Triton floated in, setting his books down on the table, frowning as he saw that one was slightly burnt on the top right corner. Damn pyromaniacs, he thought. One'd burned his book in order to get him to tell them all he knew. Well, Triton knew too much for the pesky demon.
Triton sat down, listening from the hallway to see if he could hear anyone coming; although he heard no thoughts. He pondered on the thought of Ashiwar, for he sounded quite interesting. He wondered what it'd be like to finally meet someone whose intelligence could match his...

Remaining seated in the back of the classroom, his feet on his desk as he leaned back comfortably in his chair with a book with strange scribbles on the cover of it opened in front of him while Enigma's song La Puerta de Cielo played through his headphones. Not bothering to look up from his book, he made a slight snicker as if he'd just read something funny.
Maybe you shouldn't flaunt your intelligence like an attention whore. Morons do not take into account that there are some people who enjoy reading and pyrokinetic people tend to act first and think later. It's how they earned the nickname hothead. Welcome to the classroom and yes. I was here before you yet you never seemed to notice me. I wouldn't suggest trying to sneak a peek either, Triton Matthews the Third, unless you intend to be put in a looney bin,” he stated in a smooth tone as if he'd used the boy's own gift against him. “It'd be better to stop researching him while you're ahead of the game, but you'd probably grow more interested in Texenius Ashiwar if I did. As for your earlier question of when phantoms were ever really nice... They've always put others, including humans, before themselves. They're scientists after all. Phantoms were a neutral force; never joining in wars but always trying to keep things balanced and at peace. It changed a few centuries ago when their population almost became extinct due to the vampire kingdom to the north. Ask your princes who also attend the school. I believe their names are Eric, Yue and Tori Phantomen. You might want to ask them to teach you the full extent of your abilities as well considering that the burnt book could've been avoided altogether, ya bairn.
Viaresu then returned to his silent demeanor while already knowing that if the boy tried entering any further into his head than his imaginative version of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe playing in his head, he'd only end up hurting himself. His mind was completely sealed off to invaders, his magic seemingly unbreakable. In truth, his mind was actually saying, ‘Great... Another person interested in me and how I vanished with this curse of mine. Get a clue, moron! With knowing too much, you're only hurting yourself! Trust me when I say that knowledge may be some kind of power, but you'd lose to many other things... Bairns... They all be bairns...

Triton turned to face Viaresu, just smiling. "I'm terribly sorry.." He found himself trying to force open the metaphoric door of his mind, but found that it was, well, 'locked'.He winced a tiny bit, knowing that it was quiet unfortunate for him to have every single one of his thoughts exposed while he couldn't hear a single one. "Threatening people won't get you anywhere. and just who might you be?" Triton asked, intrigued by this person. He was taken off guard when the kid had read his mind. "It's fun to pick on... 'hotheads'. Their tempers can be quite hilarious at times." He just sat there, trying to empty his mind of every last thought, and just let the moment sink in. So he was kind of trapped. But he didn't care. If the boy had managed to mentally damage Triton, he wouldn't care. It'd been for what felt like forever since he'd felt pain, and he actually missed it. Intangibility was something Triton never loved. His eyes lit up slightly at the mention of Ashiwar. "So, by the sounds of it, I'm guessing you know where he is. And you won't tell a single soul..?" He knew this boy probably had a link to him somehow, but at the same time, he felt there was something strange about him. "It'd just be nice to have a friend, was all I cared about him anyway. Someone who understands such intellect and that I could trade stories with." He sighed. He really didn't want to seek Ashiwar as a way to show responsibility or honor or anything of the sort, but he didn't like being alone.

I never threatened. I just put it on the table as a warning that many have tried before you and been sent to an insane asylum for it. You may just call me Viaresu and without even looking up, I can tell you're unused to not hearing someone's thoughts whereas they can hear every single one of yours. Try taking this little scenario as a taste of your own medicine. You should learn to respect other's privacy. If they want you yo know something about themselves, they'll open up to you,” Viaresu stated calmly as he flipped the page and then removed his hat from the top of his head. “Friendship can be achieved without basing it on the level of intelligence one has. Picking on someone just because they don't know as much as you is just making a problem.
He paused briefly to brush his hair out of his face only for the book to vanish and his deep blue-grey eyes shifting up towards Triton. “You are correct though. I know who he is and where he is, but I will never, ever tell anyone. I promised him that much. He doesn't want to be found and doesn't exactly trust others easily. I can always pass along whatever message you have to argue your point of meeting him personally to see if he'd like to try becoming friends with you. You'd just have to start meeting people the old fashioned way instead of invading minds. Texenius is and always will be against invading the private thoughts of another person,” he smiled cheerily at the other as he dropped his feet off his desk and leaned slightly forwards onto his desk. He just seemed to be waiting patiently to "pass along the message". It made him partly wonder what this boy would do if he found out that a guy who looked like a ruffian was the guy he was looking for. He looked more like he'd spent most of his time putting guys in the hospital than being a booknerd and yet neither was wrong. He'd sent many to the hospital and even their graves, but he had just about every book known to exist memorized. It was an almost there moment, but there were some books he hadn't gotten to yet.

