Nocni Mura felt the wind blow past her. It was a nice feel, so different then what she was used to. This had been her first time out in the rogue lands in such a long time. The last time she had went to the rogue land was when she was a little older then a cub. Her father had taken her to the rogue land. She loved it, and couldn't wait to get back. However she waited till she was old enough to travel by herself. She wanted to travel alone, to have a chance to find herself.

Her whole life was spent with others. She never really had room to grow by herself. Now she had a chance to travel alone. The only problem was that she was lonely. Traveling the dark woods alone wasn't the ideal situation. She had always thought that she would have grand adventures once she left Mazu, but now, she just felt all alone.

During the day the forest didn't seem too bad. It was actually a very beautiful site to see, much different then what she was used to. She loved looking up at the trees and seeing the birds flutter from tree to tree. During the night though the birds were asleep, instead bats would glide across the sky. She didn't have a problem with bat, well not really. When she was younger she was called 'the batty cub' because of her bat marking on her. She would always smile and go on her way, but it really upset her that, that was all she was to them.

As she traveled the darken forest she found a group of fireflies dancing about. Now if that isn't a reminder of home, she thought with a smile. She decided to have a rest, so she could watch the fireflies. After walking as much as she did, she needed a break. She found a patch of grass and curled up, her orange eyes lite up by the fireflies.

It was a rare thing for the dry-mountain born male to be down among the lush forests, even rarer for him to be there in the shadows of night as he usually patrolled his home pride during the starlit hours, keeping the 'peace' if such a thing were possible, considering the bad blood between his druids and the hated Tokas. Yet for all that the large darkly coloured male was unfamiliar with the forest around him, he moved in near silence, with only the faintest rustle of dried leaves to betray him though it wasn't nothing the wind couldn't answer for.

As he paced slowly through the unusual landscape, he found himself distracted by thoughts of his pride, the very reason he was out here, trying to hunt after a Toka slayer had chased him clean across the roguelands after interrupting Samar's hunt. Samar still didn't know what the slayer thought he had done... being as he had been stalking that damn herd of antelope for four hours straight, but the over zealous lion had not even paused to hear Samar's words of greeting, but had launched himself at the druid male with fangs and claws bared, trying to draw blood. Samar had fight him off, but on hearing the Toka's backup coming from the direction f the pride, he had been forced to turn and run, or risk ending up back in the ravine jail for a second time. Not exactly something he wished to endure if he could avoid it.

Growling at the memory he suddenly stopped dead in his tracks, eyes widening as he spotted the familiar shimmering golden marks of a certain male. Frowning Samar peered closer at the shimmering imagery, slowly realising it was not the golden grin of a very unusual Toka male he had met not so long ago.. but rather these patterns were similar yet different. Squinting in the darkness he finally made out a far slimmer form under those rippling lines of vivid hues... a female then? What was a lioness doing way out here, far from any pride? She had to be a rogue, Samar surmised, slightly puzzled but intrigued by her similarity with Yoruhane.

He stood quietly, hidden in the shadows, the only indication he was even there were the pale glow of his eyes and the silver crescent mood upon his brow that glowed eerily in the darkness, trailing its stardust along Samar's flank.

It was odd seeing the fireflies out in the open instead of underground. Up here they were so freeing. She had the slight desire to try and catch one of them, wanting to keep one as a souvenir and remind her of home. However she decided against it. She didn't have anything to keep it in. That and fireflies did live very long. She felt it would be better for it to have freedom instead of a life stuck in a net. Instead, she decided it would be better to find a sort of gem as a souvenir. It would still remind her of her home.

She decided that she had spent enough time with the fireflies and decided that she should be on her way. As she got up and started to head deeper into the forest, she paused when she saw to light orbs and a small glowing moon. She quickly looked away, deciding that she was just seeing something. It was odd though, she thought, seeing a miniature moon. She wondered if perhaps it was a message from the gods, telling her that she needed to follow the moon. It was an odd way of telling her, she thought with a laugh.

After stopping and thinking about what she should do, she decided to see if any of the gods were around, trying to help her without her knowledge. If they were, it was a very king gesture. “Hello? Is there anybody out there? If there is a god or goddess out there, thank you so much for helping me on my travels. I appreciate it very much.” She would be sure to properly thank the god if they had helped her by hunting a meal for them.

He had been content to watch her as she in turn watched the fireflies, those sparkling pinpoints of light that very much resembled the markings upon his own coat.

Unusually distracted by thoughts of a certain golden-marked male, Samar wasn't paying attention when she started to move off and was surprised to find her suddenly in front of him, mere yards away, proclaiming her thanks to some random god. For a moment he wondered if he should just leave and let her continue her strange ritual, if indeed that was what this was. But he knew he couldn't just slip away... what if she was unstable somehow, or lost? He was not a sentimental lion but even he couldn't rightfully leave a vulnerable creature to the mercy of the wild unknown with a guilt free conscience.

With a silent sigh he shook his head at himself, took a brief moment to mentally wonder what the hell he was doing before stepping out from under the shadows that had hidden him and into her view, his body faintly outlined by the weak moonlight but otherwise he appeared insubstantial at best. Only the vivid moon mark on his brown, his eyes, and that trail of fireflies along his flanks gave him any true form.

"I have not seen a god out here yet...." He offered, his deep voice a rough gravely rumble in his chest.

Mura jumped when she heard the voice. At first she thought it was the moon who was talking to her, but then she realized that it was a lion, with a moon shaped marking on his head who spoke. She watched him for a moment, before letting out a sigh. Had she really thought that the gods would take time to help her when they had other godly things to do. Though she was grateful to know that she hadn't just been hallucinating the moon. That would have been terrible, she thought.

She gave the lion a quick bow of her head. “I am sorry about that. I er, thought you were a moon.” She said with an awkward smile. Even here she would make a fool of herself, she thought. “I thought that the gods had sent a moon down to guide me to where I am meant to go. It seems silly now.”

She hoped that she didn't look mad. Her first encounter outside Mazu was supposed to be one to remember, not an awkward one. “My name is Mura by the way. Nocni Mura, actually, but I prefer to be call Mura. I am new around these parts. I saw these fireflies and I thought of home.” Her voice faded out as she thought again of home. There were times as she traveled that she thought she would return and cut her trip short. However she knew if she returned there she would never want to leave again. This was really her chance to explore and she needed to take advantage of that.
