Gasoline, a baseball bat, a lighter that had been given to her, and a couple other goodies stored away in a backpack for later. These were the things Riyo carried with her as she followed the path out of Amityville and towards the city. Something that, perhaps, was better walked to. Like the build-up to the most exciting part in a book. Each step was another plank of wood on the bridge that would take her to the present and leave the past far behind.
Her aim today was to blow up that bridge as soon as she was across, so she would never have to look back in fear that her monsters would come for their ounce of blood. Riyo was starting something new, but to help it grow, she'd need to fertilize the soil...
... With the ashes of everything she had.
Shooting a glance back to Amityville momentarily, The ghoul slung the bat over her shoulder and hummed a little tune. Whatever she was going to do, it looked like it'd be fun.

Titus had been spending a great deal of time away from school as of late. Classes were a bore and honestly what was there to keep him around? He was just out and about walking through town when and interesting sight caught his attention. On a normal day perhaps a ghoul with a bat and a bag of goodies wouldn't have made him think twice but she had paused and turned back to look toward the school and it was in that moment he had glanced the long blonde locks. True, Riyo wasn't the only one with blonde hair but it had him curious enough to investigate to see if it was truly her or not.
Casually making his way through the crowd he followed the ghoul for some time before his long strides took him just within reach of her. "Where's the party?"

Riyo's step faltered only momentarily as a familiar voice caught her ears. The feline shot a glance over her shoulder, then continued forward. "Up ahead, actually." From her voice you wouldn't be able to tell anything was different. She might've even seemed a little cheerful. As cheerful as Riyo got, at least.
"I'm having an after-party at my house, too. Originally it was going to be a party of one, but I suppose you can come along if you don't have anything better to do." She shrugged, Pausing at a crosswalk and waiting for the walking light to flash. "Nothing big. Just going to destroy everything I own."

So it was her, though she barely paid him any mind. Like what had happened not long ago hadn't happened at all. Interesting...Titus remembered pulling the same stuff himself. It made him curious as to what she was up to.
"Party of one huh?....sounds thrilling." He paused beside her at the crosswalk curious about her next statement. "Destroying everything you own?" Now he truly had to see this. "Should I even bother to ask?"

"Yeah. I'm pretty good at those kinds of parties. Especially with that wine cellar." Yes, that wine cellar had gotten her through many a night. It would be a shame to see it go, but such was life.
Continuing when the light said go, it seemed as if she was led by some kind of internal map. There was no pausing in her navigation or missteps. Just a straight shot to her destination. "For once, the explanation is pretty simple." She started, taking a left at the next street. "I've been holding onto these things for reasons that are no longer valid, and in order to keep moving forward, I need to lose the dead weight." The last words dripped off her tongue like venom.
It wasn't long until they reached a fairly large building with red embossed letters that read 'Syphon Corp.' hanging over the door. A rotating glass door. Very fancy. They'd spent a pretty penny on that. Finally she turned around to face her tagalong, if only to half-gesture the hand that held the gasoline towards the inside. "This way."
The inside was a pleasant carpeted area with woodgrain walls and a front desk to match. Inside, a secretary busily tapped away at his computer while engaging in a not so formal phone call. What an interesting place to start a path of destruction.

"Yes that certainly doesn't sound like the crazy cat lady you're grooming yourself to be." Forever the gentleman that Titus. Curiosity had him following her, however, patiently (for once) listening while she explained the scenario. "So getting rid of these physical ties is supposed to make you feel better?" The demon asked curiously as they came to a pause in front of a building.
He made no comment on the name on the front following Riyo through the front door. Titus did let out a sharp whistle as he looked around at the inside, his dark gaze shifting over the rather elegant lobby area. "Fancy digs ya got here." He mused. "So is this where the party starts?"

