Life was quiet in the jungle for the most part. Especially now that Crue hadn't shown his face again. She was thankful for that. She wasn't going to be able to hold Azrael back twice.. and quite frankly she was surprised he had spared the demon's life at her request. She wasn't aware she had had so much control over him. Though who was she kidding? She had little control over her brute of a mate. But she still loved him. It was odd, to fall for your captor.. But she had. She wasn't sure why she had, but that didn't matter.

She sat near the waterfall, watching the rushing waters cascade off the steep cliff. It was tall, and it would take a day's journey in order to reach the top. But she had no intentions of reaching the top. She was quite happy at the base of it, watching the waters final resting place. She could see the tiny fish under it's surface, and she wondered if those fish actually fell from the waterfall, or if they had originated in the little river that the waterfall linked with. All sorts of colors zipped under the surface, and she found herself smiling. They were like butterflies of the water. Beautiful, fast, and graceful. She loved looking at nature. Perhaps that's why she enjoyed the forest now that she had lost the fear of it.

Her daughter was older now, a fine adult who stood in the waters at the moment. She was beautiful, her pelt a stark contrast to the so blue water. Her eyes though.. Her eyes almost matched. Channah bore Azrael's eyes deep in her skull. Channah was the perfect blend between them, though she bore her mother's kindness.

"Careful Channah. I would prefer you not scare the fishes too much. I enjoy watching them." She said, casting her amber gaze at her daughter. Channah was enjoying the childlike things in life. Busy pouncing and splashing in the water as if she were not but a cub. It had been a long while since she had been a cub, but she had always carried that playful side. She was thankful for that.

"I'm not trying to scare them, momma. But they certainly are wimps." She said, watching them dart from her paws. Such vain little things, fish were. Everything was always about them. She couldn't be just playing in the water.. no.. They thought she was after their lives. It was strange, the way fish thought.

"Well, be that as it may. I still enjoy watching them. You are much bigger than they are. Think of them." She said wtih a chuckle, shaking her head. Her daughter may have been kind, but she had that fire in her that her father carried.

Channah hated how much her momma worried. She knew that behind that smile, and kind word, she worried terribly for her babies. Even though they weren't quite babies anymore, even father was terribly over protective of her. But then again, they were that way to her siblings too. She knew it came from them loving them that much, but it could be a bit suffocating.

"Yes momma.." She said, but continued pouncing at the shapes in the water. Okay, so they had a reason to be running, but she wasn't trying to kill them.. She was just playing a little.. Right?

She wondered briefly where father had went. She knew that he was normally patrolling the jungle, when he wasn't home. But she always wondered if he went out of the jungle ever. Not that she didn't -like- the jungle, but there was more out there right?

"Channah dear, why don't you come sit with me." Andais requested, patting the ground next to her with her paw. She was looking at a flower next to her, he muzzle leaning down so she could smell it a little.

The sound of Channah sighing, and moving from the waters, brought her muzzle back up where she looked at her. Such a good girl she had, or at least, she liked to think so.

"Momma where did father go today?" She asked, plopping down next to her mother. She chuckled, and shook the water from her body. She turned to look at her mother and saw her backed away, dripping.

Andais had not been expecting the water, and she didn't much like water either. She froze once she backed away, a face of irritation on her features.
"Channah, that was not funny at all.." She groaned, and then watched as her daughter burst into hysterics.

"Ha ha ha, very funny. I'll get you back, little missy. Just you wait." She shook the water off of her, before lunging playfully at her daughter.

They rolled around for a few minutes, both trying to top the other before Channah finally jumped away. She was still laughing, and she collapsed to the ground, the wrestling finally over. Andais stood tall, a grin on her face.

"Okay fine. You win." Channah said in between laughs. She stood, once she had composed herself. She wondered where her brothers had gotten off to. They always did such interesting things, it seemed. They certainly hated having a follower, but she didn't much care.

"I'll go find your father. Stay here please." Andais said. It sounded a request, but Channah knew that it really was a command. Mother wasn't really forceful, but Anna respected her enough to listen. Besides, fathers temper was something Channah didn't want to have to deal with if she could help it. And not listening to mother was the first way to get on his bad side.

Channah smiled, nodding a little. "Okay. I'll keep playing with the fish." She said, turning to go back towards the water. She hoped that one of her brothers would be by soon.. but until then, she would just keep herself entertained.
