So for that past few weeks one of the daycare kids has been kissing me on the cheek. I don't think anything about it because it's a kid, apparently it bothers the mother greatly. She asked me not to allow the kids to do it anymore, so when the kid tried to kiss me I pulled away. The kid was mad and asked "why won't you let me kiss you?" I said because if I let you do it the other kids will want to do it as well...(the kid only does it in the morning and when leaving.)
So I always thought of it as normal greeting...we have been watching the kid for 1 year and 11 months now even the other sibling does it as well.
The more I think about it would seem kind of weird xD
But the funny thing is that kid isn't the only one that does that to me...I don't find it strange at all though because we are normally with the kids longer then the parents so the kids tend to say things like "I Love you." They also hug/cling to you...so I don't really know if I did something wrong by letting the kid kiss my cheek. Now I am making sure to not allow any of the kids to be that clingy to me sweatdrop
I want people opinion on what I should do...

Professionally, it's best to do what you're doing in not letting them kiss you for the parents comfort. If you need to, you can explain exactly why it's not appropriate, if they don't get it right away they'll understand when they are no longer upset by it

If you need to, you can explain exactly why it's not appropriate, if they don't get it right away they'll understand when they are no longer upset by it Yeah, that is what I'm trying to do now XD The kid knows why though the mother said it out flat with the child standing there..which was kind of funny because the kid asks "why" all the mom said was "because I don't want you doing that."

I want to see you now since I heard your alone now. sad But I don't know when my brother is coming back to Alamo, he might Oct 1 since he has a week break from teaching.

Basically what everyone said... >.< lol also im alone...i dont like it......kinda...lol ima loner in my own right but i love being with my gf and i get to see her! biggrin which will be nice...help relieve some stress from work..........lol razz
