You know what Atiqua loved? Getting free stuff. Free broken stuff. Why? Because not only was it free, but it could be fixed. Any you know what was the best to get? Free, broken food. Broken food because it didn’t look good enough for some trolls higher blood or lower. Shops tended to give away free food if you went at the right time and told them you could fix their problem of having broken looking food out. It was usually the lowblood shops that she could trick, and even as a child, her blood let her have a bit of leeway. Just how she managed to walk away with a box full of faygo in cans. Dented cans, but hey, free dented cans. She also scored some slightly burned meat baskets. Delicious meaty goodness in a warm flacky crust usually, the top crust was slightly charred. She could pick that off. No problem. Her challenge however, would be keeping it from any passing grubby fingers. She tricked those flubbing fools on her own and like hell she was going to just randomly share her sweet loot with any nooksucker. Waiting on a bench for seadad to come back from where he was, Atiqua hissed and glared at every other troll kid that passed. A few older trolls of lower blood too. Mostly she just huddled over her loot like a tiny angry lusus. chimarii LIKE I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING

Magild was totally stealing your s**t Atiqua.
She sidled right up to the girl, no hindrances of the hemospectrum in her mind. Shoulder to shoulder, Magild's fur coat spilling onto the little girl's shoulder. Was it strange to take food from a tiny troll that was barely out of the caves? Maybe. Did Magild care?
There was food right there, are you even asking that question what?
"Hello friend, I am Magild. Who is ye?" she said, her eyes two shiny spheres of expectation. Friiiiiiend.

Stealing her s**t? Talk about rude. As some larger redblood got up close, it took a lot of willpower not to just hiss at her and abscond. Leave behind a really nasty burned meat baskets to maybe hold them off while she fled but no. Her meat baskets, even the burned ones. The fur was new though. New and soft and no. No. Distracted. Her loot, not your’s. “I don’t remember you.” Eyes narrowed as she looked the older troll up and down. “And if we’re friend how come you don’t remember me? I’m Atiqua. If you can’t even remember my name maybe you aren’t my friend after all.” She huffed, scooting a bit away, still huddled over her loot.
Her meat baskets. Hiss hiss.

Magild scooted over as well, mimicking the girl's motions and maintaining a cozy two micrometers apart from the teal blood. "Oh, but we can still be friends, yiss?" Magild inquired, batting the eyelashes that sheltered her bright shiny eyes. "Ah see! Now I knows yer name, Atiqua. Now we are friends."
Apparently that was all the conclusion Magild needed to be friends with someone. She smiled happily, albeit somewhat stupidly, and shoved her fur coat towards the girl. She'd noted before how taken the little one was with it- might as well use it to her advantage.
"Oh? Ye likes it? My lusus made this with me," Magild said proudly, raising both her feet off the ground to reveal fluffy white boots. "These too!"

Scoot. Sccoooooooot. Atiqua was quickly running out of space. And by quickly she was considering her option of going in the ground... even if that would be dirty. And risky. He food might get dirt and who knew what else in it. "I.. guess?" The teal was reluctant to agree to being friends just like that but- this was a red blood. She'd be fine. Sorta. "So Magild."
Her thoughts were winding back over to the fur. Fingers petting it. All she normally got to pet was seadad, and those were scales. Scales were not soft and fuzzy. "You Lusus made it? Hrmmm." Orange eyes went to the boot. "You ever think about selling them?'
And then marketing them as high low-blood fashion?

Magild gasped, clutching the fur close to her and closing herself off from Atiqua entirely. "I would nevers," Magild said, staring at Atiqua like she was an alien with glasses and blue pajamas. "This is not for sale!" she added matter-of-factly.
She sighed and leaned back over onto the girl and tiredly said, "But it is for pettings, yiss."
Also, it would be keen to mention that Magild's eyes had not left the meat baskets. Not once.