Riyo decided to just ignore the cat lady comment. "In a sense, I suppose so. Truth be told though, most of this isn't mine. At least, I didn't earn it." The demoness explained as she stepped through the glass, pausing momentarily to sit the gasoline down and remove something from her backpack of goodies. It was...
A crowbar. "Yes. This is where the party starts." That she handed to Titus. "Have fun." It was really the only instruction he needed, wasn't it?
Sad how oblivious the secretary seemed, until the ghoul marched up to the desk and hit the end call button without warning.
"What the f- OH, oh. Miss Riyo! How nice to see you. My, you look great today. Did you do something with your hair?" Immediately the secretary tried to cover his a**, propping his elbow up against the monitor in what was undoubtedly an exciting game of solitaire.
"You're fired." Riyo leaned onto the desk and said calmly.
"... Excuse me?"
"I didn't stutter. Take your s**t and go." The mighty aluminum bat rose and practically broke the phone in half. Seemed to be all the incentive the man needed to push right the ******** up out of his seat, grab his bag, and move.
Next went the monitor. Oh what lovely sparks. Name plates, and finally she tipped over the desk itself. So many things to trash. Vases, expensive looking statues, windows. All made their own pretty sounds when they broke into tiny pieces.

"So its not yours and we're going to trash it?" Titus nodded approvingly stroking his goatee in a thoughtful manner. Who would have thought Riyo would take the delinquent path but it was rather amusing. Miss Stiff was starting to loosen up.
Being passed the crowbar and told to have fun there was a sort of sparkle in Titus' eye that was hard to miss. Spinning the item in his hand once he gripped it by the end firmly and followed Riyo toward the reception desk. He watched in awe as she brought the bat down on the phone smashing it to pieces. The man behind the desk made a hasty exit and Riyo continued to smash away at the computer there. Ah, glorious destruction. How Titus had missed you.
"Now this is my idea of a good time," Titus gripped the crowbar in both hands and immediately smashed a large expensive looking painting on the wall. After two hits it came crashing to the floor the large wooden frame splintering in the corners and crumbling. Next he set his eye on the windows and smiled rather gleefully as he went around the room smashing each one in the center with the crowbar, the glass cracking in a spiderweb pattern out to the edges and falling apart in the middle.

Yep. Titus got it.
Had anyone else stopped her on the street and asked what the hell she was doing, Riyo might've contemplated lying to avoid a guilt trip or sit-down discussion on the subject of tearing her mother's business limb from limb, but Titus got it. Perhaps not for the same reasons, but the reasons for once didn't really matter right now.
"Yeah." Riyo started as she equipped the bat like a pool stick and knocked one of her mother's prized vases over. "I kinda figured you'd enjoy this." Had she contemplated inviting him along? Of course. But recent discussions had made even visiting him, well... A little awkward. "Wait until you see the second floor. That's where all the executive meetings are held." Which meant the stuff up there was more valuable. "Oh, and there's also the hellevator." Sure. It was a dangerous endeavor to ride a hellevator and destroy it at the same time, but how many people could claim they'd done such a thing?
Next stop was all the little offices of their demon employees. Rubbing her chin as she looked at the hallway of doors, Riyo ran back to the entrance and grabbed the service bell that had been cast aside when the desk was knocked over.
Then she rang it like crazy. "HERE YE, HERE YE. All my putrid filth I call employees! You are hereby out of a job and need to get the ******** off my property! Any questions on severance pay will be met with the business end of an axe!" One by one they peeked out of their little offices with questioning looks. Then they saw the aluminum bat and the entrance in shambles.
You'd never seen a group of demons move so fast to grab their stuff and hustle out.
Yes, she very much liked seeing them run like cowards. "There's glass on these doors too." even signs with their little names. How wonderful.

"Enjoy this? I love this." Titus held the crowbar so fondly before he proceeded in busting up a lamp. At least he could be gleeful and happy about something. "And there's more expensive stuff upstairs? This keeps getting better and better."
He watched as Riyo rallied her little demon hoard and sent them scattering from the building like roaches from the light. "You sure you want them to run for their lives? Surely you didn't like any of them." Titus swung the crowbar in a full circle before he threw it across the room in a straight shot into the wall like an arrow. When it struck it busted through the plaster and stuck straight out and only inches from the face of a tall and ungracefully thin demon with glasses. The man screeched and clutched his briefcase close before he ducked under the item and ran for the door.
Chuckling deeply Titus made his way across the room to retrieve his crowbar. "Did you see his face?" He laughed a good while longer wiping the tears from his eyes before he looked toward the offices that had just been emptied. Oh be still his beating heart.

