THIS RP IS OPEN TO YOU IF YOU ARE A FRIEND OF CASS OR ARE COMING TO CHECK IN ON HER FROM HER TWITTER FEED.

To be honest, the house was kind of a mess. There was a lot of sweeping and vacuuming and even some repair still to be done, but..it was what she had now. It wasn't bad. Marcus had made a lot of progress on it, even, before it had been messed up in the last raid. But, there was a roof and walls and most of all there was space.

After her 'discussion' with Aria the night before, Cass had retreated straight to the house and Marcus had found her curled up on the corner of the floor of the kitchen weeping and trying to make sense to him of what had just happened. Mostly, there were two things that were the most obvious: Cass's right arm had been broken, and she no longer had a division coat of any kind. Not a trainee coat, nothing.

The next day hadn't exactly been a joy either, but after her second discussion with Aria, Cass had returned to the house, attempted to push a broom around, just to jab herself in the arm with it repeatedly, and then settled in at the kitchen counter with a laptop - courtesy of Aria and her new responsibilities - and her phone, trying to at least give people a sense of what was going on. If they even cared.

She wouldn't have blamed them if they shunned her for what she'd done to Petra. Hell, even after she'd said 'I'm at my house', she expected that maybe, just maybe, Robert would show up and break her neck... and she wouldn't blame him if he did. She deserved that, at the least.

Still, it seemed like company was a possibility in the near future, which caused Cass to hesitantly leave the computer unattended as she tried to at least straighten up a bit. She'd at least get all the potential sharp things to hurt one's foot on out of the way.

There weren't many people Candace would literally drop everything for to be with. Hell, she even usually only saw H when convenient for herself. Very rarely did she go running to him. Cass was someone she would drop everything to run to, to be by her side. She had no idea of the stresses the poor girl was having, only that she had been acting very strangely lately, and it was worrying her. And now she had done something so severe to Petra she freaked out all over twitter and was somehow punished by Aria? She needed to go to her.

She knocked twice on the door once before opening it and peeking in, searching for signs of Cass. "Cass? It's Candace.."

Cass was attempting to sweep again when Candace opened the door, the younger mist looking towards the front of her house from the kitchen before she sighed and propped the handle of the broom up against the counter to head towards the entry way.

"Marcus! Company!" she shouted into the house, knowing fully well that the Moon was around somewhere. He'd been hovering all morning before he'd been called away by still having 'real' responsibilities, so...he was somewhere around.

Never the less, Candace would be greeted with a weak wave of her good hand, her 'new' coat drapped over and pinned to her shoulders to keep it on. "Hey." she greeted, almost with monotony in her tone, "That was pretty quick."

Ah! There she was! Candace looked relieved at first, at least until she noticed the coat. No colors? Where was the blue? The straps? It had sleeves. It was cut oddly. This...wasn't Cass' usual coat. What happened to her coat. Candace looked Cass up and down to find some kind of hint at her punishment, her eyes widening at the sight of the cuff and then--her arm in a sling?! WHAT!?

"H..hi..." Stepping into the house, Candace closed the door behind her and just stared at the sling. "Self defense?" There was a hint of hope in her voice, really hoping that Petra had done that and not Aria. "I ran...I was worried about you. Are you okay?" She frowned, stepping closer to Cass. Could she hug her? She wanted to hug her. ********.

Cass looked at her arm, her brows furrowing together as a look of distaste came across her face before she looked up again, the expression smoothing out into that more mute look she'd had previously. "Eye for an eye." she answered. "'For our own betterment'." That last part was obviously not Cass's opinion, but..it said enough, her good hand stroking along the sling for a moment before she frowned again.

"I've been better. I honestly don't know if I'll ever be that kind of better again, but.... this is what happens, I guess." she forced a smile, as if trying to convince herself that somehow that made everything alright. "I figure maybe if I let Robert roll around at some point and get his revenge on me it'll be better." she added. "Or Petra. One of them get the first swing, anyways...." A glance at her arm. "Second swing..."

Rep had deliberated how wise it was to get involved at the discussion on twitter. But the fact remained, he was worried about Cass. He wasn't entirely sure if the magnitude of lockdown was clear to her, or even what else had been thrown her way by the higher ranks as punishment.

It was this combination of curiosity and concern that led Rep to the town and its various delapidated houses. The last time he'd been here was when Marcus had tried - and failed - to get him to help to rebuild. He just hoped he wasn't around today, that would be awkward.

As he knocked the door he was sure he heard voices within and immediately regretted putting himself in this predicament, who the hell wanted a visit from him of all people? This was going to be awkward anyway. He hovered in the doorway, not presuming to let himself in even though the door seemed slightly ajar. Maybe he should leave, he thought to himself, clenching his hands anxiously, it was easy to be a pushy arsehole and he was entirely out of his depth here trying to be a normal concerned person.