Triton listened to Viaresu and just stayed calm. "I can't say that I don't enjoy you reading my thoughts." Because it's quite amusing to see such a lad as you trying so hard to teach me something, He thought. He heard him mention his ideals of friendship an just laughed. "Oh, I never said that I base friendship off of intelligence! To me, friendship is something that one enjoys, and how boring would it be if the other person in the relationship never understood a word you said? Intelligence is not everything, but it's a huge factor to me. Besides, I like to talk to people I have... things in common with." His charming smile almosst brightened the room. "But I guess, for your sake, I'll lay off the mind-reading. After all, it does get quite boring at times." He turned away from Viaresu and just leaned back in his chair. "Listen, you tell Texenius what you want about me, I just think he sound like a pretty cool guy. I can wait, for he's someone I'd love to meet. I've got time, afterall." He smiled and waited for Viaresu's response, hoping he'd lay back a tiny bit. He seemed as if he was a little stressed, and hoped he didn't push him too far. Triton didn't like to annoy people.. too much, anyway. "By the way, if you're 'friends' with Texenius, and he doesn't permit mind-reading... how do you think he'd react to this little incident here?" He was quite curious, himself; he thought it was strange, too, how the boy seemed to know a lot about him..

Viaresu responded with a soft chuckle before returning to leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed in front of his chest. Poor, naive child was the only response that briefly passed through his head. “It's called stupefying your vocabulary to their level. To you, I probably look like some ruffian who enjoys getting into scraps, five-finger-discounting and taunting cops and teachers while taking lunch money from people of your intelligence level. That's just based on how I'm dressed. You can tell, however, that I'm not just some ruffian based on the fact that I was reading a book that didn't have any colorful pictures or simple sentences like "See Spot run” in it. Besides, I didn't read too far into your head. I skimmed the surface before exiting. There's a difference,” he purred in a low, smooth tone that showed a slight interest yet not too amused persona behind it. “You should know that stupefying your vocabulary for someone means that although they may not have a high intelligence, you enjoy their presence. Friends like that are worth the effort you put into it. I've had experience in said friendship with another of higher intelligence and while they understand bigger words, they prefer making it a competition of who can outsmart who and end up becoming snooty lil' bxtches that need their arse rung when you end up outsmarting them even once. He accepts the meeting of you in person, but would like to warn you that he isn't all that nice and will tell you as it is. Do you accept the meeting with him even if he calls a complete moron or a poor, naive child should he consider you as one? Aura, sound of your voice when you speak and even little stories one tells can betray what the mind is saying. Unless you can control those subconscious things your body does, you're technically an open book. All I looked up in your head was your name. He wouldn't mind if I just did that much if it was giving you the message that some people are stronger and far more closed off in their heads than others. It also taught you that your mind isn't completely safe from others and rude to look up things that shouldn't be mentioned.
Flipping his hair out of his face, he slid one long muscled leg out from under his desk only to set it back on his desk while following it with the other leg. It was... Cute how the other thought he'd been invading his head the entire time. If only he knew that everyone had subconscious habits in everything they did that exposed them like a book. Then again, it might be better that the boy didn't realize such things existed. He already seemed smart, but if he became too knowing... No. Vulnerability wasn't an option. He'd be sure he remained outside of that vulnerable zone, minus Adrienne though. She'd already broke through his seemingly invulnerable shell around him even if she'd done so unfairly.
Just remember; the more you know, the weaker you actually are... A lesson Texenius taught me through his own experiences. Knowing too much makes you cocky. Being cocky makes you more vulnerable than you think even if it's only a subconscious cockiness.

Triton chuckled at the 'stupifying his vocabulary' comment. "But where's the fun in that?" He frowned slightly at his comments towards his own appearance. "Well, yes, some may assume that about you, but I never judge anyone based on their appearance. I assumed you were intelligent, however, based on the fact that you were in this class." He smirked, He thought the kid was funny. "I don't mind you reading my thoughts, really. It's sort of.. vengeance for all those who've been invaded, no?" He just sat there calmly, enjoying the conversation.
"Competition may be fairly satiating at times, but it is too.. conceited for me. I'd rather spend my time teaching those who wish to learn. Not those who wish to outsmart me." He turned his head towards Viaresu with an amused look on his face when he indirectly applied Ashiwar's acceptance. "And he told you this himself?" He had a feeling about him, but he mostly felt there was some intellectual connection between the two men, but he didn't quite comprehend.
"I understand the point you're trying to cross; I truly do. But knowledge is the only thing I have in this world, and I plan to let it grow, for it fills my mind with more wonder and excitement than anything or anyone ever has," He exclaimed, his eyes sparkling. He dazed off for a split second, thinking to himself, until he remembered Viaresu was still there. "It's the only thing I have.."

