I think a section or an information thread on moving a cat and how to make them as comfortable as possible and how to help the cat get use to the new place.

I'm moving to Syracuse, NY end of the year and taking Pearl with me. She'll go from a country outdoor cat to a city indoor cat.

I'd be glad to write one out and recommend some things to do for a cat when moving from to a different environment.

Would anyone also mind if I did a thread in the first aid about delivering kittens? That's always a big question for some cat owners.

I've had first hand experience with it with my other cat (my mother's), Jaune.

Me to. D: Ive delivered enough kittens to last me a lifetime. Help yourself. :3 Should we start a new subforum for Expecting Queens to be or put it in the kitty first aid?

I think Kitty First Aid will be fine. Sometimes a medical emergency may happen when delivering, might as well.

Not sure where you would want to add these but http://www.cat-breed-info.com/ and http://www.catster.com/cat-breeds/ are great guides to cat breeds.
I was thinking put it in the link section and then in the "Narrow it down..." topic, referencing that there's a link there with all the breeds.

OR I was thinking in the information section(or somewhere else, whatever you think best), someone could post a megalist of breeds with all the info there(i wouldn't mind doing it) and then people could post about their favorite breeds or something. I think it might be better to have something like this because then people can just find all the info they need in one place. But both would be nice, too.

Also a guide to color/markings. I know they were listed, but they weren't really expanded. I think it should have it's own topic and then people can discuss what their favorite is or whatever. I wouldn't mind doing this, either.

Actually, I kind of would like permission to create both? Lol But if you don't think that's necessary that's fine, I was just slightly disappointed to see there wasn't something like that here! I was looking for somewhere to rant on about how much I loved Sphynx kitties and tabbies.


In addition, the guild could use a bit of organization. (For example the Narrow it Down..." and "Choosing a Cat" topic could be combined. Then there could be another topic that says something like "Where to get your new kitty?" and then all the topics on shelters and breeders and whatnot could be merged into that). I also think there are way too many subforums? I feel like some of these could be shortened into topics. A lot of them could be made into topics and put under subforums called "Cat Care" or "Guides" or something like that. Another example, "The Ins and Outs of Diabetes" could be a topic under the "Kitty First Aid and Ailment" and all of those topics could be made into individual posts.

The Link subforum/topic could be made a topic in the main forum.

In the main forum there could be a topic that says something like "Looking for help but not sure where to find it?" And then having an explanation of what each subforum is meant for.

I think that this guild is great and you guys have a LOT of really helpful, informative information I just think that the layout is a bit confusing and it makes a lot of the information hard to find. I've been in all the subforums and read through most of the topics a couple times(so I'm familiar with them) but even just trying to find and reference a name on the list of subforums is kind of hard and then trying to actually find the actual topic with information on colors/breeds? Took me a lot longer than it should have. I think it may be really confusing to new members and could discourage them from being active and the information is a little hard to find. I think that everything needs to be reorganized so that it's easy and quick to just pull something up.

I'd be happy to help with any of that. I have a lot of free time and nothing to do with it. Lol

This is only a suggestion, though. You don't have to implement any of it if you don't want to.

If you want, I can go through them all and make up a basic layout and then all you'd have to do is delete and move stuff.

Or, if you were comfortable with it, you could promote me and I could do it but I feel bad asking because I only just joined and this is only my second post here. I'd have to be Vice Captain to do anything with subforums and I think that's way too much to ask for. But if you want help with anything, let me know. Maybe I can work on organizing things into individual topics and then you can just move them to the correct subforum when everything else is organized?

Oh, and your banner doesn't seem to be working either. Does it work for you or is it just my computer? I don't have the program on this computer, but as soon as I'm able to, would you like for me to make you a new one? I can show you a sample thread with all the graphics I've done and you can let me know what you think.
