I already posted... everything. Right, I posted everything.
I like the Pastries theme best, and then the Elements theme. Both are perfect just in case more people want to join, and I think both are perfectly good art themes for profile pictures.
Also, out of curiosity, how are we going to format this? What's the art order form going to be like? Are we going to have one post for all artists, or one post for each artist? Also, are we making a new thread or recycling the old thread?
We should definitely use a mule for this, I think, but a question is - how many people are going to have access to the mule? If more than one person has access to the mule, than we can process orders more quickly (of course, it also runs a higher risk of accidents happening).

We will probably have the same form for each artist, but I'll put it at the bottom of each person's post with a built in quote. For example... Pinkie's Post would have a code at the bottom like this:

Username: Art: Blah:
Whereas your's would be...

Username: Art: Blah:
Did that make any sense? I wil probably offer up a mule I have just to make the thread. All the money will go to the Annual Ball Mule. And we will be making a new thread. You pose a good point about having lots of access to the mule. We can alter the mule's password so everyone can have access to it. Like, the "Communal Art Committee Mule" of sorts.

So, we'll share the art mule? Awesome! Okay, so since I love chance items, we should make our own add some sort of contest. We could make it like Love Charm, where there are choices (and, obviously a right choice) or like the current, Champion Halls, in which it's in stages and it requires luck to pass a stage. We could even have like one CI for each artist and conduct it through PMs, where each artist does dice rolls or something and makes their own art for the stages. We could have it pastry themed! Or whatever theme we have. Of course, better art prizes for the further you get without losing, but consolation prizes too, like a sketch. I wonder what the price of each would be, though... I guess that would depends on what kind of prizes we offer for each stage. Did that make sense at all?

That sounds really fun, but rather than do it through PMs I think it should be done in the thread. If people are rolling die in the thread or even just asking how to do it then it will be one more thing to boost activity in the thread and keep the posts up rather than just "bump" "bump" "bump" in a thread.

PinkieKitty I went ahead and made a new thread to plan our art shop. Here's my original post, if you didn't get to see it originally: Hey, guys! The volunteers have been split in two by me and Jesse for the Art Shop, and you're in my group! Let's make this an awesome joint art shop! First off, please fill out the form on the second post of Jesse's art planning thread ( link). If you would, please post that form both in that thread, so Jesse can see it, and here, so I can see it. Super easy, just copy and paste. ^_^ Second, I really want our shop to have a theme. For example (though this isn't possible with the number of people we have), a "Seasons" themed art shop, where each person is a season. I want our shop to have a really cool theme, so feel free to toss out some ideas. Note: There are 5 people in our group. Keep that in mind. Third, do you have any ideas for special events/prizes/contests we can do? We could possibly include a raffle or something. My idea is to have a raffle where each entrant pays something cheap like 25g and we draw for free art prizes! Ideas for theme: Elements 5 Virtues Pastries The 5 senses Hey this is G-Fire on my mule account...I LOVE the idea of the elements...probably because they aren't limited to 4 or 5 or whatever. I like your idea of a theme for the shop...people love the elements and identify with them so I think that might bring in people...heck I would be willing to dress up my avi for a bit as "my" selected element! biggrin As far as games and contests, I like your idea of a raffle though that might be quite a bit of work for you...how many raffle tickets will you be selling? I will try to think on contests and events and stuff...I definitely think so sort of freebie reward for something is always a good idea. It could simply be a reward for being a good customer or for something more distinct like what I did in the old thread...I believe we played art yahtzee...they rolled the dice and if they won they would get a certain kind of freebie prize. I definitely think a theme and games and prizes would be a good idea...we need to draw in people AND beat out all the other art shops out there. We would need signature links for the shop so we can advertise. We might want to offer temp freebies every now and then...open up a quick little freebie shop for a few days, advertise for a our main shop? Anyway, I am going to stop blathering on...I will go retrieve my form and post it here asap.

