(She is a rogue, I've not had her recerted.) Everything had gone wrong after she left her birth-pride. The male had been such a smooth talker, that she believed he'd loved her. And the other lionesses with her. He had gone out of his way to find a pride where they would all be protected at the cost of maybe loosing him. Kakra-maibe had learned early on what a dismal and utter failure at hunting she was. She hadn't improved much with all the practicing she'd done.
Then on top of that, the pride had slowly fallen apart. Members drifting away in small groups or singlely. With no one there to care for and feed her, she too had eventually drifted away alone. Life as a rogue had been even harder for her. She was not wise to the ways of others. In the pride, if she'd been unable to catch something herself another would have provided. Alone, she'd grown taunt with her ribs showing and hunger knawing at the back of her belly.
Desperate the lioness had settled on the first pride she encountered that looked nice. The Pridelands. Kakra had come before them to plead for her life. Much to her surprise they had not turned away her scruffy, starving self. They had provided food and agreed to let her join. Now, while she was still a bit thin, things were not as desperate. The lioness had hopes that perhaps she would have a future here. Now she was standing at a spot that allowed her to over look the main den area. Simply watching the other lions.

( She's since grown, but I don't have her updated cert yet. Just pretend she's grown xD )
Izzy sighed with contentedness as she lay out in the sun, upon her favorite rock in the pride. It was favorite partially because it was so secluded, and partially because when the sun hit it just right .... oh it was heaven!
Now just happened to be one of those perfect moments, the sun was nearing its end. While the moon prepared to makes its debut, her rock was always so warm and comforting right about now, with just the right amount of heat. Nothing could top how comfortable it was, no matter how hard they tried. Stretching out upon her rock, Izzy paced circles around the center, trying to find the perfect spot for a rest.
Yes! This was it! Slightly off to the left, with a slight bump in the back. A girl could get used to this, and she so had, without any missteps along the way. Now she had no idea what she would do without her rock, probably mourn its loss for the rest of her days.
But she didn't have to worry with that right now, her rock was here and so was she. And that was it, she was alone. And that was just the way she liked it.

Kakra gave a sigh at her thoughts. She should just stop thinking about it, and move on with her life. When she looked up again it surprised her to find she wasn't alone. A nearly adult female was nearby making herself at home on a rock. Baffled she watched the dark female curl up on the rock.
Her company looked so comfortable over there. Kakra looked wistfully as lioness and rock. Though she did wonder why the girl prefered a rock to soft ground. Slowly she walked over. Buying time to think of how to introduce herself. Then her paw came to rest on the rock and she blinked, looking down.
"It's warm!" Perhaps not the most elegant opening. "Pardon me, I hope you don't mind company."

Poor Izzy nearly jumped out of her skin at the lioness' deduction. Having been so involved in her own relaxation, she'd obviously let her guard down a little too much. She scowled to herself, again preaching the importance of maintaining a good sense of your surroundings. As she became able to maintain her composure she rolled over once more, this time lying on her back and staring up at the new lioness from upside down. "Er ... yeah ... its warm ..." Obviously not her most elegant greeting either, but then she was the one who'd been scared senseless here! Focusing her attention on the female's stance, she deducted that there was no true immediate threat in allowing her to stay. Even if it wasn't her preferred method of spending the afternoon. "Nah, here grab a spot! The sun is in just the right spot for your visit!" She smiled, squishing herself over to one side of the rock and motioning for the female to join her. "I"m Ndizi'Nyara - but my sister's call me Izzy, if you're into nicknames."

Kakra was sure she sounded stupid. Of course the rock would have been warm after all day in the sun. She would even guess that it stayed pretty warm most of the night. Possibly making it a good place to bake out aches. She was grateful when she was invited to find a spot.
"Thanks," she gave a nod of her head then proceeded to find a spot for herself near the edge. Kakra didn't want to crowd out her new acquaintance after she'd been invited to join her. Gingerly she lowered herself down until her body adjusted to the warmer temps. It really was nice once you got all the way down, she thought.
"Do you like Izzy or Ndizi?" The tawny lioness asked, curious. Just because her sisters used it didn't mean this lioness had to like it. She was quickly over coming that awkward feeling when two new lions meet. "I'm Kakra-maibe. Kakra will suffice."

