Leon was right that he needed to work out, and he'd rather not do sparring all the time else he would be face down in his bed between fights all day. It wasn't power that he needed. Unlike the Suns, his weapon wasn't heavy and massive. It shot eggs, and in that he didn't need force. It was how tired and exhausted he felt after. Clearly he just needed to get in shape.
After asking around on twitter, a tool he was finding very helpful around here, he dressed to work out, set a white towel over his neck, and went to the cafeteria to wait. He hoped that the gym was large in that he would be ignored, but it sucked that his ipod wasn't working. It would help during these trips.

Cass was a bit of a gym animal. Just a small one, though, like a chipmunk or a squirrel or something. It was part of how she'd adapted to ensure her survival.
That was partially why she'd been so willing to stick her neck out to help out Melvin despite how their last meeting had gone. Sigh. Story of her life. Maybe she'd write a gym rap for Rin while she was there.
Still, she was no degree of dressed-to-impress as she made her way to the cafeteria. Comfortable, yes, but... that was probably it. She could see Melvin when she stepped in, offering a small wave as she made her way over, half stretching her arms as she walked.
"Surprised you didn't recruit Leon for thia venture."

Rin arrived a bit later, not dressed any differently from usual. It was highly plausible she had no intention of doing any actual working out herself. But, discovering more about this place was in itself was an adventure and possibly the best way to get things back to normal.
She noticed the two soon after entering the cafeteria and immediately went over to them; smiling and offering a wave, "Hey guys, we doing anything first or going straight there?"

While he hadn't gotten off to a good start with Miss Norris, he only needed to find the gym. It was such a simple task that anyone could have shown it to him. It was best to just take first offer and not to appear to make anything too personal by rejecting Cassandra when she was offering to help. It was childish, though he did have a moment where he just looked at the tweet on the screen and tabbed his thumb in indecision.
"I'll probably hit him up when I actually need to do very serious training. I don't want to be turned into paste on the first day." Leon was clearly familiar with gym equipment, and he didn't want to embarrass himself that quickly.
Rin showed up soon after but not in any sporty clothes. He guessed she just wanted to check the place out. This was good considering he didn't want too many people seeing him flail miserably around the weights.
Looking at Cassandra, she didn't seem to have anything else she needed to do. "I think we're ready to just head over." He looked to Miss Norris to lead the way.

As it was, Cass was a bit too forgiving. For her to really hold a grudge..well.... nobody actually knew what happened when she got that angry. In fact, Cass's limit on getting angry was a myth as well....
Never the less, she couldn't help but smile and shrug a bit. "Probably true. Leon's a good person to go to for getting into not-dying condition to start off with, though." Cass could have praised Big-Bro Leon to the stars and back, however. She was biased. He was likely the biggest factor in why she hadn't gotten herself killed.
The other was probably Marcus.
"Probably shouldn't waste any time, really. It's easy to lose motivation to head over there when you get distracted by ice cream and the butt of whoever you live next door to." She'd confess to it - Bix's butt had been a distraction. But only if she was asked would she confess.
"It's actually not too hard to find the gym, but...I guess they don't include it on the grand tour of the place....." Cass scratched her head. "... What -do- they include on the grand tour of the place for newbies now? They just dumped my group on a beach with handguns and said 'Have fun'...."

"I... uhh... I'm to blame for that," Rin gave Cass a wary look before turning that look on Melvin, "I swear I thought I showed anything that was relevant... I guess it was relevant at the time. At least you didn't starve to death by not knowing where food was and snack machines, amIrite?"
Sure, blame him, that'll totally ease your guilt for ******** up a simple tour. She frowned but moved as if she intended to follow them on out on the tail end of things.

