YOUNG GIRL

Name:

Roxxy is her self-appointed name, her birth name actually being Shauna Malone. Just don't let her catch you saying it.

Color:

#960018 █████ - Carmine

Age:

Fourteen

Nationality:

A genetic mutt, Roxxy lacks any cultural heritage to speak of. All that can really be said is that she was born in the US and has fair skin, so likely Germanic.

Home/Financial Status:

Lower class, think wrong-side of the tracks, trailer trash.

School:

Quail Continued High School - though she is absent so often you wouldn't know it.

Personality:

Ah, Roxxy, she's a lovely young girl with a bubbly personality to boot; just kidding. No, a person who so easily casts off her own birth name to replace it with something as gaudy as Roxxy is nothing but trouble, and she lets you know it. To put it as tenderly as possible, Roxxy is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks; both literally and figuratively speaking. The first word one can use in describing her is "sadistic", at least to some minor degree. Every action and word seems to quite naturally draw some manner of hurt from others, intentional or not. With a grating attitude and short temper, Roxxy can leave more sensitive girls a little shaken or in tears with just a few cruel words. There is some psychological reasoning behind her careless abandon for the feelings of others, and to put it simply, it was how she herself was raised. What goes around comes around, even if the person it's coming to doesn't rightfully deserve it.

Her sadism very rarely escalates into physical altercations, even while Roxxy's joking can border on "bullying," it's not as if every action is done with the express intent of drawing a tear. It is simply in her nature, or rather, upbringing, to not really notice when she has simply gone too far. This, unfortunately, is not the only trait that can be attributed to her upbringing. Roxxy holds an absolute disdain for the wealthy. It simply doesn't matter how friendly you are; if you were born into money, any act of kindness or good intent will be seen as "looking down" upon her, and will most often be met with harsh rejection (typically in the form of curse words). But really, Roxxy's bark is certainly worse than her bite. A girl who prefers cursing and yelling to actual physical violence.

This is not to infer that young Roxxy's personality is completely negative or unpleasant. No, it is to say that her reactions are powerful. She can very easily judge a small infraction or criticism as something much greater than it is, and can in turn react poorly to it. However, over all, Roxxy is a loud, but friendly personality. If one can get passed her insecurities, her insults and her lack of etiquette, she can prove herself a loyal and capable friend. Really, all it takes is the stomach to handle her rather forceful manner.

Though, all of that is what's on the surface, what can said to be the shallowest part of her personality. Roxxy is outwardly strong and aggressive, willing to pick a fight or hold a defense at the drop of a hat, reflecting the day to day struggle she herself knows well. Emotionally, she is a bit of a train wreck, fumbling with how to maintain a powerful, intimidating personality, when at home she is seen as the bottom man on the totem. It is difficult being of a broken home, and not having the money necessary to fit in with many of her classmates. Roxxy's unruly behavior, her ditching and even her "style," can all be pinned back to her insecurities at home, and the fact that it is better to be an outcast because you are frightening, than it is to be an outcast for wearing tattered, dirty clothes.

Due to bullying she suffered as a child, Roxxy's mind is laden with suspicions, which would explain why she reacts so poorly to the support of others. In her mind, people are naturally selfish, and so, such an act must have an ulterior motive. She does not mope about her life, as one may expect. While her circumstances are a burden to bear, Roxxy is lashing out at the world rather than questioning, "why me?" She is antagonistic, burying her true emotions deep down alongside her birth name.

There is one way to get through to Roxxy, however. To break her facade and reach the softer part of her rather unpredictable personality, one must simply have an affinity for the same thing that she does; music. Since childhood, the youth has gobbled up any and all music. As she grew older, more rebellious against the circumstances of her life, Roxxy clung to the kind of music Punk musicians created, feeling a kinship with their struggles against more powerful forces than themselves. If one were to strike up a conversation, show her an instrument or even compliment her tastes or abilities, Roxxy would become a drastically different girl, begging one to question her entirely delinquent reputation.

Appearance:

doodle doodloo

Countering her "intimidation factor," Roxxy stands a bit shorter than the majority of girls in her age. Accompanying this, she is scrawny, fair-skinned and lacking considerably in bust. Her overall demeanor is tomboyish, and it shows in how she dresses and acts. Roxxy is a fan of street punk, especially in her clothing. Fishnets, stockings, skirts, jeans, leather jackets, boots big and tall, even her clothing can come in a variety of colors; though frequently she stays to reds and neon oranges, along with black and white.

