Serina Kaburagi-Brooks was doing what she usually does after dealing with her more outgoing and boisterous father, Kotetsu. She was window shopping. Not that she ever actually bought anything, it just helped her to calm down to look over the latest fashion items. She also knew that with her normal style of dress, she would usually get mistaken for a really nice looking guy and would most likely have to ward off the attentions of other girls. She shrugs slightly, not really caring enough about that to want to dress more feminine. Looking around with a slight sigh of boredom, she spots a cafe' across the street and wanders over, thinking some caffeine with a shot of chocolate might help to put her in a better mood. Upon reaching the door, she gives a polite smile of greeting to the patrons outside the shop, including the braided male reading the paper nearby.

Serina tilts her head to watch the braided one out of the corner of her eye as she waits for her turn in line. He certainly made for an interesting picture. She didn't think she'd ever seen a man with hair that long before. And he didn't seem to set off any of the warning bells that usually would go off if someone were dangerous, so, after getting her drink, she walks back outside and sits at a table nearby. "So... You think I'm cute? Or do you greet all the girls that way?" She asks, giving another small smile as she faces him.

She chuckles a bit at his sheepish grin, taking a sip of her drink before replying. "Yes, I did hear you. Just barely, but it was enough. And if we are speaking truthfully here, you're not so bad looking yourself." She gives him another grin.

She gives a nod at his invitation to join him, standing up and moving over to sit with him. "Oh, right. Names. I'm Serina Kaburagi-Brooks, but you can just call me Serina, or whatever variation of that you feel like. And you are...?" She tilts her head a bit, an inquiring look of her own on her face.

She laughs a bit at the description of her name. "Yes, well, one of my parents couldn't decide which last name to really use, so suggested just combining both of their last names together. If I'd had a choice in the naming, I probably would have just asked to be called Serina Brooks. It's easier to say in conversation." She nods her head slightly, acknowledging when he said his own name. "That's an interesting name all on it's own there that you have, Duo. I like it."

"You can tell me the story sometime, if you want? If it's too personal, it can always wait. I mean, we did just meet eachother and all, so it's up to you. And I thank you. It's probably one of the few things one of my parents have done that hasn't irritated me. I like to think my other parent had some influence on him with it."

She blinks and nods. "Yeah, but don't get me wrong. I love both my parents. I can just only handle the one in small doses without hitting my head on some hard surface because of his antics." She chuckles a bit at that, then blushes a bit at the compliment. "I look more like my calmer and less.... I dunno... outgoing..? father." She then shakes her head slightly. "Well... Enough about me. What about you, Duo? What do you do for work?"
