Eternal Sailor Chaonis was feeling things. And no matter what those feelings were, in the end, they just made him want to hit things. It was a very basic instinct, really. It was something he liked to do, and his way of relaxing when he was too pent up. So whether he was in a good mood or a bad one, he wanted to fight.

Tonight, it was a strange mixture of the two. He was feeling good about himself, confident, suave as hell. But he was conflicted as well.

Relationships were beyond him. Why couldn't everything just exist moment to moment? He loved the way he interacted with most people in the moment, and how they didn't have to cross his mind unless he wanted them to later. But this whole... thinking about someone when he didn't want to thing.

That was frustrating.

He was on the hunt tonight. He was going to find any damn agent of chaos and take out some aggression. Solve his problems through violence, or at least try again to because it had not actually worked very well last time.

Leaping over a low roof to a slightly higher one, he grabbed onto the edge of the railing and hauled himself up. He was feeling strong and reckless, which generally did not go together very well. At least, not for anyone who came across him. At the moment, he was the epitome of his sphere, and he was looking to share what he could do.

Super Sailor Lesath wasn’t in any mood to go out tonight. She hadn’t been in the mood to go patrolling, but she had some work to do for school, and when she thought about sitting in front of her laptop getting that work done, she felt rather ill. So, here she was, climbing out of a mirror, as though she had good sense. She wasn’t in the mood to do any actual work tonight, but she figured she could go take a look at her favorite jewelry store…pick out the next piece of jewelry that Jett could buy her the next time he screwed up.

She laughed, shaking her head not bothering to feel around her for any sort of other auras. Clearly if she wasn’t looking for a fight, nobody else would either. It was a school night. Didn’t everyone else have homework?

The blonde walked over to the boutique window and pressed her nose against it, trying to look into the dimly lit shop, hoping to see something beautiful that she could start dreaming about now that she had her other necklace. Maybe there would be a bracelet that she could ask for…and then she could have a whole set…

The Eternal scout felt the energy of a Dark Mirror senshi nearby. It made him tense, immediately. Most of his complicated feelings were tied to one Dark senshi in particular, though he was almost immediately certain that this energy signature, though about the same strength, was not her.

He moved toward it on instinct, anyway.

What instinct it was, though, was hard to say. Did he want to make sure it wasn't Navi, wanted to see her and talk to her if it was? Or did he just want to punch whoever it did belong to in the face and do his damn job like he was supposed to?

It was probably both at once.

He got closer and saw her, though getting closer would mean she'd be able to feel him, too. He didn't care. It rarely mattered if they got a little bit of a heads up that he was there. He didn't need the element of surprise.

He moved toward her, anger rising in him when he saw it was not Navi, just as he suspected. He clenched his fists tightly and grinned wickedly as he approached. Whatever she was doing, this girl was going to regret coming out on Danger's streets.

"Little late for window shopping, don't you think?"

It was really rare that Lesath was so very much off her guard. She hadn’t really had reason to have to be on it recently, things had been coming to her so easily, besides, she was absolutely distracted—there was a beautiful bracelet in the window, and Lesath desperately wanted to see the price…maybe she could convince Jett to buy it for her now…just as an ‘I love you’ gift or something. She grinned, laughing to herself and shaking her head.

Like he would ever really do that.

She stiffened when she heard a voice and turned, clearly startled. An eternal senshi had managed to sneak up on her…how had that even happened…? A cold child crept up the super senshi’s spine when she saw the look on Chanois’s face. That…that wasn’t a good look. That wasn’t a good look at all.

He looked like he was ready to rip out her throat…or something.

She took a step backwards, trying to cling to any semblance of calm that she could, and moved right to the snarky ways that she normally used. “It’s never too late for a girl to look at jewelry. Is that why you’re here? Did you screw up with your girlfriend and now you’re trying to make up for it with jewels?”

The blonde took another step backwards. “It works. You know.”

