This RP is between Vyrikyr Taerdos (Angelique DelaMort) and Catori (Theidren) Vyrikyr picked her way carefully through the tall grass that stretched across the meadow. Though she was rather steady on her long legs, the hidden terrain presented some challenges to the foal's balance, not to mention a vast world of unknown adventures! Her every movement seemed to bring the world around her to life. From butterflies flitting suddenly to the sky from around her feet to the sight of small mice and moles skittering around on the grassy terrain. All in all this was a Fantastic place! She would have to be sure to bring her siblings back here some time so they could all explore it (long after their dear doubting Daddy went to sleep, of course). Well, that was if she could find her way back herself.
"Now was that a right at the big oak tree by the river or a left...." she mused to herself as she continued padding carefully through the brush. She wasn't worried. She never got worried. And neither her nor her siblings were ever scared of anything. They were the first to rush out and find out what made that strange noise in middle of the night. They crossed the river at the deep part of the stream where the current was strong. They were the brave ones, the bold...at least as long as their father was out of sight and out of mind. BUT if Vyrikyr didn't make it home before sundown she knew her father would start to worry. And that was Never good. Once he found her she would be grounded in the most severe sense of the word. So she really would have to work on finding her way home....just as soon as she checked out that new flower over there.

Catori had decided that it looked like a nice enough day to go off a little further than she was used to and explore. Tentatively at first the filly had snuck away wobbling about thanks to the weight of her tail. Her sister had told her it was a tail for swimming but she didn't know how to do that yet. So until then she struggled to get used to the feel of it. Catori enjoyed the feel of different grasses under her hooves and the smells that swept by on the breeze.
As Catori had wandered further and further she gained a little more confidence. She saw all kinds of interesting plants, a small bird the fly so fast it's wings looked invisible. She wondered if they were wings like her sister Guen's. Catori tried to chase the small bird but it zipped so fast she quickly lost it. When she stopped and looked around she was unsure of where she was. Catori quickly turned in a circle and started to move off in the direction she thought was right, but stopped. She could hear the rush of water somewhere near her. Why did I leave without Guen or Marlowe she thought and began to panic. Catori now filled with fear began to cry out, a pitiful whiney. Would she ever get home?

Vyrikyr's inspection of the lovely wild rose was cut short by the sad cry that punctured the quiet of the serene glen. "Hello?" she called out following the sound without hesitation. "Is someone there? Are you alright?"

Catori could hear someone else nearby. "Hello?!" She began to feel desperate and so so lost. The poor filly felt this might be the worst mistake she had ever made. Trying to go out and explore by herself who did she think she was? "Hello? I'm lost!" She cried and tried to follow the sound of the other's voice. Whoever it was sounded like they might be nice....and not someone who would munch on her. Catori's mind filled with the scary storied she had heard tossed around.

"It's ok!" Vyrikyr called out spotting a moving figure ahead. "I see you! Don't worry!" She slowed to a trot as she came closer to what she could now tell was another filly. "Hi there! My name is Vyrikyr, are you alright?"

Catori tried to calm herself as the voice spoke to her again. Whoever it was sounded like they would not eat her at least. She stood starting to sniffle as another filly came into view.
"I'm.. I'm Catori..." She managed to get out as she tried to calm herself now that she wasn't alone. "I'm not hurt....just lost." Catori admitted to the other filly. She looked down at her front hooves in shame. "I got turned around when I tried to follow this buzzing bird" She rambled on to Vyrikyr. "Do...do you live here?" She looked up slowly and asked.

"Oh no," Vyrikyr giggled and shook her head. "I don't live here. I'm lost too. But as long as I get home before dusk, Daddy will never know." The foal regarded the other's tearful and fearful state for a moment. "I'm going to guess you don't go exploring much, do you?" she asked gently.

She paid careful attention as she listened to Vyrikyr, it helped her to fully calm down. "Well..I like to, but nobody wanted to come with me." Catori sighed and swished her tail slowly. "I was doing pretty good until I followed that funny bird." She noted that the other filly did not seemed to be very worried about being lost. Just as long as she got home before dusk. "You go out by yourself a lot?" Catori asked and suddenly felt a little ashamed that she had gotten so upset. Maybe she could learn from Vyrikyr how to be a more accomplished explorer.

The foal considered the question a moment before answering, "Sometimes. If my siblings are already off on their own they can't very well expect for me to wait for them to get back before I have an adventure. Although my sister, Idris, and I tend to get into a few scrapes here and there. Which reminds me!" She brightened and perked up her ears, "I'll have to show Idris those flowers I found when I get back, provided I do get back - I've never seen anything like them. Do you want to see?"
(Your girl is lovely all grown up! I do love the fuller body types)

Catori considered what Vyrikyr said and realized she was right. Her siblings had been to busy with their own things that she had just gone out by herself. She felt slightly proud of herself now, even if she did get lost. "Flowers?" Catori perked up even more she loved flowers. "Yes I wanna see" the filly smiled and flicked her finned tail in excitement. "You've never ever seen them before? wooooow" She said in amazement.
(Thank you! I'm so beyond ecstatic! She looks like she'd be a strong swimmer....once she learns lol haha)

"Yeah!" She beamed and trotted off back towards where she's seen the plants. "Well, I've seen some flowers like this before but never in colors like this!" Vyrikyr stopped before a brilliant golden flower, "Look at how it seems to almost shiny with a light of its own! I've seen these before in the woods in red and pink...but not usually gold."

The filly happily followed Vyrikyr to where she had found the flowers. "Oh wow" Catori gasped as she peered down at the lovely golden blossoms. "I've never seen anything like these." She leaned further down and sniffled at them. "We don't have any flowers like these down by the beach." She beamed and gave an excited laugh. "Do the ones you've seen like them have a name?" Catori asked and looked over to Vyrikyr.

Vyrikyr frowned for a moment in thought before responding, "Roses, wild ones I'd bet." She grinned, "You know, considering we're on the wild and all. Oh, and I wouldn't try to eat it or anything - it may look pretty but wrapped all around the steam are sharp, prickly thorns. They'll get you of you're not careful." It took an extra beat for the rest of Catori's statement to registrar. "Wait, the beach? You live on the beach?" Without waiting for an answer she continued to trill, "That's so Cool! My Auntie Sonja's told us about the beach before and all the sand and water but we've never been able to go. We think it's because Dad's scared of the water, or what's in the water, or something. But that's still so cool!" The excitable filly was practically bouncing by now.