"Did Aria do that, then?" Candace bit down on the end of her thumb and forced herself to tear her gaze away from Cass' arm and instead focus on her face. Ro, Lance..Cass. Why? Why all at once? Why at all? The coat also had her curious and Candace moved closer.

"So I hear.." She muttered, sighing and reaching out to cup Cass' cheek. "I won't let Robert hurt you." Candace said with enough finality to make it clear this was not up for debate. Robert was completely justified in any anger, she understood that, but she couldn't just let him attack Cass. There'd been enough s**t happening lately. She sighed and pulled Cass into a hug, being careful of her broken arm as she did, and kissed her cheek. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you. I'm so sorry."

The door opened again and Candace tensed, whirling around so her back was to Cass and she was between her and whoever was coming in. It could be Robert.

..Or...Rep.

She blinked. "Oh, hey.."

Looking at her arm, she nodded slowly. "Yeah." she confirmed. It was obvious that Candace didn't want that to be her answer, but she couldn't lie about it. Just like she hadn't denied what she'd done to Petra, nor had she tried to get out of her punishment for it. Even if punishment sucked harder than a well paid whore.

She leaned into the hug, not really willing, or wanting, to put up a fuss for physical contact that wasn't of the variety of inflicting her pain. Hugs were nice, and she'd found herself getting a lot of them as of late. "It's my fault for not trying to get help, I guess." That's how it sounded, anyways. It was her fault, this was her due process. "From here it's really a case of how the cookie crumbles."

When Candace looked towards the door, Cass stepped out from behind her to go and open it to see who it was. She didn't exactly look excited to see Rep, but there was a sort of mute relief on her face. It wasn't Robert. Or Aria, even. "Hey." she greeted, with about the same weak tone she had Candace. "You don't have to stand out here, you know...." she motioned to the outside of the doorway with her good hand.

The moon hunter was very much around, and very much thanking god that he managed to get a shift change at last second. Granted, it cost him a beer he'd been saving but he was guaranteed most of a day to fret over his fiance. He had only a two hour shift over at the lighthouse, but once that was done he'd come right home, and making sure Cass was settled, got himself to working. The moon had been busy in the back of the house, working on spackling the rooms of tiny cracks to finish them up for painting. One of the last things that really needed to be done.

When he heard Cass tell him they had company, he didn't drop everything, but rather tried to finish up the last holes in the bed room. Once that was done, a decent downstairs and he smiled at bit at Candace, only giving a blank look to Rep. He might have hated Rep but Cass did not. And whatever Cass wanted?

Cass would get.

"Sorry the house is still a bit under construction. Let me wash my hands and I'll pull out some chairs for you guys from another room. Cass, you need any thing while I'm down here?"

Rep was always at a complete loss when he didn't have his shield of arrogance and rudeness to hide behind. He always felt too much of his underlying uncertainty shone through, vulnerable. And Candace being there too, though not unexpected made him even more aware of how awkward this was going to be. There was something bizarrely solemn about him without the immediate assault of snideness.

He eyed Cass's arm with the slightest of frowns, saying nothing about it but noting it. "Hey." he offered. It felt small and stupid. Still, he did as she said and didn't linger in the way, edging into the room, even while his instincts said he should maybe come back later, he didn't particularly want to but in on Candace and Cass having a friend moment.

When Marcus wandered into the room he felt his blood run cold. ********. He looked away, outright looked away in a sort of deference, anywhere else he'd give Marcus the usual narrow glare and some sort of barbed comment, here in his house, to see Cass, that much even for Rep didn't fly.

"I like, can come back later if you guys want. I just..twitter and like..wanted to make sure like..you were okay."

Wow, arm broken by your own leader. That was serious stuff. Candace found herself cringing just imagining the pain, unconsciously rubbing her forearm for a moment before instead just petting Cass' hair. Robert would definitely not feel this was punishment enough for Cass..she had to protect her. "To be honest you're the last person I'd ever have expected to do something like this. You're always so.." Her eyes darted down to the glowing cuff around Cass' wrist. The last person she'd seen with one of those had killed an innocent woman.

..O..oh god. ********. Did she kill Petra? Oh god, oh god. Please no. Please be alive. She'd have to go check after she left here.

Please be okay.

"It'll work out...oh, hey Marcus." She waved, stepping aside since Rep didn't seem volatile. She'd backread what she'd missed on twitter; Rep had been one of the people to help her, right? When was the last time she'd seen Rep this uncomfortable? The tension was too heavy. The atmosphere was uncomfortable. Candace needed something to do. "Ah...Cass! Do you have tea or something? I can make some for us, if you want." If Rep wanted to stay, at least. Candace definitely wanted to stay and find out what happened before she checked on Petra.

