Syd - or Sydney Lowe as Melvin knew her. She was the hunter he saved from the horsemen lair, and also a woman who was fairly kind to him the few times he met her. Then again, the last time they talked, she seemed rather upset that he wasn't hugging his own weapon and had told him just to stay in his room. He only hoped that she didn't get mixed signals with this gift.

Finding his room was rather easy, and he knocked twice.

The door knocking made Syd panic slightly. Just a little bit. She had been reading a romance novel (although, really, she needed to get some new ones--maybe something set in the past, or paranormal--) well, either way, she had to get rid of it quickly.

The book was shoved under the bed, hidden between the mattress and the bed slat, and she stood, grabbing her coat off of the chair and slipping it on. All of this took less than a minute, and she opened the door a second later.

Then looked at Melvin curiously. "Melvin," she said with a slight smile. "How can I help you?"

Melvin stared back at Sydney, giving her a brief, somewhat awkward smile. Welp. Here he was. "Hi Sydney. I'm just..." Doing a weird errand for a division leader that wasn't even in his division. "...delivering a few things."

He reached into the metal tube under his arm and offered her the rose. "Seems you have a secret admirer. Was told to give this to you." Yeah, cause that's the story he was going with most of these. Either way, awkward was awkward.

She blinked, hesitating before she took the rose. "It's beautiful," she said. But... a secret admirer? On this island? One that had enough money to find a rose on an island? She seriously doubted that this was grown locally. Plus, she seriously didn't see anyone admiring her in that manner. She knew better than anyone that she wasn't the most beautiful--

In fact, this smelled awfully fishy to her.

"Are you sure you got the name right?" she asked, instead, sniffing the rose.

Melvin watched her take the rose and smelled it, and gave a nervous smile back. "Yup. It was a specific request. So....enjoy." Yeah, cause he wasn't sure what this rose was about, but he knew better not to touch a single one with his bare hands.

"I gotta deliver a few more for other shy people. Have a nice day." Hopefully she wouldn't get some strange, allergic reaction. If she did, he wasn't here. Actually, after all these deliveries, he was going to hide in his room just to be safe.

With a wave, he backed up and walked away briskly.

Sydney has received a bright pink rose. For three RPs (does not have to be the immediate next three) Syd will have the uncanny ability to recognize and know the names of the people she meets. She will also have an urge to tell them thank you or to give them a compliment on something she admires in them. She's also going to be very positive while she does so.

These feelings will last until the three RPs are up or unless Sydney trades or gives her rose away, at which point reality will come crashing back down immediately.

The cracktastic effects of the roses will last for only three RPs, not including the RP he gained it in. So if Sydney does a solo, then gives the rose away in another RP, then the rose will last for only one more RP before becoming an ordinary white rose. And wilting and dying if not placed in and watered regularly.

Why me? Because of this! Questions? Ping Maru.
