I'm sure you've all heard about the protests across the Middle East in response to the infamous anti-Muslim video released by an American independent director. I want to know your angles on it. What do you think about it? About the death of the US Ambassador? About the video itself? What do you think we should do, if anything? Can we do anything? Discuss.

I don't know any of the details and have only heard about it but apparently my mom feels pretty strong about how the situation was handled. She was outraged that the president would apologize for our freedom of speech and wouldn't tell us about (basically) a terrorist attack on the day of an anniversary of a large attack.
Again, I don't know anything about it but I should really look it up. I was rather surprised we didn't find out on the evening news but I understand if they were trying to confirm things. But i kind of feel if we start apologizing for that one video, that people are going to have to start apologizing for a lot more. :/

I did however find the video in question in very poor taste, and I think that people have a right to be angry. But that does not mean that they should blame us as a whole. Even we hated the video, and we do not endorse it, so their anger at us is very misguided.

I don't what the contexts of the video is exactly but it was made by one guys opinion. The extremists are acting out about it saying its everyone's view so they go and show us something that they are not. Prove the man wrong not right. Don't kill innocent people because someone made a video about your beliefs.

Yeah. People make video that will offend others all the time just to get a rise. I kind of feel like we should have ignored it and not given them the satisfaction. That is the kind of thing that live for.

I find it quite ironic tell you the truth the movie is supposed to be about how bad they are and then they start riots trying to get people to think they are not bad and all but all they are doing is pushing the movies point up

Well I just have to say, first about the ambassadors, that we should react as swiftly as possible, so that we never reach this situation again. Then, about the video made by a Egyptian that moved to America, they can just get over it because on the same note, there was a Show about Muslims in america and how they were not violent was banned because Christians saw it as a Muslim propaganda show. Just saying its a two way street, I'm opposed to it but still.

Personally, I don't think that we should be pumping more men and women and especially money into the Middle East. There was news released that the people that killed the ambassador were probably al-Quieda (not sure of the exact spelling) or people affiliated with al-Quieda. Lots of people have objected strongly to said video. You don't think it's reasonable? First of all, displaying Allah and the prophet Muhhamed in images is against the religion of Islam's ideals. Second, what if I told you that your god was a homosexual child molester that was fat and ugly? You'd probably react to that. Then again, even if you are Atheist, that would be like saying that your mom and dad both are perverts that like to spy on little kids taking baths while they eat dead babies and commit murder. Third thing: No I definitely don't agree with the killing of the ambassador. I don't agree with the embassies being attacked. Yet I can see why people would be mad and want to voice their opinions. I can't, however, see why some people would like to poke horribly scripted fun at a religion. They deliberately wanted to offend thousands of people. Yes Americans have the freedom of speech. But like the Westboro Baptist Church, they use this freedom for all the wrong things, like rejoicing when a soldier overseas dies from a roadside bomb explosion.
EDIT: The video doesn't even show an accurate representation of the belief of Muslims. Cpt. Trident, please do not speak of things you do not know of.