Marcus's appearance prompted another small smile. "Hey hon. I think just chairs is fine." she insisted. "Let me know if there's anything I can do around here to help out, alright?" Being demoted to only one arm had kind of rendered her useless. Hell, Rep would be aghast to know she probably couldn't even cook worth a damn with only one hand.

"Honestly, you're not the first person to say that I'm the last person they expected to snap. I guess that position should go to Molly now or something like that." she attempted to joke, but she just sounded sad about it. "I....we do coffee. Don't think I've even plugged that machine in yet. It's just sitting in the kitchen." Along with that laptop. Whoops. She'd have to..put that somewhere less incriminating, she guessed.

Rep got a small pat on the shoulder from Cass. "I'd like it if you stayed for a while, Rep." she urged, probably sounding the most sincere she had the entire conversation thus far. It was probably because she needed his presence to remind her that she'd get past this. Maybe. He'd gone pretty low too, after all.

Then again, she was a full rank hunter going mad in the cafeteria despite the fact that Petra had apparently begged her to stop.... she really couldn't remember hearing that. Had Petra told her to stop?

"I dunno about 'ok' but I'm alive...for however long."

Rep gave Candace a look of interest as she said to Cass that she would be the last person expected to do something of that sort. Rep wasn't of the same opinion, he thought Cass was gentle, kind but she was passive and when you had a passive woman more often than not you could push them and push them until they snapped and you got a knife in your neck or a suicide on your conscience.

He was glad Cass had lashed out, it meant - to his twisted logic at least - that she was probably going to be okay.

Almost involuntarily he found himself rubbing the wrist that had been cuffed for months, sometimes still almost mistaking that it was still there, a harsh lesson in what was acceptable and not and the second strike on his card, third strike he was out forever, Cass for now seemed to be in the same boat, as long as she didn't snap back like an overstretched elastic again she would hopefully be okay. He wasn't sure about other division protocols but in Sun you were either dead or you weren't, you didn't get warnings when you overstepped the mark with finality.

Saying absolutely none of this, Rep simply looked grim for the entire conversation, finally giving Cass a grateful little smile for her encouragement to stay. "Ta man. And like. you look like you'll be okay to me. That's quite a bit of punishment." Excessive punishment in his opinion. Petra was alive, she'd be out of the infirmary in due time, Cass needed help and people to deal with the issues she had, not whatever the hell had happened to her and a lockdown. She was only a threat as long as whatever had set her off stuck around. But he didn't make the rules, and being Rep, he didn't understand them much when applied to him either.

He crossed his arms and snorted. "Petra's a big girl. It wasn't that big a ********' deal. But you've got your sentence. As long as you don't do anything again, it'll probably be a matter of keeping your head down and figuring out what happened in the first place to set it off."

It wasn't often that routines were broken. Not In Leon's mind, schedules were made and followed as close as possible. There was supposed to be daily exercise from 6 to 11, paperwork to be submitted till 12 and tests to run and data to document till 4 and social activities till 6 and then dinner was to be made.

That list went right out the proverbial window with Cass's unusual comments on twitter. While the area of residences were in its tattered form, at least Marcus's house wasn't as difficult to find, it was the one of the few that was slowly getting reconstructed back together.

It would be the first time visiting as a guest, under such horrible circumstances. But a gift was customary still. on such short notice he scrambled around for stuff that he could bring. Still, the solemn life hunter peeked in through the doorway and toed his shoes off at the door before stepping in, in with him a decent sized bottle of Pinot gris with a green bow around it and nodding to Rep and Candace in the room. one of the bottles that sat under his desk for any special occasions that required celebrating. It was part of his own personal supply but it would have to do. "First and formost, a house warming gift." he said softly, placing the bottle on the table, instead of trying to give it to Cass's apparently good arm.

Why the other one was in a sling, he had no clue, eyebrows were furrowed at the sudden injury. secondly, he had to put a palm on her shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "You alright?"

A look to Rep that said, 'I am beyond ******** to be given'. The fact he was expressing some form of concern for Cass after the events was if anything surprising to the moon hunter. To Candace he offered a shrug. "I'll set something up. No flavored cream, just milk and sugar if you want it." Moving to the kitchen, he washed his hands, taking a moment to shut the laptop. Cass had told him her duties, no need for anyone else to know.

Coffee set, the moon returned, One chair under each arm. Then he saw Leon. "Cass, we don't have enough coffee for a party." It was a light joke but he would try to smile for her. The wine did earn Cass a look of 'No'. She may have had a broken arm, but he was not going to have her day drinking while depressed. "Should I get more chairs then? Oh and if you guys don't want coffee we have milk and water."
