It was one of those days. One of those dark horrible days, despite the sun shining at its brightest. Bane lay on a flat rock in a small clearing of the forest. His hands were covering his face and at the moment he did not care who might see or might sneak up on him. Bane's encounter with his childhood friend had left him in a horrible state. Emotions where something Bane had tried so hard to live without for so long. So now they hurt, his chest felt tight and his eyes burned as though they were trying to remember how to cry. Why had seeing his friend but him in this state? He knew why...it had reminded him of everything he had had that he didn't now. Yes he had replaced his old life with a new one, but it was a horribly path filled with blood and loneliness. It felt right until something reminded him how wrong it was. He was so confused and unsure of what he was supposed to do right now. Bane was quickly just trying to shut down everything and it was working.
Soon Bane stared into the canopy of the trees with a blank look on his face. For once there was nothing on his mind, not his poisons, not his childhood friend, no ill will towards anyone or anything. He was just him alone in the forest wondering what he should do now.

On the other side of the spectrum, Monet was in a rather pleasant mood. He was free of work! Free to do as he pleased. Not to say his job was all that bad, but... it could wear on one's patience and brain after awhile... The mononoke decided that today he would enjoy some time up in nature. Perhaps a large enough lake would be nearby that he could take to his leviathan form and enjoy a nice swim about... but that was unlikely. Still.. he could do so in his current form, no problem. His lanky tail swished laxly behind him, the bangles and piercings on it chiming softly with each movement, his finned ears resting against his beautiful silky blue hair that framed along his face, and spilled over smooth exposed shoulders. Dawned on each round edge was a patch of equally smooth scales, glistening and glittering like gems, same for the patches on his cheekbones. Long legs carried him with ease and elegance, uncovered to show off their sleek form, belly button ring bouncing lightly with the momentum of motion, also winking as the sun hit it. In fact... all his jewelry was shimmering!
A hum could be heard coming from the lovely man, his seagreen eyes admiring the beauty of nature surrounding him, pace leisurely and fluid. But there was something that caught his eye further up... in the tree's. A figure far too large to be that of an animal. Curious, Monet approached, head canting. It was clear from the body language displayed that the stranger was not in good spirits... but.. Monet was good at helping with that. Smile gentle on his pretty face, the mononoke called out softly, "Alright up there?"

Bane jumped a little in this state he had totally let down his guard. Someone had managed to get far to close to him without noticing. He sat up and stared at the figure before him. Bane looked more like a frightened animal at the moment then the fierce druid he normally was.
Yellow eyes with black slits as pupils seemed to study the other male hard. Bane without thinking shifted a moved from his perch to get a closer look. The other male seemed to shimmer like the sun upon the water's surface. Specially in this mental state the sparkles of the scales and jewelry had him half memorized.
With a tilt of his head he noticed the tail of the other, a mononoke no doubt from the looks of it. After the moments of staring and silence Bane finally decided to answer back. "Perhaps....perhaps not." He said sounding unsure. Though his inner voice screamed to him that he was far from ok. Why would Bane tell this guy though? And why did this male feel a need to ask? And why was he here so deep in the forest in the first place? For once though all these questions stayed inside. In fact Bane was at a loss of how to react right now, he was so upset. He felt no desire to tease or hurt this man before him, which was not normal for Bane.
"You....shimmer...its...enchanting...." Bane blurted out. Where the heck had that come from? Bane almost blushed, he was used to flirting but not this quickly or well this was not his style to say something like that. "I'm sorry." Bane said shaking his head and stepping a few steps back towards where he had been previously perched. "I'm not really myself...." Maybe that was a good thing? Emrys seemed to bring out the old Bane the normal Bane. Which both pissed Bane off while simultaneously putting his mind and soul at ease.
