She probably should've gone home after the whole encounter with the Dark Mirror senshi from earlier. But honestly, Vanadis was still a bit weirded out by how aggressively she'd responded to the other's words, not to mention the completely random initiative she'd shown in actually attacking first. Well. Not completely random - she'd always, always been very firm in her beliefs of being kind and good and nice to everyone, after all, and the other senshi had totally not been doing that. So maybe she'd over-reacted a bit, but Vanadis had never been confronted with the urge to fight someone before, never; she'd done it because it was her duty, or because she was saving a civilian, or even just to defend herself, but she'd never, ever really wanted to fight someone. Except for tonight. And now she was wandering around, a bit more bruised than she'd begun the evening - the most notable of which was a lovely black eye still forming. Really, she should've gone home to bed. Instead, Vanadis was roaming the streets, looking confused and half-lost in thoughts. It was only inevitable that she'd end up running into someone in this state, really.

Lt. Natron also probably should not have been out that night. Really, at this point, he shouldn't be out most nights, since he was still getting the hang of the whole "hitting back" thing. But he had yet to get the s**t kicked out of him since his unfortunate encounter with Troy, and so he was feeling a bit more confident in approaching Order auras again.
He felt a little like a stalker, sneaking up on this girl in the dark, but she was one of them. One of the aliens. She had to be, with er Order signature and her decorated outfit and her beribboned...stuff.
Yup, definitely a senshi.
Now, how to approach? The last time he had dramatically declared himself, attacked first, and been pounded into the pavement.
Also she wasn't looking too good and he felt bad for her. (This was a new one, Natron feeling bad for an alien, but, well, he definitely knew how nasty a black eye could be.)
"Hey! Hey, uh, you!" He kept his promise to Troy and did not address her as an alien. "Are you okay?" Whoops, he wasn't supposed to say that. Oh well, too late now.

She hadn't even noticed the Chaos signature creeping in, which was probably a good indication that she shouldn't have been out and about on her own. But it was a bit too late now that the guy in question was talking to her and-- Wait. Vanadis blinked, staring at the guy for a bit. He was handsome, she thought, and she was pretty sure that she'd have been blushing right about now if it wasn't because she was still so weirded out from her earlier fight. As it was, he'd asked her a question, and a really nice one, at that. "Oh, um-" she hesitated for a second, blinking again before shaking her head to clear her thoughts, "I'm f-fine. Well, not right now because it kind of hurts, but they're just bruises and they'll probably be gone in a few days, anyway. I hope." She floundered for a moment, just watching him before she finally attempted a nice smile. He didn't seem so bad, after all, and hadn't she just been the one making a big deal about treating people nicely? "How about you?" She took a step closer, testing the waters to see if he'd freak out when she moved or anything like that. You never knew.

"Ah, that looks pretty nasty." Natron had to look like the least intimidating member of the Negaverse right then, standing in front of her holding a dodgeball and looking awkward.
Which reminded him, he didn't feel like fighting. So he concentrated and his weapon vanished. There, look, he was all unarmed and stuff. Totally safe to approach. He didn't panic when she got closer, but he also didn't move himself. He was still trying to figure out what he was doing.
"I'm doing alright, I guess." He said. 'Except for the part where something gave me brain damage because I'm talking to the enemy.' Yeah, this was his threshold for crazy, having a nice conversation with a girl he was probably supposed to be beating up.
Well, know thy enemy, right?
"So, uh, you're a Senshi, right?" He asked. He was like, 99% sure. But that one percent was the killer. "From outer space and everything?"

Okay, so he was definitely not freaking out - that was a plus, in her book. The haze from her earlier fight was starting to wear off, and she noticed that he was armed just in time to feel faintly alarmed before he de-summoned his, er, ball? It looked faintly familiar, but Vanadis had never been very good at gym class; too un-coordinated, despite her lanky frame that'd briefly made her popular as the girl to pick for basketball. The look of the ball rang a bell, but she couldn't put an actual name to it. Not that it mattered anymore, now that he'd de-summoned it, or whatever it was called when Negaversers made their weapons vanish. "Oh, that's good to h-hear." Her smile got a bit brighter, now that she was pretty certain he wasn't distracting her with conversation only to find an opportune moment to attack. "Er, I'm a senshi, but not really... from outer space?" She blinked, thinking for a moment. "I'm pretty sure I'm from Earth, y'know like, born and raised? My parents are from D-Denmark, but I'm not really sure that counts as outer space." She sounded a bit dubious though, as though it wouldn't really surprise her that much to be told that Denmark was actually outer space.

