Jennifer was walking home from work. It was rather late but still light enough outside to see clouds drifting into the sunset."What a lovely night...I cant wait for tomorrow.."She said with a happy smile. Jennifer lived alone but tried her best to have her friends over whenever they weren't busy.

Logan walked down the street, letting out a sigh. His life had gone downhill. He had no family, he dropped out of high school, and he had a dead end job. HAD a dead end job. He got fired this morning. In his despair, he spotted a girl who looked familiar. It was Jennifer. He had a raging crush on her in high school, but she didn't even know he existed. He remembered that she had a lot of friends, while he was alone. He was jealous of her, he had to admit. He stared at her, as she was a reminder of what he couldn't have.

It may have seemed that way but Jennifer's life wasnt all gumdrops and lollipops. It took a ton of optimism and therapy to get Jennifer back on track from her past. she could hardly remember her life from back then because of her life now. jennifer was extremely grateful to be around her friends and be a little successful in life after high school. She never had a romantic relationship before but she did like someone back then."He probably doesnt remember me..."She said to herself as she somehow became nastalgic.

Logan watched the girl carefully, feeling the urge to go over and talk to her. However, he knew she wouldn't remember him. It was so long ago, and they hardly ever talked. He felt something strange, some form of desparation, making him approach her. Inside, he just wanted to be near her, just to enjoy what he never really could. He walked over and waved. "Hello." He said, in a meek tone.

Jennifer heard a voice saying hello. At first it frwaked her out but then she turned and saw him. She blushed."Oh Hi there."She said with a smile. 'It's him...how...how can this be happening. i havent seen hhim in such a long time.' She thought as she stared into the eyes she once fell in love with but those feelings have somehow disappeared."You're..Logan right? I think we went to high school together."She said trying to make it seem as though she could barely remember when she really did know who he was.

Mina Blanks Logan gave her a light nod, but it was easy to see he was a bit bummed. "Of course she barely remembers me...." He thought. He was never a memorable guy, he did good in school before just dropping out, but no one really made an effort to notice he was gone. "Yeah. And you're Jennifer. I understand if you don't remember me much. Long time ago." He said, giving a false smile, trying to mask what was going on in his mind. Seeing the girl after so long made him a bit happy, for some reason. He always watched her in school, and talked to her once or twice, and she was sort of an ideal that he chased, someone he wanted to be, someone with a good life.

Jennifer was happy to see that he remembered her. He was so handsome and smart. She could tell because of his grades from school. But he then didnt come to school after awhile and then she never got to see him again. rumors were spread that he killed himself but never believed them. "Oh...Sorry. It really wasnt that long ago.. So how have you been?"She asked hoping to hear his sweet voice as she looked up to him. Of course he was much taller then her but she wasnt a midget or anything.

Logan let out a sigh. "Well, I've managed to get by, but things kinda suck. I just got fired this morning." He told her. You know, for some reason, Logan found a bit of happiness in her. Maybe it was just from seeing someone from school, or something. It couldn't have been him specifically...right? Well, maybe she was just glad that the suicide rumors were false. No one wants to hear about a classmate slitting their throat. He was sure she was probably relieved because she felt sorry for him, or something.

"Oh wow.I'm sorry to hear that. And the economy is pretty bad right now..."She said then tried to think of a way she could help him. She then had a great idea."Oh hey I know!"She said then went into her purse and got out her checkbook. She then wrote on it and then handed him a the slip of paper."Here. I know it isnt much but you are my frined i dont want to see you suffer."She said with a smile."The check was made out for 1k.

Looking over the check, Logan couldn't help but be surprised. They never even talked that much, and now she was giving him a thousand bucks!? "Y-you really don't have to do that!" He said, still shock. Logan figured she was REALLY sorry for him, but giving a thousand dollars to a guy she barely even knew? Logan wondered if she really WAS this nice? Did she really care? Was she really a friend? He wished he had someone like her in his life.

Logan couldn't help but blush a bit as well. He could tell she was honest with him, and seeing her blush...she really did care. Logan gave his crush a warm smile, feeling happy for the first time since before he lost his parents. "Th-thank you..." He said, still a bit surprised. Logan knew his chance with her had never existed in high school, but maybe now...
