This fountain hasn't worked for centuries. Maybe something's wrong with the plumbing? Whatever's wrong with it, it's been forgotten. Not many students like to wander around it. It gives off an abandon feeling, making others uncomfortable.

Amy finally went back to her senses, when she bumped into an old fountain. She immediately looked up, noticing that it doesn't work anymore. It felt lonely, and forgotten, just like she feels. She sighed, and stared at her bag. Opening it up, and searching for her locket, she found it buried in a pile of books. She picked it up gently, with care, and threw the bag aside. It was an old locket, with elegant and intricate designs, shining in the sunlight. Amy stared at it intently, and before she knew it, she was crying. "Mother.. If you are here somewhere.. What will I do?" she muttered. Amy opened the locket with difficulty. There used to be a picture in the locket, but then it was ripped out by someone that didn't want Amy to know her birthparents. Gripping the locket, she held it close to her chest. "Mother.."

It had been a long night for Kai. He didn't even have a dorm yet and had to rent a hotel room for the night before coming to school today. "Whhhhy..." He groaned, walking with his hands in his pockets. He wasn't carrying a backpack, but didn't need to. He didn't think that he had to carry books to school and back, why if you could just leave it at home? The light from the sun bothered him, not because he was a vampire or something but because he had been asleep only ten minutes ago. Now he was walking to this new school, hoping to find some sort of joy to start his day.

It was then that Kai heard someone talking to themselves, it made him stop and look over to where a fountain was found. Sitting on it was a girl, who looked to be the one that was crazy enough to talk when no one was listening. He could just continue to walk, or he could go over and see if anything was wrong. "Forget it." Kai mumbled and started to walk again, but stopped when he heard the word, "Mother.". He rolled his eyes and turned around, heading back in the direction of the girl. When he reached her, his facial expression was blank and he didn't know what to say. "...You do know you're talking to yourself...correct?"

Amy looked up, and dropped her locket from her hands. She wiped her tears hastily, and took a closer look. It was a man that had fiery red hair, and somehow, had a rebellious aura around him. "Well, it's obvious, maybe. Awkward encounter, no?" she answered, fighting back tears. Noticing that her locket was gone, she looked around with slight panic. When she found it near the man's feet, she reached for it, grabbing it with her small hands. "..You are?" she asked him, not looking at him directly. Instead, Amy was still staring at the locket, but quickly threw it inside her bag. She shook her head, and picked up her bag from the floor. "I'm Amy," she said, introducing herself, forcing a smile.

Amy would have talked more, but she felt too weak to start a decent conversation. Well, it was probably because she was crying a minute ago. She was at least, trying to regain her composure, but it was difficult.. When was it when she last cried? Maybe when she was around eight years old when her adoptive parents threw away her favourite stuffed animal. It was a gift from her uncle; he gave her a black kitten plush that had a pink bow around its neck. Now that she thought about it, it was pretty funny; stuffed animals are very easy to get. But that wasn't important right now. Forgetting the thought, Amy looked up at Kai with slight curiosity. "So.. it'd be n-nice to tell me your name."

Kai didn't buy the way Amy was acting. Why was she trying so hard to cover up the fact that she was just crying? It beat him, and frankly he didn't exactly care to know. Giving a big sigh he shrugged his shoulders, "I'm Kai." He added nothing more to his intro then that, not seeing a need to. He had caught a glimpse of the necklace she had in her hand moments ago, but why'd she have to go and hide it all of a sudden. He must have been intruding on some secret time she had to herself, weirdo. He chuckled to himself at the thought, "You go to the school right? I don't think this is the best time to be taking care of personal problems." Kai hated school just as much as the last person, but he knew that to he had to get through it.

He turned and walked away from Amy, pretending to ignore her for a few steps. Then, while still walking, he turned his head to look over his shoulder, "You coming or what?" He asked, not stopping to wait for an answer. She could either follow or stay here by herself.

Amy, not answering his question, followed him, her bag in her hand. She looked back, taking one last, long look at the fountain. She wondered if it still can work, or it would remain broken. Shrugging at the thought, she looked away, and gave Kai a suspicious expression. "Do you even know where you're going? I certainly hope so.." Amy muttered. She didn't even know where what class she had to go to! Well, she was new, after all..

Leo sighed as he walked around the campus, his guitar case strapped to his back as he looked around, looking for a spot to set it down since carrying the case for a long time made it tiring for him even though he was one of the strong types. It was the first day of school, and with that said, you could understand the difficulty. "Hm. Not too bad." Leo inquired as he came upon a large area, with an empty fountain sitting right in the middle of it. There it wasn't too sunny, there was some blotches of shade keeping the fountain from being too heated. There, there were some flowers growing to add to the scenery, to add to the mystery of the old fountain which Leo found so interesting as he stepped down the stairs to walk toward it, being careful with each time he put one of his feet forward. Ah, yes, this place could end up being leo's hiding place. The place he was in seemed so old, so mystified, almost heavenly since silence there seemed to be a usual. No one would bother him as he played. No one would give him hollow praises or hollow criticisms, there he would be alone. Leo looked around with his brown / chestnut eyes eyes as a breeze blew by, making his green hair fly over his face. Ah, the wind felt so good that day, it tried to blow all of his memories away as Leo found himself taking the last step, him and the shadow he cast getting closer and closer to the center. "Time is quite kind to you isn't it?" he spoke, directing it to the old fountain that he was now standing in front of, looking down at the green, murky water, "Even though your water has faded and lost its color, there are many flowers that fall upon you to adorn it, what a wonder." Leo sat himself down and tried to touch it, with only a breeze blowing afterward, a small pink flower standing in the way that he scooped up with his hands, some of the water trailing down his fingers and back unto the fountain.

