Pharos found herself again and a very weird situation, for the third time in a week. It seemed patrolling wasn't exactly as fun as she thought it would be. Currently she was in a tree trying to avoid a walking vegetable garden. It was weird with all it vines and plethora of vegetable growing out at very which angle and not only that it was bigger that Pharos.
She was high up in the tree trying to fend of the youma with the branch she snapped off and having a hard time of it as the vines tried to grab her and she hard carrots, potatoes and even some lima beans pelted at her.
Her flower lay abandoned on the ground and she scoffed at it and it's uselessness. "Back of you crazy beast. Just you wait, when I get down I'm going to dust you."
Pharos of course wasn't entirely sure how she was going to manage an escape from the tree, but at least she did know from Camelot what she had to attempt to do to end the youma.

A monster was nearby.
At times it was just hard to go outside and do things like normal because there were times where monsters would be nearby. For normal people, that wouldn't be too big of an issue. However, Yvette suffered from a condition that allow her to sense the monsters. As wonderful as it was to feel the odd tingling sensation at the base of her spine, which essentially caused her legs to turn into jelly, the poor girl was essentially stuck in place.
She'd have to wait for whichever beastie it was to come find her and attack her. If she was lucky, someone like Camelot, or perhaps even a senshi would come along and protect her.
Maybe I've just been lucky up to now... she told herself. Yvette wasn't exactly prone to being an optimist, frequently beating down her own positive ideas with what she suspected were more realistic viewpoints.
Eventually she managed to pause from her self-loathing and worrying to notice what exactly was setting off her issues this time around. Nearby a strange plant-monster seemed to be attacking something in a tree. Carefully her deep purple eyes squinted in the direction of the tree, managing to catch a few hints of pink in the tree.
"...is... that a person?" she squeaked out.

Pharos did not notice the other girl nearby, instead she had her hands full of giant walking vegetable garden, literally. The things had managed to pry away the branch she had secured and now she had a hold on the vines trying to keep them away from her.
Pharos was one to believe in the possible, but she couldn't help but to think the whole situation was ridiculous. Trying to wrestle a garden was crazy, but Pharos had to admit it would make an amazing story.
"Whoa," she shouted as the beast's vines got a hold of her ankle and plucked her from the tree and tossed her too the ground. She groaned at the impact, but the tiny page had to scramble to her feet as garden was intent on tearing her limb from limb.
She jumped up, tried to dodge the coming vegetables flung at her. They reeked. She wondered briefly if she could catch one and attempted it, only to be find the carrot mush between her finger.
"Yuck!"

The girl was a quiet one, and even in the sheer terror of seeing yet another monster on the rampage, she really couldn't let out any sort of loud sound. Yvette was the sort who shrunk up in fear and couldn't even let out a sound. The action soon enough had gone from the tree to the ground, and seemed to be coming closer and closer.
In fact, the dark-haired girl soon enough found herself being pelted with seemingly rotten vegetables. It was almost like she was the comedian on the stage who was getting booed off the stage. A stray tomato was wedged amidst the vegetables and soon enough the poor girl's dress had a splattered bomb of red juice.
"...n-no..." This was possibly the WORST stain to get when stuck with a monster and unable to do anything about it.

Pharos too was getting pelting and not at all like the gross smelly vegetable that stained her fuku. The smell was making her kind of nauseous, but she had to ignore it, in favor of trying to find a way to get rid of the thing.
She didn't noticed the other girl until half way up another tree, trying to avoid vegetabled and vines that came after her. She frowned at the girl who seemed to be frozen.
"What are you doing," she shouted at the girl. She wasn't wearing a crazy get up and Pharos didn't feel anything from her so she didn't really understand what the girl was doing.
"Don't just stand there! It's going to get you," she shouted again scrambling away from a vine and grabbing a branch to throw like a spear at the monster, only to miss.

If Yvette had been standing, she would have been so thrilled! Unfortunately, she was stuck on the ground like a useless, USELESS girl. She was getting close to the verge of tears, since she was now being shouted at by some stranger of a girl, and no Camelot was coming to her aid.
"I... I c-can't..." she stammered out, though it wasn't exactly very loud. She knew from experience that the best she could do was drag her body along with her arms. To demonstrate, she pushed her body up slightly and attempted to feebly put her feet to the ground to stand up.
As suspected, the moment she attempted to stand up, her body seemed to collapse down again.

The vegetable monster seemed to noticed a new less feisty prey and turned to the terrified girl making Pharos eyes go wide. The girl seemed completely unable to do anything and Pharos had to frown a bit at the obviously older girl. She need a plan.
The monsters with all it vines was after the girl and Pharos drawing a blank. She didn't have time to think, no she just had to act and so that what she did. The little page jumped from the tree on to the youma and began to attempt to rip away parts of the vegetation.
"Get up," she shouted at the girl whilst the anger youma's vines tried to fling her off failing to do so as Pharos had a good bit of vegetation gripped in her hands.
Several vines wrapped around Pharos and tugged her into the air, gripping her tight while she flailed and kicked, hoping to land a good blow. She looked at the girl again, "I know you're scared," she shouted, "but you gotta be brave please. The prince can't always save the princess, sometimes she has to do it herself."

