Attor was strolling across the grounds closely followed by Amduat, the little snake slithered after him as happy as he could be to be outside. Attor was heading towards a big rock he had found that was perfect for both him and Amduat to just lay on for awhile while they took a break from the dark and often cold feeling castle. He had to admit having a snake again was making his life just a little brighter they had always been really his only friends back home. It made him feel a bit more secure to have Amduat with him it was like a sign things were going to be ok.

"Quetzal!" Sky frowned, watching the python slither through the grass away from her. "You can't run off, you stupid scaled creature," She muttered, trotting after her pet. "HONESTLY! If you scare someone, I'm going to be the one stuck apologizing," Sky shouted as her snake continued to wisp around in the grass. ... Hopefully whoever Quetzalcoatl decides to scar for life isn't a teacher, Sky decided with a sigh--that darn reptile was going to do whatever it wanted, wasn't it?
Taking her eyes off Quetzalcoatl for a second, Sky glanced upwards to see a boy walking around the grass. "Ah, excuse me!" She began, hoping he wasn't one of the many kids with phobias of snakes... because Quetzal was heading right towards him. "My pet snake is heading towards you, please don't be alarmed--he's usually harmless!"

Attor blinked out of his spaced out state hearing someone calling something out. It took a second for him to process what she said before he quickly turned around and picked up Amduat and placed him on the his shoulder. Amduat being so small he was always nervous to have him around larger animals.
He turned to back too look down at the ground. He seemed to not care about the python slithering towards him. But really he was interested to see that a girl owned a snake. It wasn't unheard of, but it wasn't the norm either. He bent down clearly not afraid of the the python. "Usually harmless hmm? Does he have a bad temper or just not overly socialized with others?"

Sky was completely relieved when the older boy didn't freak out about the snake--for one, it would've been a rather pathetic sight for an upper classmen, and secondly, she had enough with people being so scared these days. Honestly. It's just a reptile. "Ah, well... Quetzalcoatl has a bad habit of lunging at people--he's going a bit senile, I swear--he mistook someone's ponytail for a rat the other day," Sky admitted with a sigh, "I should keep him in his cage but I don't have the heart for that."
As Sky got closer, she noticed a small garter snake on Attor's shoulder. "Aw!" Sky couldn't help but exclaim, having a soft spot for smaller reptiles, "He's so cute--or manly, if that's what he prefers..." She quickly said with a smile, leaning over to pick up Quetzalcoatl from the ground. The snake was beginning to weigh a lot (at least for someone her size). He was around sixteen pounds, above the average for a snake of his kind.
"I'm Sky Blackbriar, by the way, nice to see someone who doesn't squeal at the sight of a reptile," She extended the hand that Quetzalcoatl wasn't resting his body on.

Attor stood up and attempted to hide the pained expression that came to his face when she said the name of her snake. He rubbed his hands a common practice he had taken up when anything reminded of what had happened over the summer. Long since had his marks vanished from his hands but it still felt like they were there. The scar of his face was a constant reminder as well which is why he had a certain hatred for mirrors these days. This time though it was the snake's name, the snake that had been killed in the incident shared the name Quetzalcoatl. There was a pause till Attor realized he was being quite. "Senile, or having issues with his sensory? How old is he?" Attor asked trying to pull it off more like he was thinking then anything. Though his mind lingered on his passed pet Quetzalcoatl, but he didn't know this girl o he wouldn't mention it.
Amduat seemed to respond to the girl's aw a bit, he slithered down to the front of Attor's neck and seemed to be watching Sky. "I don't think he cares, but he sorely needs more socialization...if you would like to hold him. It's hard to find anyone willing to." He had been facing the same troubles as Sky in the regards of people not liking reptiles.
"My name is Martin Pendragon, but most people just call me Attor if you prefer. And I agree, I've always had lots of snakes I don't know why people have such a problem with them." Attor said stroking a gentle finger on the Amduat which made the snake jump a little.