Now, Roxxy is slowly getting over the "blooming stage," and much of her physical features seem pretty set. While not unpleasant to the eyes, her lips are frequent to grinning or smiling in a rather unsettling way. Her eyes are an intense shade of red, Carmine, though her face still retains some childlike roundness to it, despite the sharp point of her chin. The first thing one is often to look at when laying eyes upon her, however, is her hair. While naturally a very dark cocoa color, the majority of it has been dyed black and styled into an asymmetrical undercut, with only one side of her head shaved down, though a good half-inch of hair remains covering her scalp. The rest is draped over the opposite side of Roxxy's head, curving down where the tips extend just barely to her chin, gradually becoming shorter as her hairline reaches the back of her head. Much of this draped hair, almost too the top of her skull, is dyed a vivid shade of red.

Roxxy also maintains one facial piercing in the form of small silver ring through the tapered end of her right eyebrow.

History:

When Roxxy's mother, Sharlene, met her father David, it was love at first sight - even if Sharlene was only seventeen and her soon to be lover twenty-one. However, age didn't matter, not to them. Even if they could not legally be wed, it didn't mean they couldn't love each other. Within months of meeting, they had professed their love and conceived Roxxy, then Shauna Malone. With a baby on the way, it never occurred to them to spend the time or money to get married or have a wedding. That was just legal trouble, after all. So long as they were together, that was all they needed.

After Shauna's birth, the family met hard times. Sharlene kept getting pregnant, kept popping out babies. David turned to the bottle to cope with all the hungry, screaming mouths and grabby little hands. He simply couldn't hold a job the way he was, and neither could Sharlene. She had, after all, devoted much of her life straight from school to this man and his children; she just didn't have enough skills! There was never a memory in Shauna's head of a large home. Typically, they were stuffy apartments with an extra sibling or two cramped into one room. Though, it sometimes got worse. By the time she was eight, they were in a trailer living barely within the limits of town. As the oldest, her clothes should have rightfully been the newest, but they weren't. Her brother, younger by her than one year, always seemed to be a bit bigger than her. He even hit his growth spurt before her, too! So, the order of clothing was, it was first purchased from a second hand store, then passed on to her younger brother, and then finally to her. Shauna never got to keep an outfit for long, and it was never received in good condition. Not to mention the fact that as a girl, she never once wore a dress or skirt.

Elementary school was no kinder than home. With her dumpy clothes, her ratty hair and her poor social etiquette earned Shauna many cruel nicknames. In the fifth grade, the boy she professed her love to (or at least as close as an awkward young girl could get to it), pushed her in the mud. There were the small things that made life bearable, though. Even though they were always behind a generation or two in technology, Shauna loved music. She huddled over radios listening to poor quality songs and drank them in. They were her sanctuary, and she loved it.

As middle school approached, Shauna swore to try harder. She wanted to reinvent herself! If she was going to be rejected by her peers, it would be on her terms, because she was didn't WANT to be part of their cliques! The summers, the weekends, Shauna worked. She walked dogs, mowed lawns, delivered papers and washed cars, all to collect the starting money she needed. One day, when she had enough, Shauna looked through the music store window in awe - that's what she wanted, a guitar.

And so she bought it, lugging that heavy electric piece home. It was second hand, it was old and it wasn't pretty, but it was the first thing in her life that had ever been just for her. Shauna loved it like it was her child, hiding it away from the prying eyes of her curious siblings and her father, who would have been angered to the point of rage if he had seen her "flippant spending". This guitar wasn't the only thing she bought, however; Shauna also bought clothes. She reinvented herself, becoming Roxxy, the strong girl who didn't need a boy, or parents, or any stupid rules! All she needed was herself, a real force that could send any would-be bully running in fear with the threat of being absolutely crushed. There was no harrowing occasion where Roxxy faces her father, either; she hid her new "style" for months before her absences caught up with her. In the end, with so many children to worry about, her folks nonchalantly let it go on, though to say they accepted it would be going a bit too far. Roxxy cast aside her old self, teaching herself to play her precious guitar out in the fields near her trailer home. Even if the rumors spread that she ditched school to run with a gang, smoke or snatch things from the market, Roxxy knew the truth. She was going to keep this up, become amazing enough with her guitar and show everyone they were wrong about Roxxy and about Shauna.

