After leaving the lioness behind, Jaryx wandered off in the direction of a pool. He had cleaned himself up after eating from the meal she had been nice enough to catch for him, but there was still blood around his mouth, his paws, and his pelt. Once he got to the pool, he could clean himself off and cool down a little from the heat. Then it would be time to figure out where he would go next. Would he start on his way to visit his cousin's pride or just continue on exploring the land for himself.

As far as the lioness was concerned, her plan was going quite well. Following Jaryx was turning out to be quite easy, well, that might have been because she was travelling just fast enough to see him, as a little white dot on the horizon. Man, it was nice to go slow, she could stop right here and just... Thump, she hadn't relized that she was heading in a beeline towards a tree... "Now my face hurts." She said to nobody inperticular. Oh! She was losing sight of Jaryx, maybe she needed to travel a little more closer to him as to avoid losing sight of him... Ah, but that mean't more effort. She'd just stay at the pace she was at currently; it was much more convienent...

Eventually he finally found a pool of water, after walking for another while. Once he was finally by the pool he took a drink and the opportunity to scrub at his face once more. Once he had his fill of water, and had thoroughly scrubbed his face, he jumped into the cool water, unaware of the lioness watching him from a distance.

Ru'yah was glad once the cheetah she was following found a pool of water. She was more glad when he started to swim, now she herself could stop and relax. She stopped when she was relevently close to Jaryx though... He'd probabley see her now. Then she'd be told to buzz off or something. Oh well, No worries~. She'd just follow him when he didn't know again. Or find someone new to bug.

The cheetah brought his head back out of the water and breathed in a content sigh. He had been able to get a drink, he had been able to cool off, and now he could finally get what was left of the blood off of his pelt. He scrubbed at his body the best that he could and watched as the water drew the nearly dried substance from his fur. He took another glance over himself and used the light coming off of the water to check to make sure it was all off of his face before crawling back on to land. As soon as he set paw back on land, he shook himself out to get rid of most of the excess water. Once he finished attempting to dry off, he noticed something nearby. A lioness. He stepped a little closer and noticed the bright green paws. What was she doing out here?

Oh, he was done? Ru'yah wandered over towards the pool, near the end Jaryx was not. She took a drink and watched as water dripped from her chin. She had to come up with another excuse, but she wasn't sure she could. The last one she had was acceptable, but this situation didn't seem to have a reasonable one. Hmm... What could she say? Maybe she'd just ignore Jaryx until she came up with an excuse; that seemed simple enough. Until he started talking to her... She allowed her body to flop onto the ground, clearly she'd be here for a while. And besides, she still wanted to rest. Walking wasn't as exuasting as hunting, but it still wore her out slightly. Thus, she proceeded to rest.

Trying to determine who was watching him, Jaryx stepped a little closer, though not enough to scare the lioness off. If it was just another rogue lioness, he guessed it would be okay. It wasn't like they had been purposely following him. As he got closer, he spotted the black pelt that belonged to the lioness. He tried to remember if he knew this one; once he spotted the green paws, he was sure he knew her. "What are you doing out here?" he called to her.

"Umm..." She placed her head on the ground, her chin hanging over the water. "Fishing." She said as she swished her tail. There might be fish here. Probabley not, but it was... Mostly believeable... She pawed at the water. This wasn't going to work, might as well give up already then. She had few good excuses left anyways. "I wanted to see where you were going."

Fishing, really? He didn't think it had been that long since he had left her. She hadn't been hungry then, was she hungry now? When she gave up and told him that she had wanted to see where he was going, Jaryx nodded. "Yet I told you I was going for a swim. That was a give away as to where I was going."

Ru'yah shrugged and rolled over on her back. She liked lying on her back, she wasn't quite sure why, but she did. "People lie." She said. "For all I know you were going bunny-hunting for a sick cub." Though she doubted that theroy, anything was possible. She licked her paw while lying on her back, her tail continued to swish about freely. "That and I was bored. So I followed you." She admitted to her crime.

Jaryx shook his head at her idea of where he had gone off to. "Well I'm not one of them," he replied and gave her a disgusted look. "And I would never go hunting for a sick cub." He watched her as she looked up at him as she continued to lay on her back and chuckled. "You get bored easily, don't you?"

Ru'yah nodded. Well, sort of nodded. It was hard to tell with her licking her paws. "Yup, like right now. I'm bo~red." She half-yawned her words. "I want to do something fun." She rolled back over onto her stomach. Oof, now she just had to get the enthusiasum to stand up. Well, easily accompished if Jaryx suggested something fun to do. If not, she might fall asleep.

Jaryx shook his head again, this time with a small grin. He wasn't sure what to make of the black and green lioness still. "Well, you could go for a swim," he suggested, "or we could try to actually catch fish."

The lioness stared down into the pool of water. "Is there even fish in there?" She asked. She wasn't sure if pools like this had fish living in them. She pawed at the water again.

Jaryx looked down into the pool he had taken his swim in; if there were any fish, he had probably scared them off when he jumped in. "Maybe, maybe not," he replied, watching to see if there was anything swimming in the water.