Love? Well jeez. "I suppose if you love things like this, today will be a day you won't soon forget."
Smashing one of the windows, she smiled. "There's another stop after this." No need to ruin the surprise, though. He wouldn't know where it was until they were there. The whole event just got more fun, if only because the boil looked truly happy for once.
... Smashing things into smithereens. Well. It was still something.
Riyo had been facing the other way when Titus asked about the employees, and turned around just in time to see one almost get crowbar'd in the face. She propped her arm up against the wall and leaned, shaking her head but at the same time, unable to hold in a laugh. "You're too much sometimes." Once all of the men disappeared out the broken doors, the feline turned back around.
"The reason I was trying to avoid hitting them is because... Well... I'm going to be very poor after this. No money to pay for lawsuits." The ghoul explained as she started smashing in a door, then ran into the office and sent the computer monitor flying. "I hate everybody here. I hated seeing their faces every day I walked in. I hated the way they looked at me, as if they were wolves taking orders from a lamb." With every new addition to the list, a nice chunk was taken out of the middle of the desk. "I hate how they'd look back and stare at me every time I walked down a hall. How they'd start talking in low tones when I'd enter a room. I hate EVERYTHING about this place!"
When the desk had been turned into woodchips, the feline took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "For a long time... I thought it was better to be rich and miserable than to be poor, because the only way a poor person could be was miserable. This way, at least I'd have money." She was reluctant to admit it. How stupid she had been. "But... I realized that this. All this is why I'm miserable in the first place."

"No I suppose I won't." Titus said in an oddly thoughtful manner promptly before moving toward one of the glass doors and smashing it in. He wondered how long they had before the Bogeymen showed up. The station was a fair distance from here but they were known for patrolling. Did he remember the patrolling schedule for this area? Probably not. In the least he had a quick get away considering he could fly but Riyo......ah she'd be fine.
"Oh you have another place in mind after this? Be still my heart." There was another crack and glass showered the ground in tiny pieces. Jack he loved that sound.
He listened to Riyo as she ranted about the place showing a poor hapless monitor who was boss bit by bit. Eventually the desk and everything on it had seen better days and could probably hardly be recognized as a desk anymore. "Ah, so money is the source of your troubles. Here I thought you were just a prude all along."

Moving her hair out of her face, Riyo stood straight up and turned around. "Whelp. Now I am just a prude." The ghoul admitted with a shrug, lazily resting the bat on her shoulder again. "A seedless prude." At the thought, she couldn't help but chuckle. "People have even less reasons to like me~" And for once, such a thought didn't bother her. No, not in the least.
Trotting out of the room, the ghoul dragged the bat along the walls to bust the rest of the office windows. "My personality is awful, I have the body of a stick, I don't put out, and to top it all off: I'm poor." She practically swayed to the elevator, a newfound swing in her step. "But I'm happy." And that was worth more than all the seeds in the world to her.
Lifting the bat straight out, she pressed the up button on the elevator. "T-chan, do you like yourself?" The ghoul asked out of the blue, looking over her shoulder. She thought about clarifying her question for a moment, but decided to let him roll with however he translated it.

" Oh good...I was worried about that," Titus' eyes shifted off to the side when she admitted to still being a prude. Well admitting it was half the battle right? He might have shot back with a 'There was reasons for people too like you' but he managed to keep it to himself as he followed Riyo to the elevator. Ah elevator, so many memories of making Riyo climb stairs in ridiculous shoes. " I would have to agree with you on some level of personality and figure," Titus admitted while stepping into the elevator resting the crowbar on his shoulder. And then came his deplorable nickname. T-chan. It made his eye twitch every time but he avoided saying anything about it. " Like myself? Why kind of silly question is that? Of course I like myself. I'm awesome."

His agreements didn't seem to agitate her in the least. She'd said them for a reason, after all.
As Riyo stepped onto the elevator, she pushed the second floor button and looked around at the marble panels. "Yes. Awesome. Especially with that little caterpillar on your chin." The ghoul joked, swinging the bat at the panels without warning. What a lovely loud crashing sound it made.
"It's not a silly question, though. I just wanted to know if that confidence was a disguise for some kind of insecurity you might've tucked under years of anger and sadism." Whack. Whack. Whack. Little pieces of the rock were starting to chip off. In Riyo's opinion, it looked better than ever.