Chaonis stared at her as if she had just insulted him in a private and embarrassing way. He growled and wanted to do nothing but punch her in the face.

And, really, he had no reason to hold back on that impulse.

Still, he moved toward her slowly, his hands gripped into tight fists as he forced his grin to remain on his generally cocky, self aware face. He looked angry, though, and it made the grin more of a snarl than anything else.

"I never mess up," he grunted, "but you have. You made a bad mistake, coming out here tonight."

Not that she could have known she would run into an Eternal senshi with Dark Senshi issues, but he could still consider it a mistake on her part regardless. She was the one to blame here, and he was going to seize the opportunity to capitalize on her mistake.

This was what he was meant to do when he came across Chaos. Beat the hell out of it. Not talk to it and almost be friends with it. Certainly not... whatever he had with Navi. No, this was simple. He needed simple right now.

There was real fear in Lesath’s blood now. Real fear and she didn’t like the feeling one bit. Not that she really liked the eternal senshis that she had fought before…even if it had only been one or two of them…none of them had ever inspired such a feeling in her before.

The girl backed up, wishing there was a mirror close by, but the only one was in back of Chaonis, and she couldn’t see herself getting past him right this second…maybe when—if he decided to run at her…but not right now.

She figured she should start fighting, or bluffing, or anything…but all she could really find herself doing was backing up, shuffling away from the mirror, away from her safety net. And with that, away from any real help. “I haven’t done anything but look at some jewelry. How is that even a crime?”

The words tumbled from her lips before she could stop them, they were so goddamn cocky and full of a confidence that she really wasn’t feeling. And this guy didn’t look like he wanted to be mocked right now. No, that might have been her biggest mistake. Opening her big mouth.

Chaonis watched her, seeing her backing up. The fear on her face did nothing to calm him, it just made him more angry. More confused. He had made someone else feel that kind of fear, and he'd hurt her for it. It wasn't fair, and it wasn't right, but he couldn't keep letting his emotions get in the way of his job as he knew it.

Fight Chaos. All Chaos. Dark Senshi and the Negaverse alike.

He sneered and he charged at her.

All this talking and thinking was not going very well here. He was not the kind of guy that could think things through and come to reasonable conclusions. Everything just got even more jumbled and he hated, loathed, getting personally or emotionally invested in things. It made him feel vulnerable, when all he wanted was to feel strong.

So clearly attacking a scared, lower rank Dark senshi was the way to go about that.

He made to tackle her, swinging his fist low for her stomach.

Lesath didn’t want this. She didn’t want to get hurt, she didn’t want to get hit! Was this punishment for what had happened to that other senshi? The one she had socked in the eye? Well, how could this guy have even known about that? It had happened…what, last night?

She let out a rather terrified squeak, the sound most unlike her and flung herself backwards, falling hard on her a**.

“Is…is this about your little girlfriend or something?” The blonde couldn’t imagine any other reason than that. He must be avenging that red haired pigtailed senshi or something. Oh jeeze. Why did she have to hit the girl so hard?

“B-because if it is, I’m really sorry I called her a tramp, and really sorry I hit her so hard…I didn’t mean to hit her that hard, honest…” This guy seemed like he would honestly kill her if he managed to get his hands on her…and now Lesath was on the ground…not a very good place to be.

Chaonis very nearly socked her in the face for her comment about his 'girlfriend'. His mind instantly flared to life with thoughts of the Dark Senshi all talking about what was his private affair. Affair, indeed. But it was none of their business what he and Navi were doing and if she was telling them, laughing about it behind his back, he was going to be pissed.

But then, why would another Dark Senshi attack one of their own?

True enough, it was not a great thing for them to be doing, but there had to be some manner of loyalty among them, right? They were supposed to be a Court, and he did not think in-fighting was something that was tolerated. but then, he really had no idea how it worked. Maybe that was how they solved all their problems. So what, this Dark Senshi had hit Navi?

