She really didn't know why she'd picked this park of all parks in Destiny City. Really, she probably should've gone for something a bit less, well, crowded. Every bench seemed to be occupied and no-one paid much mind to a lone senshi wandering the parkways, looking for trouble.

That was probably because everyone was sleeping. The occasional hobo gave her the stink eye (one even shook his fist at her), but that was about all the reaction she garnered here. And it was the perfect spot to look for bad guys, right? After all, much as she'd prefer patrolling some completely deserted spot, there really weren't all that many Negaversers looking to drain energy from wall fixtures and containers. Could you even drain energy from stuff that wasn't even human? Vanadis had no clue, but she was pretty sure not, otherwise that'd probably be Chaos' new preferred target given that, you know, inanimate objects tended not to fight back/run away/scream/generally make the job harder.

But then again, she was way behind on what was what in the current times and there'd even been talk that the Negaverse no longer took people's starseeds. Frankly, she had no idea what was even up these days, and most of the time she just kinda floated along and tried being a good senshi in-between whatever the hell was going on.

Which was she was here. In the park full of hobos. Staring at a girl with honey-coloured hair and two, um, feathers on her head? Yeah, okay, right - Vanadis could deal with that. What was slightly harder was that the girl was definitely, definitely a chaotic signature and, from the baby-doll style drape thing on her dress, pretty likely also from the Dark Mirror Court.

Which meant that she was the enemy and Vanadis had to do something about her. "Um, you!" She paused, floundering for a few seconds before drawing her shoulders tighter in determination, "You're with Chaos, r-right?"

I really wanted to name this 'Midnight Encounters in the Hobo Park', but that was too long ):

Lesath was rather bored with the night so far. And this part of the park was just too smelly. She had already drained two or three hobos so far and had moved them to mirrorspace where they wouldn’t stink anything else up and suddenly.

Well…maybe the night wouldn’t end so boringly at the very least.

The blonde withdrew her mirror wraiths and let the hobo she had been draining sink back into his drunken stupor. She turned around and grinned. “Nice pigtails, stutter girl. What is it you want?” She gave a cocky grin, and crossed her arms in front of her chest. “I am indeed with Chaos. Is there something you think that you can do about that? Do you intend to…” She laughed. “Do you intend to try and stop me or something?”

Lesath looked around. “Why would you even protect people like this? They’re useless to society…I’m doing the city a favor. I’m working on cleaning up its streets. Hell, I’m even working to improve the economy. If we don’t have homeless fools, then we won’t have to provide so many charitable services.”

Okay, so, Vanadis wasn't exactly an aggressive person. She really wasn't - attacking people, even those who were with Chaos, was something she rarely did. Usually other people landed the first blow, and Vanadis just tried to find as many reasons as possible not to fight someone. While feebly trying to defend herself.

But this girl... this girl was a total b***h! How could she say that about someone, another living, breathing human being? So, sure, the hobos were smelly - Vanadis could testify to that - but that wasn't any reason to go about treating them like dirt! Or even worse, in this girl's case.

And frankly, her words were just pissing the red-head off. There was a breaking point for everyone, and as it turned out, callous behaviour towards people who couldn't even defend themselves was Vanadis' breaking point.

Not even bothering to reply to the other girl, she leapt forward, charging in with her fist first which was, admittedly, a bad plan. She had horrible punches and she'd probably have been better off going in with a kick, but Vanadis wasn't even thinking at this point, she just needed to shut that horrible person up before she said anything even more horrible.

Lesath had gotten used to a level of normalcy when it came to fighting with senshis and pages and all of those goody two shoes order folks. There was always some banter where she tried to rile them up, then finally she would go and start the fighting because they were too weak to do so. This though. This was a new twist on things.

The blonde senshi didn’t have the time or the instinct to block the punch, and it collided with her cheek…but it wasn’t a very good punch, so for that she was good at least…but damn.

She could just hear Jett laughing at her if he was here. Letting some weakling beat her up? Some basic senshi punch her and land the punch? Oh hell no. “You little b***h. I didn’t even attack you. Yet. But, you can be damn sure I’m going to now.”

She grinned, balling her own hand into a fist. “You little tramp of a senshi. I’ll teach you not to hit people. Especially not people who are stronger than you.” The super senshi threw her own punch, though, her anger was making her sloppy, that much was sure.

"Wha- tramp?!" Vanadis stared, aghast. "What's that even got to do with anything? You've got nothing to judge my trampiness on, so t-that's just uncalled for!" b***h she could live with - she had, after all, just totally attacked the other senshi with very little actual provocation, but tramp? Seriously, she'd only ever had one boyfriend in her entire life and they'd never even gotten farther than making out! That totally did not make her a tramp, OK!

Too distracted by the Dark Mirror senshi's taunting words, the red-head completely forgot to dodge the return attack and got a nice punch to her collarbone in return. Reeling back a bit, she stared at the other girl for a second, a bit stunned. And then her grimace of surprise turned to a (slightly underwhelming) snarl and she threw herself back at the other senshi, trying to land a kick on her somewhere. "You, you, you mean person!"

At least the girl was flustered. That fit in with the normal fighting game. Lesath jumped backwards as the foot made its way towards her and yelped as the tip of the senshi’s toe knocked into her knee. This was getting them nowhere. Nowhere at all. “You dumb little girl. You have no business fighting me. None at all!” Lesath cracked her knuckles then reached out, grabbing one of Vanadis’s long pigtails and giving a sharp tug.

