Ani was growing up, and while most of the time it pleased her to realize she was getting stronger, faster and taller, sometimes it wasn't all that great. Most of the time the young female enjoyed the idea of going out on her pilgrimage, but every now and again she felt apprehensive, even if it would still take some time until she actually had to go.See, she was an adventurous sort. And while she had gotten over her childhood habit of making up random future names, she was still pretty excited to find her name. The problem was, even if she spent a good deal of time out and about, playing in the swamps, she always had her family to come home to!
Ani decided she had to deal with this apprehension by spending a night out. A whole twenty-four hours. Of course she hadn't told her parents, because they would stop her. It was easier to ask for forgiveness than permission! Really she was only out here for about three or four hours, which was normal enough. She didn't try too hard to isolate herself, because that would be dangerous. Ani's plan was more to stay just out of sight. But she definitely was not going to go curl up in the den today! Nope!
As it turns out, sitting around alone was quite boring, though. She sighed, draped across the roots of a tree. She wasn't trying too hard to hide just yet, because it was a bit early in the mission. But boy, was this boring!