"Well, I mean, not...literally." Natron frowned. "Like, your...soul or whatever?" He gestured at the sky, as if that clarified everything. To be fair, it was a little beyond what even he was used to.
Sigh. Things were so much simpler when it was literal aliens in UFOs making crop circles and abducting cows.
"Soooo I'm Lt. Natron," he said, offering her a hand. There was a part of him that was borderline excited. This was the first Senshi he'd spoken to, and it was a very surreal experience, even for someone with his particular bent of interests. Actual polite conversation with a space invader? Totally awesome, in its way.

"I, er, guess so? Sorry, I don't really know a whole lot of details about this senshi thing. Been out of t-the loop for a bit and all." She laughed awkwardly, fiddling with a pigtail. It was true that she was representing the asteroid Vanadis, but she'd never really thought of it like her soul being from outer space, regardless. Her soul was just her, wasn't it? Nothing weird about it. Although she guessed some people would consider being a senshi 'weird', so maybe he wasn't that far off after all. Oh well, it was all a bit confusing, really. "Sailor Vanadis, Senshi of Wards." Despite the odd circumstances, she shook his hand with her usual enthusiastic yet limp grip. "You, um, have a weapon, right?" Looking more than a bit excited, she continued, "W-was it that ball you were holding earlier?" She'd never really had a chance to discuss Negaverse weapons with, well, anyone and she was really curious, OK. And who better to hear the details from than the source! It was worth a try, at least, right?

Natron frowned. Maybe the sort of confusion Vanadis was expressing was why so many on the Order side seemed in denial of their extraterrestrial origins. They just didn't know. Or didn't understand. That made perfect sense.
"Wards? Like, protection from evil and stuff?" The word seemed vaguely familiar to Natron. He was pretty sure he'd seen it in an article about some metaphysical thing at Stonehenge.
New age stuff. Pffff.
"Yeah, Negaversers have weapons, I guess since we don't have magic like you all?" Oh no, what if he was somehow sharing state secrets with the enemy? But then again, Painite had a nasty spear, which he imagined was hard to miss. It couldn't be that secret that they had weapons. "Mine is, uh, a dodgeball. Apparently they get cooler? My general has a spear, which is just awesome." He grinned and summoned his weapon. "See?"
Vaguely, he wondered if he was treading into dangerous territory. But hey, share and share alike, right? Maybe he could get some information on Senshi magic out of her.

"Yeah! At least, um, that was what I came up with w-when I went searching to find out what it was. And it fits with what my power does I guess, so, um, that's probably what it is." She had spent a considerable amount of time tracking down everything she could about wards when she'd first become a senshi. Googling had been her preferred method - most of it had been stuff from various video games though, but eventually she'd managed to find some websites about ancient wards. There'd also been a couple of books, but they hadn't really been for amateur historians; they'd used a lot of fancy words and referenced a lot of other books with even fancier words, and had generally just been fairly useless. "Oh wow, that's awesome!" Squinting inquisitively at the dodgeball, she tried to see if it had any hidden spikes or traps or, really, anything that made it a better weapon. Nope, it seemed to be just a normal dodgeball to her eyes. "Do you like, k-know how it gets better? I mean, is there like, a chart or something? Although you can probably still do a lot of damage with a dodgeball, couldn't you? Maybe give someone a concussion. Or a black eye." She absentmindedly touched her fingers to the bruise forming around one of her eyes. Stuff like that could really hurt, she now knew firsthand.

Natron nodded, and filed away that bit of information. So Senshi powers were tied to whatever thing or concept they were the Senshi of. That was good to know! And very interesting information.
He was surprised by her enthusiastic response to his weapon, but then, it was pretty neat even at this stage. And as he'd discovered, he could do some decent damage with it. "Uhh, I really have no idea, actually." He said. "But it's alright for now, and I guess I'll see when I get promoted. What about you? Did you just, like, know how your magic worked? Do you know what it'll do later?" It almost seemed harder to be a Senshi than to be a Negaverser. Senshi had to figure out magic. He just had to hit things and drain energy.