“You’re an idiot to think you can take me, you know. A complete and total idiot. A childish idiot. Why on earth would the white moon even invite someone as weak as you to join their ranks?” She gave another sharp tug. “Someone as worthless as you too!”

Lesath tugged the hair forward and then released it, grinning. Stupid girl. Stupid child.

Basic senshis like that shouldn’t go anywhere without their mothers. It was just sad and stupid. She was a sad little baby senshi that was going to get her a** kicked. And nobody was going to be around to stop it.

Vanadis roared, "I bet I'm older than you are, Barbie doll!" Her hands flailed about, trying to catch hold of the other senshi and make her let go of the red-head's hair. It didn't work though, and the blonde girl kept talking - and tugging.

Eventually she let go though, and Vanadis jumped back, angrily panting for breath and trying to make sure all her hair was still there. It was, but her scalp was hurting something awful. And she was pretty sure that if her power had been to murder people with her eyes, the other senshi would be dead by now. Or at least unconscious.

Unfortunately, she wasn't. "I, I'll have you know that the Dark Mirror Court invited me to join them too!" Her voice was triumphant, even though it was fudging the truth a bit. Honestly Remarque had just sort of vaguely hinted that she could join them, but whatever. "So I g-guess I'm not all that useless; then again, who knows h-how bad their standards are." She snarled again, putting as much venom into her words as meek little Vanadis could, "After all, they let you join."

Lesath raised a brow when the senshi mentioned the Dark Mirror Court giving her an invite and then laughed. “Like they would really invite you. Like we would ever want you on our team. No, you’ve just made the ‘do not convert’ list, sweetheart. I’m going to make sure you get the cold shoulder from my court. And do you know what that means? It means we don’t want you, and when we don’t want you, that means we would rather you just be dead. So keep that in mind the next time you run into one of my fellow DMC’ers, all right?”

She smirked, then the expression fell and a very angry one took its place. “How dare you say something like that. They didn’t ‘let’ me join. I was chosen to become who I am. Chosen out of others. They hand picked me, Ares wanted me to join her ranks!” It was almost the truth. She was chosen…but she was dead at the time.

Unneeded information.

Vanadis made a rather childish face at the blonde senshi. "As if! You're j-just a foot soldier like me, there's no way you have that much influence! You think just because you talk big people actually listen to you?" Anyway, it wasn't exactly like the Dark Mirror senshi had been nice to her before this even began - except for Remarque, but she was starting to learn that he was a rarity on both sides of the war - so it didn't really matter if the blonde went and told her faction to attack on sight because, uh, they were already doing that.

The smirk felt rather unfamiliar on her face, but now Vanadis was pretty sure she was winning this. Well. Maybe. Mostly she was just hoping because she wasn't quite sure what'd happen if she stopped talking and just plain fought with the other girl, but she was pretty sure it'd be even worse than what was currently going on. "Must've been s-some really slim pickings, then. Who did you manage to beat, an old lady and a kid in a coma?" Oh gods she was going straight to hell for this conversation, she was sure of it.

Hoping that her words had distracted the other girl long enough for her to get an attack in, Vanadis charged forward, raising her arm to give the other senshi a punch straight in the face. Only, well, that was a bit overboard even for her current mood, and the red-head ended up regretting her punch just before her hand collided - and the end result was that the punch accidentally became a slap. That actually connected.

Oh. Wow. Vanadis looked a bit stunned.

Lesath stared, feeling the hand connect with her cheek. It seemed like all of the insults that Vanadis had just said were null and void…the b***h had just slapped her. Slapped her…

Really. Oh HELL no. Lesath couldn’t deal with this. She really didn’t want to deal with it. She drew her hand back and punched the senshi as hard as she could in the face. She just wanted to cause pain for once in her life.

The punch was perfectly executed, if she did say so herself. Perfectly executed…
And it connected like a real punch should, hitting the girl right in her eye. Oh. Well…well…that was unexpected…

Lesath stumbled back and shok her head. “What…the hell…” She wouldn’t apologize, she wasn’t going to admit she was wrong…but she might have been wrong for doing that…to be honest…

She drew in a breath and then scoffed. “That should teach you not to mess with the Dark Mirror Court, you stupid senshi.” The blonde looked away, not wanting to look at what she had done, then hurried up, throwing herself into the nearest mirror. She didn’t want to deal with anything else tonight. She hadn’t really meant to hurt anyone. Not really. It was all a game. A dance of sorts. Even if she didn’t like the senshi, she wasn’t about lasting damage.

She hoped that it wouldn’t be too lasting.

Vanadis reeled, staring at the other senshi with a shocked expression before falling back and landing neatly on her bum. Her left eye and the area around it was hurting like a b***h, and the red-head didn't even want to try opening it, because she was pretty darn sure that'd just make things worse. Instead she watched with one eye as the blonde Dark Mirror senshi looked just as shocked as she herself felt, left a few last words and quickly departed the scene.

Vanadis blinked. This was... not how she'd expected things to go. If she'd actually been thinking enough to expect anything of this fight, that was. Even though the other senshi had definitely been a horridly mean person, the red-head hadn't actually, well, expected her to fight seriously. After all, until then the fight had been more of a grappling thing, serious but not exactly 'doing-actual-and-lasting-damage-to-your-opponent'-serious.

But she was pretty sure that she was quickly developing a black eye here, and that was a bit more serious than hair-tugging. And also a lot harder to hide in her civilian form.

She probably ought to get up by now, Vanadis distantly thought. Get going. Yeah, that sounded like a good plan. Gotta keep moving before any other Chaos agents found her.
