And what are your intentions for Chloe after this? If something does go wrong? Are you going to stick around if it does? Have you ever done this before? - They asked question after question after question, endless what-ifs. -
Ethan: *And there were the much anticipated twenty questions. Oh the excitement. Stoning himself, he canted his head slightly* Intentions? That makes it seem as though I have wicked plottings for her. *but he shook his head* My only intentions are to do everything in my power to make her happy in life and give her the love she deserves. *And keep her safe, but he wasn't going to say much more than that. He'd be anything she wanted him to be, and maybe way down the road, there was the possibility of more.. but he didn't want them to start going on about him having that thought already.* On the off chance that something may happen... well I'm obviously going to stick by her side no matter what. If there was an accident, then I'd love that child just as much as I love your daughter, and she already means the world to me... *how else could he even begin to say it? Though he knew for a fact that he would be extremely cautious when it came to the thought of children.. he never wanted to pass along his pain.* And no, I haven't done this before.. This would be both of our first times, and that's something I've wanted to share with Chloe.
Chloe: - She nodded fervently at everything that Ethan said. He sounded so sincere, and she knew she was not the one who the questions were directed at. They assumed that as their child she would behave like a good girl. It was Ethan's thoughts they worried over. She took hold of his hand for comfort, squeezing his hand every so often and leaning against him for subtle cuddle time. - I know you still see me as your little girl, but I'm not anymore, and neither is Ethan. We're older, and after what happened, what we had only got stronger . . . - She sighed in content. She thought she'd never see the day she looked on that day as a good thing. - And we've finally gotten to this point. It was always assumed that if we were old enough and mature enough that we would do this, and, well . . . I guess that time's come. - She leaned up to give him a kiss and a smile. -
The Parents: - Mom and dad were clearly considering Ethan's sincerity. They'd seen many patients, knew when they were lying, when they were denying the reality of their situation. They couldn't see that in either Chloe or Ethan. Just two teens in love who'd gone through so much together that they could barely be separated a day without worrying. It was difficult to swallow. They paused, considering what to do next. They didn't want to make Chloe choose between the two things that made her the happiest; Ethan and them, and they wouldn't. But while they were on the topic of accidents . . . - So! - Chloe's mom piped up cheerfully, practically bouncing on her heels like a child. It made Chloe nervous and she could see what was coming. Her dad say by in stoic silence, a small smirk playing on his lips. He clearly considered this her mom's job, although he shot pointed glances at Ethan, as if he should take notes. - The birds and the bees! - And Chloe's mom went into waaaay more detail than she felt necessary at the time. -
Ethan: *was he saying the right thing? was he setting the right tone? What else could he do but tell the truth? He couldn't tell as he said his piece, watching their reactions and every once in awhile, trying to catch a whiff of their feelings... they definitely didn't give much away, though he did sense their worry over his taking Chloe.* I think she's right, and you don't have to worry. I always take her wants and needs above my own, and her safety above all else. *smiling down at Chloe, he gave her hand a squeeze in return. If her parents knew just what that keeping her safe entailed.. well, he probably wouldn't be sitting here now. They could face anything, whether it was werewolves or asking permission, he'd do his best always, only for her. Leaning in, he returned the kiss, keeping it light in front of her parents... though he nearly jumped at her sudden pipping up, the jumping and enthusiasm.. No, they couldn't... He had to stifle a groan, keeping a smile on his face as she exclaimed. He felt her father's eyes on him, and he was determined to listen. But it was so hard not to zone out like he had in health class... one of the few problems with being a good student, he didn't always listen to the lectures, he learned everything from the book... but he forced himself to look interested, to stay alert so they wouldn't find him disrespectful. The details... why did they have to go into such detail when they had been in health class before? Waiting for her to finish, he gave a light smile, slipping his arm lightly around Chloe.* That was very informative, and I'll take everything you said into consideration
Chloe: - She peered cautiously up at Ethan. He was doing great, she could almost see her parents wavering, his determination and care winning them over. She missed the sweet comment he'd made. Her parents overeager enthusiasm, as if they'd just found out how to squash their plans . . . It couldn't be. Could it? As they started off, Chloe leaned up against Ethan and focused on anything other than what the two of them were saying. If she knew her parents, and she hoped she did by now, they would be adding as much explicit detail into this as possible. It was their last defense. - If we get through this - she whispered - then they'll probably let us go soon. They don't have much up their sleeves other than this. If they can't gross us out, then they'll surrender. At least I've heard this a billion times already. - Her parents kept her very well informed on this, especially after she'd started to take her relationship with Ethan seriously. It had dropped off after the incident, like they thought that because of her leg she wouldn't let anyone in, and they were using this to make up for lost time. She didn't even bother pretending she was listening, but she could see Ethan was trying his best to look attentive. Her father clearly approved as her mother took the lead. Once her mother's descriptions came to a close, Chloe stood up, taking the initiative once Ethan proved to them all that it didn't bother him. Her parents looked uncertain, but there was some approval in there for once. - Well, we'll keep it in mind tonight, 'kay? I promise I'll be extra careful. Er, we'll be extra careful, right? I'm bringing my cell phone, but please don't call unless it's really an emergency. And if it's off, uh, call the house, I guess. Let's go!