It was completely unfair and he was leading a double standard, but Chaonis felt anger rise in his chest. No one could hit her, least of all another Chaos fool. Sure, he had attacked Navi himself and left a bruise on her jaw, but that was before... that was a part of it. No one could understand what they were going through, the rules they played by.

Interfering, though, was not allowed.

"You b***h!" He grabbed her hand, which was very small compared to his, and wrenched it backwards against the natural bend of her wrist. "Is this the hand you use to punch people? Try doing it now! Let's see how you like it, huh?"
PostPosted: Mon Sep 10, 2012 6:36 pm

Lesath yelped again, pain flaring up in her wrist. That was not a good angle for it to be bending…She had tried to apologize! She didn’t like to apologize for anything…Maybe she could just talk her way out of this…like she talked her way out of everything, yeah?

Her mind was racing, trying to find something to say, some manor of words to cling to, but nothing seemed to want to spring to her tongue. “She…She hit me first! She ran at me because I was talking—“ She hiccupped, startled to find that her face was slowly dampening with tears. The ******** was she doing crying? And when did that even start?

“I was talking about clearing out the h-hobos from the park…” The blonde broke off, panting. Damn that was starting to hurt like hell. Stop groveling, you ninny. “Get the ******** off of me you ******** psychopathic a*****e! The ******** b***h had it coming, okay? She shouldn’t have gotten in my way!”

Well. She had tried to be nice…but, tempers are hard to keep in check.

Chaonis felt the color drain from his face, and the wave of relief that washed over him. He was wrong, she had no idea about him and Navi. She was talking about something else, some fight. Probably with a Senshi or a Knight, and that was why she was teasing him.

About the girlfriend thing.

He grabbed her fuku and slammed her down against the pavement, hoping to make her hit her head on the floor as he pushed himself up and away from her. He kicked her hard in the side, not having any pity for her or her tears.

He tried to tell himself he wasn't a bad guy, but who was he fooling? He was going to always be a thug, no matter how noble the cause he fought for was, no matter how many people he somehow tricked into being his friends. He was still just a kid with a bad attitude, who just wanted to cause trouble.

And that was alright with him, in the end.

"You stay away from the White Moon," he growled, pointing down at her, "or I'll break you completely. You hear me? You mess with one of mine, and I will come after you. All of you."
PostPosted: Mon Sep 10, 2012 6:53 pm

Lesath cried out, her head smacking into the pavement rather harder than she wanted it to. She was dazed for a good moment, her wrist hanging limply beside her. She let out another cry when he kicked her, but his words were lost on her, at least for now.

He said something about all of you. All of you what? She wanted to get out of there. Wanted to go home, wanted to just…
Just run. And run. And get something for her wrist. And then maybe run some more.
When she finally got some vision back, she pushed herself up and rolled her eyes at him. “Sure. Whatever the ******** you say, big shot. Now leave me the hell alone.” Not a wise move, but maybe he was done, maybe he had had his fun now, and would just leave.

Or maybe he was like a bear and she should have played dead. That might have been much more beneficial…

Chaonis very nearly went back to her, but he stopped himself just short. If he went too far there was no coming back from it. He growled at the girl, then turned his back to her and left her on the floor.

"If I see you again, if I hear you causing trouble, I won't be so nice next time."

He left after that, walking off slowly as his anger stewed. He was furious, with himself, with her, with everything. [He wanted to go and find something else to punch, or go back and take out the rest of his frustrations on Lesath, but there was no telling how far he would go if he let himself turn back there.

He just needed to get away, from everything. There were only a few times, now, when things felt simple. Fighting and when he just refused to think. When he was with Navi, but that made no sense, because that was the source of all his troubled emotions. He stalked off, climbing up the side of a building and leaping away.

Lesath remained on the ground for a few more minutes, trembling and trying to get herself together. Finally she swallowed and stood up shakily, making her way to the mirror and slipping in to it.

There was only one place to go right now. Only one place she wanted to go. One person she wanted to see, and she hoped that he was home.

Tonight had been a very, very terribly awful night.