Years later, Roxxy has fully grown into her new self. Now a fairly talented musician, she has few friends, most just as misbehaved and poorly raised as herself. While she had previously rarely attended school, mandatory tardy police have practically forced her to into regular attendance.

Family:

(SPOILER!! This section sucks, you should run away while you can!..)

David Malone (Father, 37) - Or simply Dave, he has but two notable traits - the amount of liquor he drinks and the fact that he actually has no job, which contributes greatly to his families pitiable living conditions. The least responsible of her parents, he is quick to doll out punishment and harsh words, even when no offense has been committed. Rarely a notably friendly man, and even less often a sober one, his personality leaves a lot to be desired, and his continued relationship with Sharlene is more for stability and easy access to "the goods," then genuine love, these days.

Sharlene Malone (Mother, 33) - Working as a cleaning lady, Roxxy's mother is the only source of income in their household. Well, save for the occasional job of mowing lawns of walking dogs that Roxxy herself has long since ceased receiving. While much gentler towards her children than her partner, she is still a strict disciplinarian, and likely the source of Roxxy's lack of patience.

(Various Siblings ranging from 13 to 4 years old) - I'm lazy Ill do something maybe with this if it ever gets pertinent.

PUELLA MAGI

Language:

English or German works.

Desires:

Roxxy has many desires, firstly, as cliche as it sounds, to fit in. She has always been an outcast for circumstances that she has no control over. Though this desire will likely manifest more in a wish to control and have power over her life and the lives of others, rather than to just get along better. In Roxxy's eyes, her inability to fit in has always been the result of how her parents live, and she abstains from feelings of responsibility. Roxxy also desires to become a talented musician, to ascend to the top and to fame so that she can be the child that her parents need her to be; because as much strife as there is between them, it pains her to see them live the way that they do. Roxxy also desires to be as strong as she forwardly acts, although perhaps not in the bullying fashion she is accustomed to.

I think overall, Roxxy's eventual wish would be more out of a desire to be a magical girl than anything. She wants fulfillment, to be "big" in any way. And what better way than getting magical powers?

Emblem:

Crass Symbol

Weapon:

An electric guitar with razor sharp spikes lining the outside of the body, making it useful as a club.

Type of Magic:

Roxxy's offense would rely heavily on the magic gifted to her, and would passively work through her guitar via sound conversion and manipulation. Basically, by plucking strings, playing a chord or verse, she could send out a gust to throw something back, or even razor wind that could slice through the air in a given direction. This would not be her only magic, but the extent of how her fighting style is directly benefited by the transformation to a magical girl, and perhaps a power of the guitar itself rather than herself. I think her wish will likely influence the type of magic she ultimately obtains. Electricity may even play a part in it, just given the fact she loves her electric guitar.

While it may not be important to put here, I picture Roxxy as a fighter who works within a small to medium range (depending on how she utilizes her guitar). She would be pretty fast, but each individual attack would be fairly weak unless she put some real magic behind it. So, her magic should reflect this. However, Roxxy definitely wouldn't be one to deal out buffs. She enjoys the thrill of the fight, not the "working as a team" things - but she'll learn to appreciate it.

Outfit:

Something very street punk and flexible. Perhaps not exactly feminine, but with a skirt somewhere - hell, it can be over pants for all I care. Honestly, it's up to you, hahah. Oh, and music and junk, too. However, the use of sparkles, or perhaps more likely, glitter, would seem pretty fitting with her puella magi "uniform".

WITCH FORM:
Name:
Dilithase (One of the games Siren sisters who fought against Odysseus and his men Jason and Argunats)
Type:
The Blaring Musician Witch (Alternatively, the "Blaring Noise Witch")
Description:
The Blaring Musician Witch who desires an infinite number of admirers. In life, she craved praise, but now all she craves is to deafen those who's talents surpass her own.
Nature:
Tumultuous
Appearance:
Dilithase stands roughly 7" tall, her body composed primarily of a a guitar. At first glance, she appears very similar to her once signature instrument; though the colors are running, dripping down from it's base like a perpetual flow of colorful tears. The body of the guitar is upright, with it's rounder base taking the spot of the witch's hips, the dip and smaller portion of the body acting as her bust, and then the neck acting as her own elongated one. While one may assume that Dilithase has no head, in truth, the appropriately named "headstock" is her face.

