The beautiful Wild Dog had a patched pelt of ivories and ebony, creams and vanillas. Her eyes contrasted beautifully with the ivory, as they were a deep and beautiful blue. Though her brow was currently furrowed, eyes tainted with fear and confusion. Her figure was rather slender, save for her stomach, which bulged out only slightly. It had been weeks since she had seen Dhati, and her gut instinct was telling her something was wrong. She knew what it is, but denial was screaming in protest, allowed the femme to push the possibility to the back of her mind.

The fox coloured dog made his way gently through the grasses to where he saw the not so slender outline of his friend. "Mataka!" He smiled as he trotted over to her, "damn girl you been eating alot, you need to excersie more! Run around and play!" He chuckled lowering his body a little, his tail wagging behind him. He tilted his head at the femme and chuckled, "Come on lets go get rid of some of that fat for ya!"

"Mm...." She said, half mumbling, half sighing. "Dhati... I don't think It's fat." She admitted. Her coat and eyes looked dull, as she had lost her usual hyper attitude and her voice fell as she continued. "I think I'm pregnant." Sighing deeply, her vexed stare fell upon the male, lightening significantly. "I just don't know how it's possible." She half shrugged.

He looked at her wondering for a moment. He looked her up and down and then at her stomach, "Whats pregnant?" He tilted his head and his tail twitched behind him. She was just fat, maybe pregnant was another word for fat!

Eye widening slightly at his comment. She wondered if he was joking, though she doubted it, as his face looked serious, maybe even with a hint of curiousity. Hanging her head, the words fell from her maw shakily. "Pregnant, is when a creature is going to give birth..." She paused. "To pups..." She sighed. "It's where you came from, it's where we all came from. Though it takes a male for a female to come pregnant." She shook her head. "I just can't help thinking maybe it was you."

"Pups inside you?" He looked at her fat stomach again and then back at her blue eyes. "Did you eat them or something?" He was starting to look worried now, his friend ate pups? Why? She was so nice to him, why has she gone bad and eaten pups, what would Haiji think??

"Nooo..." She said, shaking her head firmly. "They were made inside me..." She thought hard, of how she could best describe conception. Coming to no obvious conclusion, she blinked, her eyes blurry, as her head was hurting. It had been a while since she had had a splitting headache, and it was a painful reminder. Lowering her head onto her paws. She smiled lightly. "My pups. Your pups. Our pups." She winced a little, hoping her breif explaination would calm the confused dogs.

"Mine? I ATE PUPS???" He suddenly looked shocked and worried, "Did you make me do it? We were only playing though that thing felt nice.. was that eating pups?" He whimpered a little and looked worried. He had eaten pups? How was he suppose to be an alpha if he was eating pups? Wait.... she said they were his pups, how could they be his? huh? "How are they mine and yours and ours?" He still looked confused.

She rose slowly, walking next to him and putting her head on his neck to calm him. "Dhati, calm down. You didn't eat pups." She explained. "We each have special erm....pieces of a jigsaw puzzle? And when you put the puzzle together, it makes pups?" It was a usless explaination but it was worth a try.

"A puzzle?" He looked a little less confused and when he looked at her body laying down, if he laid ontop of her on his back then they would fit together like a puzzle! "Oh so I lay on your back and then pups come into your stomach without eating them!" He suddenly looked proud as if he had worked it all out nice and easy.

She smiled, her mood was a little lighter, now she knew Dhati was beginning to understand, and hadn't acted paticularly freaked out at the news. Apart from the whole pup eating accusation, she thought he had handled it rather well, even though he was confused. Her short tail flickered slowly. Maybe she could get used to being a mother?
"Yes, I suppose you could say that!" She concluded. She didn't want to make things more difficult for the confused boy.

"Ah right!" He smiled and looked around, "So as you have pups living in you does that mean you wont ever be able to play again? Do the pups come out?" He had more questions but would be at least a little bit nice to his friend after all, she was trying to explain things to him!

"Ooooh!" She bounced up. Speaking to Dhati had made her feel considerably happier. Smiling at him, she nodded. "Yeah! I can still play!!" She giggled. Nothing would ever stop her from being herself, like Kucha had said, it was a shame to change. Nodding again, the female began to contemplate labour, and felt a sudden pang of fear. "Yeah, they will in a few months?" She guessed.

Dhati smiled, "Great lets go find Haiji, she can know about the eating of puppies and how laying on top of each other puts puppies in you!" He wagged his tail and turned to head back. "Then we can go play once Haiji knows about your puppies!" It hadn't hit him that the pups were his and it was a thing to wonder if it ever would hit that he was a father or at least a father to be.