Ethan: *was there drool coming out of his mouth? He sure hoped not as he continued to force himself to listen to her parents talk.... so much worse than health class. But he glanced down to her with a light smile, holding himself back from nodding* How did you make it through this multiple times? You're so strong *and he gave her hand a light squeeze. They wouldn't get him to back down from this. They wanted it.. and even sitting through the birds and the bees for the umpteenth time. Thankfully, his pretending to listen seemed to be working, his eyes flickered to Chloe's father having some approval as his mother drew to a close. Standing up after Chloe, he gave them a warm smile. They needed to get out of there before anything else was thought of to add in the conversation.* We'll be extra careful, rest assured.... Have a nice evening, and don't worry, I'll keep everything you said in mind and she'll have her phone with her.... Bye *and with that, he was pretty much grabbing her up and walking a decent speed towards the door. He had to motivate himself not to grab up Chloe and run before they changed his mind, but he couldn't ruin it by running out. But walking out the door, he gave a light wave to them* You'll get a call in the morning... So don't worry... *and as soon as he made it out of the door, he leaned in and gave Chloe a kiss, running his thumb along her cheek as he grinned down at her, a laugh in his voice* We made it through the birds and the bees!
Chloe: - She snickered. This part she had seen coming. Her parents had almost contemplated their options as soon as she'd started dating. Probably even before then. If they looked put out because Ethan was sort of paying attention and not fleeing the house because of their very graphic, very detailed description, they hid it well. Thankfully she only had to sit through another few minutes or so. - They usually don't bring this up. They prefer to bring it up as a last resort. They think it's tacky. - They booked it out of there before her parents could think of another torture that would keep them from doing what they planned to tonight. It was their mission. She saw her mother open her mouth to say something, and probably not something encouraging, as Ethan stood up. They beat them to the door. Of course, her mother could never walk out without adding something to make this sound so much more embarrassing. - Have fun! Don't forget to ue protection! - She almost laughed. Almost. Her blush beat her to it. She leaned into the kiss, enjoying their victory. Her parents were alright with it. She didn't have to worry about getting their approval anymore. They were on the home stretch Yes! She laughed. - We did! Ah, how did we do it? They've been saving that one up forever. - She laughed again, snuggling into Ethan. -
Ethan: *Did they think that all this, no matter how graphic, would scare him off? They had another thing closer. They probably wanted him to flee out of the door by now, but their lecturing would be the last thing to keep him from Chloe.* Tacky? I would have never guessed *he tried to suppress the urge to roll his eyes. But thankfully, the torture was over and, ever pleasant, he said his goodbyes. Nope, not stopping him for an instant, and it was probably best to get out before they changed their minds. He shook his head at her final, encouraging addition. Of course he wouldn't forget, and holding Chloe close as they fled in victory, he felt amazing and he happily lingered on that kiss. It was a moment to celebrate and it left him with a slight purr to his voice, no matter how wolfish he could be. No more worrying over that, and he wasn't going to wait long enough to ask his parents.... he'd get the talk later, but now, it was time they set out to enjoy their evening. There wasn't time to lose before * Pure determination and love, Chloe. There was nothing they could do to stop us... not including a flat out no...*coughs, glancing away with a grin and a slight flush as he puts his chin on her head for a moment to hide the slight flush* But... um, let's get to the store before they close and beat feet to my house. *he might have seemed rushed, but he hid it pretty well. He wanted to spend every moment he could with Chloe before he was forced into another change...and thankfully, being with her helped him more than he could imagine...*