"Hmmmm .... I guess i've never thought about which one I prefer." Contemplating the female's question, Izzy gained a far off look in her eye, almost as though her mind were in an entirely different place. "I mean, my sisters always called me Izzy and then the other cubs just followed along .... But its not a bad name, I guess you could say I like it!" She smiled, nodding her head affirmatively. The lioness hadn't asked her life story, nor had she asked for an epiphany yet somehow she'd ended up with a bit of both. "Izzy is fine by me!" Rolling over onto her back and stretching her paws high into the air, Izzy allowed her ears to take in the female's full name. "Kakra huh? That's a really pretty name! It sort of sounds like Chakra ... I still don't know exactly what that is. Some cub was trying to explain it to me the other day, but it was a bunch of gibberish to me!" She could go on and on like this and never even realize she was doing it. It was her problem area, every time she got into a social situation she rambled on and on and on never even realizing she was doing it. Most of the time, the other lion involved with slip away while she rambled. But sometimes, sometimes she got stuck with a lion who didn't mind her habits. While not necessarily a bad thing, it couldn't be helped but to think about how annoying it must be for the other lion. "So Kakra - I don't think i've seen you before, are you new here? OH! Are you trespassing?" Narrowing her eyes at Kakra she tried to measure her threat level. "Nah you're not a trespasser, I can tell."

Kakra got a slight smile as the younger female got that far away look in her eyes. She nodded. It didn't make sense to keep being called a name you didn't like. It could have just grown on her too, but as long as Izzy liked it that was enough.
"Then its a pleasure to meet you Izzy! It sort of does, doesn't it?" She gave a laugh. "Chakra? I've never heard of that either. I bet it'd sound like gibberish to me too." Kakra was enjoying listening to the talkative female. It was hard not having friends.
"Oh!" She looked at Izzy with dismay to be asked if she was tresspassing. Kakra relaxed when she refuted the claim herself. "I'm glad. Actually I have just joined. My.... previous pride...... faded away not long ago, and I was left alone. I'm hoping to find a perminate home here."

Izzy shrugged his shoulders and sighed in relief at Kakra's confession. She didn't really know what it was either, she probably she have paid more attention to the poor cub. But listening to things that you knew nothing about could be really difficult.
"Yeah I really didn't know what he was going on about! But I had to listen, I would have felt rude otherwise!" Gesturing her paw in a shoo away position she continued on.
The poor lionesses ears drooped as she heard of Kakra's position. She didn't really know what it was like to lost everything she had ever known. She'd always been here! Well at least for as long as she could remember. The only thing she ever found herself missing was a Dad ... she'd actually never known her own.
"I'm sorry Kakra," Rolling over onto her belly once more, she gently patted the other lioness on the shoulder. "If it makes you feel any better, you'll never be alone here! Not even when you want to be!" She giggled to herself thinking of her current predicament. Here she had come, hoping to be alone, and yet she had been found.
Perhaps there was a purpose behind it, who was she to knock fate?
"So how long have you been visiting? Do you like what you've seen so far? OH! MY ROCK! WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY ROCK?"
Her voice lost all sense of volume as she excitedly rambled on and on. This was a new feeling for her, to actually enjoy someone's company. Typically she was shunned away from others because of her tattle telling ways. She was actually liking this change of pace.

Kakra nodded sympathetically. There was always that one that talked and talked and talked. It would appear rude not to listen, but so hard to do. "What about distracting him with another topic?" She offered to the dilemma. While it wasn't ideal it was certainly better than being rude.
The tawny lioness gave a small, grateful smile to Izzy at the sympathy. "I like the sound of that." Kakra had the hope that maybe she'd fit in here better than her other two places. "A little bit, not too long." Just long enough to recover from nearly starving to apply, she thought. The lioness nodded.
"Very much. Everyone has been so nice to me since I got here." She gave a soft chuckle as the volume went up. "It's a lovely warm rock. I'm delighted that you shared it with me."

Izzy quickly rebutted Kakra's argument with a flick of her paw. "Naw, he's one of those types that's real dedicated to his interests. It'd take something real serious to swerve that kind of dedication!" Shrugging her shoulders, she rolled back over onto her back with a smile. "But sometimes he has interesting things to say so I guess its not all that bad."
"Yeah well, its not all its cracked up to be! If you ever really wanna be alone, you might have to take a mini vacation to the roguelands. The lions around here like to be really close with one another so sometimes you can feel a little swamped. But I hear the roguelands can be dangerous, I guess you'd know more about that than me." Izzy smiled warily, hoping to not offend the older female.
"Well on any note, welcome to the family Kakra! You're welcome to share my rock anytime you'd like." Laughing at her own comment, she narrowed her eyes and leaned in closer to the female. "Just between you and me, that's a huge honor!" With a quick wink, Izzy returned to her original position and began rubbing her shoulder blades against the warmth of the rocks.

She laughed. "Oh I see. I'll keep that in mind in case I ever run into him." Some were like that, and one just had to suffer through it. Kakra wondered what kind of interesting things he knew.
Maybe she was too new to have experienced that yet. It made her wondered if she'd be able to take it. Only time would tell, but she knew the rogue lands weren't for her. Kakra nodded slowly. "Yes they can."
"Thank you Izzy." She gave a smile. A soft laugh escaped at the wink. The rock certainly had its draws as she knew. It'd be crowded if lots of lions decided to use it.