"You're a strange blossom." Leo smirked as he looked at the flower which soon sat in the palm of his hand as water slipped through his fingers. He was now bringing his hand over in front of him, since most of the water had fallen, although he kept it away from his bag which was sitting behind his legs and his case which was sitting next to his backpack. Leonard sat in one of the spots filled with blotchy shade, sometimes the sun moving towards him and sometimes not. A breeze would pass by, and his bangs would sometimes get in the way, but his glasses kept it from annoying him, a clear wall that blocked things out as well as making things appear clearer to him, a strange contradicted mechanism. "You would rather let yourself float on murky water rather than being up with your sisters up on the trees?" he inquired, looking up at the vines that grew around the tall pillars that surrounded the fountain, his free hand covering his forehead and placed over his eyes just so he could see it clearly. Leo was sitting on the bench with his elbows touching his knees as he was hunched back, his attention now going back to the flower, who slowly moved in his hand as another breeze blew by. He wore the usual outfit, consisting of black baggy jeans, a long sleeved white top under a brown baggy sweater, and gray sneakers that just tied up the entire thing. It was what Leo had put on after just choosing random things in the dark. He didn't see any occasion coming to wear anything fancy. Sure the first impression counted and what you wore had its own role, but Leo believed in the work is where his impression would lie, and that was all.

"Then again, I'm wasting my time." he then stated as Leo threw the flower back behind him to the water, wiping his hands with a cloth that he pulled out of his backpack, putting it back afterward after he folded it carefully. The green haired boy had been examining that little delicate plant for a while, his brown eyes taking a note of its shape, color, and age, finally concluding that the breeze probably cut it off. Leo was now sitting on the fountain, taking out the case from behind his legs as he indulged in the scenery of the old fountain, closing his eyes for a moment to hear the birds sing as he tilted his head up to the sky, his hands on the edge after placing the guitar case in his lap, just to keep himself in balance. He enjoyed these times when everything was just right. It was morning, the sun was warm and the breeze made it cool. His guitar was ready on his lap, unopened as he thought of the song, Leo looking back down as he pulled his sleeve down, just to check the time before school started. Well, I guess everything was close enough to perfect. School just had to come to keep him from his guitar, which was fine, everything has its limits, Leo knew. After he checked, he also knew that he had some time, but not a lot, maybe enough for at least 3 songs before he had to drop this baby off to the music room. And so, Leo would take in every moment that he was given with his instrument.

Then it was finally time. Leo had taken the guitar off from its case, and it was now resting properly under his arm and on his lap, his fingers still on the tuners, making the final adjustments as he plucked the strings one by one, making sure that they all played the beautiful memory they were supposed to. No one would want a high sound when it was supposed to be low, and no one wanted the opposite of that. This was the reason why he loved these kinds of instruments, they resembled Leo, someone so out of tune at times and someone so in tune that it is almost hard to believe how that is. Sure, that can go for anyone, but it was just how Leo thought. Oh how he could stay here forever with the breeze slowly cooling down his nerves. Leo had his eyes closed and was now fully immersed in the sound of his guitar, his foot tapping to a beat that was playing in his head which was also making sure that his case was not being stepped on. The sound was extremely beautiful that day, it was as if the wind played a role and the scenery as well. Or, maybe it was just Leo in a good mood . . . ?

And so when things were perfect and the guitar was finely tuned, Leo then started plucking the strings to a song that he practiced over the summer, a song that kept him from going insane with all the things he had to do and all the experiences and hardships that he was faced with. It was a song that was based off of his mother's happy song whenever she was alone in the house with Leo, a song that played over and over in his head that he wanted to convey. A song that couldn't escape him, a song that he didn't want to escape from after the incident. Yes, it took a while to figure out the certain notes that would put it all together, it took a while of frustrated pondering over his desk and paper balls scattered all over the floor having wrong notes that could have turned into another melody. Sure it could have turned into something else that was beautiful, but he wanted that tune only, and would give up anything else to keep it in his mind and immortalized in paper. Didn't Shakespeare do the same thing he knew? Leo was doing that now as the notes fluttered about the serene place, his foot stopping after a while since the beat was already clear in his mind.

Ah yes, he could remember the laughter, Leo could remember the smell of his mother whom he smiled at whenever he came home from school. She was so beautiful, bearing the same green hair as him as well as emerald green eyes that wore a mask of happiness for his son, the one whom she couldn't reveal her secret to, the secret about his dad abusing her and forcefully raping her whenever he wanted to. Sometimes he realized that back then she almost wanted to cry at times when she was with him, and that's how Leo knew he loved her, especially when he hummed this tune. He knew that she could have run away, but she didn't, it was all because of him. But, it was also all because of him that she passed, and at times when he played this song, Leo would blame himself. especially when his fingers would play the chorus, the memories flooding out of his mind each time the plucked even one string and one note of it. Sure, he used to cry, but now, it was routine to play this song each morning. Leo didn't want to play it at the dorm where he would probably be yelled at for being so loud. He wanted to play the song somewhere where he can honor her, a place where she can hear it from, a serene place that mirrored her personality.

It was called: Your Heaven since his mother's Heaven was this song which he missed coming from her lips.