Dang, she could have made some sweet beetles with some high low-blood fashion scam. Well, maybe she could. It would just be a lot of work if she started with nothing. Maybe she's just take high blood stuff and reverse market it to low bloods. Yeah, less risky too. Never knew when a higher blood would snap after all.
"Nevers is a pretty long time. I'd just say until next week. Because then who knows? It is a great mystery." Fingers wiggled, before going back around her bags. Well one hand at any rate, the fur was soft, and the troll couldn't deny if felt nice. Looking to the red blood, then to where she was looking. Atiqua's eyes narrowed. Nope. New friend or not, no freebies. "You wanna buy a meat basket? This one's got real hoofbeast inside."

So Magild went in for the kill. "But why not share, when we are friends." She put a heavy emphasis on the word friends, because friends shared with friends and don't you forget it Atiqua.
"Unless ye want me to starve," Magild added saddling, holding her stomach. As if on cue, it gave a little growl, as if angry with Atiqua's choices. See what you've done Atiqua? SEE?

The kill ended with Atiqua at the end of the bench, wide eyed. She was going to be culled, she just knew it. Culled by some redblood over some meaty meat baskets. But maybe... Maybe... "Yeah, we're friends." Giving a smug look, she pulled out the meat basket with the most burns she could find. "But friends don't always cut friends deals you know. Sometimes friends make a trade."
She looked at the fur boots. "I don't want you to starve but I had to get these all on my own. Friend or not, I can give you one-" she offered the black rimmed hoofbeast pie, "-But any others we need to work out a deal."

Magild's eyes sparkled the sparkliest sparkles as her grey hand spidered around the pie that Atiqua handed her. She lifted it to her mouth and engorged the entire thing in one bite.
"Oh friend, ye are so silly- friends always cut the deals with friends!!" Obviously. Clearly. "But if ye insist, I can let you ride on bearmom! I am sure she is around here somewhere, yiss."

Starring at the redblood, Atiqua had never worried about being eaten before. Now she slightly did. Some people chewed their food, others swallowed it whole. And scared sane trolls like herself. "Huhhhhhh." keeping the other meat pies to herself, the teal nodded her head. "Friends are nice. You don't eat friends." Hopefully. "Wait. Bearmom?" She wasn't sure if she wanted or not.

"Of course ye don't eat yer friends! Yer learnin' quickly, Antiquaquat." Magild wasn't good with names. She tried.
"YES! BEARMOM!" she said excitedly, looking back and forth for her furry lusus. Magild was the troll equivalent of that person that's best friends with their mom. Except in this case, the mom didn't want anything to do with the child. "She is the most beautiful lusus, ye should see her! I am sures she is around here somewhere .... Maybe if we yell loudly! With all our might!! Yes, Atiquatan, we must SHOUT!!"

Well, that was good. Friends don't eat friends. Bless you Magild, bless. This teal would not fear so much for her young life. "It's Atiqua. An-tea-quu-wah. I have Seadad. He's... well he's a fishy thing so probably not good for friends with your bearmom." Fish and bears were bad combos. Unless you were the bear. "Shout though? Like Ahhhhhhhh?" It wasn't very loud at all. More like casual shout. If a shout could be casual.

"No no no, Aticumquat, like this!" Magild then stood on the bench they were seated upon. What she needed was a bit of energy. She took some deep breaths, put her hands on her hips. If she was going to do this, she had to do it right.
"BEARMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM."
She listened for a moment. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Of course Bearmom didn't give a s**t at the moment. They'd grown so close that Bearmom knew when Magild's shouts were distressed or if they were just being used to nag her. The mom knew.
Magild looked at Atiqua. "Well ... why don't ye tries?"

Magild would learn her name.... one day. One day. The yell has Atiqua freezing in shock before rubbing her sound lobes. "That was... ow." It hurt being so close. If anything the red blood had a set of lungs on her. ".....If I gotta try-" Taking a deep breath, the teal troll called out with not quite all her might. "BEARMOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm????" It trailed off, ending in a question. Looking to Magild, she hoped that she hadn't just insulted some lusus with such a weak summoning.