Chloe: - Giddy with relief, she swung their entwined hands between them. It was over. Finally! She didn't even care if his parents got cold feet because she knew they couldn't possibly compare to her parents' level of concern and cunning. They'd thrown every tactic straight out of the book and then some and hadn't deterred them. - So do you think your parents are going to be concerned too? Do we have to go through the talk a second time? - She didn't want to waste any more time than was necessary reassuring their parents, but she wouldn't deny Ethan the right to tell them and get their approval first. If she had to, she would endure the talk part two and be just as sweet as Ethan had been to her parents when he'd endured their concern. Score! - Were you going to go that far if you had to? - She somehow doubted it. Ethan was a good boy; she couldn't imagine seeing him steal her away after her parents outright refused to let them. - You know I love you, right? With all of my heart? All of it? - She blushed too and looked away. Ugh, the cashier would be awful, she would already tell. This was the last thing on their list, unless she had to talk to Ethan's parents, but she would make that as short and sweet as possible. She started heading in that direction. The store was only a short walk from her house and was between her house and Ethan's. This would be short and sweet. -
Ethan: *walking close, following the swinging of her hand, he was truly tempted to just break out into a run and howl in victory. They did it! But he shook his head at the mention of his parents* We can talk to them in the morning, I don't want to waste any more of tonight.. *he smiled as he brought their entwined hands to his lips, kissing the back of her hand. He might have to be in fur the rest of tomorrow for holding tonight off, but it would be completely worth it* Besides, my parents are pretty lenient compared to yours... *anyone could be lenient compared to hers, but he stifled, smiling* They just want to see me happy and they know that if anything happens, I have to deal with the consequences myself... Not that anything will go wrong. Tonight's going to be great. *he blinked, pausing a beat before giving her a lopsided smile* I would happily come into your window and steal you away into the night... but if they tried to stop me, I'd just keep working on them. Let them inspect the condoms, get tested and show them I'm completely clean, get on my knees and beg... that kind of thing. *he grinned, joking, but he was mildly afraid he would have to jump through some flaming hoops to appease them* I know, Chloe.. its just as much as I love you *smiling at her blush, he gave her hand a comforting squeeze as they continued towards the store. He had to say, he loved how close she lived and how close the store was.* If you'd like, I could run in myself? *he had to offer, to spare her some possible embarrassment or the possibility of seeing someone they knew... though it wasn't like they couldn't make their own assumptions if they saw him getting them, but it spared her blushing several shades of scarlet and from them both over analyzing the condom section of the store*
Chloe: If you say so, Casanova. I'm not taking the blast when they found out we did it first, asked second. Maybe if we add that we at least asked my parents. But if they're nicer, I guess we could get away with it . . . - It was already fading from the forefront of her mind. The upcoming plans for tonight were so close, almost within reach. There was only one last obstacle in their path. She swore to herself that she was going to start planning ahead and get birth control too, because she was pretty sure this wouldn't be their last time. Ethan liked this idea too much, and if there were this many people in the world, their had to be some motive behind it. She snorted. - Don't you mean everyone is lenient compared to my parents? No on is safe. Especially not you. I'm afraid you're far from the safe zone. - She laughed. Darn it, she'd ended up with very strict parents by comparison. - Fine, but don't blame me if they make you swear on your grandmother's grave or something. - She refused to believe his parents would be so lax. Were hers really that strict? But now that she thought about it, they probably were. Probably. - You'd better be true to that promise. I'm holding you to it. - She smirked and kissed his cheek. - I don't know if they'd go that far. They let us go, didn't they? - She couldn't promise about afterwards, though. - I'll suck it up and go in with you. After all, we've been a couple for awhile. They all know what it's for no matter which one of us it is. There's no point.