Right, I should post my form here too. Parae811 I wants to sign up PLWEASE!Username : Parae811 Style: Anime and solely traditional. Samples : a fullbody colored Willing to sell : Sketches and marker colored things. Probably busts and full bodies, and chibis How much should we sell it for? : Sketch bust = 20k, full body = 40k, Color = +60 k, Sketch background = +20k, Colored background = +50k, and colored chibi = 30 k Sorry I have to make it ridiculously expensive 3: (so people don't order from me too often) Are you willing to put in the time and be active in the thread? : To the best of my ability. I'll probably be able to post a couple of times every day. Will you stick with it? : To the best of my ability, yes. College applications, though, you know. I'm going to be somewhat busy. If you can no longer be apart of the shop, will you tell me? : Of course! Your list of will do and Won't do please. : Will do : anything not on the Won't do list Won't do: Anthro, mecha, fanart, anything above PG-13, lots of muscle orz Your Artist Profile Please : Hello, I'm Parae811! I'm seventeen, currently a senior in high school, and positively dying over college applications. Why must we write so many short essays? Why, oh why can't we just write one long one and get it over with? Anyways, I've been drawing for who knows how long, and drawing seriously for perhaps 5 years? Maybe less? I love my Copic markers to death, and if you're a copic artist, tell me so I can give you love. I'm trying to get into digital art, but I just can't get the hang of it - which calls for more practice! I take a ridiculously long time to draw, so. You have been warned. My dream hobby is baking, but in reality I'm quite terrible at it. If anyone can teach me how to bake macarons, I will love you forever. I always listen to music when I draw, although my music taste has been called very weird. I'm currently listening to Chinese piano compositions, the Okami soundtrack, and Joe Hisashi orchestrals. I love to game, but I don't claim to be good at it. Pokemon will forever hold my childhood, and I've started getting into Atlus games (so much ragequitting involved it's not even funny), but right now I'm trying to stumble through the BRS game I bought (it's in Japanese, okay?!). I speak some Chinese and some French, so feel free to get multilingual on me. I will do my best to retailate. Comments/Extra Information : Oh my god my artist profile was so long Again, college applications. I will be busy. If you could perhaps give me three sketch slots and two color slots, that would be great. Perhaps for freebies and contest prizes, I'll offer something digital or watercolor or ballpoint pen - something experimental. Edit: a new sample; Colored full body with background

I've always liked the idea of featuring a guest artist. Maybe each month we could have a guest artist? That way, we could build more of a community feeling, get them (and hopefully their friends) interested in the ball, and get some fresh blood in the shop.
Also, doing the Chance Item game in the thread certainly might give it plenty of bumps, however we'd need a thread or something to keep track of everyone and everything. I think it'd be best if one person kept track of that, to keep things neat.

The idea of a guest artist spot sounds like fun! Getting someone else to come in and join us would be cool. I do like the elements idea too. We can wait until we get more feedback, but it sounds like maybe that theme might work best.

I've never heard of that before. ^_^ I'm going to go update the first post with our ideas.

PinkieKitty Okay, I'm a wee bit confused about the chance item, but it sounds really interesting! Could you explain that more? The idea of a guest artist spot sounds like fun! Getting someone else to come in and join us would be cool. I do like the elements idea too. We can wait until we get more feedback, but it sounds like maybe that theme might work best. Good. I was waiting for someone to say they were confused. Alright, I'm thinking of basing the Chance Item on dice rolls - so it's a game of luck, basically. A user purchases a Chance Item, and (okay, now it gets to the vague changeable part) we quote them with a scene (just like in real CIs) and a choice of whether to continue or quit. They reply, with either quit or continue (and if it's continue, they roll the dice - if they roll a winning number, they move onto the next stage. etc etc etc). So, for each stage the user ends up at, we could have a certain pool of prizes - people who lose get a smaller prize, like a sketch, those who quit halfway get a waist-up color, those who win the entire thing get a fullbody color plus background or something - each artist could volunteer some art like that. We can have a certain "value" for each stage the user ends up at (losing gets you 5k worth of art, quitting halfway gets you 30k worth of art, winning all the way gets you 100-200k worth of art). I'm thinking around 5-6 stages (like a Gaia CI), and about 30k each? (whoa that's expensive) Creating a thread for this would help organization, just list each user that owns a CI and their stage. Then, later, their prize, and we can roll dice to see whose prize they get...? And whether they've received their prize or not...? If you're still confused, please tell me and tell me how. I'm pretty confused right now, tbh