Viaresu briefly removed one arm from across his chest to where he could tap the side of his head. “We pass messages along in our heads... Or perhaps I should say head? It's a matter of opinion I suppose... Whereas most would call it having a multiple personality, I consider it a second opinion. It takes more of an effort to speak in a third grade level when you're thinking of a sentence with words of more than three or four letters in them. For all you could've known, I could've been skipping another class by sitting in a room without a teacher. Now that you know that I'm the guy you're looking for, I still would rather you call me Viaresu. It's the name the school knows me by and I'd rather remain under the radar if you don't mind,” the auburn haired male murmured from where he sat while shifting slightly in his chair so he could slip out of his jacket and let a set of deep red demonic looking wings stretch out behind him. A deep red tail with a sharp arrowhead at the tip flicked behind him as if it'd been there all along, swaying from side to side out of utter boredom. “There's more to life than knowledge so live it to it's fullest potential. Go learn how to ride a skateboard, break a few bones, invent a cure for the G-virus and T-Veronica virus. Hell, find a cure for cancer, Las Plagas and Uroboros. The phantoms created most of those viruses, minus cancer, before the Phantomlands became a desolate wasteland. Go meet your next leader and his two younger brothers. There's a million things you can do and yet you're wasting it on me; a halfbreed that ditched everything when finding out many dark secrets behind the ancient languages of our ancestors. All people will do is use you for your intelligence and once that's done and over with, they'll kill you to be sure no one else can have it. I've lived it for many times your age, you poor, naive child, but I will say that if you wish to learn from your own mistakes, be my guest. I'm not gonna stop ya. I'm not your daddy nor any part of your family so I'm not gonna babysit ya by holding your hand and telling you which path to take. I'm just giving you warnings as to personal experiences. It's possibilities I'd rather you be prepared for is all. Besides that, I'm just seeing how much intelligence has improved. It's the only reason I'm here and to be honest, I'm highly disappointed.
He gave a slight shrug before sliding a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and glancing inside of it. Empty. Again. Why was the world so stressful? Why'd he have to let her get him addicted to these stupid things in the first place? ‘'Cause you were stupid and thought she'd be our one-and-only, Texenius. That's why we let her manipulate us... Hehehe... To think you'd be giving me the duh factor is a definite low, Tex... Oh hush. You started asking those questions and I answered. End of story,’ echoed the voices in the back of his head while he just snickered aloud. He practically admitted to the boy that he had multiple personalities and now it was just to see how he'd respond to the news of a rumored genius actually having multiple personalities although technically he'd developed the second persona after having left the vampire kingdom.

"One of the few things I do extraordinarliy well is keep secrets; it's safe with me." He winked. He was glad to know that the little voice in the back of his head was right; it was Texenius! He watched the ruby-colored pair of wings extended out from behind him, just amazed at how well they hid inside of his jacket. "Those must be easy to hide." He smiled, nodding towards them. "Well, it's an honor to be in your presence, but honestly, part of your arguement are invalid. True, I do understand you speak from past experiences, but such as breaking bones and getting killed... Well.." He smirked, knowing he may be pushing something unfunny, for he didn't really understand Viaresu's sense of humor just yet. Of course Triton would love to be put to rest completely, for he hated living so long in the mortal world.. He just didn't think it was possible at the moment, not with everything going on. He looked away at the teacher's desk, wondering where the teacher was, and realized Viaresu had said he was wasting his time on him.. Another smirk appeared on his face, for he knew he had enough time in the world to accomplish whatever he needed to do.. "And just where might you suggest I might find these,, 'princes' you speak of?" He never really met the princes; he'd just heard of them throughout his life, but didn't really care for the world; he'd lived in private for the first 25 years of his life, anyway.

They're a pain to deal with. Even if I cut 'em off, they'll just grow back. It comes with being half vampire and half incubus,” Viaresu responded as he remained completely relaxed in his chair, his gaze watching the empty cigarette pack burst into flames in his hand. He let out a sigh as not even the ashes remained and shifted his gaze back up to the other male. “No my argument isn't, shithead. Pardon my French. It's reflexive to come back in a snippy manner. Anyways, it's highly possible for you to break a bone and be killed. The vampires proved it in the Phantom Wars. C'mere and I'll prove it's highly valid to you with just my hand considering you seem to doubt what I say as truth. I'll make it just a broken finger so it won't hinder you too much.

