Personality: Desiree is childish, slightly naïve, and all around sweet. She hates seeing others hurt and will do anything to keep that from happening, even if it means lying and bottling her true feelings up inside, rarely to show another soul. However, she is slowly falling apart, losing her grip on reality, and falling into a depression no one can see, yet. Though she is naïve, it is only about certain things, she knows her mom (Brittany), left them (her and her sister), and that her mother or Mami (Santana) is dead. She can get angry, though it is rare, and she often feels bad about it later. She lies very well and can sometimes fool herself into thinking everything is okay, even when it is not.

Background Information
It happened around Christmas time, back when Desiree and Eva were younger, elementary school age. Santana was home when a burglar decided to break into their New York apartment. Santana stood up to the man, who had an itchy trigger finger, and when Santana began to mouth off, he shot her. Brittany was devastated and took off, leaving Desiree and Eva in her parent’s care. Ever since then, they have lived in Lima, hoping and praying that their mom would come to her senses and return to the children that she left behind.
Desiree, now a junior, at McKinley, is beginning to fall apart, spending more time at the local music store alone, than with anyone else. She has even considered quitting the Cheerios, because she no longer has the enthusiasm about it that she used to when she was a freshman.