Melvin wasn't getting what Cass was talking about, and just looked at her before saying, "I don't have any neighbors." Therefor, no neighbor butts. Melvin lived at the far end of the hallway and his closest neighbor, from what he could tell, was a few rooms away. "Does your...fiance live near you?" That was the butt she was talking about? Then again, he then wondered why he was even asking.
When the tour was mentioned, Melvin turned to Rin not to accuse her, but to see what she would say. "I don't know what is all supposed to be on the tour, but Rin showed me. She's the first person I met." Even though he first thought she was a robot, and then a porn star after that. He really wasn't sure what to think of her now. "At least you did show me the cafeteria, labs, training fields, and dorms." It was the basics. "It would be nice if they gave out maps." He had lived off of his campus map when he was a freshman.

She couldn't help but smile a bit. "No neighbors is kind of a good set up, though. Not lonely, given how often you're stuck with the rest of us anyways. Just..quiet. Marcus's room has never been next to mine. He just kind of moved into my room when the dorms exploded and hasn't moved out." Which was probably bad for her neighbors. Whoops.
"Oh...so they've put tour duty on us now? That... seems about right." Cass massaged her forehead. "I'd probably have covered those same places if it had been me. The library too, possibly. That place is a gold mine." She didn't blame Rin for a bad tour - after all, she didn't even know where the gym was. How was she supposed to tell anybody else where it was?
"Have you seen Excalibur yet, then?" she paused. Was that room even in tact still after the Horseman raid? Either way, Cass had started walking.

"You'd think so," Rin grumbled softly at the talk about no neighbors, "I picked my place 'cause no one else was living around it but as soon as I moved in - Rep moved right in next door. Worst. Neighbor. Ever." Even though she quickly got used to his late night karaoke sessions and after his room was destroyed began to miss him quite a lot.
"These days though it's just deathly quiet back there. Almost haunting," she confessed with a quiet mutter as the other two finally put her insecurities about her first tour to rest. She was proud of that tour. She thought she did a damn good job. Thought. Apparently she'd forgotten Excalibur too. Oops.

Melvin gave off a short laugh of disbelief, thinking the two girls were pulling his leg. "Wait - Excalibur? Is the round table here too?" They had got to be kidding...........right?
He didn't notice much laughing though. "Are you two serious?"

Cass patted Rin on the shoulder and offered her a small smile. Clearly it was how she was going to communicate that she was sorry she didn't know what she was talking about. After all, Cass had roomed surrounded by people. She really didn't know. "Ha ha, Rep, Harrison, and Jordan were in the room next to Marcus and me after hell broke loose. You can guess how that's gone..."
Melvin's verbal expression of disbelief caused Cass to give the older boy a look with her brow's slightly lifted.
"..... There's not a round table, but we totally have Excalibur chilling out underneath the place with Merlin. They used to be Unseelie Fae demons or something like that and Merlin got this bright idea to turn the best knight of one clan into a weapon and then Arthur got a hold of it and then stuff happened..." Cass waved her hands a bit. "Mostly like Excalibur telling Arthur, while Arthur was on the verge of death, how to create more weapons like him."
In the back of her head, Nicodemus seemed to frown. Her ability to tell stories was significantly lacking, sadly. Or rather, not really, but still. It was... it was a thing. Kind of.
"So yeah. Deathly serious. Congratulations, Deus ex Machina is the legacy of King Arthur and you could pretend to be a knight." Obviously, Cass thought this was a great idea.

"You don't remember the round table? It was sitting in front of us anytime we'd get called in for missions?" she baffled at Cass in idle disbelief, "All I really know is it is a very beautiful round table that William wanted to break and there was some sort of issue with its roundness."
She looked around as they went, trying to commit their surroundings to memory along the route, "Are we almost there?"

Melvin was rather stunned with disbelief to be follow the conversation. There was Merlin and Excalibur here? Did he just hang out downstairs in some basement? "Can we actually see Excalibur?" It seemed unreal that they would actually have it around. He grew up watching Sword and the Stone, not to mention having to do terrible essays in class. Everyone knew about Arthur and the Round table.
"The actual round table was the one Arthur used in his court to show that all men were equal. A replica is different." He finally caught up to the conversation, before looking back at Cass, a little excited. "Is there THE round table?" Sure, he preferred Sci-Fi, but fantasy of the magical sort got anyone a bit excited, right?
