Jicho'la'dhoruba did not often travel during midday. It was usually hot, dreadfully so, but this particular afternoon wasn't too terribly bad and, the flip side, most other predators chose to rest during the day's hottest hours. This usually let the young lioness travel without much worry of attack from other lions. The danger was always there, but it was somewhat lessened and on this particular day, she had little want to do with others. The young lioness was eager to find a place to call home, a den or something in which to settle down for a while. She'd been travelling for ages, nearly constantly since she had left her former pride. Her white tipped paws were tired and she found her mind wandering towards all the faces she had met thus far. Maybe she should have followed them. Maybe Ulfric could have led her to a pride she could call home. She didn't want to seem needy, but... She sighed and shifted the weight of the satchel that was slung across her pink and white marked back. The sound of bowls, bones, and glass rattled and she frowned somewhat, hoping she hadn't unsettled anything important.

She had a peculiar scent coming off of her, one that effectively masked the scent of lion, beneath it. Today, she smelled of sweet flowers. Tomorrow? Who knows what. The satchel she carried, however, was filled to the brim with many different perfumes, ones that she had concocted herself and rolled in daily to hopefully keep her scent hidden. The life of a rogue lioness was a dangerous one. She had no kin to watch her back and, thus, tended to be somewhat skittish.

The female of soft, creamy hues continued on her way, very much unaware of just how close she was to Albion's edges. She'd never traveled this direction before, but she figured it was worth a shot. She'd done her best thus far to trade for knowledge, enough to avoid the more dangerous prides completely, but this region was entirely unknown to the young wanderer, who let her paws and heart guide her, as though a compass sat in her chest, the needle swinging north, toward her own natural and subconscious desires.

He was proud of himself, though he was usually proud of himself. He had managed to sneak away a very nice necklace trinket from one of the richer nobles. He hadn't expected to get it, but with some distraction from Voleur.. It had been simpler than he had imagined. He didn't worry about Voleur. The little Cheeton was quick as anything he'd ever seen. He was never caught, and had never even come close. Whereas Asher, he wished he had the speed the hybrid had. But he supposed just having Vol on his team was a huge plus.

The lion was a leaner, tall lion. He didn't have the bulk that a lot of males had. Though it helped him get away, and he didn't have to worry about being -too- slow for his antics. What would the creatures do without him? Likely starve.. And he couldn't have that.

His dark cloak was pulled over her head, helping him blend with the forest that he lived in. He would stand out otherwise, his mane like fire. He threw the necklace over his head and caught himself gazing at it. It's stone was a bright emerald, and he hadn't seen too many of those around. He smiled again, remembering what it took to get it. Ah, the good life.

The only true downside when it came to her skill set, was the fact that her perfumes cloyed her own sense of smell in the process. Her nose was delicate to the intricacies of smell, but at the moment, the only thing that reached her was the scent of flowers. Thus, the young lioness pressed onward cautiously, her other senses, sight and hearing, functioning at a slightly higher capacity.

It was as she pushed through the dense underbrush that she froze, every muscle stiffening. Her tan ears stood erect and her tail lashed slightly. She had thought she had heard movement, but she saw nothing, now. At least, nothing particularly obvious caught her violet eyes. A slight frown etched across her dark, rubbery lips and she slowly moved her forepaw, which was still up and pointed out in mid step, towards the earth beneath her.

It may have been hard for her to smell with her profession, but it made her like a target to him. The smell of her was enticing, and he found himself drawn to where it was coming from. Floral, almost fruit type scents were wafting in his direction. He had smelled a few lionesses, and even the occasional male, that had enjoyed delving into the idea of perfumes. But he had never taken an interest, he relied on being sneaky. Perfumes had a habit of doing the opposite.

He heard her movements, and he heard that they stopped when he began approaching. He normally was so careful, but this time apparently he had slipped. He was thankful when his eyes were drawn to the female. She was lovely, and he knew her as part of the middle class. She was a pretty little thing, and he had looked at her a few times when he saw her around Albion. Though he was almost positive she had never seen him.

"Good day!" He called out jovially.

She hadn't been in Albion long, only a few turns of the moon, but she was happy enough there. It was safe, she had friends, she could work with little trouble. It was life and it was uneventful, which was just fine with her. There were thieves around, ones the upperclass despised, but she did her best to avoid them and stay on good terms with the lions that ruled the roost. She wanted to stay. It was better here than in her birth pride, which she vividly remembered not enjoying as a youth and had no intention of returning to.

Thus, she had never met Asher. In fact, she'd never seen him before at all. She hadn't seen him now and, certain her mind was playing tricks on her, she lifted a stockinged paw to move on, only to have her attention drawn towards the same location she had scanned only moments ago. So she wasn't completely crazy and she had heard something. Her rounded ears pricked and her narrowed eyes softened as she caught sight of the handsome male who came towards her. A smile splayed across her lips as she perked up.

"Good day to you, sir! Out for a walk? The weather is more than pleasant for it."

Asher's life was far from uneventful, but that was likely thanks to his chosen career. It was a bit dangerous, the job he did. Okay, it was really dangerous. But he enjoyed it, because he knew that the rich were mostly selfish. Some feasted and engorged themselves. While the lower class sometimes went to sleep with an empty belly. Hunting was becoming hard, when Ouran was taxing others so much that he was even starting to take their kills from their hunts. It was as if he was trying to kill all the lower class off. But Asher wasn't about to have any of that.

He dug into his satchel, pulling out a golden necklace he had stolen from Ouran himself. He had a habit of donating to the others as they walked past. He knew they could trade for other things amongst themselves. Though he hoped she was careful, he would hate to see Ouran trying to get to that necklace if she didn't keep it hidden.. He would too, as he wouldn't notice it was his, but he would want it anyway.

"Just doing my job for the day." He said, a smile on his features as he handed her the gleaming jewelry. He was surprised Ouran hadn't taken all her perfumes too. He was becoming such a tyrant, that Asher was making sure he didn't get away with it.

"Keep it hidden, my dear. I'd hate to see that codfish trying to take this from you. You can probably trade it for a good meal or so. It's yours now regardless." He said, his eyes looking around to make sure no one was seeing their interaction. He did this with all of the lower and middle classes, stealing from the rich, to gift to them.

She wasn't sure what he was rummaging for, but he seemed like a nice fellow. Her eyes lit up when he pulled out the golden necklace. She didn't recognize it, but it cheered her. Her heart skipped a beat as she accepted the golden necklace with her stockinged paw.

"Th-thank you! To what do I owe the pleasure?" She could easily trade it for a meal. As much as she enjoyed making her perfumes, they didn't always pay that well. She sat comfortably in the middle class, or at least she did, but times were getting harder, leaner, and she knew exactly what the male meant when he said "keep it hidden." Ouran would take it. His taxing was increasing to the point that everyone was suffering to some extent, some worse than others. She would eat tonight and quite possibly tomorrow, which was what mattered.

"How can I repay you?"
