 Nura was booored!
It had been a great thrill to ditch her dad and sisters to get on her own, but after the thrill of achievement had faded Nura discovered that being alone, with no one to torment at all, was so much more boring than being nagged. Not that she felt like she'd left the nagging completely behind; a little voice inside her head (sounding suspciously like Isra) wouldn't quit whispering that she should go home now before she got in a huge amount of trouble.
She ignored it as thoroughly as she ignored her sister.
Still...
Nura sighed and flopped on the ground, raising a paw to bat at her bangs. So. Boring!

 He didn't know what made him figure he could fly far now, but hey you only live once. That is his motto for now. Tian felt that to explore better meant to fly, so he flapped his little wings and headed in a direction. He wasn't that far off the ground, but it was enough to get him going.
Hovering over an area, his wings tired suddenly. And he dropped just as quickly...

Nura let out a startled little squeak as a bundle of periwinkle fur plumeted out of the sky and landed very close to her. She surged to her feet and jumped sideways, heart hammering as she stared wildly at the bundle of fur and feathers.
It was a kit! A male kit, by the look of the bushy tail, but she'd never seen such a feminine blue before.
"What the hell," she demanded in an indignant voice. "Who the heck are you?"

A squeak told him that he landed near another fox, but not what kind. Tian peeked out from his feathers, spotting black and purple. He just had to land with no grace, in front of another kit..A Female at that, by her tone.
Pushing himself to his feet, Tian stares at the other. A quick smile, "Well that is not the greeting I was expecting, but I am fine. Thank you for asking." He doesn't feel any pain in his wings so that was good.

Nura rolled her eyes. "You want a greeting? Maybe you should announce yourself in the normal fashion instead of just falling out of the sky like that. Geez." She eyeballed the male up and down. "You sure you're even a boy? You look and whine like a girl." She stuck her tongue out at the male.

"Yes well...Maybe you can fly further with your wings, but I was flying further. Next time you are around, I will call down to you as I fall." He stepped closer to inspect the female. She was different than any other, attitude wise, that he knew.
"Funny thing that...I should of been one, but a higher being thought my parents needed another boy." His tail swished behind him, as he thought a game was about to start.

Nura tossed her hair out of her face. She wasn't necessarily hostile, she just had attitude and a need to always get the last word. Much to the dismay of her father and sisters and, to a lesser extent, her mother.
She gave the male a pointed lookover with her bright red eyes. "What, so you're just a late bloomer or something?"

Her comment caught him off guard, and he had to twitch his ears. Running his tail along her face, "Does this look like a girl tail? It wont change, not any time soon."

Nura smiled impishly. "You never know. Maybe your hair will fall out later." Then she shrugged. "Or it could just be like that. I've seen chicks with bushy tails before, even if they aren't that common.
But you know-," she continued, getting back her impish and flipping back her hair, "-we all start out as females in the womb, and if you're going to be a male you grow the parts later. So when I was asking about you being a late bloomer, I wasn't talking about your tail."

He shook his head. What was up with this female?! "I was testing you." He took another look at her, smirking. "So are you a boy, waiting to get your parts?" His eyebrows cocked, waiting.

"Who asks a lady that kind of question, you pervert? I'm not spinning around and flipping up my tail for you." Nura stuck out her tongue. "Maybe your parts will shrivel up and drop off to really make you a lady, for your punishment."
Inside Nura was grinning hugely. She couldn't really get into this kind of banter with his sisters. Maybe Yoru, but once they started getting loud unwanted parental intervention cut the debate off right when it was getting to the fun part.
Hopefully this boy was up for it and didn't wuss out over hurt feelings. Nura was finally entertained!

His eyes quirk up at that. "Now I wasn't even thinking that, until now. Dad warned me about girls like you." He lifted a paw to swat at her nose. "That is not lady like at all."
A grin played on his face. This was different and he was enjoying the banter. He settled back on his haunches, trying to look casual while waiting for an chance to pounce and feel her hair. Even short is was intriguing to him right now.

"Haven't thought about it, and you know what qualifies to make a lady. Yup, you must be a girl," Nura teased. "Or gay."
She unconsciously mirrored the boy's position. It was something you learned real quick as a kit, especially of the fiesty variety. Part of winning a pouncing match was being prepared, and Nura was a pro at using conversation as a distraction. Her eyes twinkled with her amusement at the challenge.

He chuckled. "Just because I didn't think of looking for your lady parts, I am a girl? or gay?" His nose crinkled as he thought about it. "Not all guys think the same way. Dad taught me to treat vixens nicely unless they started it." Tian felt his wings twitch as the female mirrored him. This would be interesting as he stood up to circle her. "Names Tian, by the way."

Nura stood up and continued mirroring Tian, not letting the male get behind her. It was already natural instinct for a winged creature to protect the delicate flight instruments on their back, which was why Nura thought they made superior pouncers than normals.
Well, most of them. Isra couldn't have pulled off a proper pounce to save her life, no matter now much Nura helped her "practice"!
She had a huge grin on her face as she flipped her bangs away from her eyes. "Oh really? So what do you do if a girl does start it, hm? Challenge me to a hair-braiding contest?" She pulled a silly, mocking face, then went right back to grinning.
"I'm Nura," she added, having at least some sense of manners beat into her by her two polite parents.