Ethan: Casanova? How am I a casanova when I've only been with you? *he smiled, shaking his head* Fine, we can talk to the parentals if they're home but we should keep it short.... I don't think I could live through another birds and the bees *faking a shudder, he grinned down to her. He didn't want to wait for his parents approval, he had more freedom considering and they were pretty excepting.. he didn't expect anything too drawn out... though a benefit would be them possibly leaving the house...That idea had some merit at least* A hundred year old tree is more leniant than your parents at times.... but they didn't throw a pitchfork at my head this time, so I'm not going to complain....though the swearing on my grandmother's grave might have to wait awhile, she'd probably get mad at the thought of her grave being sworn on before she's even in it *he laughed, too amused. He didn't get to see his grandma much, but she was a lively thing, even if she was an old, tenacious fart and he loved her to bits. Leaning down, he returned the kiss. He knew his smile wasn't going to leave his face for quite sometime, the feelings of victory and excitement overwhelming.* You never know what they'd do, it never hurts a guy to expect the worst. *pulling her closer, he leaned down to steal a kiss on the lips, a sweet one, but he pulled away with a faint grin* If you say so, Lil' Red, I just wanted to offer it to you....*He wondered how Monday at school was going to turn out, especially with the million questions they might just face... he didn't care, it was none of their business what he and Chloe did. His concern was how she would feel...but the thought was put aside as the store came into view. Oh how the time flies sometimes...* Ready for some shopping?
Chloe: No, no, you don't have to be like that to be a-you know what, nevermind. - She rolled her eyes at him and flounced down the path, trailing ahead of him as they made their way to the store. - Finally! You gave! I was wondering when that would happen. They deserve to know too. You never know, maybe they'll do something awesome for us. Like buy these stupid-things. - She couldn't even bring herself to say the word without blushing like a maniac. She probably resembled a cardinal, as red as she was. She chuckled to herself. A bird. Just like the talk they might have to revisit again. Ugh. - You never know. They could be leading the angry mob our way and they're just keeping quiet. This is the only place in town that sells protection. They must be hiding in the trees. - She mockingly peered into the darkened parts of the forest, as if looking for intruders or her parents' search party in the process of ambushing them, but then she looked up at him again, cracking a smile. - Looks like the coast is clear. No mobs to rain on our parade. - She put her hand over her mouth. - Oops. Guess I'll have to apologize whenever I see her. - She slid safely into the comfort of his arms and snuggled in there. - Unless you're looking at my parents. They can spot weakness quicker than any werewolf. Er, no offense intended. - She blushed nervously up at him, but reminded herself that tonight she was going to be confident. Everything she'd wanted to be since the incident. She peered at the store and clutched at his arm, bracing herself for whatever might come and stepped inside without answering. Contrary to what she'd thought, nobody bombarded them with accusations when they stepped foot in the door. The man at the counter barely woke up from his late-night nap on duty. Lazy bum. She stopped and examined the labels on the aisles. Where the heck were they supposed to find this stuff? -
Ethan: *chuckles* I'd rather think that we'd just have to go into hiding for the next century, rather than them kill us. We're creative enough to escape them and the mobs, right? *shrugs a bit as he glances at some of the merchandise* Crafty is such a vague word... they can be considered crafty in their own right, but I'd prefer to think of them as devious... having their own little ways to make you squirm *not saying he didn't love them buttt it got old pretty quickly... but their tactics were pretty easy to catch onto* Careful doesn't keep them from hearing them I think you could easily live up to it, Chloe, though we can take turns every now and again *grins, chuckling lightly* Like you? They'll adore you. There's no one in their right mind that wouldn't *pausing, he canted his head, looking back to her* You don't have to, but it would be nice if you accompanied me *smiles a bit* Besides, you're just as knowledgable as I am here, maybe we can find something good together *it didn't bother him, though he didn't expect her to question looking with him. Glancing down the isle, he smiled, letting her hand go incase she wanted to browse* Looks like we got the right isle on the first try too, so its up to you.
