AIM LOG Gin and Talencia's Liekko

Liekko was limping today, though nothing was obviously wrong with him. If one was watching him, it would be assumed he'd strained something or other. The truth was simply ridiculous though. Liekko had chosen to limp today, and that's all there was to it. He was curious to see if it garnered a reaction from anyone he met, and he was a dedicated enough trickster that he kept the limp at all times in all ways. Currently he was hitching his way up a steep trail, tongue hanging out and a pitiful look on his face. "Stinkin wild dogs," he grumbled under his breath, lying even when noone was near to hear. "Them and their greedy ways." He grunted as he reached the top and paused to sit and artfully sag himself against a boulder. Perhaps a juicy bit of someone might come along that he could play with.

Gin moved silently along the path her thoughts were concerned else where, true her sister Chise had more than happily agreed to becoming the leader of the Paka clan and Tiyatahmey to the Nyuni clan that still left the Mbweha clan without a leader. There was also the issue of the Mbweha's clan importance, not that it was more important than any of the other it was the functioning of the clan was dependent upon their leader in swift actions however there was none. Her brows furrowed as she continue to think of who in the pride would be the best in leading the clan however no name came to mind, instead she would be forced to find someone who would be far more suitable outside of the clan, however this task would prove to be far harder than she would want it to be. Finding someone meant having them accept and then train them to be a member, the process could take longer than someone who already knew what they were doing. The silver colored lioness was so lost in her thoughts she did not realize the hyena who had stopped at the top until it was too late to avoid him.

"Pardon me, miss," Liekko whined, making his voice high and subservient. "Do you know where I can find," he paused to cough and wheeze, "a waterhole?" With that, he pushed himself to his paws, wobbled her direction, then 'tripped' and sprawled directly at her feet, his nose practically atop one of her paws. Hmm, she smelled nice at least. Not that he'd ever tell her so. He let loose a yelp of pain and curled as if in pain, getting into his role whole-heartedly.

Gin stared at the hyena, she seemed to be in pain not to mention his entire state reminded her of some elderly lion who couldn't even manage to make it anywhere on his own. Honestly this was not her forte, dealing with those incapable of helping themselves for the most irked her patience it was the sole reason why Chise always ended up taking on such role. She held back the from muttering underneath her voice and placed a rather over friendly smile on her face, there was one advantage to being a spy and that was if need be you played a rather interesting actress like role undercover.

"I believe its just a few paces down this hill sir at the bottom of the valley, are you ok" She asked with a hint of annoyance in her rather concerned voice.

In a fit of randomness, Liekko decided to drop the ruse, just to throw his companion off-center. "Oh, okay then!" he squeaked in a youthful voice, leaping to his paws and bounding in dancing circles around the feline. "A good splash of water sure can be rejuvinating, eh?" He capered comically, then with a mischievious grin, suddenly collapsed back into his limping old geezer act. "Though I have to get there first," he wheezed, wavering on his paws unsteadily.

What in the heavens, Gin thought as the hyena jumped up rather quickly and bounded around in circles. Furrowing her brows she gave him a rather annoyed look, great not only had she had to pretend to be friendly but it was for some hyena who thought of it as a joke to play old or either youthful she wasn't sure. Great, just what she felt like dealing with today, where was Chise when she needed her?

"It can be rejuvenating," Gin replied putting another smile on her face before muttering under her breath, "and a great place to hide things you don't want others to find."

His ears flicked minutely with interest at what she'd said, but apparently completely ignored it. Mentally he turned the information over in his mind, wondering just what in the world she had meant by it. "So tell an old codger your name, missy," he wheezed out, eyes sparkling merrily. "But speak up! These old ears aren't so good at catching these werid, long jumbles you youngsters call names!" He waved a paw in a vague gesture of irritation and leaned very close to her face, ear foremost, as if to catch her faintest whisper. "M'name's Carke," he imparted, still leaning as close to her face as he could. "Now speak up, who are ye?"

"The name is Gin, it,s a pleasure to meet you Carke" She replied almost yelling into his ear as he grew close to her face with all hopes that not only he could hear her but make it even harder for him to hear again. This old hyena of a fool was getting her almost no where as if this moment other than allowing her to lose her patiences, however it was rude to leave you elders without help even if they were annoying. At least he could look on the bright side her name was not as long and jumbled as he had mentioned, three letters were much more easier to say and remember than anything else. Looking down the hill she wondered if he where intending to drag her down to help him to the water's edge, if so this was going to be a much longer day than she had thought.

"Genitza, you say?" he warbled weakly, purposely getting her name wrong. He pawed at his ear as if to dig something out of it to hear better. Quick as a flash, he adjusted his demeanor again, this time sitting up straight and giving her a long, intense, come-hither look, nearly nose-to-nose with her. "Well now," he said soft and smooth, his voice as much like silk as a hyena could manage. "With that kind of name, and that kind of body, it's a wonder your man lets you wander out alone." His following grin was quite predatory, which was rather bizarre considering how much smaller his frame was than hers. Oh how he loved playing with others!

Honestly would anyone missed him if she disposed of him? Gin forced herself not to lose her temper, despite being rather rational things that always appeared to be rather stupid always seemed to fringe on her nerves for than anything else. Apparently this hyena was getting a rather amusing joke out of toying with her yet she shouldn't have been so lost in her own thoughts to allow him to eat away at her. Flattening her ears she gave the hyena a rather odd smirk as if all at once she was pleasant but annoyed.

"I'm afraid I killed the last male I was with though I can only say that was some time ago," that was only partially true she had him killed not that she had done the deed herself she just merely gave the information when needed, what others with that was not her concern.

"How... resourceful of you," he murmured, very nearly fluttering his lashes at her. "I guess he wasn't strong enough for the likes of you." He hovered there, still in her face, for a long string of heartbeats. He held still as a stone, frozen in the moment, lost within himself and within the mad choas he created for himself and those he met. For the barest moment, but a flicker of time, there appeared within his eyes a sorrow, a pain, like an echo of heartbreak seen from a distance. Had she blinked, or not been looking directly into his eyes, she would have missed it, for like a breath of wind, it was swiftly gone, and naught but his madness remained. His face suddenly split with a grin. "You are no fun at all," he said conversationally, meaning the exact opposite of course. "But I think I hear my mother calling." With a maniac cackle he kicked up his heels, waved his fuzzed stub of a tail, and set off at a dead run back down the trail he'd hobbled up so meticulously. There was no rhyme or reason, there never was. He lived life in the moment, completely disconnected from the moment before and the moment after. One day, it would get him killed. Perhaps today was that day... or not. Only time could tell, and time was something Liekko disregarded as merrily as he did everything else.

"No he wasn't," Gin merely replied as if it was little concern, she never thought about those who didn't make it if she dwelt on every lost soul she would be haunted forever in a swarm of memories. The lioness only rose a brow as he seemed to lose himself within his thoughts, she was unsure where he had wondered off to but she was reassured whatever it was sent a lot of pain to cause his face to flicker. Yet it was no concern to herself, if it was something that she needed to know then he would say so if not then it was not her place no her care. Gin had made it her business to stay out of drama unless the mission required to do so, otherwise you ended up having to spread yourself too thin or created far too many lies to be able to keep your cover going.

As the hyena cracked a grin she merely shook her head, he had lost it at this point for whatever reasoning he was no longer sane or at least to her stand point that was notion of him. Even when he made his escape kicking his heels in a rather merry like run down the hill she didn't even bother to say a farewell her only hope was she wouldn't have to deal with him again, if so it would be far too soon for her liking.