This body, is however, a decoy. Just as Roxxy was incapable of ever being true to herself, her witch is also a master of illusions. The guitar lacks any external limbs, and seems to hover above the ground, moving around as Dilithase is engaged. Should a clever Puella Magi cut the taught strings of her guitar or crack the already faltering material, one will find that Dilithase is in fact not the guitar. Much like how an angler fish will display a brightly colored lure to lure in it's prey, or how the Sirens fooled sailors with their beautiful voices, Dilithase is in fact not the guitar; but the stage that it is set upon.

Her true form becomes obvious once her guitar has been damaged, at which point the single light that would have followed her false body's movements would suddenly flicker off, and the many television screens and lights composing the back wall of the stage would light up. While beyond the blaring lights one might make out the silhouette of a girl in one of the large displays, likely the mass of writhing red tendrils that had once been attached to the guitar, and until it's destruction quite invisible due to the lack of light, would draw their attention first.

As her true self, Dilithase is a relatively simple creation. A large stage lined with lit up monitors and lights, with several speaks blaring tense music, she is quite "open" in this state. After all, any opponent is likely on top of her already. However, Dilithase's freed tendrils, which bear a striking resemblance to her once obnoxiously dyed hair, will thrash and stab out at others. If they grab you, be wary, as the monitors may shift to pull you deep within her body where you might never escape.
Barrier/Maze:
Dilithase's maze comes off as very industrial. It is lit only by the sparse stand-lights that one might expect to see at a concert. In fact, her stage is very reminiscent of a rock concert. It is open, easy to access, and practically begging people to enter. Music would float faintly through the air, it's source Dilithase's guitar (though it would grow much, much louder when she reveals her true body). The concrete walls and even the asphalt ground are lined with posters which sport Roxxy's name written in witch runes, along with the name of her actual witch form.

Upon approaching the witch herself, a single light beam with a seemingly invisible source from above would blare down, illuminating Dilithase's guitar and enticing people to draw closer. Her stage is littered with music sheets, the walls blocking off the area behind her stage are jarringly different - forms of stacked trailers with uncut grass and weeds poking out from the bottom of this "wall". A final warning, as if from Roxxy herself, is scratched into the asphalt just a few feet before her stage, though barely visible due to the poor lighting. It simply says, "NOT ME".
Location:
Downtown Lynn District. The fact that her maze is location so close to a construction site may explain it's industrial, rough look. Those effected by the witch find that all noise that is not produced by Dilithase is muted. Their lives are dominated by the distant sound of noise, no matter how hard they might try to drown it out. They are eventually drawn by the maddening sound towards the dangerous construction sites of the Lynn District, where, in the shambling dark, even if they don't enter her barrier they will certainly find peril.
Attack(s):
Dilithase is an aggressive, if not clumsy witch. Due to her dual forms, and the fact that both are wholly offensive, she can be a difficult witch for any unprepared girl to handle. Her forms maintain different attack styles, however, which can require a quick change of strategy mid-fight. Dilithase's guitar is constantly producing music, though it will occasionally screech out a single note with the strength to blow a girl before it back. The taut metal stringers extend from her headband, flowing wildly with each jerked movement and tumble. However, it will at times lash out to lacerate any girl in sight, or worse, make an attempt to strangle them.

Not only this, but Dilithase's strings are used to grab onto her own minions, assuming control directly to use them as a means of attack absorption or something to throw. Finally, Dilithase's guitar maintains the spiked edges that Roxxy's had, although unlike hers they can be fired much like projectiles towards anyone standing at her side.

Finally, when Dilithase's true body, her stage, is forced into attack, the tendrils that had once controlled her guitar now act as her main means of offense. Despite acting in a manner similar to her guitar strings, the fact that they are so much larger means that rather than a laceration or deep bruising, they can downright crush a girl if enough force is put behind them.

Dilithase uses sound and light even more this time around. As her lights flutter one, they will direct themselves towards an opponent in order to blind them, while blaring music from the speakers lining her sides to further disorient. The main objective of the true Dilithase is to seemingly draw her enemies into her. To which end she will snag any girl with a tendril if possible, and much like an octopus, pull them towards a "beak" hidden between her monitors and mass of writhing grabbers.
Grief Seed:
Dilithase's griefseed is somewhat unique, as the silver metal of it's body seem to display a faint rainbow when under light, as if under the effect of a lightshow. The main emblem remains a crass symbol, while atop appears to be the shape of a spiked stud.

