Shoggoths are a particularly vile-looking species of sea monster, the quintessential eldritch abominations of the dark and deep. Shoggoths have many eyes, mouths, and tentacles, and not nearly enough of anything else. They are amphibious, boneless, and mostly formless, able to form themselves into twisted parodies of body shapes as necessary to move around. The subspecies Scyllian Shoggoths can be identified by their ring of doglike heads, and are named for their most famous representative: the Greek monster Scylla.
Natural Ability: Amorphous - Shoggoths can use their lack of bones or set anatomy to their advantage. Just as they are flexible and ever-changing in their natural-form, in student form they can temporarily contort and shift their features within the confines of what is already on them - for instance, moving eyes or mouth to their stomach, or contorting feet into an extra pair of hands.
Personality:
Under the sea, life wasn't necessarily better down where it was wetter. Scyllian Shoggoths live in the ruins of sunken cities, in near-total darkness, without much civilization or identity of their own. Instead, they absorb what sinks to the sea floor, bottom-feeders of culture and knowledge. Zev's life up until now has consisted of tending to the sunken ruins it called home, and dreaming of a different life.
Unlike most of its species, Zev took more than a passing interest in the knowledge from above, studying what had been forgotten - clothing, tools, languages, stories. It painted for itself a romantic picture of life on land, full of fantastic adventures, whirlwind romances, excitement and danger and most importantly, fun. Now at Amityville, Zev continues to hold this belief and pursue their new life with all the enthusiasm of the main character they are sure they are. Zev is also a little overdramatic and quick to believe that every little situation is the start of something bigger.
Zev is very friendly. Sometimes a little too friendly. It is extremely curious and naive, and very quick to believe what friends tell it about the nuances of surface life. Having very little 'self' to start with, it absorbs the characteristics and mannerisms of others. Zev does try to write poetry (hence the many papers and pencils), but all its favorite words are in languages no one else knows, and consequently make no sense to anyone else.
The biggest thing Zev is ashamed of is itself. Afraid to be outcast again, but unwilling to give up on its new life, Zev is quick to change itself to be whatever people want. It hides behind a canine guise even in student form, covers itself head to toe to hide the many eyes on its skin, and rarely goes natural form, hoping it will be seen as something else, something better. Its personality is as flexible as its body, and it will bend over backward just to be accepted by other students at Amityville.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Zevael's strange behavior and preference for land over sea eventually turned it into a pariah of its species. Outcast, unhappy, unwanted, Zev adopted the shape of a dog and fled from the ocean of FEAR. Hoping for a second chance to be someone, Zev enrolled itself as a student at Amityville. Maybe it'd be accepted here... but just in case, it would try to be someone else this time.
Natural Form: Check it out but really SURPRISE it's all tentacle-y. At y1 he is probably the size of a large octopus, and small-dog sized when he is mimicking one.
FEAR Ability: Body Horror (Battle Cry) - Utilizing the burst of fear, Zevael's body splits open all over to reveal hidden mouths full of sharp teeth, increasing the hell out of its biting capability.
