In this thread I will be detailing the process of Profile Approval and how it will be changed from in the past. From now on Profile Approval will go through three main phases. Not all of which you will reach. I will be detailing each.

Phase 1: Stats, Kido and Character.

When approving your character for the first time we will look only to see that your distribution of stats is correct, that you have the correct number and rank of Kido and that your Character is sensible.

To be precise what this means is that your stat points add up to a total of 30, that you have Hado 1-20, Bakudo 1-20, Chiyudo 1-10 and have selected three or less higher level Kido. Powers in exchange for Kido are not usually permitted.

When coming to a sensible character this means that you have put some effort into justifying your character on the whole. We do not mind if your character looks unusual, has a joking personality or has a funny name. Only that you have put effort into designing a three dimensional character even if you have not necessarily achieved it. To do this use the past of your character to good effect.

Phase 2: Shikai Approval.

Approval of the Shikai works on a process like so.

When looking at the Shikai we are primarily looking for a weakness in your abilities. A method by which your defeat is all but certain if abused. This can be as simple as an inability to fight enemies as long range or a timer on the use of abilities.

Second we look for the fact your Zanpakto does not provide what we'll call 'absolute dominance of a situation'. What this means is Zanpakto with thinly spread abilities to do virtually everything with a certain set of powers or allowing you to dip in and out of combat with no risk factor.

For example we'll use a theoretical fire Zanpakto. If your Zanpakto allowed you to shoot fire at people, coat the blade in fire, melt open locks with the fire, create a shield with the fire, toast your bread with the fire, fly with wings of fire, create torrents of hot air destabilising the flight of others and skate around on a trail of fire then it would be hard to find a situation in which the user was in peril.

When describing your abilities therefore try and make sure there are things you cannot do with the ability of the Shikai. Even just one or two things that are mentioned to be outside the range of the weapon's abilities is enough.

Phase 3: Bankai Approval.

Bankai as one would expect is much the same as Shikai. It will be approved when attained. However unlike with Shikai we will be looking to make sure that Bankai is amplified in all senses. Power and risk.

Bankai is judged largely on the same terms as Shikai however if a crew member feels it needs justification for its' power or more explanation as to why it is very effective then they may ask for greater detail.

A Bankai is effectively the trump card of a Shinigami and so often it will be a last resort. However to not be afraid of using it if you have one. Enemies that require its' use are not impossible.