MINION #1 FORM:
Name:
Stan
Duty:
Fanaticism
Description:
Existing for the sole purpose of craving Dilithase's music, these primarily docile minions can be found in large numbers around Dilithase's stage, nodding their heads and listening. They will go into a craze if they are hyped up by Dilithase's full music.
Appearance:
Dull - as if shadows, Stans are, quite simply, creatures of the imagination. Existing for the sole purpose of appearing in droves, they lack any discernible features of their own. Looking very much identical to the next, each Stan resembles a deep grey human figure with no facial features or voices of their own.
Attack(s):
Stans, despite their numbers, are almost completely placant for much of Dilithase's maze and beyond. They exist solely to feed their mistress' need for attention and admirers, though she will quickly discard them and use them as cannon fodder when a new possible fan may appear. However, this is not to assume that they do absolutely nothing. Rather, much like people in a moshpit, they really come alive when Dilithase starts to blast her music (when her true body is attacked/lit up), at which point they will fly into a rage. They will throw objects, smash things, attack any mahou shoujo in sight with a flurry of dark fists, and go after one another. While individually quite weak, the fact that they are so numerous means that they can quickly overwhelm a single person.

MINION #2 FORM:
Name:
Winder
Duty:
Tuning
Description:
Their existence is to make sure Dilithase is always intune. They are always near their master's side, quick to repair a damaged string.
Appearance:
Winders are far less human in appearance. In fact, their appearance doesn't really resemble any living creature. They are, in a way, like parasitic fish that attach themselves to sharks. They are small cylinders, at their ends an L-shaped attachment that ends with a long razor. The cylinder itself can adjust Dilithase's strings, as well as be taken hold of by the witch herself.
Attack(s): Insignificant and weak, all on their own, Winder's seem to dance and roll around the stage that Dilithase's guitar rests upon. They can easily, inadvertently, cut into the shows and ankles of any girl with their blade-faces. Their greatest threat, however, is when Dilithase uses them herself. Wrapping her extended strings around their long cylinder bodies, she can then use their faces as impromptu blades, or toss them out like little throwing stars.

The greatest risk posed by the Winder however is not in any offensive capability, however. They will constantly attempt to repair any damage to Dilithase, which can prolong the exposure of her more vulnerable body.

MINION #3 FORM:
Name:
Vadder
Duty:
Oppression
Description:
Clashing with Dilithase's carefree, expressive tone, this minion lurks in the open, dulling out the colors of creativity - even if he has to squeeze it out as blood.
Appearance:
Vadder clashes with Dilithase's environment, even in appearance. A hulking, human-like figure, yet unlike the Stans his body is less fleshy. His limbs are crafted from aluminum, his joints of plastic, and his clothing of a mesh of paper backs and cartons. His face has instead been replaced by large, muddled brown glass bottle - the contents of which are deep red and slosh violently with each movement. He is incapable of speech, only producing a distorted gurgling and set of grunts.
Attack(s):
Vadder exerts pure brute strength. Luckily for any who encounter Dilithase' barrier, there is but a single Vadder. Yet he is violent, and powerful. A single swing from his metal arms, as light as they are, will likely knock the wind and maybe a bit more out of any who choose to fight him. He is frequent to pick up his enemies, and close them in in an embrace, as if to squeeze their bones right from their body. This golem is also especially unfond of bright colors, and will quickly target the brightest girl that he sees.

AND SO THIS MEGA CLICHE UNLIKABLE GRRL NOT GONNA GET ACCEPTED THING IS DONE.

I NEED TO PROOF READ.
HAHA JUST KIDDING I'D NEVER CHECK MY WORK. BUT CRIT IT ANYWAYS. smile

As far as spelling/grammar goes, there's only one thing wrong. "Roxxy is outwardly strong and aggressive, willing to pick a fight or hold a defense at the drop of a hat, her day to day life is a struggle that has left its mark." I already fixed the it's/its mix-up.

As far as everything else goes, I don't see anything particularly off or unbelievable. I really like Roxxy's personality, actually.

Ah, yeah. I wrote this up at 1am, and didn't proof read because I'm a slacker. I'll seriously run through it and try to fix my no doubt various mistakes.

Hahah, glad you liked it, though. I know it's a bit all over. Anyways, off to repair.