Oops. He hadn't meant to slip up and call him stupid in that kind of manner, but the fact that Triton called what he knew to be true invalid... Oh he was wanting for him to kill him. “Eric and Torithyn Phantomen are in the vocals classroom. Yue Phantomen is in the detention room. Ask one of them about the truth and they'll tell you the same thing I've told you. You're still a toddler after all if you're dumb enough to think you can't die or break a bone. Phantoms were labeled as ghosts, souls and spirits by the humans; a toddler species. The demons, the secondary group compared to angels and nephilim, labeled them as demons from the abyss. The angels and nephilim didn't acknowledge their existence until death. Ask your princes for more details 'cause I don't plan on wasting my time explaining it to you,” Viaresu stated irritably only to make his book reappear. He flipped it open and returned to reading without a second thought. As if he'd waste his time breaking the boy's finger. His intelligence level was still that of a demon; smarter than all of the human mind's put together yet still not on his level. The boy still had many things to learn, especially the fact that he was simply stuck in a mix of solid form and mist form which were only two of three forms the phantoms took on. At least he had the princes here to give him knowledge he didn't know.

Triton smiled an evil grin, showing his true personality. "They just sound lovely," he said. He got up and stood by Viaresu. He stood in a calm fashion, with his arms lifted a little from his sides, hands facing forward. "But, if your arguement so correct.. Do it. Kill me." He looked at Viaresu with dark eyes. "You act as if I wouldn't appreciate it. My whole life all I've known is the utter darkness of what a soul can hold, and how terrible one can be to another with such effusion arrogating every last inch of their mind. You may have dealt with some truly evil people in your past, from hearing some of your experiences, but you've probably never been the evil one, rooting through people's minds, haunting them until they rip their hair out, scalp and all. You haven't witnessed what I've witnessed, people caring for one another, and then murdering them the same night. You don't know how.. satiating that is to me. The world is too kind; I make it the Hell I desire." He grinned standing there, just waiting, for he knew that being killed wouldn't bother him; he'd been searching for a way to do it all these years..

Child's play. The drow are far more violent and deadlier than a phantom. Liches and wraiths are far more cruel as well. Take some lessons from your princes and the drow before you go asking for favors from me. You could also just ask Wennin and Cres, the shinigami attending the school, to kill you. Or you could ask Torithyn to eat you. I'm not wasting my time on doing you the favor of killing you without something to gain from it,” Viaresu responded in a smooth tone, crossing his ankles as he flipped the page in his book again. Remaining calm, he briefly glanced up at Triton and how his entire persona switched from that seemingly cheerful self into something far more sinister. He then ended up closing the book and turning it to the boy. “I want to know what's in it for me if I kill you. I'd ask you to tell me the title of this book, but you don't know the language so I won't bother asking you to make a deal like telling me the title of the book for a consideration of killing you. You're on the level of intelligence above that of a human, but you're still young and missing a lot of details. So tell me, Triton; what's in it for me in killing you?

Triton smiled, lowering his arms. "Everything in this world has to be done for something else, doesn't it? This world is too damn greedy," he said to himself. "Killing me would not technically be doing me a favor, for it'd only be ending my fun, but benefiting me by finally putting me to rest.. As if that makes any sense.. How would you suppose one would feel if the spirit haunting them at night was finally dead? Pretty damn good, if you ask me. So you'd be doing this town a favor as of now, basically and recieve the honor and respect of those around you. That's what you'd get in return." He went and sat back down. "I could deal with no teacher; gives us time to.. catch up."

Wrong. I'm only wanting to be sure that greedy people don't find my location and try using me to take over the world. While you find that death benefits you in putting you to rest, in which you'll do as soon as you get old enough for your species, you also claim that it ends your childish fun. That's what your fun is; child's play. You're still young so it's still a definite "not gonna happen" moment altogether. Killing you would be a favor to end the boredom you're obviously getting from "haunting" people to the point of insanity. What I gain is exposing myself to my enemies by doing you and supposedly this town said favor. As for respect and honor, it'd only be there until they figured out my secret due to my enemies getting closer. Then a war between many would start up and I do not want to be part of that act of stupidity,” Viaresu retorted as he started tapping his foot in the air, his fingers tapping against the book sitting in his lap.
He didn't go into the finer details, but it was highly apparent that he didn't care if Triton had the finer details. In fact, he wanted the boy to expand his mind past what he thought he knew. It'd definitely give him something to do besides going over books he read in his head. “This conversation went nowhere rather quickly... A waste of time and a memory I wouldn't have to wipe when I leave if I would've just kept my mouth shut. What else would you like to discuss or end up disagreeing about?
