Personal

Name: Abigail O'Connor

Alias: Batgirl

Nick Names: Abby, Abbs

Universe: DC

Alliance: Hero

Age: 16

Height: 5'4"

Weight: 125 lbs

Physical Characteristics: Abby is an attractive teenager with fair skin, red hair and blue eyes. Due to training with the Batfamily for several years Abby's body has become toned and muscular.

Personality: Abby is a sweet, friendly girl to most people she meets, though angering her is not a good idea. The Poison Ivy she knows found this out the hard way when she captured Tim Drake, Abby's boyfriend at the time, and brainwashed him. Events like these, as well as the effects of puberty, have led to a slightly darker, more proactive turn in Abby's generally cheerful and meek persona, but this only shows when around people that drive her to anger, such as Poison Ivy.

Likes: Singing, dancing, playing the violin, crime-fighting.

Dislikes: Criminals

Fears: The deaths of her family, and the deaths of the Batfamily

Bio: In one of the fifty-one divergent realities from New Earth, Abby O'Connor was born in Tuam, County Galway, Ireland as the youngest of seven children. By the time she was thirteen, her family decided to move to America and settled in Gotham City, with Abby enrolling at Gotham Academy alongside her sister Caitlin and brothers Mickey and Sean. It was around this time that Abby discovered she was a metahuman after being taken to a magic show hosted by Zatanna Zatara, an actual sorceress. Zatanna sensed the immensely powerful magical aura emanating from Abby, and after taking her backstage once the show was over, the Homo Magi informed Abby of her power, which Zatanna determined gave good luck to others.

Some time after this, Abby was walking to her home at night and accidentally ran into the villainous Two-Face. She escaped from him and his goons after unintentionally showing off her good luck powers with her field continuously making Two-Face's coin land on heads, allowing her to live through various threats he tried to use to hurt her. Abby was forced to run through Gotham and unintentionally wound up at Wayne Manor. She was greeted by Tim Drake (whom she immediately developed a crush on), and in her excitement accidentally let slip that she had powers. This was heard by Bruce Wayne, who had also come to meet her, and though neither of them knew it at the time (though Bruce probably figured it out afterward), Abby's good luck power subtly influenced his train of thought as he conversed with Abby, and he soon recruited her as the newest Batgirl, though he only allowed her to don the suit after a full year of training, similarly to Tim Drake when he became the third Robin. During this period, Abby became quite close to Tim (who was fifteen at the time), and they entered into a relationship.

Recruiting Abby as the newest Batfamily member turned out to actually have been a good decision, as Abby, thanks due both her willingness to learn as well as her good luck power, excelled at Bruce's training regimens and proved herself capable of fighting Batman's rogues gallery and even some people who weren't part of it, such as one time where she held off Deathstroke by herself before Nightwing and Red Robin showed up to help her. However, there was at least one time where Abby was injured and had to be sidelined due to being too eager to jump into action and becoming reckless and too reliant on her good luck power. She wised up after that, though.

When the Collision Event occurred, Abby was thrown into it, but doesn't yet know that such an event happened in the first place, nor that the Batfamily she knows more than likely did not join her in the process, so she's currently on her own. Thankfully, she has three years of tutelage to help her out, so she won't have too much trouble.

Powers/Abilities

Powers:

Good Luck Field: Abby's only superhuman ability is the manipulation of probability and chance to "bring good luck" onto others. Abby is incapable of controlling her power of good luck, which manifests as an invisible, incredibly powerful aura around her and the immediate area she is in, for a radius of twenty feet. (If a magic-user senses her aura, it will appear to them as a light green, semi-transparent dome of energy that surrounds Abby and everything around her within that twenty-foot radius.) In general, this field positively affects all beings within it unless they are of an "Evil" alignment, and at times when Abby has been in immediate danger of serious physical harm from "evil" people, this "good luck field" seems to "shut off" its own area affect while still working for Abby; this allows her to get out of many unpleasant situations unscathed. As with her power in general, Abby cannot control this when it happens.

To go into more detail about how the field works: For Abby herself, her power translates to: "Things will work out for the better"; if she's in mortal danger, for example, something will happen to make sure she stays alive, while everything else she does has increased chances of working out well for her. If she is injured, she will wind up healing more quickly and more completely than most people, despite the fact that she doesn't have a "real" healing factor. For those within the field around her, the field increases chances of success at whatever they do, so long as they are not of an "Evil" alignment. If they're "evil", the field will not help them at all and in fact will likely hinder them somehow; for example, attempting to use a gun will cause it to jam or miss its target completely, or their powers will temporarily fail them. As for other people, the amount of good luck they receive is tied to their morality: The more good the person is within Abby's field, the more often things will work out well for them.

Basically, the hierarchy goes like this: Abby > Heroes > Neutral people > Anti-heroes (depending on how heroic they are) > Villains (who never benefit from her field).

Weakness(es): Barring the fact that her good luck ability tends to keep Abby from getting hurt (or at least seriously so), she has all the weaknesses of an ordinary human.

There is a failsafe for her powers that Abby discovered the hard way: Should she become too reckless with her well-being, or attempt to abuse her power for something completely selfish (such as attempting to rig a lottery for herself or con someone out of something simply because she thinks she can), her powers will not simply shut off-- they will backfire completely on her and bring her constant bad luck for a short period of time, and will affect only her.

Usually, Abby's good luck field keeps her from getting injured; however, at times when this is not the case, her good luck field will shut off if she is knocked unconscious or similarly incapacitated, while remaining active for her.

Abilities:

Peak Human Conditioning: Through continuous intense training, Abby possesses peak level strength, stamina, speed, reflexes and agility for a teenager of her height, weight, build, and age. However, Abby is not fully grown, so should she remain in peak condition as an adult, these levels will likely be even higher.

Martial Arts (Advanced): Due to training with the Batfamily for several years (and her good luck power helping her out in picking the skills up quickly), Abby has become highly proficient in martial arts, incorporating styles of Tim Drake, d**k Grayson and Bruce Wayne. This proficiency has been shown where she can duel augmented humans like Deathstroke or Bane for a time before being overwhelmed; her good luck power also helps with this, but she can and would still ultimately lose due to lacking the experience of such fighters.

Staff Fighting (Advanced): Abby was trained by Tim Drake in the art of fighting with staffs, and is proficient to the point of nearly matching Tim himself when they spar.

Master Gymnast: Training with the Batfamily allowed Abby to become highly proficient at gymnastics.

Throwing: Abby was trained by the Batfamily to be highly proficient with throwing Batarangs and other small projectiles.

Stealth: Abby's training under Batman taught her how to utilize stealth to her advantage. While not quite as stealthy as Batman himself yet, she's more than capable of moving around unnoticed when she needs to.

Skills:

Singing: Abby is naturally talented at singing, and has hopes of one day making it big in the business.

Violinist: Abby is also naturally talented with playing the violin, and hopes to incorporate it into her singing should she ever get such a career.

Other

Favorite Motto/Saying: "May you be half an hour in Heaven before the Devil knows you're dead."

Favorites:

-Food: Steak and potatoes

-Color: Green (of course)

-Music: Modern and traditional Irish music, classical violin music, the Beatles, and some American rock music from the 1960s through the 80s. She also has expressed interest in a capella bands such as Van Canto. Her favorite song is "The Rocky Road to Dublin", an Irish folk song.

Hate List: Poison Ivy (for brainwashing her reality's Tim Drake and forcing Abby to fight him).