"Y-yeah, it definitely doesn't seem like the worst weapon." At least in her opinion - frankly, sometimes she thought she'd be better off with a dodgeball, rather than the purely defensive magic she'd gotten. Being able to ward off enemies wasn't so very useful when trying to bash a youma's face in. But it was an OK ability, she figured, even if it lacked the sheer usefulness of Ganymede's attack. "Oh, um, no," she grimaced, "had to figure out how it worked the hard way. Like, trial and error? It w-was pretty touch and go for a while there in the beginning." Had certainly made fights a bit of a hazard, that was for sure. "And I'm not entirely sure what it'll do later, but it'll probably have something to do with wards again." She thought for a second. "I think that once you, um, hit Super Sailor stage, your attack gets even awesomer. Like, it gets upgraded with new stuff? And then for Eternal - that's the one with the butt-wings - I think you get a whole new magic. At least that's what I've g-gathered." There was always a possibility that she'd been misled somehow, but the information sounded pretty sound to Vanadis. Maybe she should've felt a bit bad about sharing information with the enemy, but Natron was just so nice. And it wasn't like he wouldn't learn all this stuff by himself, eventually - she was sure any Negaverser who was in action for more than a couple of months could figure this stuff out. So she just sped things up a bit for him, no big deal.

Natron grinned when she complimented his weapon again. "It is pretty great, huh? I mean, I've heard some lieutenants get really, really useless stuff." He said. At least he could do something like damage with his weapon.
He frowned. Jeez, that was really unfair. "Wow, that's awful. I mean, I had my General to show me the ropes when I got started. She taught me a lot." He couldn't imagine what would've happened if he'd been corrupted and just left to stumble blindly around the city. Bad things, probably. "Okay, so the stronger you are, the better your magic? That's neat," he said. It was also good information. Buttwings = Eternal = bad things for poor Negaverse Lieutenants.
He was glad Vanadis was so willing to share. It was good going into things with his information straight. And maybe he was telling her a lot about the Negaverse, but really, it was the bare basics...because he only knew the bare basics.

"Oh wow, that must suck. W-what kind of stuff did they get?" Every Negaverser she'd met so far had seemed pretty lethal, and definitely not impeded by anything like useless weaponry. Or maybe she was just so bad at fighting that even useless weaponry could get the better of her. Hmm. "That sounds awesome! Having someone to help me out when I was starting w-would've been really nice. Really nice." The kind of nice that could've possibly prevented quite a few beat-downs. That kind of nice. She nodded, "Yeah, at least that's how I've, um, understood it to be. B-but it depends a lot on what you're a senshi of, like, some spheres are just more bad a** than others, I guess?"

"Really silly stuff, like I think one of the generals started with a paintbrush?" Natron didn't know many specifics, just that it could be really, really bad. "But we're supposed to be super physically tough so I guess we make up for it?" He shrugged.
"Oh man, it was amazing. She didn't tell me everything, but there is way more to this than she could ever tell me, I guess," he said, "and I mean, I gotta figure out some stuff on my own." He sighed. He couldn't imagine being dumped into this with no guidance.
He let out a little snort. "I guess that makes sense, like, a Senshi of pillows or whatever probably wouldn't have a really overly badass attack." He said. All of this was so very, very interesting.

"A paintbrush?" Vanadis boggled. "That's... really bad, yeah. You d-definitely got the better end of the stick, then. I mean, I'm pretty sure even Sailor Scout attacks are more useful than that, really." But she nodded thoughtfully when he mentioned being physically stronger - that did make sense to her. Certainly all the Negaversers she'd ever fought seemed to hit harder than she did. "It's all a bit of a learning p-process, I think. Like, there's so many little things that even though you have help, you still have to discover some of it for yourself. Or, um, at least that's how I've looked at it." Her brow wrinkled, "and some of the senshi spheres are just a bit odd, honestly."