Chloe: - Chloe rubbed her chin as if in deep thought. - Well, I'd like to say we could outsmart them, but I don't know; they are psychologists. They've analyzed every part of my life in great detail. But maybe, just maybe, if we work together we could confuse them long enough for them to calm down. - She grinned conspiratorialy at him. Who knew? His parents couldn't have looked over him with near as much zeal as her parents watched over her; as if it was a test, or a fun puzzle. Of course, Chloe never found it nearly as amusing. The "comfy chair" only worked for so long. She barked a laugh, then snuggled up to him. She'd met the Morrisons a couple of times, and she couldn't say for him what his parents were like. He couldn't have expected what came of her parents, could he? They just looked nice? - You're parents are nice people, though, I'm sure. I guess I can't really say, though, can I? - Fine, we take shifts if the mob comes. You go first, 'kay? - She could only blush. Ethan had to be the sweetest boyfriend. She had absolutely nothing to compare him to, but he was the best of the best, she could just tell. No one was to question Chloe's mystical ways. - She knew she was going. When Ethan pulled the "Well, it's your choice, but . . ." routine, she fell for it. Hard. - I really don't think I'm good at this . . . but I guess I'll go with. - She muttered, following him in. She just wanted to get this part over with. -
Ethan: *pausing a few moments, he gave her a smirk* They may know your life, but mine? I can be a bit more tricky than I appear *and thankfully, they didn't know some certain traits that could help them stall their demise... but the thought was derailed at her snuggling him. Wrapping his arms around her, he grinned* Nice? Sure, you can say that... but keep in mind that, at times, they're pretty tricky...... but that sounds fine by me *leaning in, he kissed into her hair, smiling to her* What's there to be good at, hun? I'm content with you just being beside me with that adorable blush of yours *pausing a few beats, he waited until she was in reach and wrapped an arm behind her, hand lingering on her waist* Just think, together, we can get this done faster, then get through my parents and we'll be home free *leading her to the neat rows of condoms, he paused as he looked over them..... why were there so many types. Blankly looking them over and nothing really popping out, he glanced to her, forcing a bit of a smile* Umm.....any of these strike your fancy? *if not, he was grabbing the first standard type and going with it*
Chloe: - Chloe rolled her eyes. - Alright, alright, Mr. Mysterious. I get it, you are an anomally-to everyone other than me. - She patted his back with a small smirk on her face. She burrowed in happily. - I think we should stop talking about the mob. Really, after tonight, what else is there for them to be mad about? Well, actually, I guess there is something, but that's what we're here to stop. As long as it works out, we get out scott free. No mobs led by either of our parents. - But it would probably be mine in the lead if it did happen, she thought to herself. Ethan's might be mad, but hers would be livid. At his mentioning it, she blushed a brighter shade of red. How did she help? It wasn't like she was familiar with this. She basically just followed him like a lost puppy through the aisle while he looked it over, but for some reason Ethan seemed to want her there, so she stayed. - Hey, we got through mine. If we can get through my parents, we can get through anything. - Chloe tried to look them over without blushing, and, failing that, just looked at him and shrugged. - Nope. Just pick one and let's go?
Ethan: That probably wouldn't surprise me right now *laughing, it was probably a good thing he didn't know the full extent of her parents' protectiveness. He would never question it, heck, he was protective of her as well... but sometimes they took it a hint too far, though he couldn't complain.* Hmmm...Well, its hard... but I think I can, especially when I can do this *leaning in, he gave her a small kiss, pulling back with a grin but keeping ahold of her. He loved it when he could hold her so close* I don't think there will be, Red, but I'll carry you away. *and he probably could, but here's to hoping there weren't any mobs. Taking the box, he let her lead, grabbing what she needed before paying an leading her out. Catching her hand again, he smiled lightly* Well, one more step and we're home free...Hopefully they won't take up the whole night after we told them we've been through the talk already *down to the minute details..but all that could do was help their case*
Chloe: Exactly, because it's something they would try. Gotta be careful or else they'll come after us, eh? - She laughed, her face another shade of red. She set the bag of supplies on her arm as they headed out into the cold. The moon was high in the sky and the streets were relatively clear, aside from a few adults carting their tired children home. The trees swayed in the wind, only a silhouette against the purple-black sky. Chloe wrapped her long red cape around herself to protect herself from the breeze and walked down the familiar path to Ethan's house. - It won't be so bad. We've already gotten through mom and dad, you know? Far worse, I'm sure. No matter how devious they are.Updated to 12/04/12