Tears started streaming down the girl's face. However, even Yvette was uncertain of the cause. Was it because she was scared? Was the proximity of the monster too much for her? Or was it the fact that this girl had just essentially called her a coward? Why couldn't the girl understand that if she could run away, she would have done that long ago?!
If she were a more stubborn girl, she would have refused to attempt the girl's request of fleeing the scene just to show her that there was something physically wrong with her at the moment.
However, even an ounce of desire for self preservation resulted in the girl pushing up to her arms and using her arms to drag herself along a bit. It hurt her legs a bit, since they hadn't lost any feeling and now were scraping against the ground. In all honesty, the poor girl had been reduced to being like an old dog who had lost use of its hind legs.
Her cheeks must have been very red. She knew it, and she knew it wasn't necessarily from the crying either!

Pharos finally managed to hook the heel of her shoe over the vine that held her up snapping it and being dropped to the ground with a thump. She groaned but quickly scrambled to her feet and made a beeline for the struggling girl reaching her and grabbing for the back of her shirt to pull her up. Unfortunately for Yvette Pharos wasn't Camelot and she currently needed a distraction, a short one, but a distraction non the less, and Yvette seemed a good one.
Pharos heaved trying to pull the girl to her feet, but instead of running, she turned toward the youma ready to push the girl at it. She spotted an umbrella in a trash bin not to far off that she thought might be helpful in defeating the monster and she doubted the girl would be able to retrieve, so this was the plan. She wondered if she warn the girl first.
"Over here," she shouted at the giant walking gardern.

For a moment, the girl felt a brief relief from the burden of her own fears. She was lifted up by the shirt, which did cause a bit of stress along her neckline. It would be worth it, she would be rescued...
Or not.
"W-wait, what?!" she squeaked as this strangely dressed girl seemed to try and call the monster over!
This definitely was not the way she wanted to spend her day!

Pharos, frowned slightly, but pushed anyway sending Yvette towards the approaching monster with a small "trust me." After she made for the trash bin, frantic to reach it before the monster did something awful to the girl. Her eyes widened at the realization that came after and she resolved to apologize profusely when the youma was destroyed.
Grabbing the the umbrella, she headed for a big tree off to the side of the walking vegetable garden and scrambled up it, getting onto a thick branch and umbrella held at ready. She took a stance ready to jump and drive the umbrella right through the monster.
"Here goes, nothing," she whispered, "one, two ..."

Being pushed didn't make her go too far in all honesty. With her legs the way they were, she fell into a useless huddle right in front of the creature. Perhaps she hadn't heard the hushed words said in departure, or maybe she decided to not listen to the words of comfort.
She wasn't a fighter. She curled up pretty quickly into a ball, just waiting for the monster to be through with her.

The monster had it vines out grabbing hold of Yvette, but it wasn't going to get her today. Pharos jumped from the tree on the three count umbrella held above her head poised to plunged into the crazy beast.
She gave a yelp going down, her umbrella connecting with the monster and driving into its middle. It cried out as Pharos clicked the release button on the umbrella and the youma turned to dust covering the little page and very likely the girl she just unconventionally saved.
Pharos went over to the girl and held out a hand, "You know. I think it might be best if you invested in some self defense classes. It's not good to freeze up when something is attacking you."

She hadn't been looking, curled up that little ball. She hadn't witnessed what had exactly happened to the monster, but at one point her legs stopped tingling.
The monster had been defeated.
Shyly she peeked up, finding a gross charred ash-like substance floating in the air. It smelled awful. She eventually managed to catch sight of a hand extended out towards her.
There was a bit of hesitation as she attempted to sit herself upright first. With the commentary the strangely dressed girl made, Yvette couldn't help but blink her deep purple eyes almost owlishly in response.
She won't understand... I'm not freezing up... I just... my legs just... no amount of self defense will fix any of this... and... didn't she just push me at the monster?
Despite all her legitimate doubts, she gave her hand to the other girl, not saying a word in response to the suggestions.

She pulled the girl's hand, smiling slightly as she pulled trying to help the girl to her feet. "I'm Pharos, by the way. I'm still pretty new at this, um things tend to go a bit haywire if I haven't got any help. Sorry about you know pushing you. I needed a distraction, but maybe that wasn't the best way to get it."
She was rambling a bit, but stopped after a minute and gave a big grin, "but you're okay right? Um do you need me to walk to your car or something. I think it might be a good idea if we both got home and got a bath. I got icky vegetables gunk in my hair."
She laughed a little pulling some of the gunk out of her hair and tossing it to the ground.
